Excellent time to shop at Safeway! There was only a few people there and things were tidy and workers were nice. The lady that worked the reg at Starbucks’s was such a jerk. So I killed her with kindness and that sort of worked.

Has to be the worst Safeway. Yeah the location stinks but the employees here are terrible. Usually bad attitudes, dont want to do their jobs. One checker sits the entire time he cant bag groceries he cant get stuff from customer service. How is working that position? Another lady refuses to bag up groceries. Another refuses to help you because theyre having a bad day literally they said that. Whoever trains and manages this spot needs to be fired and replaced. Only go here if you want homeless people to harass you in the parking lot followed by the worst customer service. Trash all around. Its funny the employees attitude matches the homeless here lol

I am waiting for someone to assist me while 4 people are over in the corner talking about parking. The manager is walking around on her cell phone and finally starts helping people out. Finally, a woman who came back from her break to assist and was really helpful. All I wanted was a burrito. Shouldnt take 10 minutes.

Used to enjoy coming here but all the stuff is locked up, workers are in the way of every single aisle I go to, I waited over 5 minutes to get a box of hair dye. To top it all off, the aisles aren’t even correct on the sign. Never coming back again

Sacramentos largest Safeway, this location offers a selection that most others cannot. Its located near a lot of other shops in the R Street Market and Ice Blocks area, making it supremely convenient if youre in a rush. Many of the parking spots have been converted to employee-only, so good luck finding a spot during peak times.

I come to the deli a lot because the sandwiches are delicious but everytime I come I can’t help but notice an employee in the deli named Ashley is always so rude, hates her job and rolling her eyes with every single customer everytime I come. If she’s not happy with her job than maybe she should consider a different career choice because it’s unfortunate that she’s pushing customers away from the deli.

This is one of my favorite Safeway locations. I came in to pick up a cake and few other items to appease my occasional sweet tooth. I was in and out of the store in no time.This store is always pretty clean and well stocked. The employees are pleasant and eager to assist you with your needs.

If I could give this Safeway location ZERO stars, I would! This Safeway has declined in so many areas. Specifically the bakery! Zero stock on pastries, and desserts. It looks deserted! I went after work and lights were off, dark and no bakery staff to be found.

Oh what can I say about my absolute favorite grocery store that hasnt already been said. Yes the prices are at times hiked higher than other places but the consistent quality they continue to have is so worth every penny. I started doing online delivery orders and it has made my life so convenient. They are worth every shopping visit regardless of whether its a quick trip for essentials or a months worth of groceries. If you need it, they have it. Thanks Safeway, you guys are awesome.

Sometimes I want to work here, in the bakery, just so that there are decent donuts. Over-spinkled, too much glaze, for some reason the filled donuts are top-loaded instead of side, as they should be. On occasion, rarely, the donuts appease me.I have very few vices, and donuts are one.

Easily the best grocery store in Sac that I have been to. Not for the selection which is just fine, or the price, which is a little high, but for the vibes. The place is always alive and it just feels good to be here. No mater what hour something is happening here. I used to go multiple times a week when I lived near it and now that I dont I miss it a lot. Other grocery stores feel either hectic and stressful or empty and isolating. This is probably more to do with its location than anything else but still.

I have never been in a Safeway I didnt love. Their store needs to be put in a logical place. For example, I found Pearl Barley in the Asian foods section with beans that were from America. There are other items that are in multiple locations in the store. I wasted 30 minutes looking for the barley.In addition, there was very staff around 2 days ahead of a major holiday. Therefore, if you can not find what you are looking for, then consider Safeway a treasure hunting expedition. That is what I found.

Actually I love this place. But the cashiers who work there are acting funny. A few days ago I did purchased 2 bundles of the organic spinach ($2.99 each) 1 bundle of the kale ($2.99 a bundle) the cashier told me it’s $20.00!What? She probably thought that I’m stupid enough to pay whatever she says!I asked her: Are you sure it’s $20 this 3 bundles of vegetables? She said, yes because it’s organic! Wow how incredible that is!!! Soon she recalculated and it’s $8.97! This isn’t my first experience since they lifted up the sign that if the item was over charged the store will pay to the customer $5.00! I hate to write this kind of review but I also hate this kind of things happening to anyone! We got to be little more honest so we can be free from those bad feelings!

Update: how is forcing us to go through one door going to stop the spread of covid? If anything, it will make things worse. And you still havent taken the time to restock the sanitary wipes, thus you are making the spread WORSE. 5.99 for basic sandwich. Should be 4.99. The parking lot is always full and difficult to find a spot. And PS, not everyone likes onions on their sandwich.

