I have been going to this supermarket now and then, it has stock everything you need for house hold. Very nicely mercahdsewd . It also has bakery and you get fresh bakery items . The wine and premix alcohol collection is good . So also hard liquors and beer. The fruits and vegetables are good . I love their readymade salad with sauce . I will keep visiting them again . Only sour point is the quality of coffe in their Starbucks outlet which is not good

Best customer services and supports! I got an issue in using a coupon and it seems like those are not applied after it’s scanned. They were two ladies that helped me out thru the self-checking service until the issues is solved.Do not hesitate asking them for help, I bet you will satisfy with the result you get. Highly recommended Safeway in this area.

It is huge and well organized store with wide assortment.The staff is nice and helpful.Signs are meaningful and help to find what you need.The parking is pretty big so you would always find a place.It also has Starbucks inside so you could enjoy your coffee while shopping.

Good sized Safeway at this location. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and they are quite quick to respond to growing lineups with adding more cashiers to the checkout lines. Parking is ample and it is pretty easy to get in and out of this Bailey Plaza mall. There is a Starbucks kiosk inside this location if that is the coffee you crave .

This Safeway on Shoreline Blvd is an abject embarsement to the Human Race. I work in an unofficial capacity as a secret shopper for DoorDash. And 99% of the time I do deliveries here. Something is not in stock. So naturally I complain about it to the Union Workers. Who get Union Benefits and Union Pay. What do they do? Act like Union Workers are supposed to? And complain to the higher ups about why they are unable to fulfill thier responsibilities as Safeway Union Employees? No of course not. Instead they call the cops on me because I am pointing out to them Empirical Facts. That can be readily observed and recorded through the Loss Preventions Cameras in the Shoreline Safeway Market.

By far the worst grocery store om Earth! The lines are always long no matter how many or how few shoppers there are. They continue closing down registers to ensure every register has at least 10 people in line, and they send their employees to the back to work on other stuff. I live 1 block from this Safeway but usually drive 10 min to go somewhere else and come back faster. Tonight I decided to stop there for 1 item only to return empty handed when I saw the lines. Shame! They need to close down so a more decent grocery store could open in their place.

This Safeway has been around since the 60s and hasnt had a major remodel since the 2000s, and its starting to show its age in some areas of the store. The freezer sections are unreliable and constantly break down or dont hold proper temps.Take the older reviews about the lines with a grain of salt - it was horrible in 2017-2018, but theyve since added Self Checkout and increased staffing, and the checkout times are much more manageable now.Considering all the apartments that are being built nearby, I would hope that Safeway remodels this location soon.

They were delicious - flavorful & tender, along with baked russetts with butter, sour cream and chives, and roast asparaugus with sliced garlic. All from Safeway, at reasonable prices, and great service (especially from the in-house butcher)

I drive past two formal Sushi restaurants to come get the lunch-time sushi made by the Itamae Moon. A couple of times I have shown up while she is restocking and I can tell from the way she looks over everything that she takes great pride and satisfaction in her job. Her professionalism and customer service when I have interacted with her have also been top-notch!I also really appreciate the staff that work in the Starbucks here. They are courteous and always make my drink quickly and perfectly every time, regardless of who is working.

Im in awe. This location has the friendliest people employees. The managers were great and so was Viviana at the Boars Head. They made me my gluten free sandwich and that made my day. I didnt know that Safeway offers gluten free bread.

I bought a coconut topped cake and was yummy. Good organic vegetables are there. Bit pricey. But if you have their card then the price will be ok. Expect a big queue on peak hours especially on weekends. A small to go restaurant is inside. You may get fully cooked chicken there.

This Safeway is quite spacious and has a better butcher and seafood section compared to other Safeways, especially those in the East Bay. Its clean, like most Safeways, and offers plenty of self-checkout options for quick shopping. The fresh produce is readily available, and its convenient to ask staff for help if youre lost. With a consistent layout across their stores, finding what you need here is straightforward, just like in other Safeway locations Ive visited.Easy to park with the large parking space and close to the freeway so great access. Also I like how fast they do curbside when I order from there. Saves me A LOT of time shopping and they dont charge any extra fees!!!

