We used to shop here all of the time, but 2020 seemed to mark a new downward spiral for Safeway. Their food seems to be expired on the shelves more often than not.We bought a 2 for $5 package of Rana fettuccine noodles. Either bag was not expired but one bag was completely moldy and the other not so I don’t know if that was part of the deal? Not happy- family dinner was ruined since I combined the two packages in boiling water.Time before that we purchased Brussels and my husband ended-up testing positive for e-coli after taking leftovers for work the following day.Don’t bother reaching-out to us. Our problem is solved- we just refuse to shop here anymore!

I have been a loyal customer at this store in Roseville ever since I moved here(2015), mainly because the food in the deli department has always been of good quality. Their salad, in particular, is consistently fresh and delicious. However, my experience has been marred by the presence of a highly unprofessional and unfriendly lady who serves food in this department. She consistently questions the way I prefer my food to be served and refuses to fulfill my requests, even when I offer to pay extra for additional items. This has happened multiple times, and it is becoming increasingly frustrating. Unlike her, the other staff members are always willing to make adjustments to my order. Despite this issue, I used to buy food from this deli department at least twice a week due to it being my favorite. Unfortunately, today the same disappointing encounter happened again. I was so exhausted and sleep-deprived that I couldnt help but confront her. The disappointment I felt was immense. From now on, I have decided not to purchase any more food from this deli department. Even though the food is undeniably good, I will opt to go to a different location. I just hope the taste remains consistent. I would like to express my gratitude to the individuals responsible for preparing the food, as it is indeed enjoyable. However, to that lady, if you are not satisfied with your job, it would be best for you to seek employment elsewhere.

Today I had a very bad customer experience in the Safeway on sunrise boulevard in Roseville.The deli department was understaffed. Yes. Waited 6 minutes? And not? One of the 7. People behind the counter acknowledged that I was standing there.While checking out there were 5 of us in line and the cashier did not call for backup.Ive been coming into the Safeway for over a decade. And I have never had a bad experience like today.Todays experience was enough to make me reconsider shopping at this Safeway again.

This Safeway is so clean and organized, non-judgemental, the associates are kind, knowledgeable, and not once has there been a visit that someone hasnt offered help or said something kind, and they have great specials for members. Great job associates,!!! PP. S. The pharmacy is packed with caring, extremely hard working to make sure everyone gets their meds. Whether the pharmacists, Drs, Pharmacists associates, MAs, etc, they are all very devoted to being at work long hours, to make sure people stay well, feel better, get information they seek about a health matter or OTC med, they are AWESOME. God bless you all. P. S. Even the restrooms are regularly attended. 5 stars and a hooray from this devoted shopper.

I went to Safeway for the pharmacy the guy that helped me was Samuel he was very friendly and helpful he took the time to explain about my work comp. Medication process which was a big help he took the time to even call the company... So next time I need to have a prescription filled I will definitely be back...

Safeway is the one store I depend upon for my everyday needs. They have an excellent produce department, which keeps us in fresh veggies and fruit year round, and their meat department never disappoints. Their private label Signature goods are also good quality at a good price. I also love how their Fast Forward system allows me to pay for my groceries without even touching my purse.

This Safeway hires Karens that are rude to customers and that cant take accountability for disgusting behavior. If youre going to help all the people around you, but not the person in front of you, that youre supposed to be helping, then youre bad at your job. If youre miserable with your job, you should probably retire so customers dont have to deal with crochety disgusting behavior.**Update**I spoke with the customer service manager about my experience who then told me that workers are protected by unions and that customers are not the boss. Lets see when my money is spent at Trader Joes, who the boss actually is. Its not good for businesses to have no accountability for rude behavior to customers, guess why, because they spend their money where people treat them better.

A excellent grocery store to shop at. Gas prices are fairly Fair. On Friday is five for five thats a good deal. Safeway hasnt changed just improved. Still a great place to shop. They have an excellent bakery.

Its a good store with what youd expect at a Safeway. My only complaint is the sushi. Its sliced so thin that that you can barely taste it. Im guessing they probably make $1000 profit on every piece of fish. Definitely go elsewhere if you want your moneys worth.

I was at the deli counter but had left my coupon flyer in the car. I asked about the $6.99 deal for 6 pieces of chicken. The employee said they didnt know of such a deal. I assumed that I was wrong. They charged me $9.99. Back in my car, I found the flyer with the deal. It was $6.99. I even checked the date and fine print of the deal.I feel cheated by the store.

