Fresh and reasonably priced vegetables, meat and fish.　Prices are rising fast due to inflation.However, it seems to be kept as low as possible.You can feel the companys efforts.but Overall good Grocery store, also Friday $5 days are good.Maybe its just me, but it seems like there are fewer $5 items on Fridays.Safeway gas ⛽ is located on the same premises, so you can fill up your tank while shopping, or shop after filling up your tank.I only buy a few items, so I use self checkout.I miss the days when I used to chat with the cashiers.

For the most part, I rely on Safeway for most of my grocery needs, however I’m not buying produce here anymore. Especially avocados and blueberries. Multiple instances where I buy produce one day and a day or two later I’ve noticed they’re nearly rotten or beginning to mold. Here’s a photo of my blueberries I purchased a two days ago. Ridiculous. If this were the first time this has happened, I would totally blow it off as I have in the past on many occasions, but this was the final straw.

Nice and friendly staff. I usually come here for the flowers for my wife. Sometimes its a hit or miss with them. Some days they have a lot, others not so much. In any case, the prices are ideal and the selection is plentiful depending on when you come. They also offer services to wrap and arrange them for you if you dont know how to do it yourself. Apart from that, the store is clean and typical as every other Safeway.

Nice and friendly Pharmacy stuff. Great selection of wines. Starbucks coffee inhouse. Many electric scooters available. Plenty of parking. Safeway has Station in Parking area. Butcher, Deli and Bakery. Very large and good Ice cream isle. Western Union in service area. Self checkout available.

I shop at Safeway mainly because their produce department has a good selection of fresh fruit and veggies (although they dont know the difference between a Pasilla and a Poblano). I also appreciate membership discounts like the $5 Friday specials, as well as being able to apply store coupons through the app, and paying for my groceries with my membership at the checkout. The staff there is also always great.

Store is typically pretty clean and items are usually easy to find. Its a just a shame that there are some signs of social intolerance (from employee comments of their customers buying too much alcohol or LGBT+ pride cookies being staged in the back clearance section, hidden in early June when they first arrived on shelves instead of in cookie aisle with other Oreos).They have fresh sliced fruit and decent deli though! 👏

I have been using grocery pick up at Safeway for a few years now. Honestly, I would call myself a regular pick up customer, I know some of the employees who bring my groceries out by name. The grocery pick up has been a huge blessing for me. I stuggle with social anxiety, so being able to choose the products I need and not have to be around a whole lot of other people is fantastic.I have tried the Walmart grocery pick up and only have bad experiences... Specificlly the quality of the produce... At Safeway on 2220 Sunset Blvd I have NEVER had that problem, the produce chosen for me has always been quality produce and I greatly appreciate that.I have nothing but good things to say about grocery pick up, every employee who has brought my groceries out to my car has been friendly and professional... There are 3 employees who I usually see and honestly, the brief conversation with each of them makes me smile... Molly has always been friendly and fabulous, even on those rainy day that I show up and she loads the groceries into my vehicle. There is another regular and I wish I knew her name.... I usually see her in the mornings, I do remember she brought my groceries to me Sunday January 14th... anyway she has also always been awesome. Joey is the other employee I usually see, He brought me my groceries Friday January 19th. I really want to mention that one because I placed my order Thursday evening on my Safeway app... When I went to choose a time I noticed pick ups started at 7am which was an hour earlier than usual. So, I chose the 7am slot. I pulled into the parking lot just a little before 7. Joey brought my stuff to my vehicle and was friendly and professional (as always) I get that mornings are hard, and for Joey to be cheerful that early in the morning when its dark and cold outside was delightful.Oh, I actually do have one negative thing to say about grocery pick up.... It is so irritating when other customers decide the rules dont apply to them and park in the pick up spots.

The bathroom is always disgusting. There is feces splatter all over the toilets and stall walls that have been there for weeks. Toilet paper all over the floor.It looks like its a bathroom from a completely different building. Once you enter, you feel like youve been teleported to an abandoned town in an apocalyptic world. And of course, they only have the air hand dryer to dry off your hands so you are forced to touch the door handle when you leave after youve washed them.

The staff is great inside the store, every time Im in there and I need to find something, it seems like theres a cashier or manager there to help. I appreciate the great customer service. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the gas station cashier... This is where I usually go in the morning before work and unfortunately, theres Patrick... Seems like a nice guy but geez.. you have to repeat yourself 3 times YELLING which pump and how much just so he can hear you... Or sometimes youll walk up to the window and hes looking down doing who knows what until finally like 2 minutes later he decides to look up and see you then finishes what hes doing and then helps you... Im not the only one that needed to pump gas and get to work in the morning, there was a gentleman waiting for him when I pulled up parked, got out and walked to the window and he was still waiting for Patrick to see him because he was looking down... Someone needs to supervise him in the mornings or throughout the day to see what I am talking about because its getting worse and worse I feel like.