Significantly stepped up security inside to maximize loss prevention and some might say its overkill and makes it harder for regular folks but anything that keeps that store clean and safe Im all for. Now that the shopping experience inside is changed so dramatically for the better. The next steps they need to focus on is making the outside a better and safer place as well. Because the interior is locked down tighter than Fort Knox the outside perimeters tend to get dirtier but overall good job for the measures taken!

This Safeway is my go-to for food, as well as various household cleaning, cosmetic, and pharmacy items.Anyone who knows Midtown Sacramento knows some of the daily challenges here logistically. I feel that this Safeway handles the challenges quite well, while still making a good shopping experience for customers.I think very highly of the staff - Extremely courteous, respectful, and friendly team. Again, they have a lot to manage, and they do it consistently well.Any issues that I have had over my six years of experience with this as my primary store I attribute to the corporate side of things. For instance, I feel for the pharmacy personnel as they always seem stretched and under-staffed.Anyway - I recommend this Safeway. I feel that they deserve support and patronage for the services that they provide.

Inside of store is really clean and product placement is well organized. Signage to direct people towards the exit after paying would be helpful. There is only one exit from the registers which is annoying. Parking lot design leaves a lot to be desired as exiting has tight turns or weird intersections on the ice house side. Indigent population in the parking lot can act unpredictably so drive cautiously.

Overpriced without app or mail coupons. It’s sketchy at times inside and out. No carts since they get stolen. I think the staff is exhausted and possibly frustrated with how much they deal with- I will do self checkout to avoid cashiers. Theft is so often self checkout attendant are suspicious of everyone and it can be a bit offensive. I wish they had more tact but then I might have to pay them personally for that.

I went in there to get a cup of coffee with my wife and kids. The place felt like a prison, not a grocery store, as Im walking in. Walking to the starbucks inside the store, the security guard keeps telling me I cant go that way I He thought I was gonna walk out or something in that direction anyway. I go get my coffee and try to exit get out of the store you cant. The security guard starts yelling again like a crazy madman that he is on a power trip .You have to go to the self check out to be able to walk outside the store and talk about feeling trapped like youre in jail or something. Now I understand theres a lot of shop lifting and homeless, but I will not go inside that store ever again. The security guard was on a power trip very rude

Just went to Safeway. The cashier put my receipt flat on the conveyor belt and fired it up. I tried to get it but it slipped away under the crack. When I got home I realized I was missing a $1.50 delectables cat food pouch and of course I have no way to prove it now. Normally not a big deal but I am currently on unemployment. The other day, I was doing some shopping. Somehow I lost my wallet. I gave the staff my name and phone number.I believe it was Natasha who later found it. Thank you. Unfortunately, the cash was missing.The next day Natasha recognize me while I was checking out and she told me that they later found my cash. Wow! I like the fact that I can go there and pay my registration for my car. The staff is friendly and helpful from my experience. The store is usually stocked well and clean. The only take away for me sometimes youll see a couple of shady characters in the vicinity. Full disclosure: I never made it into the store. The parking here is so bad, that I eventually left and drove to another Safeway to do my shopping. The parking here is very tight and crowded. There were some open spots, but they all had signs saying must be a customer of a particular store (not Safeway). The spots are all very small and difficult if you drive a large vehicle. Cars were lined up in different places waiting for a spot to open up.

This safeway is just one step up from the one on Alhambra Blvd. It is well stocked but has little in the way of fresh organic produce or other organic products. Most items on the shelves and in the bakery contain ingredients that I cant pronounce. The check out can be a bit slow. The hot food consists of Soups and Chinese take out or made to order none of which are organic. There is ample parking but the lot is typically crowded with cars roaming since there are other businesses nearby.

Hate complaining... Unless my complaints could save someone elses time, safety, money & nerves. I live downtown, and Im an avid cyclist. Safeway on 19th Street has gone from acceptable to a very dangerous liability. After having 4 bicycles stolen from our front (triple locked, including a top notch U-lock, removing the tires, and shopping quickly) I now shop WITH my bike. My trips are much more lengthy- having to navigate the aisles, checkout, etc. w/ my bike. I shop later in the evening due to my work schedule, which the night-time inventory specialists openly air disgust of my presence and impeding on their territory/space. In the last 4 shopping trips, my receipts totalled $202-. I was overcharged $97-. My actual purchases were doubled... Took 2 weeks to hash it out with employees at the customer service desk to be successfully refunded. And I REALLY had to put up an argument/present evidence and was even asked to add up my overcharged on each item because they didnt have time to do all the calculations. Ive been followed around the store by some very unsavory characters on 2 occasions, smirking and licking their lips~security was no help. Rarely do I make a shopping trip without some sort of scuffle, detainment, or loud verbal argument between shop-lifters and security. People have often complained about the elevated prices... Major under statement!!! And unfortunately the least of my concerns. I have few alternatives as weve lost 4 and counting major shopping options downtown.

