My Mother and I visited the deli for sandwiches and I have to say, Both my mother and I were VERY happy with the service that the young man,..I think his name was Isaiah,... performed. Thank you very much young man, you are a great complement to the store!!!

I had an experience at this store with an employee who I think might be an angel. She was for me on 4/5 in the early afternoon. I believe she works in the home shopping dept of this Safeway.She had shoulder length brown hair and super adorable glasses, really bubbly and funny and went WAY out of her way to help me. Im a new Step- Grandma and my toddler Grandson fell asleep in the backseat of my car on the way to the childrens museum. I was driving around aimlessly bc I didnt want to wake him. He had a rough time falling asleep on the drive and although its silly, I was feeling a bit like a failure. I hadnt had any caffeine that morning, so I found myself at this Safeway. I dont know the area very well or the starbucks that are nearby so I called to see if I could order a coffee drink and I wound up on the phone with this lovely woman. Not only did she place the order for me, she was so understanding and funny! She brought the drink out to my car for me! I dont know about you, but that doesnt happen to me often and on a day when I felt like I was drowning. I was so grateful to her. Whats more is my Grandson had woken up and I didnt even know bc he was so content. She was my good luck charm as well. We had a great time at the childrens museum. I think well make this store part of our ritual every time we go to the museum. I owe this woman a huge thank you. She changed the course of my day. Since that was my G-sons first museum visit, her positive influence likely also changed how our future trips there will be anticipated in my young Grandsons mind as well. Next time hell get a treat from Starbucks, well say hi to her if shes working, and then off to the museum. Im truly grateful. Thank you to safeway for hiring such an extraordinary person.

Was Racial profiled by one of the workers at the Starbucks here at safeway on Marlow I walked up with my 3 year old daughter only trying to get her a vanilla bean frap. The lady in frotn of me ordered a lot of stuff so once she walked away i gave the chick a few minutes before speaking.I said you guys are stull open? She wouldnt look at me and said no. I was a little confused cuz she literally just helped the lady in front of me. I walked away and realized oh shoot I need the code to the bathroom i went to walk uo when she was helping a Hispanic lady whos ordering a bunch of drinks. I was so mad she was helping everyone who wasnt white. I just asked for the bathroom code and she pointed to the white guy working the checkout and told me to ask him foe the code hella rude.All my daughter wanted was a tall vanilla bean frap. I wasnt being rude or anything but I was the only white one around and she refused me service. I used to go to this safeway all the time before my house burned down in 2017 tubs fire I lived by coffey park.Too be treated so poorly by the associates at this place makes me never wanna come back. A lot of the population over there are white so how many other people has she nDenied because were white. Never will come here again and I hope those 2 girls get fired. Shame on them!

I noticed a lot of sales prices for items I use like bread, milk, butter and eggs. Fresh baked goods were also reasonable. Fruits and veggies are available and well stocked.

Hot food counter employees are lazy AF. Avoiding service to customer, or just taking their sweet a.. time. There is no motivation for good customer service. Management needs to to observe their employee. Basically, the employees are not doing what they are getting paid to do.

Edit 3/22/24The store is looking good. They had everything I needed and the staff was nice. It is sad that because of the theft all the good stuff is locked up, and there is only one way out. People suck!!Safeway was fine, but the people shopping there are stupid! They had destroyed the restroom (things broken off the wall). They had no idea what a line is, and could not figure out self checkout.

I love writing positive reviews!Everyone is so very helpful and kind, Tracy literally makes my day better whenever Im in her lane, and theres a young guy (Im sorry I dont remember his name! 😬), hes tall, has blonde hair thats sort of shaggy. He is always so respectful and funny, and has gone out of his way to make my shopping experience even better. Ive even switched pharmacies because theyre amazing too! A good pharmacy team is SO hard to find these days but they truly care and also go out of their way to help.Shout out to the hiring team and everyone whos working hard over there! 💯🎉👏👏👏

This is my neighborhood Safeway. They always do a great job. But I will say, on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, I was dreading going and getting my last minute items. I was mad at myself for waiting u til the last minute. But I prepared myself for it to be crowded, things to be out of stock and to wait forever to checkout. I was pleasantly surprised when I got there that none of this was true. Well, it was crowded. Shocker…But otherwise, I found everything I needed and was in and out with no issue. I didn’t wait in line at all to check out.I think people usually leave reviews when something bad happens, so I wanted to write a review when something good happens. Great job Safeway team!

