We always get all we want here. Veggies are always fresh. There is a wide range of essentials one can get here. They make cakes, other bakery items too which are pretty good.There’s also Starbucks inside.Recommended ✅Visited and reviewed on 13.06.2023

Good service but i noticed a displaying camera popping up telling me to make to scan every items. Some I noticed while scanning my items. Not sure if everyone getting this on there display or are they picking on people . I have never seen this at other locations.. just wondering..

The one star is for the chicken pot pie. This is basically old rotisserie chicken, chopped up in big chunks, stuffed into a pie that only has a top oily crust. You will do much better with frozen pot pies, like Maries. My first time with Safeways pot pie. Disgusting.

This Safeway by far is the flagship of the two safe ways of Livermore California the employees and management are not only personal but professional and the customers that shop here are great if you ever have a question or need help they are always there to assist you and the night crew is unbelievable they make sure that everything is ready in the morning and they keep the store going this by far is the best Safeway in the district . Excellent management. The employees that work for Safeway are so helpful and have a great attitude and go over and beyond their means to assure that the customers who shop here are satisfied and will continue to shop at this store. Update: 01.03.23 Great, fresh produce. We like that its locally sourced wherever possible. Pre-cut fruit bowls are a nice convenience when making family lunches, and provide our family with a nice variety of fruits without having to buy large quantities of each fruit that would otherwise go to waste.Cant give positive feedback on the restroom, though. Soap was empty, toilet bowl was soiled, floor needed to be mopped, stainless steel hand dryer & entry door have clearly not been cleaned for some time, as numerous fingerprints, stains, condensation water marks everywhere. This may not be noticed unless if light is hitting the object indirectly, but was obvious to me that whomever ought to be cleaning the bathroom thoroughly & often didnt do so. Theres no checklist posted on the door either, which used to be standard to show employees check the facilities hourly. Graffiti on the neon ceiling fixture and nobody noticed?! How could a guest possibly change a babys diaper when its obviously broken, just hanging there - soiled, no less, and built in wipe dispenser is empty? Two words to describe my thoughts on employees washing their hands in *this* restroom, some of whom may be returning to their workstation at the deli, bakery, prep-counters... YUCK! GROSS! (See pics.)Despite everything going up in price, Safeway is still reasonably competitive. Walking by fish counter was awful. Very strong smell of fish, and we know that reflects freshness (or lack thereof in this case).Everything well-stocked this time around even on this Sunday late afternoon. Lots of sale items, with adequate inventory. This was a one stop shop for us, got in & out quickly. Adding another 2 stars, great experience.They had run out of sal bravee items in produce - berries, grapes. Cashier asked me if I found everything ok, I said I was disappointed to come in for fruit and they were sold out. Cashier said, Sorry that happens. Good selection of teas, many on sale & in stock. Good prices on cereals for the family.

I wont be shopping here anymore. I dont mind self checkout for a few items but this morning I had 56 items in my basket with lots of produce. The only choice was to do self checkout with no cashiers available. I had so many groceries that all the bags wouldnt fit on the small counter space they provide.

I shop here all the time. But, basically overpriced. For example, butter was $5.99 lb here and $2.99 lb at Target across the street. Ground beef was $5.99 lb here and $3.99 at Target across the street. Reasonably nice store. They are having trouble keeping it stocked during COVID.

Safeway itself has been ok. However the pharmacy inside needs someone to train the newer workers as everytime I use that pharmacy only 1-2 people there know whats going on. If they stepped away or at lunch your time there just got extended as noone but the main 1-2 people there can do anything on their own as of yet. Please train or correct the workers in the pharmacy that keep having issues, it makes for terrible days when one needs to use the pharmacy and all but a couple dont know whats going on. I hate leaving this review as the top 1-2 maybe 3 tops really go above and beyond carrying the whole pharmacy, and are amazing when it comes to getting help.

12292023Visited at three different times today: 0600, 1200, and around 1900.0600: Quiet, not as busy, employees restocking (pallets, hand trucks, boxes in almost every aisle).1200: Lunch hour. Pretty busy. Four registers open, incl one Express, not incl SCO. Lines moved quick. Restocking done.~1900: Fairly busy. Two registers open, not incl SCO. No Express registers open. Be patient if going at this time with so few registers open. Store might be short staffed, maybe due to holiday? Employees called for register backup and a third lane opened.Aside from early AM restocking, store is still one of the best for things needed. Staff are friendly and helpful, though the stress of being understaffed can be seen later in the day.***07062022Remodel has been complete for a while. Layout has changed a bit (i.e. aisles moved around so some items may not be where a customer is used to them being) and aisles are named after Livermore streets I think.No masks or proof of vaccination required to enter, though there are some customers and some staff who wear a mask inside.Prices are higher now, they say due to inflation but who really knows at this point. Shelves, recently, have been well stocked.***Always an easy in and out. Rare something I need is out. Store is always clean. Employees are friendly and helpful. Great thing is, this location is open 24hrs on the odd occasion I have to stop by early in the morning.