Located at the corner of Sunset Blvd and Park Drive.Clean Safeway store. Good looking produce. Meat looks fresh and good cuts. Average amount of foot traffic and not too busy.If you sign up for savings it will be very beneficial. The cost of food is very high right now so I recommend using the online app to help save money.Employees are nice and positive.4 stars due to the prices being so high.

Marcy the cashier was very rude and unprofessional. I asked whether I got the sale price on the chicken purchased. She said no because you need a coupon. She showed me the coupon and I asked whether I could use it. She was reluctant but scannedit, so I thought. She later refused to bag my groceries. I asked her why shewasnt bagging my groceries. She said that she was not going to bag my groceriesbecause she gave me the coupon. I reported the incident to a manager who said she would take care of the situation. Later I checked my receipt and had to go back to the manager because Marcy actually did NOT give me the coupon discount! At least the manager apologized for the situation and reimbursed me. However, I am very disappointed and upset with the customer service I received from the cashier!

Apparently you have to have an active license to buy alcohol? I had my expired one (I turned 21 a few days ago and I am waiting for my new one in the mail) and was refused at the register despite showing my old license which PROVES I am of age to buy alcohol. Will not be coming back. Was also publicly talked down to because of my license.Edit: your other Safeway agrees to disagree.

Check your receipt. Most of the checkers who have been there for a while are accurate. The new people... its just about speed, not accuracy! Shop the just 4 U coupons, you can save on gas! The deli pre-made sandwiches are hit or miss on selection.

Got charged the wrong amount for seafood salad and I questioned the amount to the clerk and they assured me it was right with the right price. Did the math and it was inaccurate.Pay attention to what your being charged.Happy to tip the extra $1.50 to my local store but just try not to tell the customer that they are wrong.

Prices have gone up everywhere but this place seems to be the most priciest. I paid 5 bucks for two apples even with a club card. The rewards are a joke I never get anything not even when Im always using their gas station and the only friendly face I ever see thats helpful is my neighbor...the rest avoid eye contact, dont tell me when my wic benefits dont work, and are not friendly. This store rarely has the appropriate wic signs on the products either.

The bathroom is disgusting. Walked in and the light came on from pitch darkness and heard someone say, Oh thank God. She said shed been stuck in the bathroom for about 15 minutes because the lights went off and she couldnt see anything. This is a serious hazard. Theres no emergency exit lighting or anything. Just pitch darkness. Im surprised someone hasnt gotten hurt and sued. That poor old lady... Will be checking the legality of this for other peoples sake and letting the fire department know since I think they are in charge of emergency exit stuff.

I went today to pick up a prescription. The pharmacy posts hours for lunch that state 1:15-2:00. I arrived at 1:06 and they were closed. I waited until AFTER 2, they finally got back. Said my script wasnt there. The girl that works the register there is rude, snippy and has terrible customer service. I spoke with the manager of the store. He was really kind as was the rest of the team. I do NOT recommend the pharmacy, but the rest of the store is wonderful!

This Safeway is always very clean, stocked shelves, nice and helpful employees. My new favorite this is the smoked salmon dip in the seafood section. Thanks Safeway.Update 03/06/23 from 5 star to 2 star. Management needs to teach customer service. Today I went to the deli area to grab some wings for lunch. I walk up the counter were a younger man was working. I asked how is day was. He just glared at me. I ask again just incase he didnt hear me. Then I get a want do you want? I asked him for 1lb of wings. He loads this bag up with 2.6lbs of wings. That is not only 1.6lbs more but 15.00 more dollars worth of wings that I didnt want. I asked him to try to get that to 1lb. Second try after putting wings back was 2.1lbs. Whatever I will buy the wings to get away from this incompetent rude person. Made my way to the self check out line. The self check out machine gives me a little trouble, no big deal whatever. The lady who helps (swipes her card) came over and acted like it was my fault. Where has customer service gone? Why cant people be pleasant? Is it too much to ask for a polite person in customer service?Management! teach your staff to smile, acknowledge customers, and be polite.