The Safeway is smaller than most in the surrounding area. Which has its pros and cons. They dont have quite the same inventory as the larger stores but I find it easier to pop in and out when I just want to pick up a few items. Sometimes, you experience a longer wait during checkout because they do not have a lot of checkers. Starbucks is okay. Again,if you just looking get in and out this is a really good store.

Good MorningThe Urban area have some of the rudest customers,they giggles and play around with their co workers,The food gets a 4 stars when working at the deli dept.Every employees should know the menu memorized so they dont have to argue with the customers,holding up the lines,its bad enough grocery stores nowadays are a million packed,know your section,hire the right peopleSuburban area are more prepared to deal with the menu. Some of the aisles are one way but the labeling isnt particularly easy to navigate. Seems to be and equal opportunity and employer. Helpful staff. The sales for members can be quite good, I would recommend becoming a member because it does not cost anything but it makes this a reasonably priced place to shop if you keep up with the available offers.

I shop here on a weekly basis spending over a hundred dollars and today when I asked for assistance at the courtesy counter I dealt with a so-called manager named Lorena. First she racially profiled me and gave me such a terrible attitude and response, that she really could use some customer service training on how to treat people equally for being a so called manager. Second she even gave me false information for a service that was a complete lie. Luckily this is the only grocery store near my residence or else I would completely avoid it. Be aware of this rude individual when shopping here.

Fresh vegetables are still over-priced.Extremely under-staffed. Regardless of time-of-day, you wont spend less than 20 minutes waiting at the checkout line. Vegetables and fruit are over-priced. Most other things are fair. Id rather go to either Milk Pail or Sprouts at the San Antonio shopping center.

We decided to go to this Safeway along with the in-laws and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. As a family, we had great fun and my father in law especially enjoyed his time here. The place is packed with lots of fun aisles for all age groups and the little ones had a blast too.I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great way to spend a fun evening with the entire family.I only give 4 stars as I think a photo booth would be a great addition and will enhance the experience.Cant wait to go back !!!

You would think there wouldnt be long lines early in the morning. You would be wrong.This store has reliably long lines, especially 3pm-10pm M-F and all weekend long. Theyve gotten better about adding more cashiers when the lines grow, and the wait isnt usually more than 10 minutes, but its still enough of a frustration that I choose another grocer.Otherwise, its a great Safeway store like any other: clean, organized, friendly, usually well stocked.

My husband and I have been going to this location for the last year and a half, but it is now so understaffed that well be taking our business elsewhere. For the past several months, the majority of the times weve visited, only a few checkout registers have been open, and so the checkout lines have extended back into the aisles. Tonight, all the open checkout lines were more than halfway down the aisles. The cashiers are doing their best to keep up with the traffic, but only a few lines are open, and most lines dont have any help bagging. At this point, Im often spending more time in line than I spent picking out my groceries in the first place. From now on, were going to shop at other local stores with better staffing (Avas, Nob Hill, etc.)

It does not matter what time of the day you go to this store. No matter when it is, the lines are ridiculously long (literally 10+ people down the aisles) and the checkout experience is slow as molasses. Theres NEVER more than two lanes open, which is bizarre, and sometimes cashiers just stop the line for no perceivable reason. I legitimately am baffled at how poorly staffed the checkout lanes are. The rest of the store seems well-stocked and clean enough, so it may just be that they do not prioritize checking customers out. Either way, its always a nightmare here -- youll spend way more time waiting in line and feeling like youre in the way of people trying to shop than actually looking for the food you want to get.

The store was very clean and tidy. Unfortunately at 1045pm it was also very busy, due to a lack of qualified cashiers there was an unusually long line where we all had to wait our turn. I Inquired with the cashier lady she stated Im the only one tonite as she went on to apologize for the delay and not so good shopping experience. This Safeway is getting better and better - more produce, more diverse produce, more colorful produce, artisan goat dairy - a delight for a newly minted vegetarian like me. The clerks are very friendly and since I am a regular, we exchange a hello and a smile during each visit. The self checkout lines allow the store to get you out faster. The COVID response has been professionally orchestrated and the store is now open from 5AM to 11PM, allowing people who work from home during business hours to do their shopping before or after work.

