I needed to buy flowers for various important women in my life and was helped by a cashier named Mario and he was fantastic. He was super helpful and friendly and overall he gave off good vibes, Mario might have given me the best cashier experience I’ve ever had. He told me it was his third week working but he seemed like a veteran and his input was very helpful for me . I could not have had a better experience thank you Mario and the whole Safeway team you guys kick butt

This is my go-to place when it comes to buying flowers. They have a huge selection of flowers and fillers and if you dont like whats out, they have others in the back room. The florists also do a great job with putting the arrangement together as well if needed. Always have and always will continue coming back here. Heres a pic of my latest arrangement. Thank you!!

My first choice neighborhood store, high points for convenience. There are usually good supplies of most routine items. Even before the supply chain issues of the pandemic they seem to have supply problems with some items I like. So on big shopping days I always have to plan to go across the street to Walmart, which I hate. I wish the Safeway gas was Top Tier gas

Manager is terrible. He had his worker deny my real ID without looking at me because I had tape on it. I haven’t been under 18 in over 10 years. I was trying to buy medicine. Ridiculous.

I like this Safeway, however there have been people soliciting near the doors and blocking traffic in the morning hours. This is NOT Sacramento County! Soliciting is AGAINST THE LAW in Roseville. Please get those people to go to somewhere else and not come back.

I ♥️this Safeway so much! The employees are knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and welcoming. The store is always clean, well stocked and open 24 hours! The parking lot is well lit and has an onsite security officer who keeps the shopping center free from dangerous folks and other assorted criminal types so you can shop any time without worry or fear. This is my local Safeway. Ive only had one issue here and thats when I was trying to order a baptism cake earlier in the year for my childs celebration. The woman at the bakery said, We dont make political cakes here. I was shocked and asked if she could repeat what she said because I thought Id misheard. She repeated herself again this time a bit sheepishly. I wasnt asking for a political cake and the fact she doesnt know the difference between politics and religion is really sad. Not everyone in the area mixes politics with religion. That seems to be an issue with some of the locals and Im a transplant much like many others here. I never had an issue ordering religious cakes in the Bay Area. So I took my business elsewhere to a Mexican bakery in Lincoln. Best decision ever! Those ladies made a great tres leches and knew when Mass would be done to have the cake ready for pickup.

Extremely disappointed in my local Safeway at Douglas/Sierra College this past Sat night around 8PM. Cruised by to pick up just one (alcoholic) item and had to utilize the ONE checkout line (as self-checkout is not available for this type of transaction). I was next in line, but the women in front of me was having difficulty with her bankcard so the checker had to keep running her card through and eventually she had to call someone on the phone.By the time the checker called for backup, however, there were probably four to six additional people behind me. When the (young male) checker arrived, instead of glancing to see if I could easily pick-up and bring my items over to the next checkout register, he escorted a women with a full cart of groceries who was maybe fourth in line?The other shoppers simply followed her to the newly opened checkout line without that old world thought to common courtesy of allowing those who have been waiting for the longest to go first....no eye contact, of course.After a few more minutes of waiting for the nagging transaction to go through...the person behind me finally packed up and drifted to the next checkout aisle. I almost yelled over to the new checker to see if I could just pay for this ONE stinking item! Id pay in cash, whatever.At that moment, I decided to not make a scene (although I felt invisible and in truth could have slammed the bottle down and no one would have noticed). I simply walked out of line, put the bottle down and walked out. My wife is right about customer service at Safeway.....Its not on par with any of the other supermarkets in the area.

MEAT IS FAKE!!! or extremely low quality! Got a ribeye and the meat was completely tasteless to 3 people that were eating it. Got it before and it tasted delicious, now it just tastes lab made like. Never buying meat here again. Trashed most of it after realizing it tasted like nothing. Minimal montreal steak seasoning and olive oil was used to prepare the steak.

Good place to shop, it’s more expensive yes, but at least you can depend on the quality of produce and meats here hands down, so you get what you pay for. They have an EXCELLENT wine section as well. So go be cheap somewhere else.What this place lacks is a customer service feel. The employees should try to get to know their customers a little more. I’ve been coming in for 2 years now and the produce people make an effort and even know my name, but the cashiers don’t really care as much. Safeway is nice, it’s clean, well-organized. They always have what I need, produce sections are consistently good, esp. for more uncommon fruits. The service is alright, though rarely note-worthy. The biggest problem is the prices. Safeway is WAY too expensive. I’ll go here for things I can’t find elsewhere but any typical grocery needs can be found nearly anywhere else for much cheaper.

