My favorite thing about Safeway is I have never went there for something I needed and they were out of it. Employees are always friendly and helpful (especially this location). Hours of operation are convenient. Prices are a bit higher than some stores but all the pros make it worth it.

Its really nice place where you can get lots of food and drinks. Watch out for people in the parking lot. Sometimes they can be crazy in their vehicles especially if theyve been having a bad day at work or with their children. Please be sure to check out the deli where you can have a freshly made sandwich and or breakfast burrito made to your liking. Also watch out for pickpocket people. Times are tough.

Ive been debating leaving this review. I used to think highly of this Safeway location but it is going downhill fast. While most of the employees are professional, some fall way below bare minimum. A couple weeks ago, I was in the store and listened to an employee, I think her name was Cheri, I didnt get a good look at her name tag. She was very loudly embarassing another customer saying her boyfriend is annoying and she needs to keep him in check. That poor lady! She looked so embarassed! This is horrible! Why does Safeway let their employees talk like that to customers? ESPECIALLY loudly like that. If there is an issue, pull the customer aside or something and say it privately. There were customers around and we were all watching. I felt bad for that lady.This store needs to do better. And start drug testing their employees. Youd be surprised what you hear when they are high and at work. And the disgusting things they say to each other.The girl in the deli with the obnoxiously long eyelashes never seems to want to help anyone, like we are interrupting her or bothering her. She will cut meat on the same thing as cheese that was just on it. She doesnt listen to what amount or size of what you are buying. She just does her own thing.And you cant go and complain because they remember your face and you get treated with disdain when you are back in.

Ive shopped only here since they opened. The wife would only shop at Winco to save a couple bucks. Recently she has come to my side and now will only shop here with me. The nicest people and helpful employees (friends) are here, the customers are all happy and being a member prices are more than fair for the quality of the products. I see the staff every Friday-Saturday removing the older merchandise (probably selling to Winco) and theyre all very happy people. Please dont think youre saving money going elsewhere just to end up sick and disappointed. Love this store!

The deli does the bare minimum for their customers. If you ask to have thin slices they try to get away with super thick slices. I asked “please give me the absolute thinnest slices you can do”. She first gives me the super thick slice and says is that ok? I said “not even close this is literally one of the biggest slices ive ever seen”. She says “that was a 5 on the machine, lets try a 4”. It was nearly the exact same thickness. The next piece they said was the thinnest the machine could do which was a complete lie cause ive gotten much thinner there in the past, ONLY ONCE, out of like 10 times. The worker actually had the gall to say “well you can cut it in half”. While this is going on the manager started getting vocal with a completely polite customer and made a scene. So speaking to a manager was pointless because you could see where this lack of performance came from. What a complete joke that place is. Me and my wife will not be returning.

Bakery never has a good selection- in fact it has nothing every time I go in there. The front doors don’t work. I asked a bagger to help me put my groceries in my cart (I’m pregnant) and she threw them into my cart and stomped off with an attitude. The manager seems not to care. I’m just over this location. Unfortunately this location is minutes from my house. Tempted to get ahold of regional.

The sunscreen was a homerun. The water was a touchdown. The overall conversation with excellent customer service was great like a slam dunk. Half the team was beat before the first opponents offense at these types of games one of the next three games that was special here. Parking was excellent.

Very disappointed in this store. I have lived in this neighborhood for 17 years. The past three years this Safeway has plummeted in customer service. From the meet dept to lack of checker. Usually only one checker forcing customers to use the self check outs. So if you have alcohol you have to wait much longer. There is in 10 items or less. The self checkouts, half of them don’t have bags to carry your items. Walking in to the store if I’m shopping for only a few items I have to search for a hand cart.I keep giving this store a chance because it’s conveniently close but disappoints very time.I tend to go to Raleys for my meets, Riley’s has a bigger better selection of meets and service. Or the Nugget.Sorry Safeway. I have you a year to up your customer service.Bye bye.Repl;Unfortunately, after two years, make that three years of declined service. Parking lot is usually full of grocery carts. The staff has changed and moved to other companies. I have actually run into them and heard their stories. Of course, this does happen over time. But it also shows the decline in the company resulting in long-term workers saying no more and moved on. There are too many grocery stores within the geographical vicinity that actually staff their stores. Again Safeway has only one available checker. Which forces, us the customers that brings revenue to the store, to be forced to go to the self check out. Which is not clean or stocked on a regular basis with bags.There was a female employee working the self check out that was kind enough to help me because I was buying a bottle of wine.Otherwise, if I was a customer, afraid to ask, I would’ve had to wait in a very long line. A lot of times people don’t want to have to ask. But on the inside their fuming.I am explaining a lot of the details so that the company will understand what customers are actually going through. I’m not angry… But there have been way too many times. I’ve gone into the store with poor service. Hopefully for our community Safeway will get their act together. But until then.The nugget and Raleys have a bigger selection, more employees with shorter lines and it feels nice and clean when I go into those stores versus SafewayPhotos to come…..