Very poorly managed store (maybe the worst Safeway Ive seen). They never have nearly enough cashiers at peak times and lines usually extend way into the aisles. About six months ago it got markedly worse and it doesnt seem to be improving. Tonight I waited 20 minutes in line, had my groceries on the conveyor belt, and the cashier, who spent up to 5 minutes chatting with each customer in front of me, shut down his station as I was next up and told me and everyone behind me that we had to go to another line because he was signing out. I expressed my displeasure and another cashier let me cut to the front of her line, but why the heck was this necessary? You dont just shut down a line with peoples stuff already laid out! And why is any cashiers shift ending at 5:30pm, the busiest time of day? I cannot fathom how such a busy store cant raise its pay enough to retain enough cashiers to handle the lines. Some days customers even turn away at the door because the lines are so long. They are throwing money away running the store this way.

The lines are often long, but the staff that does work there truly goes above and beyond. The manager not only helped me get a patio table down but also helped me transport it to my house a few blocks away. This was incredibly helpful to me and went way above and beyond (the safeway is extremely busy, as others have noted).

Theres no self check-out, which is really annoying since Im usually just stopping for one or two items on my way to/from work. I shop at Safeway stores almost exclusively for my groceries. There are 3 or 4 that I use within a 15 mile radius, depending on where else I need to be. This particular store is one of the better ones. Plenty of parking, no matter what day it is, great Deli and Bakery, and a good selection of everything you would think of at a grocery store. Prices are mid-range for the area. Never more than 2 or 3 people waiting to be checked out, and there are 4 self checkout machines. There is also a full Starbucks store right inside one of the entrances.

Checkout lines here are usually long and chaotic due to cramped space and understaffing. Some staff are very nice, others are not. I had one particularly bad experience with staff who were trying to close a checkout line after I had already been waiting for some time. They told me another line would be faster (wrong by a long shot) and after I moved, put up the “lane closed” sign. If you go off hours (middle of the day on a weekday or early on weekend) it’s generally fine. Selection is usually decent. Butcher counter has always been great.

I stopped by around 9am to pick up something quickly before a job interview. The place had one register open, which quickly accumulated a long line. I was thinking of picking up an energy bar or something for breakfast, but not knowing the store layout, I couldnt find one quickly and I didnt want the line to get longer while I searched. I waited in line for a while, and then they told me to go to the floral section to check out. That was fine, and they got me out quicker there, but the guy behind me in floral tried to pay cash, and they could only do cards there because they didnt have any cash to make change. I thought I might pick up a coffee and a scone at the Starbucks in the store on my way out, but there was a long line there, and apparently only one person working. I didnt have time to wait in that line too, so I abandoned that idea and left hungry and un-caffeinated. Apparently this is not the place to go if you want to get in and out quickly in the morning.

Its a good store well run and professionally managed and staffed and the staff are very helpful and friendly and professional especially during this COVID-19 health and safety crisis. Its a clean store and well stocked and efficient and I enjoy going there to shop for groceries and the fellow shoppers can be very friendly and positive as well. Its in a good location next to local schools and bedroom communities and also close to Google Headquarters, downtown Mountain View, and many other local businesses. During this COVID-19 international health crisis I am grateful that I and others members of society are able to shop safely at this local grocery store.