The place is your typical grocery store, well stocked and the deli counter is very good too. Nothing bad to say but since they are a full service grocery store they are more expensive than other more discount places to get some of the same products. Went to Safeway for some early Thanksgiving prep. and was not able to find a particular band cheese in block. I stopped by the deli, and was greeted by Nick, who I asked about the cheese. I genuinely love Safeway they always have what I want and what I need. I always order birthday cakes from there, their cakes are good, moist, and all around one of the greatest cakes i have ever tasted. They make them however you want and even better. If you dont have the Safeway app I totally recommend it will save you lots of money and give you great deals. They have amazing staff members there, if you are looking for something they will automatically help. I am possibly going to get a job there, yes thats how much I love them. If you want a cake made ask for Leticia because she will make the most beautiful cakes you have ever see. She has been making all of my familys members birthday cake since my 14th birthday. If you ask to do something she will put all of her effort into it and make it better than you will ever think. I hope this review helped and thank you for reading it.

This is my usual supermarket for shopping. Its pretty good. Though sometimes the selection isnt what Im accustomed to. Sadly, they recently remodeled to make the place look more with the times. In doing so, they rearranged everything in the store, and I have yet to make sense of their decisions on locating their products. Also, the overhead signs that describe whats down each aisle are much smaller and harder to read, especially if youre facing into the sun. I think the remodel was a big mistake.

Well stocked, clean. Friendly staff and Manager. They actually had a plastic travel soap dish, that I was unable to find anywhere else. They also have, Asian food buffet style. Instead of grill style. Update is nothing has changed. Same place, their done with their remodel. Gas is usually less expensive than the one @ Sunrise.Safeway is still there, dropped my blueberries,self checkout probably hates me 🤣😂🤣 Still there,no gas though. Their still working on it

I have liked this store. Ester deserves 5 stars. The deli brought the score down. Went to get fried chicken breasts. They had none at 3:20 pm. Went next to the Chinese food and they have no fried rice. Whats up with ? Ester always is great at the register.

One of three stores in the area open 24 hours. When Im doing Instacart during the late, late hours, I shop at this store several times a night sometimes. They were doing a lot of remodeling throughout the night for a while there, but I havent shopped late hours in a couple weeks so Im not sure if they have finished or not. It did create a minor set back once or twice but the workers were very courteous and kept out of the way for the most part. The Safeway employees on shift during these hours are very friendly and always more than happy to help! I also noticed they had hired a good handful of people recently and I have no complaints! Ive never had a bad experience in the many times Ive been here. Day time hours are of course much busier, but I dont shop much here in the day time. 🙃

Very nice selection of everything you would want in a grocery store and more! Very clean and very well lit in all areas. Great meat selection and produce is always top notch! Only issue is pricing...They also have an indoor Starbucks here and great wine selection for a grocery store. Customer service at the gas station that they have is excellent! This review is for the Pharmacy. My family goes to this Safeway first and foremost because they are our Pharmacy. The team there is just the best. In particular, Skyler is just amazing 🤩. She must see hundreds or more people every week and yet, she can not only recognize us (with masks on) but she remembers us and grabs our meds and pulls us up in the computer all without having to ask whats your last name. Amazing!!That is why we keep going back. Frankly, its not for the groceries. I would write a completely different review for them... and not a 5 star review.

My go to store (except for when they run out of Pepsi Max)! Staff is the best, Ive been shopping there for 18 years. Deli and bakery are great. Pharmacy staff is tops, Tom is the new Pharm Mgr. Miss you Don! They give Covid and Flu vaccinations by appointment. Parking is ample but full, its a busy/well liked store (so dont forget your mask!) Produce is fresh and looking good, meat poultry and fish is always fresh and clean, frozen section is clean and well stocked. Best looking Safeway Ive been in.