The store itself despite ridiculously high prices is good overall. However I do not recommend the pharmacy in this location! Inattentive and rude staff from the Pharmacist on down in general. While I got my medications it was often after dealing with attitude and lazy service on the part of one particular Pharmacist and a couple of the techs. Ultimately I switched to a different pharmacy which has better staff and service behaviors. Critical medications were a major issue with Safeway and from time to time still are with respect to my Partner and his medical issues. He will be switching soon hopefully as well!

If you like extreme local flair, this is your place. The booze is all locked up, the carts are not allowed outside anymore, and just about every time I visit there is someone (either inside or outside) having an episode of some sort...where I quickly walk in the other direction. Also, the deli counter shuts down super early, Ive stopped on the way home from work around 6 or so to pick up something for dinner, and they will already have shut down. The staff, however, is great, and I have no issues with the products they do sell.

This is one of two Safeway locations in the grid of Sacramento. This particular location in the heart of Midtown Sacramento is situated on the corner of 19th and S Sts and has been one of the busiest supermarkets in the entire area. Basically this particular location is best traveled by foot, bike, scooter, or light rail simply because the parking lot is one of the most cramped youll find anywhere (next to Trader Joes in East Sacramento). I do remember when this store made its grand opening dating back to 2004/05 when I lived relatively close to this area.One thing that sets it apart from the rest is their mascot, Spirit, a 11-foot tall, 2,500 lb. chrome stallion horse that stands proud directly at the main entrance. Other than that, you can find all types of people that frequent this location. Everything from hipsters, homeless, state workers, yuppies, and poor folks, yes this Safeway has it all. Since I dont live close to this area, I usually only find myself when I am in the area and need a caffeine pick-me-up (with a Starbucks inside) or a tasty sandwich at their deli.Overall, this is a relatively clean store despite the heavy amount of foot traffic that comes in. They have a produce section that is well stocked but some items look as if theyre a hit or miss. So make sure you read the expiration dates; especially on perishable items like milk, meat, fish, and poultry. I do like how all Safeway stores utilize their Just For U coupons that can be generated through their app which can give you some very impressive savings; especially since inflation is driving up the cost of food like crazy.All in all, this is just an okay Safeway store. On many of my times shopping here, customer service can be hit or miss and sometimes there is only one employee working at Starbucks as well as limited staff at the deli. If youre here for just a few items, then I recommend it. But for me, it is just average at-best. My rating, three stars.

Late night shopping trips, have a sweet tooth? This is the place love this store the management is off the hook great! The security was increased, yes. And the flashing light with the medicine voice that threatens perfectly nice patrons that hes caught you on camera when youre taking too long to load your groceries can be a bit off putting but it seems it is the sign of the times. and Safeway at 19th Street is doing everything to make its patrons secure. I go grocery shopping at 1:00 in the morning when I get off work and I am 100% as safe as I am when Im there at 1:00 in the afternoon.Management of Safeway, shes amazing. Only because I see her working so hard.Shame on me for not knowing her, but I believe she is the front end manager. I may not know her name but I see her constantly shes always stocking shelves and ready and willing to help the cashiers also make it the reason why I go back to the store on 19th Street and drive out of my way to go. Imagine being a major corporation in an area with so many homeless people that your shopping carts constantly get stolen and your only excuse is the crime and not thinking you have the power to do anything about the local conditions that encourage it.Safeway, it is your fault when people steal from you, I have no sympathy for the fact that you cant figure out a shopping cart solution. You guys had carts for a few months. Now the entrance is all crowded again and carts are sparse. You have a useless cart corral. you have employees with obvious mixed standards running around with their heads spinning and noone taking accountability for something as simple as a cart corral. This store has been my go to store for the past three years. I like their Deli and always has good smelling food, so dont go hungry there. Typically they are stocked up but their meat department is not up to bar. Most other stores have more and better selection of meat. Staff overall are helpful and friendly. I was surprised midday today with a store manager screaming at a customer and it is a turn off specially if you have kids with you. Definitely this manager does not belong to Safeway or any store for that. The store deserves 4 or 4.5 starts if not for this incident.