I have never felt so disrespected. Today a checker named Danielle told me to bag my own groceries. With an attitude. I asked why? She said you can help, or bag them yourself. I asked, why can’t you bag them or call someone to help. She said they are busy. I said, well I didn’t know I worked here. She then again said, rudely, bag them yourself! She turned to the lady behind me and said, I hate when people just stand there and expect me to bag all their groceries. I said, I want to speak to your manager, she shouted out the managers name, and the manager said she would talk to her. I didn’t deserve to be treated this way. The manager agreed, Danielle should have bagged my groceries and should have not been disrespectful. I am still in disbelief someone would talk to a customer this way. If I would have talked to someone as Danielle did in my job, I would have been fired! I have contacted corporate about Danielle.

The people specifically in the bakery are absolutely amazing! Always super friendly and attentive. They make such beautiful items that are always delicious. Ive ordered many cupcakes and cakes special and they have never messed up, always ask all the right questions and really help you get the perfect amount for any party. I went to get fuel for my vehicle and was having trouble operating the gas nozzle, I don’t know what was different from usual but it just didn’t seem to work properly. I went into the station and a young man named seth came out and resolved my issue almost immediately! I’m so appreciative of his service compared to the service of most gas station attendants he truly seems to care about his job. Thankful for people like seth reminding me of the older generations.

This is a very nice Safeway store. The Employees are very nice and helpful. The store layout is very easy to find what your looking for. If not any employee will show you were to find that item. The store and parking lot is always clean. The location is safe with police driving by. Once in awhile I have seen police waking around giving shoppers support.

This Safeway has really gone downhill. They often have bare shelves and cannot keep consistent employees. Twice this week I’ve had to run to the store for something basic. Once for green onions and another time for croissants. Both times there was none of the above. Produce and bakery were practically empty. Also, the amount of homeless that hangs around the entrance/exit is unfortunate. The parking lot is full of homeless trash as people living in their vehicles are parked either selling bikes or god knows what else. It’s gross and feels unsafe.

Oh my goodness what can I say about this place.I come here at least 4 times a week if not more, My husband is very outgoing and he knows most of the people there at the registers as do I.So we get to catch up and say Hi.I remember one time I went in and somebody was harassing me and I went to 1 of the people at the registers that I knew and within minutes the person was asked to leave the store and I was escorted out, Just to make sure of no retaliation.Love my Safeway.

I absolutely love this store! It is the cream of the crop, and my favorite grocery store in the Roseville area. Clean, bright, and extreemly well organized. Their top notch employees always make me feel welcome and are quick to help if I have a question or cant find what I need.I gave 4 stars, because they are quite expensive if the item isnt on sale. I cant always afford to shop here at the end of the month. But honestly, this store deserves 5 stars anyway. You wont find a store of the same caliber anywhere in the area and if I could afford too, I would never shop anywhere else.

I usually go here for the deli sandwiches even though its hit or miss. This last time was a horrible experience. The meat was rancid! Omg Ive never felt so sick to my stomach in my life. :( I suggest you goto Raleys instead. I wish I knew about Raleys,along time ago. There meat is always fresh cut, bread is always soft, they have better selection and it just tastes sooooo much better than that used leather taste you get in your mouth at Safeway. Trust me its like Night and day. Goto Raleys you wont be disappointed.

This Safeway is not good anymore. Really they are just lacking good help. They even announced they are looking for help on a commercial. I was in the store over the radio lol anyway, went in to buy a bunch of alcohol for a party only two lanes open at 4:30 on Wednesday. No express lane open at all for people in both lines with packed carts. The prices here leave a lot to be desired so if youre on a budget, I would scratch this place off your list.That said, this Safeway is far better than the one by my house. I wish the one on Folsom Blvd. could learn from this place.They have a good selection of prepared foods you can take home and heat up. Their hot and prepared food section really makes this store. The food is usually good and most of the staff are friendly and helpful.All in all, compared to most other Safeway stores, this one is the one Id choose over the others. Its cleaner, has a better selection, and I dont get grossed out thinking about eating food made here like some other stores.I come here once every week or two. While I havent used all parts of this Safeway (like the bakery) the parts I have so far have been good.