Mostly good but have a problem with sick and coughing deli Stuff member not wearing a mask, or gloves while serving uncovered foods to the public. Even after asking them to not cough on food. Of course I didnt by it. Manager reserved me my food but didnt answer what stores staff guidelines are when I asked. Everything else in the store is great . Convenient location and friendly staff. BUT, they keep batteries in a locked case!? Really? Are we in such a high theft area I have to be forced to WAIT and inconvenience the ONE employee to give you my money?? No thanks. I just ordered them on Amazon while waiting with same day delivery for less than a dollar. By the way the hard alcohol that costs less is right next to the batteries but not locked. Good thing this place is conveniently located for me because thats about all that separates it from the other Safeway by my house that DOES NOT lock them.

I like that theyre open 24 hours. I also like their produce. I have to say their produce seems to be brighter and fresher than other Safeways in the area. IDK why that is maybe they take better care of their produce? Or perhaps its the lighting? 😃 Either way this Safeway has the prettiest produce. The store is always very clean. I usually shop there late at night - after Midnight I prefer it. Less customers! Better customer service!Now to the guy here in the reviews who lectured us about drug use. Clean store. Update: Read your receipt. Ive been overcharged at every store Ive been to. Self-checkout employee yesterday was wildly rude. Didnt want to do a refund, asked me to come back next day. Talked about me to another employee right in front of me. I tried to thank her for her eventual help. I brought it to her attention that someone had just stolen, which she then blamed me for causing, because I was distracting her.

Pleasant, Convenient, Friendly, but...I have very few bad things to say about this Safeway Supermarket. On the contrary its very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The store is rarely crowded, and the parking lot is often free of random cartsThe issue I have is with product stock. It seems that the things that I am looking to buy are quite popular and so they are often unavailable. If I knew which days were the ones on which to visit when the stocking was completed, I would be inclined to add the 5th star.Edit: 2022.12.08I visited at 4:30 AM wanted to get my shopping done early.The lights were on, but all doors were blocked (and locked). Nice store with a wide selection of brands . The in-house bakery is also good and serves tasty stuff. There is no self-checkout counter here which is a bummer. In the past this Safeway has never been my favorite. But the staff at the Peasant Grove/Roseville Parkway location has really stepped it up and are extremely cordial and helpful. The produce still is awful and I will never buy any produce there. I find this rather frustrating because the Safeway in the higher end areas like Granite Bay have much nicer produce..

Seems like a nice place. Its a Safeway and therefore a fairly familiar business. Just so happens it was late they only had one register open. Got in line behind a woman who was buying $400 worth of groceries for a family gathering. But she had over $100 worth of coupons. Was having problems reconciling everything. The staff was very helpful to her but a little slow to open another register for the line building behind her.

They have the worst customer service at this store! I waited in line to buy three waters. When I went to pay I discovered that I left my debit card in my car. I told the guy that was checking me out that I forgot it and would be right back. It only took me a minute to grab my card and go back in the store. By this time he was checking out the lady that was right behind me. I get it you have to keep the line moving. Then he looked at me and said, you can either get back in line or go to customer service. I said, I guess I will go to customer service because I already waited in that line. After waiting about 10 minutes the woman at guest service finally got there. I told her what happened and that my employees would never get away with treating a customer like that. She didnt even look at me and said, uh huh. This store needs to work on their customer relations without us you wouldnt be in business.

The fact that because of the homeless shelter that was built behind the soccer field, that is the reason Safeway took away most of the shopping carts. I also learned that the homeless come in and starl walk right out and there is nothing no one can do. So dont fuss about prices going up. We tried to stop the shelter from being but ther was no neighborhood participation. Again dont fuss about it be aware of what is going on within your community. Its really sad to see this area go down hill because of the shelter that is why we are selling and moving!

It is easy to navigate and find what your looking for. Full variety of products, often not found in other stores. An abundance of staff to answer your questions, or take you to where an item can be found. Wonderful bakery, fresh ready made foods and a sandwich board. Starbucks Coffee and a large floral department will but a smile on your face. When you need a quick vacation, go to Safeways.

All I can say is that Safeway is always top notch. From the produce section to the meat section you’re always in good hands. Bathrooms are clean and cashiers are friendly. My only complaint would be the graffiti on the bathroom wall. I’ve seen worse, but this pro-drug message isn’t good especially for young children to see. My uncle Ronnie smoked 3 marijuanas in 1984 after watching Smokey and the Bandit in 3D and nearly murdered his entire family. Say NO to drugs!

