This Safeway store is one of the newly opened stores in the last few years. The store is very clean and organized. Everything was easy to find as they stocked the items where they should be. The employees are friendly, with the exception of the security guards. They look very serious and make me feel the store is unsafe! I understand the store is only a few blocks from the higher crime area. But I hope the security guards will at least look pleasant to the customers and firm to the thieves.The parking lot is busy most of the time. But parking spaces are available with a short walk.

First off, this is a nice place to come too, store is always clean, some staff are nice. I had my bad experience is the Deli. My first time coming I ordered an 8 piece mix, you get two breast, two wings, two thighs, two legs. I didn’t get it because staff don’t communicate with their team, don’t listen to customers when they explain what they need help with, my second time coming back, they forgot to fry some chicken, my third time coming they only give me 5 pieces, it’s not what I ordered, they didn’t even have any more, I asked them before I left because I had too leave the store because I was working and come back n get it, I asked them before I left was this an 8 piece mix, they said yes I called the store, they said they ran out, I can come and get my refund, when yall kno gas isn’t cheap, Safeway souled me chicken I didn’t order smh.

I must say… it was so refreshing to have such great service at the Deli today… Stephen along with the store manager Alfredo made sure that … no, bent over backwards to make sure that I had the food I really wanted for dinner !!! Thank you guys I really enjoyed it very much !!! 😋 This is a great location… I come here every chance I get !!! 😃

New Safeway at Crocker Village is an outstanding grocery store. They have wonderful departments, great selections, excellent customer service, fresh meats and produce, and all for very reasonable prices.They have Halloween displays, candy, and treats out and ready!The quality of fresh produce is exceptional!Do yourself a favor and give them a try.If you find my review helpful, please give me a thumbs up 👍, thank you!

Overall I like this location but they are often out of my staple items which is pretty frustrating. Been out of my choice of very common brand creamer and almond milks for two weeks now. When do y’all get your deliveries?

Every time I come here, I get watched, racially profiled, and followed. Im usually dressed professionally (not like that should matter), as I rarely come here, but when I do, its usually when Im just getting off work.I only stopped by because I needed to grab baby food for my baby before heading to the park.I really resent this store, and its racist management and security. You guys make me feel HORRIBLE AND SAD like Ive done something wrong for existing. Do better, racism is EVIL business.

Let me preface this by saying their hot food section has pre set meal plans advertised on the screen. Meal #5 is a fried chicken breast and wing with some slaw and mac salad.I walk up to order and I state that I would like the fried chicken breast combo meal and the employee says no. I ask why and he says, thats not a part of their normal combo meal but a different one... then obviously I am asking for that combo meal? Like even kindergarteners are more capable of critical thinking/deductive reasoning compared to this dude. 😭So I just walk away and continue my shopping and didnt even want to bother because I hate dealing with employees who look miserable. Like if you hate your job that bad then find a different one? Weird guy.

Good portion sizes, typically good friday deals. March 11th 98 cents per Progresso soups. Look for the 10 for 10 deals. Short lines, hired young cashiers that are friendly and helpful. Thanks

We just left this store on Crocker and will never return. The entire store was filled with employees who had bad attitudes and I felt like I was in their way shopping there, I finally got the items I went in for and headed to check out, Kevin greeted me all goofy and wipes his nose with his hand, I asked him to use some hand sanitizer since he just wiped his nose and he giggled and laughed as he found an empty bottle of sanitizer, he asked me to look in the next lane, there wasnt any, so he opened the bottle and shook it, getting sanitizer all over the scanner, he wiped it up with his hand and rubbed it on his hands saying there, Im sanitized I asked him if he was high because he wouldnt stop giggling and going wow man he broke my bananas off the stem and laughed do you want these or what I asked for a refund, he said he could not do that but he could get me more bananas. It took 5 minutes for us to get replacement bananas. The entire shopping experience today was like getting teeth pulled, I felt like they didnt want me to spend my money there, theres lots of choices, Ill make a better choice next time.Never again, Southland Park Safeway, you better fix the atmosphere in there, the person next in line already looked disappointed, and she hadnt even met Kevin yet, Im sure hell wipe his snot nose and act all stoned for her too.Goodbye

This new Safeway is wonderful! Double wide aisles, uber clean and really helpful people staffing the store. The prices are a bit higher on some items, but overall with everything so fresh and well laid out, its worth it.The Pharmacy is great! The pharmacist is excellent and patientThe Deli is a fun place to stop by and sample some of their salads and meats. Their $5.00 sampler box gets you 3 samples of different salads and a soft fluffy roll.Their butcher is the bomb! He cuts a mean steak! So big, two people can easily share one steak! Being still fairly new, they dont quite have items other Safeways carry. Like in the hair section, they have a limited supply of hair colors or shampoos.The parking lot is huge! Peets is open as is Panda Express, Franks sandwich shop and more. Safeway is very careful to make certain customers arent harassed or bothered by people who come from Oak Park looking for trouble.If you have not yet been to the Crocker Avenue Safeway. Grab a cup of Starbucks coffee, sample the goodies. Or buy a hot lunch and just sit and enjoy the vibes here. Love it!
