I like that the location is close to Tesla supercharger. You can do your shopping while charging the car. I was here for wine gift bags. They were about $7 per bag.

I am writing to express my disappointment in the service provided at our Los Gatos location on April 13th. Normally, I wouldnt send my husband, who is unfamiliar with grocery shopping protocols, but on this day he took on the task. Unfortunately, his experience at the self-checkout, particularly while purchasing a bottle of wine, was far from welcoming.The manager on duty approached my husband with a remark suggesting he should have known better than to attempt to purchase wine at the self-checkout. Following this, he was informed in a tone that was less than professional, to chill out and that he needed to buy two bottles instead of one, without a clear explanation.As customers, we expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of our familiarity with store policies. The interaction was not only unprofessional but also left us feeling unwelcome and unlikely to return for future shopping needs.I also want to share another unprofessional behavior by the same manager, which raises concerns about professionalism at this store. My husband witnessed the manager was juggling lemons and limes in the produce section, engaging employees in this behavior rather than focusing on customer service. This display was not only inappropriate but also indicative of poor managerial conduct and a lack of proper training. Such actions can detract from the shopping experience and undermine the professionalism expected at a reputable store like Safeway.I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness. I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration to improve the training and customer service.

I will never come back to this location. I was waiting at the Deli department for a very long time. A lady named Raquel passed by me twice while making eye contact with me and she never came to help me nor did she ever communicate to me that she would be helping me or that she was busy. Instead, she was in the back with some other ladies and not one of them ever acknowledged me either. Why are these people even hired for ?? Also, it’s very unsanitary to be eating the food while prepping it!! I don’t think this place enforces any rules!!

I had the worst experience at Safeway today. I was picking up milk cartons and was accosted by an employee who rudely asked me to take just one packet and return the rest. I was neither emptying the shelf nor was there any policy against taking multiple cartons. I walked away to the counter, checked with another customer service representative that I was allowed to buy more than one carton, and checked out, all the while shaking! Never have I faced such a situation in any other grocery store.

Generic supermarket. The parking is tough up top but youre pretty much guaranteed a spot down in the bottom parking lot. Good selection of food.

Today was actually only a 3-star visit because theyre in the midst of remodeling and everything is moved around and it was hard to find anything. But overall its a 4-star for me. Update: The remodeling took forever and still doesnt seem like its totally done yet. Its currently sitting at a 3.5 stars for me. The pharmacy is good, though.

Safeway is absolutely a better, overall store than Luckys is. Taking the time to make this review should tell you that Im a fan of this supermarket!

This is from our first pandemic 2020, trip to Los Gatos Safeway. I knew it was possible but crazy to see really happen. No bread, no eggs, no paper products, One banana and no social distancing.

Exactly what you would expect from a Safeway located in Los Gatos. Lots and lots of high-end food beyond the usual groceries. The deli section looks phenomenal! Dont worry about a lack of parking near the front door, they have a gigantic underground parking lot beneath the store. 2 hours limit for free parking! An elevator or stairs will take you up to the store.