This Starbucks inside of Safeway needs to reevaluate their employees integrity. I went looking for a newer cup that recently came out, there were two ladies working. The younger lady politely helped me but walked away once the older one started talking. The older woman told me they sold out of the cups within 5 minutes, which is understandable, but then she pulled me aside and told me if I really wanted a cup (retails for $24.95) that she had 10 at home and was willing to sell me one for $60 cash. What a joke. I get that people over buy so they can resell, but employees trying to sell on the side while at work did it for me. Absolutely ridiculous.

I shop here a lot because it is close to home. I love the service I get here and all front end management are always incredibly helpful. They have walked back and packaged bakery items out of the case for me, helped with coinstar and their service areas like flowers, deli, bakery, seafood and costumer service upfront are always well staffed, clean and stocked. Their selection of organic produce is wonderful as well.

This store location is convenient and centrally located making it probably the most go-to supermarket location in Midtown. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is close to many other amenities. Unfortunately the place is frequently understaffed and its not unusual for them to only have 1-2 registers open when the store is packed. Ive had to wait as long as 15 minutes to get through. The parking lot can get pretty crowded and a lot of people like to loiter outside the store. Its not bad, especially if youre in Midtown but if you are driving to or from work outside of midtown, its probably best to just stop at a supermarket elsewhere.

For how much traffic this Safeway gets its really does stay pretty clean and stocked. The parking lot is small and Ive made a couple laps in the past but on this Sat morning I had every spot open and no line to checkout. Great time to hit this Safeway because I know later in the day it can get crazy.update, went at midnight. Had a pleasant time shopping and found staff to be quite helpful!!

I watched staff this afternoon berate a elderly woman who was literally using an oxygen tank for being unable to walk from the register to her car. Why have motorized carts if the handicap are not allowed to use it? I have no idea what management has told the employees about these motorized carts but treating customers that way is completely unacceptable. If you are remotely alternative looking prepare to be profiled hard....Ive spent hundreds of dollars at this store over the years, and I popped in to get a sandwich the other day and wasnt allowed to take it out of the deli department when I saw several other people pet items from that area in their carts with no such harassment. This Safeway is pretty big but the parking lot is pretty small. Parking can be an issue on weekends in the middle of the day. The selection is good and I rarely have an issue with items being out of stock. Every so often a security guard has to escort someone out of the store but for the most part I feel safe. I love Safeway but was very disappointed today. Made appointment today for high dose Flu Vaccine and after completing all the forms and waiting was informed they were out of stock. I learned the pharmacy only knows appointment has been scheduled and not for regular or high dose. Unfortunately for me a total waste of time. This Safeway has definitely come a long way. It used to be the place to go for local shoplifters to grab whatever they could fit in their arms/backpack/basket and run out the door before security could catch on to what they were doing, but as lately theyve implemented some security features to try and curb all of the theft. Open late (used to be 24 hours, but now I believe they close at 2 am). They are well stocked, friendly staff, and follow mask protocols. I mainly use them for the pharmacy, which has very helpful staff members and usually fill prescriptions extremely quickly. Best time for picking up prescriptions is early morning or in the evenings, since they usually only have 2 people working at a time, meaning each patient takes around 5 minutes on average.I had to deduct a star because the parking lot situation is a pain to deal with. Not enough spaces and a really poor design for entering and exiting, as well as limited street parking.All in all, a pretty good store and central to a large area of midtown, so you can expect it to be busy.

The theft is out of control, whole sections of shelves are EMPTY, product, I frequently find expired expiration dates on product, homeless sprawled right outside the front doors, no carts, and a bunch of security just standing around not doing anything. That s location is always extremely clean. All the groceries are stocked in places that actually make sense and makes finding what you need easy. This location also had a Starbucks inside it. If you want to get a cold sandwich from the deli you can pay with food stamps. You can also pay with food stamps at the Starbucks here! Always understaffed and today was no exception. We had to search for quite awhile for a cart and finally had to wait for shoppers to checkout to snag one, a waste of almost 10 minutes. After gathering most of our groceries, we turned around and someone had taken OUR cart. We were left to only repeat our shopping and carry everything. Finally after leaving, we were almost hit in the parking lot by a driver going into on coming lane. Parking situation is pretty horrifying when it is busy, but the staff are usually pretty friendly on a daily basis. This leaves you with the ability to purchase only what you can physically carry through the store. If you didnt bring your own bags, I dont think shopping would go very well. I realize that this is not entirely Safeways fault, anyone with eyes can see that vagrants have hundreds of stolen shopping carts(and probably, by extension, a fair amount of stolen alcohol) throughout Midtown, and they have to be coming from somewhere. No business is just happily donating their shopping carts to this cause. For that reason Im not lowering my overall rating of the store, but feel it worth noting.

