I order pick up and they never say anything is out of stock but always end up having to replace one or more items at the end. I called up to make sure they didnt sub 1 ramen pack for a 6 pack and they said they couldnt do it. So smart to replace a weeks worth of food with one meal. I am done with Safeway, they cant do their jobs and you can never tell if your items will be in stock

HUGE shoutout to Safeway in Sonoma today, I left my wallet in a cart in the parking lot, whoever found it returned it to guest services and it sat for 4 days before I picked it up. Everything was still in my wallet including my cash. Thank you all sooooo much!

With all the rain lately, I didn’t want to go out and do grocery shopping. So I used Uber Delivery. In a pinch it’s a good service. The staff at the Sonoma store location are very helpful. And those clerks working with Uber Delivery do a very nice job. And the delivery drivers with Uber are always helpful and make sure the items are delivered right to the door.

I went in last week to the deli section to get a sandwich and there was a lady in the bakery named Adriana that had a rude attitude as soon as i asked if i could get my sandwich toasted she rolled her eyes and said sure then i asked for extra ham and she told me it would cost almost 2 dollars just for extra ham i did not deserve to be treated like that over all apart from the deli incident, i this love safeway.

We started at Sonoma Safeway this morning during their Seniors Hours (7am to 9am)on Tuesday and Thursday. They were letting anyone in. Saw lots of young people coming in.A lot of their shelves were empty. No eggs, hamburger, bread low, meat section skimpy, paper products, toilet paper hand towels out. Fruit and fresh vegetables low or no stock.Went to Sonoma Whole Foods, they had only one door to enter and had someone only letting Seniors in. They had lots of bread, eggs, meat, and fruit and vegetables . Better stocked store.Well go the Whole Foods next time.

No empty shelves at this Safeway! This Sonoma Safeway is a very busy store and although there are wheelchair accessible parking spaces and entrances including wheelchair accessible restrooms I wouldnt say its very wheelchair friendly because of how busy they are and the parking lot is often full and quite unpredictable. I can say that I always find what Im looking for and all departments are clean and well stocked. The employees are always helpful and willing to help you out with any need you might have. I prefer this Safeway to all the others when it comes to my shopping needs. Way to go, Sonoma Safeway!!!

All three electronic carts were charging. everything was nice, we bought a water bottle cleaning brush that was made of soft white foamy spongy material, that twirled in a circle for over 6,the handle was at least 4 long. and a spray bottle to cool us down, around $2.

Easy to find items. Carts are new. Lots of parking. Ahna that works at Starbucks is super nice as are all the employees (except one lady I wont name).The one thing I CANNOT STAND is the extremely loud BEEEEP when they make an overhead announcement regarding a phone call or whatever. That noise is SUPER startling. Because of that, I shop fast. And have left not getting all the items I came for. Please consider getting walkie-talkies.

Worse experience ever In a Safeway store. Found most everything I needed, no problem...first in line to checkout and theres 5 female employees standing there talking about a date one of them had the night b4...asked for some help to check out and one of them said just a minute...I lost it...left my stuff there and went to a competitor to shop. Old saying about Safeway is still true, easy in, hard as heck to get out of.

This store is the main grocery story in Sonoma. Overall, it has a good layout and everything you need. However, we have noticed many times how sloe it can be. Cashier folks vary but many of them are very slow and sometimes hear them chatting it up with customers. No sense of urgency or concern for waiting customers. I have also had to find a hand basket in store from time to time. It is what it is and the store itself meets our needs but be prepared to demonstrate patience depending on your luck.

Cookies from the bakery are great. Frozen pizza selection is excellent. Butchers are really friendly and they have many meats, including some nice kebabs. Produce looks fresh and the store layout is intuitive.

I shop Safeway a lot, in many different cities and county’s and have only visited this one 3 times. I went in yesterday to pick up a cake I’d ordered for my best friends birthday ( she lives in Sonoma) It was so pretty and decorated and frosted just as ordered. Unfortunately, they failed to put the fresh strawberries I’d ordered in the filling. This couldn’t be known until the cake was cut.Also of note is that this Sonoma Safeway is 40 miles from where I live. I called the bakery this morning and they are willing to refund my money which is wonderful, but I’m not driving 40 miles to get $40. The sales associate told me to take my receipt to the Safeway nearest me and they will refund my money. I will try this and hope it works. Safeway is a pretty stand up company and I’ve never had a problem with them before so we shall see. The cake btw was very good even though it wasn’t exactly what I ordered nor paid for .

I get groceries delivered from them. Mostly had good service. But my last 2 deliveries were not good. I received a whole bag of someone elses groceries. Felt bad that someone was waiting for their food and would not be getting it. I tried calling the deliverer but could not get them to answer or leave a message. Could not reach customer Service. The last delivery had the wrong paper work so I couldnt see what was delivered or substituted, etc. My next order was to Luckys and it went much better. My suggestion is to order early delivery of you use Safeway. The bad deliveries came after 6pm both nights. Otherwise I love the idea of delivered groceries for us handicapped seniors.

