Literally garbage everywhere I have to step over piles around piles Ive been a shopper at Safeway for over 25 years I come here to get food and feel good and secure about buying food at Safeway and they have piles of garbage everywhere outside the only small dumpster they have in front of all the neighbors who have to work hard pay taxes and keep their yards clean and their receptacles clean with no trash in their yard and they have to clean up Safeway trash its blowing everywhere Safeway is skirting the law and violating code enforcement by not paying for trash dumpsters they should be finedand possibly just close down because theyre a dump, look how nice the neighbors yards are in the background this is horrible youre a horrible neighbor Safeway

This young lady has horrible costumer service, coming from someone that’s worked in her same position at Vons. She was very rude and dishonest & she’s a manager. Her name is Kimberly. Horrible manger skills Safeway could possibly have, she needs more training on how to treat costumers.

The store inside is nice; but there are no carts . It was not busy, I asked a manager why there were no carts. Evidently people take them 🤷🏻‍♂️. Corporate does not replace them. Very bizarre- not sure how they expect to get shoppers that way. Nice people working there

Im only commenting on the tri tip bbq rid ends they had for 50 percent off after the deli closes, I should of known this was too good to be true, they were un chewable, only a tiger could chew those end tips, the regular bbq ribs for $8.99 are good, but if you go cheap you cant chew it, they should just throw that tough meat in the trash.

You guys close one entrance/exit making it a pain for parking and then you add so many online pickup spots on the open side of the store taking out parking for regular people shopping. In all the years you’ve had online pickup spots at this store I have never seen anyone using them for that and now there’s more than there were. Who are you catering to?? Because it’s not the regular shopper

Blown away. After days of trying to get flowers delivered to my mom in the hospital with cancer, florists that will no longer deliver to hospitals (because of covid I presume), and two failed DoorDash attempts, manager Esther from store 968 on Lincoln Road came to the rescue. She saw my cancelled DoorDash orders for flowers and fixed the problem, hand delivering the flowers herself! She made the bouquet and even sent me a picture beforehand! Esther is truly an angel and went out of her way to help me today. I am truly thankful.

Do not shop here. I only shop here because the grocery delivery company I work for sends me here. Each and every time I come here, they have low stocked items or none of the item at all, and poor customer service. Half of the employees look like they want to quit, and almost all the hygiene products and alcohol are locked up. It’s fine that certain items are locked up, but waiting nearly 30 minutes for someone to unlock an item you need is ridiculous. Don’t shop here. There are two perfectly good Safeways in the area. I highly recommend the Safeway on admiral Calaghan lane or glen cove.

This is the worse Safeway in the area. Horrible service, dirty parking lot, and no carts. Everything important is locked up and it takes way too long to get help to retrieve any said item. If the area is so bad that you need to lock everything up then I would recommend closing the sotre.

4.7 its an old fashioned supermarket in a building that carries all the nostalgia of when you were a kid if youre in my same age group. Service is attentive and friendly service with a smile type atmosphere and the location is kept clean with adequate parking and is accessible from anywhere in town in just a few minutes driving.

Staff was very rude and discourteous. On top that they have a very flawed return policy. I purchased a pack of diapers in the Walnut Creek Safeway but I bought the wrong size. When I got to home to my local safeway I was told that this particular safeway doesnt carry the same size diapers and that I could not return them there. Completely baffled I asked if there was a policy he could show me that supports this and he stated there wasnt. Should have jus went to Walmart

On Mar. 8, 2023, 18:09 pm, a cashier named Cheryl was unprofessional. I had bought a Robux gift card, the cashier went on to explain about the receipt and I told her I understood that, she had the nerve to tell me whatever, I replied back whatever, as I took a few steps the cashier yelled have a nice day, I replied no, thats ok. As I got to the photo kiosk, the cashier yelled louder have a nice day. Shes supposed to represent Safeway, and thats not the way to do it.

