The new manager Michelle is unprofessional, rude and treats her employees like trash. She came up to her employees while my husband and I were asking them questions and she yelled/cursed. at all of them in front of myself and other employees. When I spoke with some of the employees about her, they stated she gets a lot of HR complaints, is rude to customers on the phone and has no bedside manners. I shop at Safeway daily and many of the employees told me that if I were to go in there again that’s she’d kick me out because I store up for the staff. Hopefully she gets the training and guidance she needs to be a better leader. As of right now, she’s just an embarrassment to Safeway.

Great place to go if youd like to get assaulted by a homeless man or by the security guard who will tell you, Does this badge say Safeway when first entering the building. All of these positive reviews are fake, this location is famous for shootings and stabbings. Its gotten so bad they dont even allow you to exit the building without walking to the opposite corner of the store.Somebody needs to fire the young, tall, skinny, African-American security guard (who wears a beanie that makes him look like hes going to rob the place) before he causes a serious conflict. Im a light-skinned African American man and Ive never felt so enraged by being a grocery store. Ive had homeless people call me slurs while stealing donuts and this man will laugh and watch.

The store has really declined in service. Also the very basics are locked up and it takes almost five minutes to wait for assistance to unlocked dental flossers. I am going back to Winco in Vacaville.

Quick in & out stop. The store was pretty much empty in the early morning. I usually use the self-checkout, but since there were no customers and the cashier look bored; I went to get checked out at the registers. Picked up some snacks (Hawaiian Mango Habanero chips, cliff bars & a couple packs of jumbo cookies).

Im in the store right now, waitin in a line with over 30 other people. The deli is filthy, it always only has ONE woman working behind the counter, who cleans up while she has to serve another customer? I called to apply and a woman said they were Over staffed, which was a lie because previously while IN the store I was told by an employee it was, and always is understaffed. This is all Corporates fault. I Pray it can change. Otherwise i like the aisles.

Its deffenitly better than it was a while back. 3-8-24It was horrible! Because of that In and Out Burger place its made the parking lot hard to maneuver around and it just seems dirty in that store now and especially at the check out counter. But the employees were very nice. The shelves still looked picked threw and not stocked at all and you couldnt see into the frozen doors on the frozen food isles. Actually it still looked like they never recovered from the covid pandemic. I probably will not be going back to shop there again. Also their prices are a lot higher than other grocery stores. You pay more for a lot less. Shopping there today put my partner and I both in bad moods. I imagine tomorrow new yrs Eve will be a lot worse than it was today.

I enjoy coming to this Safeway. They have consistently done everything they can to make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible, which hasnt been easy over the last 3 years. Its clean, the people are helpful and friendly, and they have adequate parking.

Wanted a handmade sandwich and was told the deli was closed at 5pm. The worker behind the counter kept talking away from me giving me no eye contact for me to understand clearly what he was saying on top of him having a heavy accent. I asked, so you mean the deli is closed for the rest of the day? He turns away and said something to his coworker where the coworker comes from around the corner and asks how can he help me. I told him what type of sandwich I wanted and he said that they were out of smoked turkey that they only had regular turkey and I settled with that. When he removed the lids from the compartments, there were a lot of clear plastic packaging of all kinds of meats and cheese and it was like the worker was looking for a needle in a haystack, all of the lettuce had brown edges, there was only one piece of tomato and they didnt have any more, and he kept banging the mayonnaise bottle on the counter trying to get mayonnaise out instead of promptly getting a fresh bottle. The sandwich was for my client and because he wanted a sandwich so bad, I had to look at this deli person make a poorly made sandwich. What a shame for this type of service from a popular store chain.

Employees were not greeting or made me feel welcomed the female in the express line turned her head and was about to walk away as soon as she seen me coming with my 3 items. And the other at self check out was just standing against the wall staring at me while have a side conversation with a worker. Did not thank me or anything as I was leaving past her. Shouldnt that be a requirement while working greet and or thank your customers? Because of that I will not be returning. Get rid of the homeless person sleeping five feet from the door with his belongings scattered everywhere makes no sense how the manager allows that. I will continue to grocery shop in the Bay area then bring it home to Vallejo.