I was looking for late night emergency sore throat medication. The wife needed a specific kind. After searching high and low a kind Local 5 Union member saw me having a dilemma. Out of the blue he stopped and asked if I needed any assistance I told him what I was looking for and Ill be damned if he didnt know exactly where it was. My wife is very thankful for this Local 5 Union member that went out of his way to help a distressed Safeway Customer. It was very clean and the people seemed nice.....I only stopped in to use the DMV Kiosk and I didnt really do any shopping, but the floral arrangements were right by the door I used and loved how they put them together so I took a couple of pictures.

Bought chicken thighs at 5.99/ lb from the meat section. As I got home and was about to cook it, the soiled meat stank up my kitchen and spoiled my appetite. When I phoned the manager he asked me to bring it back to Livermore but I live 2 towns away. Why can’t I return the meat close to home.

I can’t possibly state how much I love this store. This is the closest thing to home I’ve ever felt. Chefs kiss with this one. The architecture, the food, the ambiance, and the people are all wonderful. I picked a very small shopping cart for my very small shopping trip that had a “customer in training” flag on it. I was asked how my training was going. It was going wonderfully. They have claw machines. It’s like they knew their store was to great to be limited to just food. “Why don’t we just stick a claw machine in there?” They have a Starbucks, many vegan options, and the best marinara sauce ever (I’ve had it since I was a kid and now can’t have anything else). The location is just fantastic as well. Short ride from downtown, in the middle of a strip mall, lots of parking, and right next to my house (that’s the best part). They have a bakery where a fire is always lit and pot pies. POT PIES. AND PORK BUNS. AND MOCHI. It’s too good, ITS TOO GOOD. I don’t deserve this, but I’m so glad I have it. Thank you Safeway, here’s your 5 star rating.

I live on the other side of town and will drive past the other Safeway to shop here. The wine selection is much better. The selection for other items is more extensive as well. Its always very clean and the staff are great. It can get crowded during busy times and holidays. And they have gas outside. Worth the drive across town.

Love the employees & their selection of items. We shop there regularly & are religious about filling up our gas tanks w/ the points earned everytime you shop their. I often get 60 cents to $1 off the gas price for having shopped there. Only two things I dislike is that your reward points for gas do NOT roll over to the next month & their prices run a bit higher than other supermarkets. However, they are well stocked & the store is clean. Oi took off one star because of their cost.

The one down town sucks the .a management and employees think that they are better than and their attitude sucks., But the other Safeway the one closer to Springtown is excellent in everyway! the conduct and their service is great! Not as organized or as well staffed since the pandemic, but, is still well stocked with a nice variety of quality foods. Bakery has excellent cakes, breads, etc. Service is always good. Be prepared for inconvenience if you shop the LATE hours during stocking time. I use the gas station a lot too. My favorite store in Livermore.

The people who work in this Safeway have no knowledge where there products are. Or even will try to help you out. I use to work grocery and we knew our store. And if we worked in bakery or deli we would try to help the customer. Instead I found in this Safeway people pertaining not to speak English or just wouldnt take the time to help out. I know they are on a time line. But God Dam what ever happened to help the customer. This Store looks nice but the people who work here they need to be more polite. And learn to just make a minute to help someone.In these days you see more and more people not using manner. Maybe people are just not being brought up with them. But if that the case I believe employers should enforce having manners while working.If I happened to have to go back to this Safeway I should be just as self centered as the employees that work here. Or better yet show these people it doesnt matter who you are or what you have or dont have. Manners are free! And you can have employees that either think they are better then some. But it just shows the low standard of these kind of people who work in this Safeway.

Many thanks to a young white guy named Mathew! I need to buy non-fat organic milk ( doesnt matter which brand ), he tried many times. Unfortunately, the only one with one gallon size is going to be expired on March 16 and I cant finish one gallon in 6 days. However, Mathew kept back and forth for many times and he did his best to help customers. I hope that the store manager can say thanks for me to him. Safeway is always the best place to shop groceries. However, this Safeway store is too popular and everybody came to here for shopping, it happened several times that non-fat milk, non-fat soy milk etc. sold out last half an year probably due to high demand and supply chain problem etc.

Their fill rate for online orders needs much more improvement for online pickup orders!and ACTION behind it! My last two online orders had 60% and 70% fill rates. The last pickup order, for 70% fill rate was 1/2hr late over the time I was given. When I went back in the store that evening the items were on the shelf! So whats going on you guys? Was the picker cutting corners to make up his time, or was somebody on vacation or out ill. I think it was the first one, trying to shorten his turn time. This next time Im trying a different Safeway.

We have a Safeway directly in front of our house in Dublin, BUT I go to this Safeways Pharmacy.. Micheal, Jeanine and the other staff are wonderful, kind and extremely helpful. I have so much appreciation for the staff at this Pharmacy. They have helped me out so much that I will never forget. Just try for yourself and see, I cannot find the words to show my appreciation. Mornings are great. You are almost guaranteed to get a front row parking on a weekday morning. Even ordered coffee at Starbucks inside because there was no wait. The store also looks spotless compared to the weekends and nights.

