2023-09-14 09:32:19I cant recommend this place. My husband and brother and I were traveling through San Jose on vacation, stopped for about 15 minutes to grab some groceries for our AirBnB, we parked inside the parking lot across from a rather large security camera, which gives to you the false sense as a visitor of safety, since its right there. Within 15 mins of us being in and out of the store, and despite our car being locked. We were robbed. A woman in black sedan with covered license plate and tinted windows smashed our rental car windows backseat, and took my husband and brothers personal backpacks. My husband rushed to stop them, but couldnt reach them. This all happened in front of the store in-front of a security camera. The staff didnt do much of anything at all to help us out. We had to clean up the broken glass on our own, and no staff even attempted to help us out. We called the police and they didnt come for 3 hours. We still have no resolution, despite there being a security camera, but no security around the area. As it is apparently a very unsafe place for anyone. Very very disappointed with how things were dealt with us, we lost over $3,000 worth of belongings.

2024-06-05 05:59:24A specific cashier was rude, did not answer my questions, had a bad attitude and was looking at her phone and did not have the courtesy to pay attention to me when I asked about a product. Poor service gave me face for asking about an offer. I ask that they have a little more than empathy for the client, or at least answer my questions. specifically the cashier named Tifanny at register number 7 in the liquor area. Really bad attitude. SHE REALLY UPSET ME, THE WAY SHE ASNWER AND THE WAY SHE WAS TALKING TO US......

Nothing wrong with the food, but just because the store doesn’t care about the gift card fraud going on in the store — and because of the corporate contempt and disrespect to a long time customer here like myself.I bought Amazon gift cards for my mom ($150) and for my sis ($50) back in February. When they both opened the gift cards, they called me and said their cards weren’t redeemable because the middle numbers had been scratched off and weren’t readable. Later learned this has been a scam going on across the country.My gf and went back to the store with the receipt, and at first, the check out woman basically just put her hands up and said “nothing I can do, contact Amazon “. But the associate store manager (guy named James Toledo) interjected and said he would open a ticket for us. He was a nice guy, says it has happened before at the store, and said we’d be refunded in like 1-2 weeks.It’s now been 3 months, and even though I have called the gift card line many times, can never get through. Even though I’ve emailed Safeway’s gift card team, multiple times, I’ve only gotten a generic email from “Jeremy Mitchell” saying my case is being investigated and this email is not checked regularly .I’m leaving this review now because I just saw on Yelp that someone left a review saying the same thing happened to them. Meaning the store has learned nothing and has made no changes — like putting gift cards behind the counter . The fraud is still happening.Safeway makes money hand over fist, and yet they refuse to make things right for long time customers like me and like the guy on Yelp. Don’t give these crooks your money, Safeway doesn’t care enough to refund you. Buy your Amazon cards as e gift cards directly from Amazon .Safe to say my $200 is never getting refunded because of Safeway’s negligence. Then they’ll show their contempt for you by telling you you’ll be refunded as they pretend you don’t exist for months.

2024-04-07 13:53:40Here at 652 am. Store says open at 5 am. No breakfast burritos. Nothing ready in the deli. No food prepared. Still have to wash everything. Booooo. Booooo these people.

2024-02-27 03:13:06Customer service no good clerks not very helpful there a old lady by self check out they do not care... I go there because they close late thats why.. Other wise not coming... Walmart better prices... Here 4 lemons 5 dollars... Crazy

2018-06-13 20:36:18This Safeway is always well stocked. Its a bigger location than the surrounded Safeways I been to... the only down fall is the lack of cahiers, dont understand why they are always under staff. The prepared food has a large selection which I love.

2024-05-28 05:06:05This is a big, clean Safeway store with a deli and bakery. The parking lot can be busy during the week especially during lunch time. There are several restaurants located in the same shopping center.

2022-08-05 16:42:00Overall this Safeway is fine.Friendly staff.Good service.Starbucks inside the store.I have two separate gripes.- The Deli Dept seems to run out of fried chicken before 12 noon. I asked why and I was told they dont have the staff to keep up with the demand.- The water multi pack runs out early.I would suggest the night stockers only put ½ of the water supply initially and then stock the remaining ½ in the afternoon.-renaygarseeya

2024-05-14 02:39:45Only self checkout open at 7 pm on a weekday with hella long lines. I would go literally anywhere else.