My go to for bakery needs. Had a cake made here. It was very pretty, but it didn’t taste as fresh as the cakes that are in the cooler. The cooler cakes are delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I dont find this to be my favorite Safeway in the area, but it is quite close to me so I frequently shop there out of convenience.Overall cleanliness is average and shelves are generally stocked well. The staff are generally friendly enough, but at times the checkout time can be long enough that I might have been better off going further out of my way.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Never left a review for anything before, but oh boy. This place. Went there to stock up on some basic groceries and was told they cant accept my e-gift card that I purchased from the Safeway website. The card is printed, in perfect quality, with the reference number to confirm the amount. The cashier says hes never heard of an e-gift card and the manager says they cant help before immediately walking away. Eventually I manage to get through to corporate office complaint whatever department after forty minutes in the parking lot. I am GUARANTEED that store policy is: if the e card wont scan, they manager will confirm the amount and reissue a physical card for ease of use. I go into the store and explain this. The manager tells me Im lying and walks away. I have never in my life been so baffled by a stores operations.Anyways, lost 200$ because Safeway is literally scamming people.AGAIN, I STRESS, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Safeway is great. Everything they have for sale is awesome. Spent a few years there as an employee. Great employees and mgmt. As a customer during covid, its hard to maintain six feet with a lot of others not maintaining the rule. So, early in the morning or evening are best for distance if thats a concern. If you havent had the spicy chix tenders from the deli, fish or tri-tip from the meat dept., the produce dept., or bakery dept., youre missing out.

I have been doing the drive up and pick up since this SIP has been in place. Shop here every week, sometimes 2x a week. The customer service is great. Brandon by far is the most helpful and kind worker there can be. He does his job exceptionally well. Will continue to shop here

My quick stop at Safeway was just that, found the perfect time to go get what I needed, and a quick stop at Starbucks for my spicy chia tea...I was out the door in less than 30 minutes, the cashier was a gentle soul so kind, and the Starbucks employee was so very patient with me...made my day so much better. All in all I had a great uncluttered experience, very smooth.

This location is usually poorly stocked and at times isnt sufficiently staffed. I can tell that the employees are all hard workers but can also sense that they arent being trained/treated fairly due to the frustrated undertones and atmosphere. Also, the storefront and parking lot are consistently messy -- Ive never seen this location power washed and have never spotted day porters cleaning/blowing the area, not sure if they have a building maintenance provider...

This location is pretty horrible. I had to wait for the deli counter to finish their private conversation before they would come and help me, and then had to wait at the Starbucks so long with, only one other person in front of me that I just ended up leaving without ordering anything. For an added bonus, The Starbucks employee was horrendously out of shape, to the point of it being kind of gross, and looked as though she hated every aspect about her life, and her job,and about you.

The store is actually quite good, with nice Produce and Deli Departments. Prices are reasonable IF you mostly use their Member Card. It used to be open 24 hours, but hours are cut back because of crappy economy. THAT is what sucks, to me. Now I have no reason to shop there anymore, cuz it used to be so convenient to go there for food and drinks after midnight, to avoid the crowds and lines. Good-bye, Safeway. Sorry to see you go.

Used to shop here all the time. Now travel across own to another Safeway. Carts are always filthy, crowded aisles and hard to get through due to product placement, never enough check stands open, thus long lines and not enough parking. Also store is always dirty upon entering. No excuse for this run down store when others across town are fine!