Find almost anything needed for pantry, plus. BIG store, wear walking shoes. W/C accessible from parking lot through the store. If you belong to the Club, you will find lots of bargains. Prepare for 3 customers per check out, but they move fast. Little eye contact from checkers because they are focused on scanning your items

Love our local Safeway in Sonoma CA. I usually shop in there when I get off work at 12:30 a.m. The nicest kindest people work on that shift. I couldnt be more satisfied with their customer service! Eric Neil and Paco are the best. They go above and beyond Duty to get me what I need or am looking for. If it is not stocked on the Shelf or in the freezer section even if it is not their Department/section that they are working in.

The customer service station at this Safeway is particularly awful. There is never anyone there and if you do want help you have to go fetch someone who usually acts like you are asking too much of them. But tonight I experienced extra terrible customer service from what I can only assume was the night manager, he was rude and short with me. If you need customer service skip this Safeway. ps Teach your employees people skills.

Im sure most of the staff is nice but working under the hedge funds management must be a nightmare. Staff is so demoralized and it shows. It seems as corporate has intentionally written off this store. Its full of skanky junkies and if you cant find an item, good luck! No one will ever be there to assist you.Sadly, Whole Foods across the street pulled almost all of the middle class and higher away, leaving only the poor brown skinned folks to fend for themselves at Safeway.Suburban Safeways are largely beautiful.

Sept. 10, 2017 Subday night at 9pm had to wait 45 minutes in line. There were only 2 cashiers and at least 7 customers in each line. Couldnt use the self check out because i was only buying wine. It was ridiculous. Management should of opened up a lane to help with 15 itams or less.

I am mostly happy with my experiences shopping here. I use Disabled parking and can usually find a space. The people in produce are great and most of the checkers are great, although there are a lot of new ones.I do find that its hard to find some kinds of produce and the dairy department is often missing many items. But my BIGGEST complaint is all of the top shelves are WAY too high. And I especially have trouble at the dairy case. I try to call for help but mostly no one is in the back or they cannot hear me. I have left the store so many times w/o buying things just because I cannot reach them.

Safeway was the worst I have ever seen it this Saturday. The lines were way back into the aisles. I have never seen it this bad in the 20 years that Ive lived here in Sonoma. There was only three Checkers on a Saturday afternoon. There was also about 10 jars of salsa that were broken in the middle of the aisle and people were having to walk around it, it was a hazardous area. The management at Safeway in Sonoma really needs to start looking at customer service instead of trying to save money on having less Checkers there to serve people. I will not be shopping there again. Also the checkers are inadequate. Slow to respond and do not very friendly.

Went with my husband to pick up some random items this morning which included some alcohol for him. I didnt bring my purse as he was buying stuff for himself. We went to the register to pay. I waited by the bagging area as he was getting his ID out. No problem. The cashier, Jennifer looked over at me and asked for my ID as well. I told her I dont have my purse on me and the alcohol was for my husband. She says we cant pay for it unless I leave the line. I do so to avoid conflict but this is ridiculous for many reasons. I understand that she was trying to avoid under age sales. Im 33 and my husband is 31. But to ask someone to leave the line when they havent bought anything is absurd. Would you ask child with no ID to leave the line when their parents are buying beer? Or a friend that just tags along and doesnt even drink? I did some research and learned that this really isnt a safeway policy ( we have never had any issues at any other Safeway prior ) but its up to the cashier. I feel this is a mine field for being profiled whether racially or otherwise. I also view it as a safety issue if your asking a child to leave the line or younger sister, friend, wife etc.

This store is a zoo and always out of toilet paper in all the bathrooms. Its always flooded with people. Its like everyones buying food 24 hours a day specifically at Safeway and the other three grocery stores in Sonoma are a lot quieter. Sonoma has too many grocery stores for the size of its town yet 90% of the people flock at Safeway like a flock of wild turkeys. the workers at the deli scowl and are very unfriendly theres one specific woman who makes sandwiches who frowns deeper than the crack of the Grand Canyon I asked for a extra large sandwich and the ranch bottle was almost completely empty she squeezed out two little droplets of it and forced me to take the sandwich that way literally having me pay for something that wasnt complete. I hate dealing with her and Ive dealt with her six times but I live with someone that really likes a steak sandwich from Safeway but Im literally telling him to forget about it because I cant stand going there any more to their deli. Im done.

I used Safeway since 1984 the Pharmacy for 10 years since they started use in computer to do automatic refill they just do it even you didnt want it. Last month they filled a RX my husband picked up and it was the wrong one I took it back they said since the RX was taken out the store they couldnt give the money back. This month the same thing happen so I RX back and wrote what I need they confirm it my husband pick it up aging same mistake. I became very upset because they wouldnt fix the problem a new ass. Maneger came over and told me if I didnt lower my voice that she would have thrown out of her store. I said really this is your store she went on to tell me that I was banned from her store. I finish shopping paid for my grocery by passing on the way out I practice my freedom of speech, went to my car and a man came to the window and told me that a nagger just took a picture of my license. Gee like theres no other store in Sonoma and if this was her store why is she still working .safeway get better people to rap res sent you or you are going to loose more costumers. Ill take the star back someone need to clean things up😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