It seems like the staff are trying, but the checkout lines look like Disneyland -- all the way down the isle. Expect to find 8 to 10 people in front of you, and others trying to navigate their carts around the lines that block the isles. It reminds me of my mental picture of the line leading to the gates of Hell in Dantes Inferno. Management obviously doesnt care, and the cashiers must endure an endless stream of people made surly by standing for 15 minutes or more in line. By treating customers this way, Safeway is a suicidal corporation!UPDATE, ONE YEAR LATER: Nothings changed. In the evenings, its common to see only two check lines in operation, and over a dozen customers in each of those two lines. There are often carts full of groceries near the checkouts that were abandoned by exasperated customers, with frozen items thawing in the carts - that undoubtedly get restocked hours later back on the shelves (food poisoning, anyone?). The poor checkers look besieged and explain the Management is under-staffing the checkout lines. Management there must be morons! Im surprised how docile the customers are - Im hopping mad from standing in line 20 to 30 minutes.

I just heard about the July incident (this summer 2018) at this location on CNN. A Safeway staff member called the Police about a lady who was giving food and a care pack to a homeless man. The Safeway staff member claimed in the call that there was a theft in progress. This could not be true because the woman never entered the store. Thankfully, the police were able to get to the truth of the matter and communicated this to the Safeway staff.In addition, when the womans little son had gone to find cookies at the bakery free sample area, a staff member said there were no cookies even though the cookies were visibly behind the counter. When the police came, the little boy thought maybe he had committed a crime by looking at the cookies behind the counter. This is so sad.Since the woman is African-American, there is an element of racism or prejudice.Safeway (at least this location) should issue a public apology to the family.I personally am never going to this Safeway again.

The WORST, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH THE DELI DEPARTMENT. It all started out with the fact that they were really really slow at making the sandwhiches. Did you miss the point, it was supposed to be a chicken artichoke. moving on to the spread, as the jar of spread is right next to my sandwhich I specifically ask her to put the spread outta the jar, because the other container was empty, it only had old spread at the bottom. she totally ignores me after i asked her twice and she puts the old spread on MY sandwhich! when she puts the avocado, she barely puts any, even though I AM paying extra for this. Now this is about 20 min in making the sandwhich. I nicely asked her to put a little more, she refused and rudly asked a different lady to prove that she was making it right.when we asked to put more artichokes the lady rudly said, Do you know how much the artichoke costs??Now why shouold i care ..?As were going back and forth, i see her nasty saliva flying on my sandwhich, not an apology, just kept arguing with me, thats when i said No thanks for the sandwhich. Worst customer service. I personally worked at sub way for 1 year, i know how all this works and that the most important is customer service. you dont just argue with the customer, i usually never write reviews, but this experience was too much to not share. Out of the three Safeways in Mountain View (San Antonio, Rengstorff, and Shoreline), this is the worst. Its lines are usually pretty long, the layout is confusing, and a select few employees are pretty rude. Theres also no self checkout, which is surprisingly annoying when only buying one item.Bike parking exists, but is a little sketchy. Theres racks in a dimly lit sidealley (with a deconstructed bike attached that has been there for months), racks in front which only allow wheel ULocking (no frame ULocking), and racks near the neighboring Starbucks. I think moving the sidealley bike parking closer to the entrance would be the best solution.That said, it is Safeway. Suppose I chuck a brick of frozen corn from aisle 12 and try to hit aisle 3. My boy Taka is waiting there trying to catch it. Is that really a Safeway to conduct a business?P.S. Taka totally caught it on the fourth try.

This safeway is constantly understaffed. Always long lines at the register and they have not improved in years. Unfortunately this is the closest groceries store to me so I have to keep wasting time here...

Lines.. long long lines to pay top dollar for your groceries.Its like 1980 in the old Soviet Union.. bread lines with better bread.Avoid. Save yourself.

This is a horrible safeway, understaffed, the quality of the staff they do have is marginal and they dont have half the stuff I need. The onkt reason i go there is there are no other super markets close to me.

It is close to my house. Kinda dumpy outside but it has everything I need. There is usually no one in line at self checkout so I am in and out quick.

Shady place, the cashier while billing me talked to the guy after me in Spanish. And without asking me he added the other persons item to my bill. Only after I prompted the cashier removed those from my bill. No apologies or remorse from the guy after me or the cashier.

I walked in, saw the line, and walked back out. They only had one register open and two lines going to it. One line literally ran half the length of the store, and a second smaller line was running down an aisle.