This is a very beautiful store. I have patoned here occasionally since 2013 and I cannot remember a time that they didnt have what I needed when I went. I particularly enjoy the soups and other food that they make and the prices are reasonable albeit higher than less beautiful stores. I also thought that I would note that alcohol cannot be bought in self-checkout even when an associate is present.

I had to wait 20 minutes for my groceries. The gal who brought them was very nice but had her cart in the way of the car parked next to me in the pick up area and that person backed into it. Also, that individual was not even supposed to be there. She was using the pick up spot ad regular parking. If other folks had come for pickup there would have been no spots. Maybe better signage and more spoils to park for those picking up?

This store respectfully requests shoppers wear masks. I was not reprimanded by not wearing one and did make sure to stay away from people, waiting for shoppers to move on from the product I wanted to chose. It seemed there were more employees than shoppers mid day. And this store has an exceedingly good selection of multiple brands and products. Good isle width and the cheese selection is a dream. Note: dont take in your own bags, just let them do it or bag at your car.

They were out of lots of food that I was looking for. But then no different from other stores. I wanted a cake from deli area. They only had two out. 1 chocolate. And 1 white with strawberry.Rest of case was empty of cakes.They did have a few, yes few 1/2 pies.Whats wrong?? Then Bananas....Tons and stacks on top of each other a mile high, all getting smashed and bruised. Why???? And they ALL WERE OVER RIPE. No way will you sell them in that condition. My wife and I visited this store on Friday 7/23/21. Upon arrival a panhandler approached me asking for money for gas. Instantly a Safeway employee, named Champagne, intercededed and told the panhandle you cant be here. He told her he needed money for gas to get to Sacramento. Champagne instantly reacted.. you live right over there. This young lady was quick witted and I appreciated her demonstrated dedication to the customer. I will return more often to this Store, that I love anyway. I hope someone will recognize this young ladies effort.

Above and beyond service. I asked them where I could find an item and the employee walked all the way across the store to assist me. Great customer service! Not too sure if this Safeway is severely understaffed, but it shouldn’t take 15 minutes of waiting in line alone before someone decides to help you. Kids that work here seem to be inexperienced or not trained well at all because they never seem like they know what’s going on. Feel kind of bad for the kids but this is a business.

Just had the most disgusting experience,Came in to buy formula I’m out of town visiting family and had to not only wait so long for someone to open the case for me but the lady said the rudest thing “you’re not gonna steal it are you?!” I gave her this look and then she said “never mind” I was appalled. First of all this is Rocklin not some ghetto city. Second even if the poorest mom came in doesn’t mean she automatically wouldn’t pay for it and just steal it. It’s only $37 for similac. I am posting this about the pharmacy. DO NOT GET YOUR BOOSTER HERE!! The one who did mine was this blonde girl and I have never had a shot hurt more than that, it was terrible. She spread my skin instead of squeezing the muscle while the needle went in, and left it in for a good 5 seconds. Girl there was no reason for it to be in that long. Great store! A few suggestions: in the produce area - separate cilantro and Italian parsley, PLEASE! I cannot count the times I mistakenly brought home cilantro instead of parsley. And I hate cilantro.Also, could you please add more LOW SODIUM chips..any kind chips (tortilla/potatoe..) I just spent 20 minutes going up and down the chips area trying - unsuccessfully - to locate low sodium items. There were none. We are being reminded daily to reduce salt in our diet but its sheer luck to find less salty snacks on shelves. Stores excuse: they dont sell. Well maybe they dont sell because people gave up looking for them. Put them up on top shelves where we can see them and not near the floor.Thanks!

She had numerous heavy bags and no one offered to help her carry her items out.She came home and I lifted the heavy bags out.We have shopped at this Safeway many times, so she called this Safeway to explain her complaints. She was told she would have to leave a message.No one was really in charge and the checker dismissed her request.We are going to find a store with service. This occurred 12/3/16.

I recently bought filet mignon and the butcher assured me that it was tender. It was very tough and almost uneatable. I bought cherries there because I dont trust the roadside fruit stands. Upon checking when I got home about a quarter of them had mold on them. I bought hamburger there today. Looks so fresh when I got home and ready to use them the inside was completely Brown only the outside was very fresh looking. I expected better results by shopping at Safeway were everything is more expensive than at the other local grocery stores. My Safeway days are over.