Bad experience. The card machine wouldnt take my card. Clerk had me try 5 times. Her attitude was that it was my fault, not the machine. She was rude. Supervisor moved me to another machine. No problem then. I complained about the clerks rudeness. Earlier, another clerk directed me to the wrong area for product I was seeking. Finally, in general, I dont shop Safeway because prices are higher than other stores in my area. Now I will shop there even less.

Safeway always merchandises product to allow the shoppers list to continue growing throughout their visit. Always passing up the cart, it never fails by the tine I approach the checkout line, I regret not grabbing one of the 4 wheeled conveniences. Soe reason I erroneously choose I dont need a true shoppers tool, decision Influenced by my pre-written list to keep my purchase to a minimal, I manage to get an ego to that of an octopus as I exit juggling far more treats and goodies than anticipated. The displays are so too irresistible.

I like the way the Safeway team laid out the space in this store. This is one of the biggest stores in Livermore and is well stocked with all kinds of products that are hard to find in other places.Most of the time it is hard to find a parking spot immediately next to the store, due to the high traffic of people coming into the store.

This safeway is the cleanest, nicest, fully stocked, friendly safeways Ive ever been to. Was very surprised at how organized and clean the food serving areas were. First time Ive seen a poke bowl station in a safeway. Sandwich prep was very clean and the maker took time to make our sandwiches. Definitely one of the best safeways Ive been to or seen in a very long time.

Since the takeover Safeways aisles have become an obstacle course for the customer. Too narrow, cant fit 2 carts side by side, too many extra displays cluttering up the entire store. I hate it. I would have given 1 star but the employees raised the rating. They are the best thing about the store.

You would think that with all the pressure from Costco, Walmart, Trade Joe’s and all other competitors these guys would cleanup their act and stop scamming their customers using misleading pricing tactics.Wrong signs, misplaced signs, intentional placement of the lower price sign in front of a higher price item and cashing in at the register.Overall pathetic as a company and disgusting as a way to stay profitable. I always was pleased by this Safeway even that, like other customers are saying, is always packed and the lines are moving very slow because sometimes the cashiers have long conversations with customers.Ive started to work swing shift and most of the times I reach Safeway half hour past 12.I thought that the store is open 24h but it happened to me once when they announced thru the intercom that the store will close in 15 min and me and the other customers were able to reach to the register before closing time.Tonight they just announced thru the intercom that they closed the store. I almost ran to pay for my groceries but when I reach the cash register 2 ladies that were standing close to the customer support area told me in a nonchalant way that Im too late and I cannot pay...Thank you very much, you lost me as a customer!!!I really hope that someone in charge sees this review to check out what is going on over there because I dont think this behavior is acceptable and professional.

Tis a fine store, well maintained with well stocked shelves and easy parking. The only thing I dont like is the layout. Other Safeway stores seem more intuitive as far as what items are grouped together. Like youd think theyd put the granola bars with all the other snacks but noooo its in another isle. Then youre looking for powdered juice mix in the juice section and its not there. Its somewhere else. The eggs, cheese and butter are in one isle but the milk is waaaay in the back corner around the produce. And so on. Guess its not a big deal once youre used to it. Just expect some extra wandering and meandering around looking for stuff if its your first time here.

What has happened to Safeway? The store that was once the jewel of the chain supermarkets has gone severely downhill. They dont seem to care anymore. Not only is there an unacceptable error rate in posting prices, they drag their feet when it comes time to correct it IF you should happen to catch it,In my most recent experience, I used self-check (because I wanted to make sure I saw that items were indeed priced as indicated on the shelf). Wouldnt you know that the price was posted incorrectly on several items (it was a buy 5 and get additional 25% off type of situation). I brought this to the attention of the woman who monitors self-checkout. She flagged down a bagger to go and check the pricing on the counter. After about 2-3 minutes of waiting, I finally announced that I was cancelling the transaction. I said Do you think Im lying about the price? Furthermore, if you cannot figure out in that much time, maybe you should simply give me the price that I believe it should be. (For goodness sakes, were talking a dollar here). Rather than simply apologizing and taking my word for it, the employee became argumentative.I gave up and left. I have greatly reduced my patronage of Safeway as of late because of its relatively high prices. I will reduce, even further, the future business I do with them.I heard that Safeway was seeking a merger with another chain. This type of behavior serves the lower their leverage. I wonder if any of the executives really care.

This is a wretched Safeway. They never have enough cashiers, and the ones they do have are ridiculously slow. I would also swear that they put the absolute slowest of the slow cashiers in the Express lane. Also, I hate how they have all the deli meats already cut -- If I want pre-cut deli meat I will buy the packaged Oscar Meyer bologna.. the deli meats should be cut upon order. Pharmacy staff are also particularly incompetent. They commit to a time that a prescription will be ready and more often than not, its not ready. This Safeway needs to get its act together.