The store is poorly stocked and poorly staffed. Rarely do I leave with any of the items I walked in to purchase. The addition of the alarmed gates sealed the deal for me. The gates are positioned at every checkout line and every exit. They make me feel like a sheep in a pen. I will not be returning.

Always an enjoyable experience! Staff is always within reach, helpful and friendly while implementing safety protocols. Inventory provides variety, ideas as well as what Im there for. $5 Fridays are my absolute favorite!!! This store is always super clean, carts included.I could do delivery but it takes away these enjoyable experiences; you cant fault me that!

Terrible. I stopped purchasing produce there years ago. Right before the pandemic, I went back and noticed their produce section was clean, well organized and the produce was fresh! Years prior I would Bring fruits and vegetables home, only to realize once I opened them that they were rotten. I started shopping there, their produce associate Shyne was an exceptional worker. The produce area was always clean and the produce was fresh. I could step in the door and tell whether he was working or not. When he is not there, the produce is old, scattered and I am unable to get assistance. He has not been there for sometime, I went in to spend 1,000.00 on produce, for a party. The produce dept was trash. I don’t believe that associate works there anymore; they need him. Get him back . I took one look down the produce aisle and walked out. Since then, 3 out of the 4 times I’ve purchase fruit, it has been rotten. Shop elsewhere. As high as their prices are, there should be a higher standard for this store’s performance and customer service.

Store is clean. Employees are very helpful. Gas is reasonable for members. My only disappointment is they have cut down on items carried on shelves, no doubt due to COVID. I am disabled so they were very helpful in getting an electric cart.

GREAT SERVICE BY LORA! I was on my way home on New Years Eve and the store was packed! What I thought a very stressful time lining to the cashier will happen, Lora saved me by offering to ring me in the Flower Section. She was a delightful and cheerful worker. She made sure that all my questions was asked when I purchased a basket and even kindly gave me suggestions. These are the workers that you needed to PROMOTE! Lora is undoubtedly a gem of a worker for Safeway Admiral Callaghan Vallejo!!! Employees in the deli and hot foods section dont care if you work there or not. They will take care of other people instead of there own employees or even there working neighbors that are on 30 min break, its obvious when you are wearing your uniform and name badge and im still Totally ignored.Went hungry today because i had only 15 mins left of lunch from waiting on a staff member to help me but she was still walked past me and was on the first sandwich she started.DELI AND HOT FOODS NEEDS MORE STAFF ALSO MAKE THE SUSHI GUY HELP TOO. he doesnt do much work for the little bit of sushi he makes.They understaffed to open the store but still do.

Spent 15min in line to get propane...they had only 1 cashier. After purchasing the propane, I waited another 5 min for someone to get it. To only come to find out they were our of propane and had to return the funds back to me. Need better inventory counting... Need more cashiers!!!

This store is so fantastic. I love waiting in line for twenty minutes and the best part is, you can do it whenever you want! Seriously, any time of day, if you want to be halfway down the orange juice isle while you wait for twenty people to make their purchases, this is the place for you! Plenty of time to socialize, meet new people and discuss various sociopolitical issues. A great experience indeed.

Nice shopping area. I went before getting my oil changed for my car. Very busy because of having a Safeway and an In N Out in the same parking lot. Its also right off the freeway, so people may see the shopping area and stop along the way to where theyre going to.

Since the launch of self check out, the stores check out time has decreased (except on 5$ Fridays).... it also helped that they hired a lot of help who are really pleasant. Store stays pretty clean considering the amount of transients that enter here.