I used to love shopping at Safeway, but ever since the pandemic they have gone downhill fast. Unlike other stores, that seem to have hurdled the supply chain issues, they have not. Nine times out of ten they do not have items in stock that they advertise in their circular, their produce is either under ripe or over ripe, and shelves just bare in general. My belief is they put stuff on ad, knowing they don’t have it, with the belief that once we’re in the store we’ll buy something else (usually more expensive). Sad truth is that consumers have to be diligent about growing grocery costs and this tactic is pushing customers, like me, away.

I hadnt been to a Safeway in some time and I was pleasantly surprised at its improvements since I had been there last. a wide variety of produce and very fresh. The meat department had a lot of good options and prime cuts of meat. I look forward to shopping there in the future. Update… went in went in this morning at 10 oclock to get my covid booster shot. No waiting they had me Boosted within 5 minutes. The woman giving the shots was very good! Hardly felt a thing. 😁

Love Safeway Club Card and all the savings we get using it. 2 to 3 times a month specifically will go to use Club Card just to buy soda for the family. Buy 2 ·12 packs and get 3 ·12 packs free!! Absolutely love the deal here in our home. Have 2nd fridge in garage used specifically for sodas, extra anything. Fridge stays stocked up with all different kinds of sodas and juices and waters.

Safeway is in a convenient corner location with plenty of parking available, including disabled parking. There are a variety of businesses, restaurants and shops surrounding it. They also have their own gas station out front. The store is very well lit, clean and maintained. Its nice to see well stocked shelves. Staff are always friendly. And if you need help with anything, just ask. Theyre more than willing to help. They also have excellent sales every week. Sign up for their Safeway card for all kinds of specials.My ☆☆☆☆☆ store.

If you ever need a cake for a special event the bakery inside this Safeway is the place to go! I have ordered 2 cakes here in the last month and both of them have exceeded my expectations! The cakes themselves were moist and fluffy. I got the Photo Print cakes and they looked amazing almost like they were fake! Plus the staff here are very helpful and professional!

I always love coming in here in the evening. Everyone is super nice and helpful, especially the woman that is always on the registers. I dont know her name but she helped me out on the self checkout tonight, and she gave me a compliment on my sweater which was really sweet of her. She has a few ear piercings and she wears glasses! Safeway is my go to supermarket. I always find their store clean and organized. I especially love their customer service. They’re always nice and sincere. But my ultimate favorite thing is the $5.00 FRIDAY’s!!! It’s fun because you can get some wonderful deals. And don’t forget to sign up and become a member so you can get EXTRA savings on “just for you “ items (big time discounts”. Thank you Safeway for everything including the gas ⛽️ for my car. There’s such an awesome feeling when I add up my points and only pay $1.00 per gallon all because I do all my shopping at Safeway. I LOVE ❤️ MY SAFEWAY!!!

I had a bagger that looked like he was either new or just didn’t know what he doing because when I got to my car, I had to take all my groceries out and rebag them. He put my chips at the bottom and smushed my bread to fit. Pay attention when they bag because your groceries could be getting ruined.

This store is one of my favorite locations. It is clean and organized.However always check your receipt because there is Always something wrong that doesnt ring up right. I had to go to customer service and got a refund of the price difference. I still have to go back to the Elkhorn store to get a refund from September because they dont offer a way to do this online and they said bring your recipt back in and this can be challenging when youre disabled and dont go in the store often. I did ask if they could do it at this location but it was too old and has to go back to the original store but at least she triedThis store did not have any Barq Rootbeer either

This my neighborhood store since I moved to the area six months ago. It can be a little pricey but if you download the Safeway app and register a club card, you get huge savings, and I mean huge. Thg is last trips for Thanksgiving dinner and other items. Total was almost $300. With the savings from the card I got it down to $96 and change. Well worth it.

Dont bother using this stores delivery service. I placed an order a full day and a half ahead of time. I received 2 confirmations that my order was being processed and it would be delivered between 6-10 pm. At 9:45 I was told by customer support maybe theyre running late, you might still get it. I waited up until 11pm., no delivery. Next morning there are still pending charges on my card. Customer support tells me sorry for the inconvenience, just place a new order. Thats it? Im DONE with this service.

