2024-06-04 05:03:05What a strange place. Its like someone took a regular Safeway and beat it senseless, moved it into a former hardware store, stocked it with ill handled goods and staffed it with zombies. Then just doubled every price and made the floor sticky.I honestly thought I was having a reaction to a spider bite and was in a semi conscious fever dream. Truly a bizarre establishment.

2024-01-16 10:31:56Very limited in inventory and expensive. The Safeway bakery is lousy with very high prices on cakes example an 8 inch small cake was almost $20. A piece of a cake is $14. Bananas were 80+ cents a pound and even though they looked nice on the outside they had a black inside. So this store needs to be replaced with a reasonably priced store and take care of their inventory. Also I bought a dozen eggs Safeway free range and the yokes were not firm so they were very old. Poor elderly people are getting ripped off from Rossmoor. My mom doesnt drive far but she loves going shopping at Safeway. She feels good being able to do a little shopping at 91 years old. Safeway knows this fact and takes advantage of it with both barrels. They have a reviewer here that usually tries to give good positive reviews but this store is gouging the elderly and I dont like it one bit... I received a response from Safeway management suggesting that my 91 year old mom join their digital coupon club. REALLY? My mom actually said when I was noting a coupon on one product Oh, thats a digital coupon meaning she has no idea how to get a digital coupon. But I am sure many elderly mistake the regular sale price reductions and get ripped off again at the register thinking they had a bargain but it was a digital coupon or better yet a coupon they would have to Scan to get a price reduction. Safeway. THIS LOCATION IS MOSTLY ELDERLY NON VIDEO PLAYING SMART PHONE PEOPLE. not digital coupon types. Your store needs to know the needs of their customers. Stop digital coupons at this location and go with sale priced items. Otherwise it is like preying on the elderly

2024-03-26 01:05:39This store is small compared to any of the new safeway stores. Definitely an old store that was spruced up on the exterior, and cleaned up in the interior. It does not include the extras like many of the newer flagship stores. I would suggest going to a larger one if you need more than the basics. Inventory of product variety is about 25% less overall. Primarily caters to the retirement community near by. They should have expanded the store. Its perfect for a quick in and out for basics

2022-11-08 03:19:26I dont normally frequent Safeway for groceries, opting for my neighborhood store instead, but was rather impressed with what I saw. Clean, well stocked and amazingly - no lines. Prices, although inflated, were very competitive and assortment of fresh produce and meats were great. I plan to go back more frequently, in the near future.

2022-11-08 16:13:44This Safeway gets a bad rap as it is not as fancy as their sister store down the road in Alamo. I cant always find the exact product Im looking for but mostly I walk out with what I need. I find it convenient, clean and the staff very nice and helpful.

2022-05-24 18:59:38I live across the street in Rossmoor but drive 5 miles to either Alamo (recently remodeled & has roomy aisles), or Lafayette, rather than face the always busy & shorthanded checkouts here. I realize they all have staffing issues, but no self checkout, and even at night when there are few people shopping, I have had to wait because only one or two checkers with several people in each line, and no express line. Very frustrating if you stop for just 1 or 2 quick items. At Diablo Market I can barely get to the card reader before the checker is finished and have never waited for more than one person ahead of me. Checking out is a priority for them, apparently not at Safeway.

2022-01-21 00:15:55Its a Safeway so the produce is decent, the store relatively clean and frankly, the thing that makes or breaks it is the people who work there. I went today to get a quick sandwich and the person at the deli was great. Friendly and fast. The check out was a bit mixed but I figured that Rita was having a busy day.