4 for this visit!I used to prefer shopping here until awhile back some people shopping there pulled a distraction theft type thing and the lady manager working there apparently believed me & my son were in on this and she was rude and took photos of us at our car?! I was very embarrassed once I realized what she was doing! I had been going here for years up until this point. Not anymore, unless I have too. But the young guy with the long braids that helped us today was great! Get more like him & get rid of that Manager, shell ruin this store!

The layout of this store makes no sense!! Its about the same size as any other grocery store yet it feels crowded. The carts are in a confusing place and like items are not close to each other. For example, the milk is not in the dairy aisle!

Nice store but the deli people arent consistent on their portion sizes for the $7 deal. I can see having a standard for the entree...but so much of the salads are thrown out so why give work little? The lines are often very long and they are putting more and more merchandise in the middle of the aisles. They have become one way streets making it not only difficult to get through but also difficult to just look at products without being in someones way constantly. At least most of the time the employees are nice. They look stressed but are friendly because they know we are both in the same boat of being treated like cattle rather than customers & employees.

Staff needs to be present and better trained at the deli. The busiest time at this store is from about 6pm to 8pm. So it would stand to reason that you would have more help available at these hours. When i finally got someone to help me 15 minutes later, they clearly dont know what goes on their sandwiches on their menu.. to ad insult to injury, the person making my food stopped in the middle of it to chit chat with someone else. This was by far the worst customer service Ive received at any safeway.

If you shop for only items that you see advertised on TV, this is a great store. But if you are vegetarian or vegan, its challenging to get your shopping done here. Although they routinely advertise vegan items, quite often a trip to this store ends in frustration.Very often, advertised items are out-of-stock. Its also really difficult to get staff help in the aisles, and when you do find an employee(or after you wait 5 minutes for them to respond to a page)they often arent familiar with the items you seek, and dont know where they are located.I want to like this store, because other Safeways - American Canyon, Concord - are awesome! I just wish Vallejos store could get up to par.

This Safeway is one of the worst I have been in. In recent weeks there are no carts or baskets. The baskets are always stacked next to the check out and not moved by employees to where they should be next to the doors. Carts are in back, behind the store??? The lines are always long. Items not on shelves because they sell out and are not ordered based on sales. Seems they dont have enough staff as it as been a constant disappointment through several managers in the four years I have been shopping at this store. I dont think it is a management problem, rather a lack of hours for employees which indicates it is a corporate mandate for as few hours as possible.

For me to look up on the internet and find out that your store is open, then call and have your automated system tell me your stores open until 11, then to get there between 10 p.m. and 11 and be told that you closed at 10. Why would I shop at your store if you gave me the wrong information and make my first experience super annoying? Then your online assistant tells me you closed 9pm. Get your sh** together.

It is what it is. This particular safeway is clean and stocked with everything youll need. Meats are hit and miss, bakery and produce is ok. The pharmacy is good. Checkers and baggers are all fast, not like wallmart; again it is what it is. Parking lot is a bit crazier with the addition of In & Out but not too bad, just make sure not to leave any visable belongings in your car.

We shop at the Lincoln Road Safeway 2 ~ 3 times a week, have been customers of theirs for 20 + years as well as have kids employed with them. The employees are friendly & always helpful. If you cant find what you want they will do their best to get it for you.

Great place to shop for groceries at discounted prices. Products are priced a tad bit higher than foodmaxx, but it makes up for it with their reward points system. Who wouldnt want to earn gas points for buying groceries?This particular Safeway has more food products and is better maintained than the other Safeway stores in the Vallejo area.**UPDATE 1/8/22**They are continiously adding new food brands and their organic selection is huge now.

I dont think they have a training program for customer service, safety bagging of raw meats and fresh produce, or any concept of working in a timely fashion as good customer service. I find it hard to speak to some of the cashiers in fear that theyll strike up a conversation just to slow up the service!!! If you cant scan and talk, please just scan the groceries.