I wont rate this interaction with the young lady who worked in the floral dept. I have been going here for years for flowers with awesome service. Maybe some of the interaction was my fault too. When I approached the area, the girl was laughing and joking with co- workers. She seemed friendly at first but seemed to be a bit upset after I asked her to add a third bouquet of flowers to the arrangement. The flowers just did not look full enough to me. Instead of opening the arrangement, she parted different sections of the flowers that were already bound together and roughly shoved the roses between the other roses and baby s breath. I was getting upset but I didnt say anything. I wanted prettier paper to go with the flowers. One piece was tissue paper. The flowers looked a bit dry so I asked her to spritz the flowers. I think she wet the tissue paper on purpose. I had to come home and remove the paper to let it dry before rewrapping it to give to a neighbor for her birthday much later. After she passed the flowers to me, she wanted me to pay for them there. I responded I would pay at check out. I refused to say thank you because I would have been thanking her for rude service. I took the flowers and walked away. This person should not be working with the public. She deserves a 0. Lately, I have been spending more of my shopping money at Bel Air on Sunset. They have very friendly employees who are more than willing to be very helpful and friendly. Jessie and Sonia are amazing!! Denise who works in the floral department is amazing but she only works on Mondays now. She used to assist with my floral arrangements at the Bel Air in Elk Grove over 20 years ago. She worked with Cheryl Sage there who now has her own floral business!! Cheryl and Denise- Amazing!!!

Burnt Orange Alert!!! Do not order groceries online from this location. Absolute *&$# show. Ordered my groceries to be delivered the following day (20 hours later) and they not only failed to deliver my groceries within two hour window, but they failed to deliver half my groceries. When my groceries finally arrived two hours past their delivery window (22 hours after I put the order in), I found many items missing. Add to that fact the similarly disappointing fact it was if they purposefully picked the worst looking produce and poultry that was as close to the discard date as possible, and youve got a one star review. Maybe everyone already knows this and Im the last to learn, the hard way, but never have Safeway deliver your groceries. They do not care.Edit. Clearly they care, as they responded to this. That was nice of them. So lets change this to an Amber Alert instead of Red Alert. Wait, thats no good. How bout a Burnt Orange Alert. Not as important as red, but still worth viewing. That said, I thank for Safeway for responding. I hope they do take pass that along and get better. But I appreciate the response, and I now will change my review to 2 stars. For those who came after the updated rating, full disclosure, it was one star, and it was Titled Red Alert!! But seeing as Im not a monster, and as Safeway responded with what I would deem the appropriate response, and withe the hope and assumption they they have tried to improve, I shall now update the stars and title.So then the take away might be a more, use at own your own risk, but maybe things are great. I literally spent 20 minutes here looking for peanuts in a bag. The clerk I asked sent me to the nut isle... makes sense, right? Peanuts would be with other nuts. Nope. They are in the fresh veggie section behind a bin. I really hate when grocery stores do this stuff. Put them both places if you want to hide them in some other random spot...Went back... why? I dont know. Im a recently-diagnosed diabetic and wow, their sugar-free options are almost non existent. No cookies, no candy, no protein chips... found out Save Mart is equally proximate so I will be going there from now on. If they are like other Save Mart stores, they will have a bigger selection.

Its so easy to get around, always well-staffed, fresh produce, consistent butcher department, its the best. I dont go to Safeway a lot as it seems more expensive to me. But they sure seem to be the place to go according to Google local shopping results. Needed fresh Tatragon and Google said they had it and I even put it in my virtual shopping cart to print out a list of that plus a couple items on special. Went there and couldnt find it on the shelf. Went to empty customer service desk, then asked idle checker and bagger and asked for help and they both acted like, Well if it wasnt on the shelf then we dont have it, dummy without any inclination to actually help. I explained about Google shiopping and the online Safeway site shopping cart and asked if they could check inventory, and they were like, Oh no, you cant do THAT! Guess that is why Google said they had it? Interestingly, I stopped by SaveMart, which doesnt have as slick a website and, of course, they had it, probably st a lower cost . My overall percepton was, Wow, Safeway is not the store it used to be. They have the polish of a Nugget, the pricing above a Savemat, and the customer Service if an Arco. Wow.

Flowers are not fresh all the time. My husband likes to please me with flowers every week. But we can see fresh flowers very rare. They wither in two days often . Only everything was really bad the last two times, they withered by morning. It left a very bad feeling in my soul

This is my go-to grocery store. The staff here are very nice and get to know their regular customers. The selection is fairly good and if you shop the deals, the prices are excellent. Get the Safeway App. The only downside is that it cannot touch Nugget or Whole Foods for ready-made/deli food.

This Safeway is located conveniently near work, is clean, and has a Starbucks inside. There is a Sallys Beauty Supply, Pet Food Store, and a Petes Restaurant too. This Safeway has prepackaged veggies, a convenient meat/fish selection with prepackaged fish and meat in individual sealed packs. The wine/liquor selection is wonderful, and the bakery has a yummy selection along with a donut area.