Very Customer oriented business, INSIDE, however, alot to be desired in the outer perimeter. Initially, going in, I was in a hurry and always in need of a basket to lean on, with no success, because, homeless in the area take off with the Stores carts constantly. Frustrated and in a hurry, I almost left!One of the Clerks (young African American Gentleman with a very unusual name)was very patient, attentive and caring enough to run down a basket, assist me with putting heavy items in my cart and periodically, checked on us (Im disabled)to make sure we were getting everything we needed.I almost thought I was in a high end Boutique, on Rodeo Drive, his service was so meticulous, like having a personal shopper.If I could just take that store and put it elsewhere, Id give 5 stars, for the Wonderful Service, coming from a young man, who felt he was there for more than to make a paycheck. He represented his Company very well that day.

Always stocked and clean the workers with time are great the newer ones dont do any greeting what so ever One dude listen s to his radio headphones so loud even if he did say something you couldnt hear another one will chit chat with potential girlfriends long enough to cause a line and has hello good bye and thank you finally fallen out of state .How does no greeting or customer etiquette go unnoticed by corporate. I just must be old finally but deep down I know someone in corporate still cares about the customer appreciation that was instilled in them and should be natural for all of us

Mike the man who works at the flower department was so friendly and helpful when I was shopping and getting a bouquet of flowers. He even was kind enough to assist me in helping me out with an item I wasnt able to find in the store. Once I finished he helped me out with my flowers with the most beautiful bouquet and helped me check out the other couple of items I had. Definitely recommend for all shopping needs

Its ridiculous when you have one item to pay for and cant go through the self checkout because the employees are too busy talking instead of doing their jobs. If somebody is posted by the south checkup they should be able to confirm IDs to buy one bottle of alcohol or a case of beer but theyre too busy talking to other people then helping customers

Every single time I go here there are never any baskets! No hand baskets at all or regular push baskets! When the person in front of me asked about the baskets the women who works there replied “we only put out 8 baskets because people steal them”. The person in front of me then asked about the hand baskets and the same lady who works there replied “we don’t put those out at all because they get stolen as well”. The one in front of me then said ima complain to corporate and the same lady that works there replied “go ahead, corporate is the ones that told us not to put them out”. There was literally 3 people in the store with baskets and everybody else was holding there groceries… This literally is the worst Safeway ever, I would never recommend anyone to go here! The lines to check out be all the way down the isles and there will be workers walking around doing nothing at all. 75% if the time there is only 1 check register open when there is lots of people in the store and waiting to check out! Worst Safeway EVER!

I do much of my shopping here, its NOT my favorite, it happens to be 2-3 blocks away from home. My biggest issue here really is their system, the price accuracy from app or shelf, to the register is never on point. Literally every other visit there is a discrepancy with my receipt. At least 1 or 2 items comes up a different price than advertised, that is WAY TOO OFTEN! I find myself disregarding each situation because I cant always make it to customer service before they close @ 7pm. It is a pain in the tush to deal with & frankly unfair, its bad business as far as Im concerned. False advertising usually leads to getting a suit brought against somebody for their bad business practices.

I will no longer allow my wife, grown kids, or grandparents to come to this location. Management has turned a blind eye to the thieves and homeless that are literally living in the parking lots. Final straw, today I had to step around a man who had moved all of his belongings onto the front entrance of the store and was dealing/smoking some type of substance with another......Literally 10 feet from the entrance doors. It is the responsibility of the Business to keep there property Safe and not allow this type of behavior. While inside the store another who lives there was walking around the store screaming/cursing. We will now drive to Benicia to Raleys for our groceries. Store Management FAILURE. Update: Thank you for the canned response in damage control PR. A better option would be send one of your Leadership Team to the location. Preferably armed with security. According to your store clerk Leadership is well aware of the problem.......

This location is conveniently placed right off the freeway and it has a gas station. You cant beat their prices.***Tip of the day***You get 10 cents off if you register for a just U account and pay debit or cash. Free to sign up. You have to input your phone number you signed up with before inserting your card. You rack up points by shopping at safeway and get tonuse them for even bigger savings over time. Its a win win.

Wait times seem to vary widely at the check out. Sometimes, like today, I went up to Line 2 with no one ahead of me. The checker lady was very pleasant and efficient. Of course sometimes a person can tell when a checker has been working all day, no smile, no eye contact, Did you find everything you were shopping for? is quite flat and mechanical sounding. Not really waiting for my answer. Today though, a good experience...rate it 8 of 10 points for customer service!