The parking situation leaves a lot to be desired, show up at the wrong time and you will spend a good while circling the parking lot/area.Multiple times Ive had to wait quite a while for assistance at the deli counter even when I was the only one in line/area.The store is well lit and clean and has a good selection of produce and most other things you would be heading to safeway for.Update July 2022: A couple months back they changed out grocery carts for ones that are designed to stay in the store. I suspect this was to combat theft at the cost of convenience to customers being able to take the cart to their cars. Also carts have become hard to come by, as they can be taken out of the store rather easily and then stolen as they no longer have the electronic wheel locks. On my last visit 3 people asked to follow me to my car so they could have the cart when I was done. This safeway has a pretty good selection, much larger than the Midtown Target and Grocery Outley, albeit more expensive for its benefits.For bike commuters: They do have bicycle racks, but only 4 spots. There are a TON more bike rack spots across 19th street East of safeway but they are not in a safe spot compared to the ones in front of Safeway. Though, they allowed me to bring in my bike during the night, but your mileage may vary.The biggest issue is the sketchy location. The area itself is beautiful as its a Mixed used development and very walkable for nearby resident, but for some reason it attracts sketchy people. There are multiple security guards during the night though in the entrance to help with that. Safeway cant really do much with its sketchy location, so this is the best they could do.

This Safeway used to be the good Safeway, but its recently started to be almost as bad as the Alhambra location. There are never enough cashiers, so the lines take forever. Although this Safeway location has a very wide selection of products compared to some of the other local Safeways, this store only gets three stars because it is tragically misorganized and the setup is extremely inconvenient. Being a Shipt Shopper, I am timed and trying to find my way around this store was very stressful, they have many items split up across the store literally the Dairy is so spread out across the store that there is literally three different areas all on opposite sides of the store and this is a large store. It just really seems that when whoever was in charge of setting up the details of the store it seems as if they really did not have the shoppers in mind or convenience in mind at all not sure if maybe that just happened over time that things got a little mixed up in in disarray but it definitely needs an overhaul drastically, so Safeway if youre looking for anybody to help out with the rearranging your store let me know. :-) but other than the disarray of the organization the employees were wonderful very helpful and very patients and kind to a new Shipt Shopper.

I like that there open all night and the Employes are very. Very professional at. Everything they are there to do they all work with the public well they. Didnt have to park as arrived on light rail at 16th st. Station. Safeway appears recent and very clean, modern, and upscale. Enjoyed the store and the rather large selection as well. Parking appeared not crowded just after the noon hour and Staff was extremely efficient. Highly recommend this location.

Im giving this a 3 stars simply because finding parking can nearly be impossible most times of the day. You have to basically wait and follow behind someone who is walking to their car. Deli is good though. Large selection of pre-made and to go meals. Prices are high though.

Literally the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. You think the way Safeway over charges for everything you would get good customer service, but that is not the case. When I asked for help I was lied to. I asked someone else again and I was once again lied to. Finally when I got someone to help me they laughed at me, let me repeat that.. they laughed at me as if it was funny The customer service was so bad that not only did it turn me off this particular Safeway but all Safeways in general. My favorite Safeway! It has so many fresh, organic options and, with the Safeway app, there’s always coupons and sales going on. $5 Friday’s are great as well. There is a Starbucks inside as well as the Deli with fresh food and sandwiches.Only downside is the parking - people will be super aggressive to get a spot, ha!

Great experience. I walked to the checkout line and told the checker I wasnt able to find a product I wanted to try. He listened to my description, then excused himself and went to find it. He returned about a minute later with two versions of the product which I was happy to purchase. Very impressed. This was the 16th Street Safeway.

Depending on the time you go will depend on whether you get short or long lines. They have a really good meat dept, a really good produce dept, bakery and alcohol dept. Theres a Starbucks and a deli. The prices are a little more but you get better quality.

When I was working here over at this Safeway, they are very harsh on their employees, all way down to their appearance and their mustache and other facial hair. Most of management likes to play with their workers, especially the new folks. If you going to tell somebody to look for a phone in a garbage can, then might as well label them as a homeless employee. Just giving an honest review after 13 years. Yes, I am that petty.