Major props to this company and location for being the only corporation to do anything useful during this paranoia fest. I can finally buy toilet paper thanks to them limiting the doomsday Karens to 2 packs per person. Where everyone else closed down and sent meaningless emails, Safeway made it possible to actually get what I need and not run out, thank you to the management at this location

They put one way signs on the floor to direct traffic during the coronavirus. No issue with that except none of the employees follow the directions and there is no enforcement for customers. Its purely a pr, we care thing, and not useless. Shopper habits will change due to the pandemic... I like shopping and Safeway because the items/groceries~brands I like so far All Safeways carry them this story is quite a bit bigger than most others Ive been to their wine and alcohol section is almost double the size (not what I was looking for) so finding my way around was very easy I was able to walk right to the area I was looking for without any problem this Safeway was well staffed lines were a short wait because their were several checkers my visit was brief and I have no issues with shopping and or recommending this story !

I have been going to Safeway for over fifty years, both in New York and California. I always liked their meat more than anything else. But the past five years I feel they have gone down hill. There is this Italian cheese I always bought there but they dont sell it anymore in the store I go to. Like I said I have been going there for a long time but because of the higher prices and the quality not being good I dont go there to often anymore.

Generally a good store. The ultra low mark I give it is due to an e.coli infection I got from a serving of their chicken salad and was hospitalized overnight from the hideous effects. When I telephoned shortly thereafter to alert them to what occurred, they could not have been less interested. If I must shop there for some reason, I never ever buy deli products made in-house from them.

Very bad place & horrible customer service. No manager in the store working while I was there and I was told. Customer service tried to steal some of my lottery tickets. Very Rude to me when I demanded, I fought verbally telling customer service the horrible woman employee that I would not leave until she found those tickets my husband And I handed her. She told me to MOVE! Move! Now! I have other customers to help! I stood staring at this liar and cheat. I was treated rudely. Other employees stared at me coming over trying to intimidate me. I stood there over 10 minutes in front of customer service I was mad. I knew she was lying and cheating me as she shorted me over 150.00 in lottery tickets. They all teated me as a liar & cheat & terrible customer. I never gave up. No manager would come I was told store had no manager in store. I yelled more. I said give me my money! After over 15 min. later suddenly at my persistence some employee found my lottery tickets (suddenly) hidden under by register. I finally got my 160.00 That was mine. I knew she wanted me to just leave. She wanted me to give up and to steal from me and my husband lottery ticket money. I Talked to a person next day, I called, they too were cold silent & rude and sided with bad employees working in thier Rocklin Safeway Store said no wrong done. I told her to make a report of this and have a store teaching meeting to train your employres to be respectful and nice to customers! She was rude. Talked over that.My husband and I could not believe how we were treated in Rocklin Safeway that day. We Even gave an employee our phone#s, but we had to call, but to no avail. did we feel it was fixed properly by a store manager. I just ended that useless call the next day with manager Hernandez woman employee. I will be shopping at Raleys BelAir from here on out. It should not be called Safeway...No, Badway! Terrible!

This is about BETH. A multi-tasker like no other. Valm cool and collected. Safeway is great in general however with Beth on their payroll, makes this store SUPER. She soared through the checkout stand to the locked liquor cabinet and then assisting with fellow Associates needs and then back to helping us! Please know that Im so thankful for Beths assistance but also IMPRESSED!! She went above and beyond my myself and my family while shopping on 4/22/2. She deserves recognition for SURE!!!

I come from southern California so I never knew what to expect from Safeway. But to me. It is comparable to Albertsons. Great quality in products! Sure its not at cheap as walmart or winco but its still pretty affordable, theres always sales going on and you get that you pay for! So that extra dollar here and there means fresher and longer lasting produce, better quality meats, etc.

I love Safeway and typically come here in the morning and get a breakfast burrito which are DELICIOUS and cheap. Problem is when you need to go pay at Starbucks and there is one person working at Starbucks and it takes 15 minutes just to pay for my now cold breakfast burrito. Fix the issue Safeway, you have a terminal at the counter where I made the burrito.

Maybe this is a reflection of the demographic of Rocklin, CA, but the international selection of this Safeway is frustrating, to say the least. This Safeway lacks basic ingredients for very simple Asian and Mexican dishes. These are ingredients carried by the Safeway at the corner of Douglas Blvd and Sierra College Blvd in Roseville, CA. Furthermore, the layout of the store is bizarre. Items that should be displayed together are spread out in different corners of the store. There is no logic to this place.At least the produce selection is good. 🤷🏻‍♀️