I live only a block away from another grocery store, but I travel a bit more to shop at this Safeway. Its been a local fixture for many years, and it has good prices and excellent customer service. The management must be excellent, because the people who work here at on the ball and devoted to their jobs, and it shows. Unlike other local competitors, it has a real bakery and real deli, where foods are made in-house. A meat counter with friendly and helpful staff, well-stocked produce, and the best prices in town on breakfast cereal. :)

Its a typical national chain grocery store. Of all the grocery stores in the area, they are the most expensive, but their selection is the best! They have a world class sandwich shop adjacent to the deli where theyll make your sandwich any way you like. They also have an entire isle dedicated to ethnic foods! They have an excellent selection of alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, liquors, and the hard stuff!

Desperately understaffed. When I got to the checkout, one lane light was on, but that station wasnt actually open. Half a dozen customers were milling around waiting for a register -- any register -- to open, and hoping to be standing by that one so they could get ahead of the other unhappy customers. (Safeway REALLY wants us to be our own cashiers.)Im philosophically opposed to self check, since it takes away jobs, so I rarely use it, but with just eggs and apples, I did not want to stand behind four full baskets of groceries. Olivers Market is so close, I should have just gone there, but I keep remembering when Safeway was my go-to grocery store, and it clouds my judgment.

First thats not what Marlow Safeway looks like! At one time before Safeway negotiated their new contract with the Union it was actually stopped at the wonderful customer service personnel but now at least much to be desired the store is nowhere near what it once was especially in their fruits and vegetable Department its sad to see that what once was a wonderful store to shop at and everyone knew each other unfortunately most of that staff seems to be gone now and the only Staff worth crediting is a young people that are on in the evening the night staff particularly one young man named Eric I dont know what his title is I dont know if hes management but if hes not he should be hes very patient and has wonderful customer service skills I applaud this young man. Eric is very meticulous about his work and he also seems to know where everything at is that on each aisle so that store he never has a problem putting something down and taking you directly to the item although I insist no just tell me where its at hes always so busy as the rest of the his crew I would give these young people five stars across the board. Every time I go theres 2 baggers for the whole place. Always have to go find someone if you need help at customer service. 2 times went to get a cooked chicken and look at the time it was cooked. One time it was under the heat lamp for 8 hours and one time 6 hours. I always look now just for laughs and its always at least 4 hours under the heat lamp. Have had to return meat several times for opening it up at home and finding it rancid. Dont get me going on spoiled milk. I only go to this place because its right next to my house. I go knowing its a 50/50 chance of having to return. I cant believe this place hasnt made someone extremely sick and neen sued into the ground. Extremely horribly managed. Would give 0 stars if possible

Today I was in line for 20 minutes and I was still 5th in line with 16 behind me. There was only one other checker and his line was at least as long as the one I was in. They have a sign that says they will gladly open another lane if there are more than 3 in line. They sure didnt live up to this. Two employees went on their break and the 2 checkers were clearly stressed by the expectations that they work this hard.

So about a month ago I found out there wasnt any stickers for WIC at this store. This is my closest Safeway to my current residence. But I spoke with the PIC and Manager there and expressed a concern for people in the are with WIC program and unable to know the producat covered because the internet doesnt work in their store enough to work the App. So please get some stickers out there. Not 2 weeks later the stickers are up and being of more help for WIC users. Thank you for listening and making the changes.

I only gave one star because there is no zero. I have used this stores bakery for years and have yet to learn my lesson. Something always happens. Ive had the decorater call me the morning of my party to tell me they couldnt make the cake that was ordered, there have been cakes that look like a five year old wrote on it, theyve even made the wrong cake! This year took the cake literally. I called the bakery with a last minute question the morning of my childrens party. I was told there was no cake order for me. (mind you I ordered two cakes not just one) I was told my compensation would be that I always have the option to order my cakes from another store! I could not believe it. I will never again use this locations bakery again.

Nice store. Nice helpful employees. Future expanshion for safeway fuel station. The lots are all nicely repaved and bright safely lit parking lots for all the businesses in the area. Many police patrol throughout this bisiness center due to a law enforcement uniform shop located east of safeway shopping center. This safeway also has self checkout available. In this large one stop store.