Im going to give the Admiral Callaghan Way Safeway 3 stars! During the height of the pandemic, this store had security inside the store and sometimes at the entrance to make sure shoppers wore masks PROPERLY (not below their nose or under their chin)! The store was equipped with sanitizer wipes just inside the entrance. And, to further ensure shopper safety this Safeway provided a worker to collect and sanitize shopping carts. Well no more.Half the time the sanitizer wipe dispenser is empty and shoppers have to get their own carts. This is unacceptable!!Safeway is a multibillion corporation...surely they can show more concern about shoppers health, after all shoppers helped them become a successful food chain. All Im asking for, as a shoppers, is to have carts gathered and sanitized and if they are no longer sanitizing carts then please make sure dispensers are ALWAYS full so their shoppers can clean the carts. And finally, the pandemic is not over and their shopping public deserve to have as much safety inside a public space---please Safeway, ensure shoppers wear masks while shopping. Thank you.

I felt unsafe as I was almost hit by a speeding car going into the store from my car and a man was stalking me as I was going back to my car taking photos. No one else was around for help as I had to park far for a parking spot.The items and store were okay themselves but there wasnt anyone out on The floor to ask for assistance and when getting in line only one speed check out was open and one regular. I was in a line of 8 people with large baskets waiting to be checked out! UNACCEPTABLE! I learned within a short time the resources were likely being spent on stopping a perpetrator that had attempted to steal an entire cart full of meat and they did prevent that. Once that scenario was over they did open up a few more lanes. However, by that time I already had my food on the conveyor belt and it did not affect my situation nor the amount of time I spent standing in line.I actually came down to Vallejo from Fairfield to see what it was like to shop at the Safeway because I am unhappy with the Safeway in Fairfield and am looking for another place to shop. This experience was enough to tell me that I will not be back. The experience in the parking lot both going in and out was a definite no for me and if my experience with the wait in line is not just a one-time experience, I would suggest the managers need to read this and figure out how to do management and scheduling better and go back to their old saying 3 is a crowd.

Even though the store has the largest selection of any safeway Ive been to and is really nice, the upfront staff really needs to step up their game to match the quality of the store.Their baggers and checkout personnel seem to not have been trained at all for their job. They will put 1-2 small/medium items in one bag, and put ALL the glass and breakable items in another bag. This has happened to me on multiple occasions and with different baggers, and Ive broken many items in my car due to this. Now, every time I leave the store, I have to re-bag all my items before putting them in my car so that I dont have a bunch of bags with single items, and so that everything doesnt break. And then Im left with a hand full of un-needed plastic bags. What a waste! Its like all their staff are incorrectly trained, if at all.There was one time when they completely forgot to bag one of my items, too. I didnt realize it until a week later when I couldnt find it in my kitchen when I needed it the most. That has never happened at any other grocery store, even the low-dollar ones.

I try to avoid Vallejo Safeway as much as possible. The store is messy. The lines are long. The selection of food is terrible and the parking lot always has trash on it. Reminds me of a Dollar Store. Bathrooms were absolutely horrible with over flowing water on the floor of one and the other was in major need or repair. The wait for the shortest line to checkout was over 20 min. After asking the cashier why, she told me it was always like this and the manager wouldnt get enough people. Safewsy was a 4 🌟 . With the help ( i forgot to get the employees name but she was workin the service desk, physically took me to the sales floor to help me find my Crystal Light. This was the fourth store I had been into and none of the other ones had it. I was also able to find my the choice Chow Mein noodles. I absolutely love the Vallejo Safeway, this was my first trip there as how I live in Florida and Im here on a family emergency. Safeway is Safeway, the world around: or at least California around. It is usually clean, they have cashiers when they are crowded and they have their usual selection of foods. You can dash in for an item if you are passing by or sink a paycheck in comestible goods to store up for feeding the family. Of the three stores in the area, it is the most used for us. One star down for traffic along Admiral Callahan during rush, at times it is tough to navigate and they might could use another traffic signal: especially if In N Out comes there.
