I had a late night emergency and needed a toilet plunger. The app says the Calistoga Safeway has it in stock. It’s not on the shelf. I asked the cashier if he could check if it’s in stock. He told me that it’s in stock but he doesn’t know where to find it. He tells us to have a good night. What???I asked another cashier to check in the back because we were told it’s in stock. He calls over ANOTHER employee, who is dressed like a manager in a black polo. He tells him to go look in the back. We wait 10 minutes and see the employee who is supposed to be looking in the back mopping the floor. What???We wait another 10 minutes and can’t find anyone to help us throughout the store. Who treats people like this? No attempt to make the moment right. No empathy. No consideration.If I was stubborn enough, we could’ve stood there all night and they would’ve waited us out until they closed. Absolutely ridiculous.

Good store, the sushi sales are extremely helpful. The prices are a bit up there, but the food is quality. Not the most perfect store and experiences aren’t always perfect and some food may not be in the store, but the experiences are usually good. The rewards system is also very nice.

This is a well run store. The Checkers are friendly. The shelves are well stocked. It is a classic american Super Market. We often shop here.

Its a busy store. So get there early. They have good sales on alcohol. Loving the $5 Friday sales! Their floral seasonal items are always so great!

I stopped by this location on the way home from work for Coffee creamer. I go to the express line of 12 items or less to see the lady in front of me have 40 plus items. I put my creamer on the conveyer belt and the customer rudely says to me “she’s closed, and I’m her last customer. Go to a different line.” The associate laughed and said nothing to me so I picked up my creamer and went to the line next to her. The employee proceeds to laugh again with the customer and tell her good job for “telling me off.” Another customer walks up after and she takes them. I asked for the store manager and she just shrugged her shoulders and did nothing.This store is less than a mile from my house and I do most of my shopping here. I will not be back.

Bakery has been always excellent . Christie has made my babies cakes for years but today they went above and beyond I had a cake made 30min before the end of her work day on Saturday. They whipped up a custom cake and the manger approved her overtime so “ the customer is happy “.Thank you for always being my number one bakery ...

Never been treated so rudely by a checker. Had only 4 items at check out and the clerk was downright hostile. Had my clubcard ready and went to swipe when was abruptly told not too, she would be quicker, which was fine. She then proceeded to glare and instead of thank you was told We are done here! Followed with a glare. Have no idea what deserved that treatment.

Im a petitioner, any safeway has always been the best place to collect signatures, but the other day i was there, having a good day, getting lots of signatures, when a young lady came outside, along with a guy with a chip on his shoulder, ready to put me in my place. She started telling me why I couldnt petition on private property, she was wrong, I explained the law to her about more than 1 business in a parking lot is a strip mall, and legal for me to collect signatures. She was very rude, purposely starting an argument, just to show off her athority, is what it seemed to me. Threatening that if I stay, whatever happens, happens. I couldnt believe this girl, at her age aprox 20 yrs old, with her schoolyard fight attitude, was in charge of a Safeway grocery store.Safeway on 4th st. Santa Rosa Ca.

Its a good grocery store, but it feels like their prices have gotten really high lately. Costco has the same stuff for about 60% of their price on most items. For example, they are charging 3.99 for 8 oz of sliced cheese, or you can get 32oz for about 10.99 at Costco. Pretty much across the board, they are charging more for less. But they do have very friendly staff/checkers, a great deli, fish shop, butcher, and a huge produce section with abundant organic options. Overall a decent supermarket, but you can get more for less if you are willing to leave the valley.