We have been going to this store for almost 30 years no. Its a smaller store which means its easier to get to know the staff, and vice versa, (weve known many thru many years).Currently it is managed by a husband & wife team, one or both can most always be found on the floor restocking go backs, running a register, bagging groceries, etc. They can also be found checking the aisles, greeting customers & assisting any who need it. Great people throughout the store & A+ for the employees, management, store upkeep, & so on. (Note: I have never encountered an employee who wasnt happy to assist customers.)

Safeways prices for groceries are the highest in the grocery industry for their regular priced groceries. The only time it is worth shopping for groceries is on some of their advertised goods. Their price for gasoline is the lowest price in Vallejo: however; and that is why I stopped by today was to get gas and get a few items that were on their new weekly ad.

It really stunk. I went in line with two items and while waiting in line when the Checker came up to say the next person and took about the fourth person back because it was one of her friends obviously and neglected to take any of us that were in front of her. When I complained they laughed and made fun of me. When I complained at the courtesy desk they said I had to call corporate but that they would talk to her about it. Ive never been treated so rudely in my life!

I really only go because its really close to my home. But they always seem to have long lines. There prices are to high. They do have discounts but I can get there discounts regularly at other stores. Its pretty clean, I do like there sandwiches...that take a 40 minute wait, signature soup and safeway brand ice cream.

Has some good options when searching for natural and organic products. A lot of times they have bad fruit so beware. Also, often their vegetables taste like pesticides. They have pretty good prices, but seem to be understaffed modlst of the time which creates long lines. No self check out

This Safeway has potential however, please invest in better and more updated freezers so some are not constantly on defrost or over freezing. Please do a deep clean of the produce department. The produce wall could use a major reset. Please visit the section set for dandelion greens for example where they are literally shoved up into the unsanitary part of the unit. A little house keeping and shelf rearranging might only cost some payroll. Do the misters work to help keep leafy produce fresh? Id like to see this Safeway as first choice for shopping and not a last choice for shopping.

The place is okay except they owner doesnt mind having 16 customers wait 15 min each to buy a $2 loaf of bread. Thats four manhours. At $15/hr, thats wasting $60 worth of peoples time so they dont have to have someone on register for that fifteen minutes. This is the equivalent of $2.75 to pay for that employee for fifteen minutes. To recap, instead of hiring someone for $2.75 theyd rather waste $60 of Your time... while you wait to buy overpriced, nutritionally devoid, carcinogenic food.

For me to look up on the internet and find out that your store is open, then call and have your automated system tell me your stores open until 11, then to get there between 10 p.m. and 11 and be told that you closed at 10. Third time I have gone for gas as they tend to be cheaper, but no attendant anywhere to be found to pay the cash price. Have had to pay the higher price credit card payment. Will just back track a mile and use the American Canyon gas pumps where I have never had this problem

Worst store ever, and I am not just talking about worst store in the Safeway brands. This store is AWFUL. 2 years ago, when I had gotten on food stamps and just got my card, the cashier essentially conned me out of my cash benefits and walked out with 80 extra dollars in his pocket. Its pretty messed up to steal from someone going through hard times. And when it was brought up to management, they literally did nothing.Fast forward to today. Pandemic times. My husband and our family are just getting out of the hard times and this pandemic happens. Being that I work in a skilled nursing facility and that cases in Solano County have surged, we decided to order through Safeway all our thanksgiving supplies for curbside pickup. My husband picked up the bags at the end of their curbside hours. We got 3 items that we did not even order (2 of those were popsicles that feel melted, thats gonna be fun to take back), 2 items were wrong, and 1 item was not even there. On top of those issues, AN ADDITIONAL 2 ITEMS THEY GAVE US HAD ALREADY BEEN OPENED AND USED. WHAT THE HELL?!So now we are waiting for 6 am to roll arpund to go in to the store to return the wrong items, get the correct ones, and speak to a manager which has basically defeated the whole damn purpose. Its pretty messed up to put our health at risk after botching our thanksgiving.So, if you dont mind a total disregard for customer service, terrible management, and occasionally getting conned out of some extra cash, this Safeway is for you! If you are like the rest of us, however, I would strongly suggest to going to the 2 other safeways in Vallejo.