Safeway doing a great job going over and beyond sanitizing the carts the gentleman who was sanitizing the carts greeted me as soon as i came in the store very pleasant. Staff are ongoing cleaning and sanitizing throughout the store as i was shopping and wearing mask the shelves fully stocked. All customers were wear mask and keeping their distance. I use to shop at Raleys on douglas they have slacked on sanitizing. Thank you Safeway going over and beyond to make shopping relaxed knowing how much effort being done on cleanliness and sanitizing. But please keep in mind that many popular deals on the club cards especially the really good deals seem to strategically placed and are often hard to find.on the shelves so you cant find them. At least thats what my roommate thinks and I think this too. I dont know if I am paranoid or what but the staff seem either on floor detail or in the stock room and not able to help. I will not take this away from the overall rating as they have killer details on easy to find items such as TV Diners, breakfast items and even specials where I can have $5 off a $20 Food Purchase. but I wish staff there would know their isles better as the freezer isle window can be hard to figure out since I have disabilities and sometimes once I have my eye on something and put my eye on something else, looking back where I was looking previously shows something else for some reason .Finally the pharmacy can use some better estimates on when meds are ready rather then showing up at the store when a phone call says they are ready but they are not.

Trying to find the $2.49 # corned beef when I met a lovely Mom & Daughter (daughter works there dont know her name) they too were attempting to get help by ringing the bell no less than 4 times! But, she mentioned that the store Manager was there and he is very hands on and could help.Apparently, about that time the Manager (Peter) was walking by with a trolley cart full of items - Im guessing he over heard us (by then it was myself, mom& daughter, and another couple waiting) Then the Mom went over to meat counter because she saw he was there and asked for help. She came back really mad and said he flailed his arms as if he was disgusted he had to do his job? By that time the store Manager came back (dropped what he was doing and came back to personally assist us) WHAT A MANAGER!!! COMPANIES NEED MORE MANAGERS WHO ARE AS THE DAUGHTER/EMPLOYEE SAID CARES ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS AND THE STORE ! IT showed! He brought out a cart full of corned beef and we were very excited!!Thank you so much to the Very astoot & caring & professional Manager, and also to the Mom& Daughter duo who were so much fun and so helpful! They have the best selection of hot peppers that I have ever seen...ghost peppers, habaneros, jalapenos and more! I love super hot and spicy and because of dietary restrictions, I make my own hot sauces and relishes (and I mean SCREAMING HOT!). I find all my hot pepper needs there. I was not confident on how to use the app once I got to the register the cashier did not know either I was told to enter my phone number and if its the right phone number then everything will come off my bill. NEEDS HELP—At Starbucks today, my cup had been filled with ice to the brim on my tea. When I had gone back to see what can be done since I feel the product that was made was not made adequately, the PERSON in charge of the booth felt the need to become verbal. She hid her name tag, and continued to stay in the back corner. TRINITY, who hadnt taken the order the first time, displayed great customer service. SHE offered to remake my drink and apologized while also telling her fellow associate that the drink she had made had too much ice. Meanwhile, the other gal is continuing muttering insults, as though she was trying to humiliate me. It made me feel very uncomfortable and very unwelcomed. Large store, very well stocked especially with covid-19 right now so many stores lack cleaning supplies and lysol. This location is consistently well supplied and always great customer service

Usually not too busy after 6, get in and out okay, sometimes cirby exit gets busy, try sunrise for an easier time during high traffic. Only 4 out of 5 stars because the other Safeway on Sierra and Douglas puts this one to shame.

Whats with the fuel pumps at this location? why in the heck is there octanes opposite then from anywhere else you go? I asked the clerk inside why is 91 octane on the left side instead of the right? She responded with all gas stations have 91 octane on the left, 89 in the middle and 87 to the right. Apparently she never fuels up at other stations. Every gas station Ive ever been to besides this 1. 87 is on the left with 91 on the right. So be careful when the next time you fill up.

Newer Safeway, been there a couple years they have pretty much everything you need but the prices are kind of high. They do have a gas station which is a big plus. Traffic going in and out of this parking lot is kind of cumbersome so not one of my favorites.

I go between Rocklin and this Roseville Safeway all the time cuz the people are the friendliest and can get into some good conversations with great people. This location carries more things than other Safeways and has timelier manager specials

This is Safeway. You can get good value if you pay attention. The online and mail flyers are a must to shop here. One of the pluses is the fuel points to save at the pump on gas.

They have a wide selection of grab-n-go items. I like to fuel up my car here, as well.
