We arent even from the area but my drivers side window fell off the track. Looked them up and they have good reviews because they are good. Got my window regulator and window motor fixed same day and had plenty of time to enjoy the rest of our vacation.

My visit to Salas Auto Shop was one of (if not the) best experiences I’ve had with an auto repair shop. I was traveling, and a couple hundred miles from my usual auto repair shop, when my car started shaking caused by engine misfiring. This can cause major damage to the car if the misfiring is regular and you keep driving. My friend looked up auto shops, but we were hesitant to go somewhere we had never been and just found in a google search. Salas was so kind to us, calming my panicked voice on the phone and saying to bring it in and “leave the headache to them.” We found out when we got there that he had ordered the part as soon as we got off the phone and had it ready when we got there. They had the work done in about an hour, while we talked to the amazing woman who works at the front desk about her sunrise photography and living each day like it’s your birthday. They did not overcharge, and even slightly lowered the charge to match what he told me over the phone. When he was done, he test drove the car to make sure everything was working right, and even cleaned the windshield so we were safe driving the mountain road ahead. I could not have asked for kinder, honest people or a better experience Thank you🥰

I had a wonderful experience here with the owner Fidel! My cars battery was dead & I was driving around on a Sunday (of all days) looking for a mechanic to fix it. They were open and happy to help me at 8 am! It took him literally just 10 mins to switch my battery, all while maintaining a lovely conversation. The pricing was fair & reduced with my cash payment. This was honestly the best experience Ive ever had at any shop, especially as a woman, he was so kind & helpful. I really appreciated how he explained to me the difference between a bad starter vs a bad battery, very helpful information for the future. Ill definitely be returning! Hes very educated on Toyotas too, and went to school for other car brands as well.

I was so worried to take my 06 prius in because I knew there was a lot wrong. Not only did Fidel send me pictures and explain each part that needed to be fixed, he was even able to do a little bit of body work on my car that needed a new bumper. I had had the body work appraised at a different place in town that was twice the price, so Im so glad I found this place. The owners wife is absolutely amazing too! Had my car back very quickly and great communication

Ive experienced a lot of different mechanics and Salas is truly the best. Highly trustworthy, very thorough, and charges reasonable prices. Every time Ive brought my car to him he recognizes the issue right away and says I know what this is, I can fix this. Afterwards he shows and explains exactly what he repaired on the vehicle which is highly appreciated since a lot of mechanics just want to push you out the door once youre done. Salas has gone above and beyond expectations, I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good mechanic.

Amazing!!! Fidel was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule at the last minute. I asked him simply to give my car a jump and he went above and beyond by picking up a new battery for my car on the way! He installed it in 5 minutes and made sure everything else was running ok and my fluids were checked. He was patient with my questions, and super friendly and knowledgeable. This guy just turned my terrible day around and I would 100% recommend him. I don’t know what I would have done without his service today. Thank you Fidel!

Fidel was prompt coming to our rescue when we had an emergency repair. We were camping near Santa Barbara and in town for fun. My son’s in laws car broke down on a Saturday, just a short time after our call to him the car was fixed and we were on the road again. Fast, thorough and friendly. Can’t say how much we appreciated his help!!

I highly recommend SALAS AUTO REPAIR INC, Lexus Toyota Honda Specialist on 205 S Salinas St in Santa Barbara. The owner/mechanic, Fidel used to work at DCH Lexus and opened his own shop three years ago. He is super honest, almost half the price of what this new Lexus dealership owner group is charging. I took my Lexus IS 250 in for a big maintenance service today- basically got every single kind of fluid changed, front and rear brake replace, alignment, throttle body service and got my car back within 6 hrs. My car drives so much nicer after their service. They even offered ride and washed my car before pick up. Dealership service without the dealership prices. Can’t be happier!

Let me just start by saying this amazing auto repair shop is open on Saturdays!!! In addition, to their obvious work ethic, this team is not only professional, but willing to go that extra mile to educate their customer in a way that shows a sincere desire to empower their client with knowledge about their car. In a time when automobiles are essentially a computer and most people have absolutely no desire to get stranded on the side of the road- it brings a sigh of relief that a business in our not so small town of Santa Barbara still operates according to principles. These guys are the best mechanics I ever met. Very respectable, very reliable, very honest and jovial. Im generally a do yourself guy, so I have have a little knowledge about automobiles mechanism. I had this loud grining noise coming from the right side of my hood and I couldnt figure out what it was. Called around 7 shops and everyone was giving me 2-3 days appointment. Called these guys and told them my problem and they told me to come on over right away. Instantly they started working on my truck and solved the problem in minutes.