Gas station never lets me use rewards that are clearly on my app. Went to attendant they said just fill up and te receipt to customer service inside the store and they will calculate my discount and give me the money. Why do I have to do this every time? I shop Safeway almost daily and no one can figure it out. My rewards and I want to use them. When I visit a chevron it let me use 20 cent discount. This needs fixed.

I like to call this place angry safeway because the people here end up being really angry. But they wont bother you unless you talk to them. Food usually in stock except for the donuts, they almost never have donuts. Workers are kinda odd and dont like talking to you. If you are kind of an introvert this place is great for you.

Although the Admiral Callahan store is down the street from my home and just off I-80, we much prefer the Lincoln store. Close off I-80 makes it easy to stop by after work, no gridlock parking lot, no long checkout lines, and Im quickly in and out. Its a little smaller inside and older but they always have everything we need.

I can see different Safeway stores hiring new people which does need. They need to hire more Liquor department clerks. Besides having one Liquor department manager all by themselves with no type of help. Safeway can use a assistant Liquor department manager too if the person in charge has a day off or on vacation. They should have a Liquor department clerk to help assist the whole day so theyll have enough help. Its a lot of things Safeway needs depending on different job positions when it comes to hiring.

This store was horrible. I had spinal surgery about a week before, when I requested a ride on cart I was just told no, no reason. Then I had tried a strawberry out of a basket, I was buying. Another customer lost her mind, yelling at me for stealing. An employee came up and started asking which basket I had taken the berry from, I told him, the one in my cart Im buying!He seemed confused but the customer kept up....it was BIZARRE...I felt like I was on a hidden camera show. They lock one door in the evening, but youve got a 50/50 shot at figuring out which one that is because it switches constantly. Ive lost count of how many times Ive had to walk around to the other side of the store because the door I could have sworn was the one they kept open, was locked.Update:Deli service was horrible. The associate behind the counter admittedly used old stale bread. The tomatoes and letter were old and wilted.This Safeway is the closest store to my house but, I make every effort to get my shopping done at any other store. Ive been going to Safeway for years thru most of my childrens lives but my last 2 visits they have not had formula for infants, and today at there gas station they were refilling on one side of station so everyone was using 1 side, the gas truck driver cones off his side and the leaves, I waited 25 mins for gas and he purposely made me sit longer and to make matters worse as I pulled up past cones they let people go by that had not even waited... I think Im going to get a Costco membership shop there, the customer service has gone down in last few years and this store is no longer a friendly stop n shop.

On Sat night 10.28.17, my bad experience (0 star) was with the gas station attendant but the experience with the fill station mgr. Cassandra was excellent (5 star). It was my first time using Safeway gas. The sign said if I paid cash (which I did of $12) I would pay a lower amount. The gas pump did not register the lower amount and when I went to ask for the refund of the difference, the attendant (Donovan) went back and forth with me for 10 min and never provided a refund of .40 cents. Once I reported this to Cassandra the mgr. on 11.1.17, she profusely apologized and immediately offered me the refund. Thank you Cassandra for restoring my confidence in Safeway!

I couldnt find the drink cooler, I know Safeway is supposed to have all stores set up the same so you can go into any one of them and know where to go for what you want but this one doesnt conform to the generic layout. I found that every Safeway I go to doesnt have any of the specialty citrus in the system and they try to charge me for something that is $8 more per pound than what Im buying and this one was no dofferent.

This Safeway is ok. The parking lot is kinda trashy and unkempt. Inside the store is clean and the employees are helpful. They have a great selection of craft beers and the produce selection is so much better than Raleys or the nastiness that Walmart sells. They have a limited seafood selection, but a good selection of meats. I like the deli and the bakery, they offer fresh made foods. There is also a Wells Fargo bank inside the store.

I moved to Vallejo and spent a month and a half shopping here before I gave up. The store is nice enough, and the quality is decent, but every time I went, I left the store without several things on my list - their selection is just terrible.For example, they have eight different brands of boxed spaghetti, which means they dont have shelf space for other types of pasta, and they have a dozen brands of peppermint and earl grey tea, which means theres no space for darjeeling or oolong.Over and over again I went to this grocery store, only to have to go to another grocery store on the way back home.Think of this place much more as a Walgreens or a CVS with a butcher and a deli, and less of a full-service grocer. Which is a shame, because youre paying more, but getting fewer options.