This store has some of the best customer service Ive ever had the pleasure to experience at a big chain store like this. The food is generally of good quality and theres enough deals to meet any students budget.My big complaint though (And this is not the stores fault) are the armies of panhandlers, bums, losers, donation solicitors and other parasites that congregate around the entrances and around the parking lot especially late at night. Like living in the bay area all over again.

I was in Safeway ilon February 3rd. I was extremely impressed with the service. First, with a tall young man in the meat department. He explained to me how the Just for U program worked and explained the sales to me, he said I needed to download the app. He wanted and made sure I understood. Loved that! Then a cashier, Mariana was amazing she help me to get the most out of my money by very patiently helping with Just for U at the check out. Both employees were very kind, professional and patient. They really renewed my faith in Safeway after the bad experience I had at the store on Sutterville Rd. Kudos to these two for outstanding service 👏 🙌 👌

Pleasant experience shopping at this location. Store is clean and has a self-service DMV kiosk. It takes about 5 minutes to pay for registration and then you receive your new tags that have your license plate number on these so they are less likely to be stolen.

Didnt appreciate this store until it was out of my daily commute. The size, convenience, and product variety cannot be matched! The store is huge and the produce department follows suit. There is a really large selection of organic produce and a whole aisle dedicated to healthier, non-gmo products. Greatly appreciated! There are always tons and tons of people shopping here but there are four self check out stands and unless its late at night you wont be disappointed about the number of in-person cashiers. I will be changing my commute to make it back to this store as its one-stop shop instead of the two-three Ive been having to make. Appreciate it while you can. =/

When stores do not educate and enforce where their employees are to park I think that is the worst form of customer service. This is an employee vehicle parked in the second closest parking space to the front door. I observed her sitting in her car smoking her cigarette, got out, put her apron on and went into work. The sign directly in front of her vehicle says customer parking only, 1 hour, enforced 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If she could not remember on her own, that big orange sign in front of her should have been a good enough reminder.

Its a grocery store. This place is ridiculous, in 6 months Ive had 5 bikes stolen. the security guards wont let you lock the bikes up in front of the store or take them in the store and the security guards, especially the gentleman who is extremely obese and short and black and works for Monument, sorry I dont know his name, is extremely harassing. They announced late at night that there is a shift change and to check out as quickly as possible or there will be a 20 minute delay in service at the counters. After going there weekly since opening, that was the last time I have gone.Stores can look pretty but service and pricing is the only thing a business has to offerl.

Due to the high theft rate my fiance and myself were treated poorly by security because we are homeless. We simply came to purchase something to eat instead I was hassled by security because he didnt read my receipt correctly. He had me come up and identify the cashier who rang me up causing a little scene. I was humiliated but shortly after confirming my purchase with my receipt I was free to go. No apology. The Safeway store on 19th and S st. is large and offers everything you need to make a great Thanksgiving meal. Store includes overhead lists of items found for each row. Has a self help line to check out and pay. The store has a StarBucks located by the deli. Has a bakery with lots of of goodies like cakes, pies, cookies, and lots of other items. The store offers many brands of beer, wine, and other alcohol refreshments. People who shop here live in the midtown area. Customers are very friendly and the employees are very helpful . Bring your bags to pack your groceries or Safeway will use store bags. There is one problem with this store. The parking lot is too small. The spaces are very narrow. On weekends this store is packed with customers and it can be difficult to find a spaces. There are several disabled parking spots available. I shop early in the morning to avoid a packed parking lot.

Typical Safeway in the heart of downtown/midtown. They have all the standard items, but their deli is nicely laid out and they are quick to get your order finished. Nothing special, the prices are a little higher due to being in the middle of the city? Watch out for the homeless lingering outside, they are harmless but will ask for change.

Ive been getting this same order from the deli for years now. Its definitely a turkey bacon avocado with a twist! Added is mayo + mustard, olive spread, american white cheese, and tomato + lettuce on their house cheesy bread roll. The grocery store here is fine, but avoid the deli counter if you value your time and money. I have had too many experiences trying to get some side dishes for an event and they misrepresent what they have over the phone, or take a lifetime to get it packaged up and to you. My work refuses to use their deli counter after being let down, waiting for what feels like an eternity and having their stock misrepresented too many times. If it were a one of occurrence I could let it slide, but they have let me down more than they have been useful.