Today is my birthday (12/30) and I was trying to find a Banana Cream Pie. The Safeway near my house was completely out -frozen or fresh. Taylor answered my call and went the extra mile to find out if they had one (they had several) and she went to the bakery and got one and put it at the customer service desk for me as I was on the way. Shout out to Marshall who tried to flag down a manager for me to put a good word in (he was on a lunch break), and she gave me the info to go online to compliment Taylor. Great crew you have there! Go to Deli Counter for meat and prepare to be avoided. Twice now Ive been seen by TWO workers doing production in back and they literally ignore you. After having my wallet stolen at Home Goods, the thief took by credit card two doors down to Safeway and charged three $500. gift cards. The employee NEVER EVEN asked tp check the picture on my drivers license.(which they had stolen also) They should have fired him....the VERY large purchase should have been more carefully handled. This is a large Safeway. They have lots of items smaller stores would not. I was particularly impressed with their selection of weird health drinks (kombucha, kefir, etc.). It still doesnt compare to Whole Foods selection, but very good for a normal grocery store. They are 24 hour and nice and clean.

I just had the best cappuccino Breva from your store today! I’m afraid I didn’t get her name, but I was there today at 2:30-2:45. The last time I had a cappuccino it was bitter and had too much 1/2 & 1/2. She poured the perfect amount of foam and it was beautiful. I did thank her, but I wanted her supervisor to know. This store has terrible customer service and is super slow. We went here yesterday just to get a couple of things and there were only 4 lanes open and each had like 10 customers in line. The cashiers seemed to be moving like snails. Also my parents came here and wanted to get lunch meat in the deli. Nobody was there to help them and my dad asked the sushi guy for help, all he said was he doesnt work in the deli, didnt even say sorry Ill call someone for you. Yeah dont waste your time here. Go to savemart, Bel-air, or raleys instead. Safeway standard of customer service seems to be going down.

I used to go to Bel-air on foothills, but John the manager gives me dirty looks & snatched my money from my hands when I went to pay, made me so uncomfortable, Ive never gone back since that time. Ive been shopping at the Pleasant Grove location for over 12 years and continue to stop in weekly. I have never in those 12 years had any issue with management, any department head, cashier, or bagger. This is a great store, well managed, and friendly.

This recent experience was qwik. In & out. Just bought 1 thingx4. HOWEVER, the last visit was a bust. Went in for the same 1 thing (latte) when it was on sale but they were out of th flavor I wanted. How come I wasnt offered a rain check. Stores dont do that any more? Especially during a lockdown? Hmmmmm

Safeway is more expensive, but i still buy items here because sometimes they have what Im looking for. I mostly go here on my lunch, but there is always one person at the sandwich bar, who takes their time with each customer, even when there is a huge line. If you go around the corner to the sushi bar, or fried chicken, or anything else, no one is there. Especially around lunch time. Youd think that theyd be staffed for this time. Instead customers stand there and employees are walking around and not making you a prority.

Went in late last week for some items. When I checked out I said I am playing the Safeway Monopoly game, she said we are all out of the coupons to use to play. I said when will you get some more in, she said they did not expect any more. I shared that the game has another week and she said well the game disclosure says as long as the coupons last. Seriously, game over because you ran out of coupons. Wow

I am a driver for postmates and last night I discovered I couldnt find my p.m. card. I called this Safeway as it was the last place I knew for sure I had it, and a nice man Cody answered my call. I explained my situation and asked him if anyone turned in a lost p. m. card would he please call me. I left my # figuring my card was gone forever. The very next day he called me and told me that he had gone outside to check for my card him self and he had found it and put it aside for me. After verifying that it was indeed my card I picked it up that night. I think it was awesome he went above and beyond to actually look for my card himself and made sure it found its way back to me. I will definitely use this Safeway for my shopping needs based on the great customer service alone. thank you so much cody!!!

Terrible. The bakery didnt have a person willing to help - apparently the person in the back was from another store so couldnt help me and didnt see the need to find someone to help. Only had 3 items and lines were long so decided to not buy them. Thought the Elkhorn and Don Julio location was bad but doubt I will use this Roseville location even though I just moved into a nearby neighborhood.

Safeway in Roseville is a great place to shop. I went to pick up some medication from the pharmacy and while I was there I picked up some items for the holiday festivities. I give Safeway 5 Stars.because Safeway always has a variety of items for holidays and for regular everyday use . such as olives, hors doeuvres and specialty cheese and wine. I enjoy all of that coming from SafewayBesides its a One-Stop store you dont have to travel all over the universe to buy certain items. you can basically buy what you need in Safeway and thats why Ill give them five points.

Drove from Sacramento County to TWO Safeway stores in Roseville, following Google leads for the Burrata cheese my wife needed for a recipe.
