Placerville Safeway Floral department and girls rock!!!! I was having a mini elopement in Tahoe and my fiancé lives close to this Safeway. We had ordered my bouquet and 4 boutonnières from a local floral shop but happened to walk into Safeway to get some groceries and noticed how gorgeous and affordable the flowers were. After a quick visit with Camille and another sweet blonde lady (sorry I cannot remember your name) we quickly changed gears and ordered the flowers for our wedding from Safeway!!! So glad we did. We saved hundreds of dollars and actually got something we liked considerably better!!!! I literally had my dream bouquet! We were told the flowers would be ready by 10am and when we arrived everything was perfect and waiting!!!! Thank you, Camille and co-worker!!!! You girls really made my day very special!!!

Its December 23rd. Every register is open with only 2 people per lane. The shelves are totally stocked and all shelves are faced. This was such a great experience despite being prepared for the worst. The management did a fantastic job planning ahead.

Came at 1:50AM and they were closed even though they are not supposed to close until 2:00AM. They ran over and opened the door and I was able to get the dog food I came for. Thank You Safeway for being the only store around here open late!

Somedays should start with a Do Over button. First, I stood in the wrong lane and then left my handbag in the cart. Tina good heartedly, helped me check out. I drove away and my ear buds disconnected. I Went back and my handbag wasnt in the cart. I went back inside and Tina had moved to customer service...no handbags turned. This woman walked all over the store with me to find it. I knew it was in the store because my earbuds kept connecting. Finally, Stacy got involved and asked people to check their carts for my handbag. 5 minutes later, after who knows how long of searching, I had it back! The effort these women put in to helping me was so appreciated and they deserve everyones respect for being the type of people that go above and beyond.

Its a Safeway what do you expect, it has everything that all the other big Safeway stores have at the same price. Last grocery store while heading north o. 50 until South Lake Tahoe. So at exit 60 on 50 and go 0.15 mile North. At the red stop turned left⁰0⁰

This store is always out of products. It was understandable at one point, but I no longer have this issue when shopping at other stores. Also, staff is rude and Im standing here in a check out line 7 people deep, staff is just standing around while only 1 person is working checkout!

I went there strictly for their fresh flowers which I have always found to be of great variety, reasonably priced and quite fresh. I needed quite a few white ones for my fathers end of life celebration. I had alot of options for white and the prices were great. A couple of my choices were on sale even. The area is always nicely stocked and clean. The lady at the flower counter was awesome. She gave me one of their display pots, added water and cut the flowers before packing them to travel well for me. I will always choose Safeway for fresh flowers.

Safeway advertises specials on Friday. Eight piece.fried chicken for $5 is very popular,.but when you get there, you find they are sold out and you are required to reserve ahead in the afternoon for dinnertime pickup. That is ridiculous 😒The week before they advertised a pound of chicken tenders for $5. I bought a bag, and they were stone hard and couldnt be eaten. When I informed them tonight of my experience,.they could not have cared less.The Safeway in El Dorado Hills on Green Valley and Franciscan is fantastic!

Always super busy, management doesnt seem to value employees which trickles down to some of them having bad attitudes.Floral department has great selection and decent prices, always a good stop for last minute gifts.Has consistent items so shopping cam be planned ahead of time. Just wish the parking was better and it wasnt so crowded and the employees seemed happier.

I love the layout of this particular Safeway. Their prices are very comparable to neighboring stores. The store is usually a bit busy when I stop in but thats around 5pm. So I expect it to be as such. It is always clean and organized. The workers there are all so polite and will make sure your questions are answered. They also have a Western union, money stop up at customer service in the front where you can get money orders, cash checks, send money and receive money. There deli food is always fresh and cooked just right. Its definitely a weekly stop for my kids and I.

Staff are always helpful and really extend themselves to meet any out of the ordinary needs one might have. I really appreciate the cart sanitations habit they have. Would like to see the $5 Friday sales improve- theyre not as worthwhile as they had been- last couple months havent been such great deals. Staff attitudes are top notch at our store here tho !!! I remember I was once a kid when I visited this Safeway. My dad David McIntire died and was a popular oral surgeon in Placerville. I will miss these great moments before I moved to Florida. Daughter in laws 30th birthday. Found the perfect cake at Safeway bakery. Asked for assistance with the cake but were told they had no boxes for the cake. (It was raining today) so maybe could we do two boxes? One to use to cover the cake? No. Maybe use a plastic bag to cover the cake. No. So you can’t sell the cake because you have nothing to put the cake you made to sell in??? I was furious. This bakery person, I didn’t get her name, was terrible at customer service and offered no solutions.We went to Raleys bakery, found a beautiful cake, had excellent customer service. They had boxes for the cakes they sell and very friendly people in the bakery. Thanks Raleys in Placerville!!

The place is well run. Most staff are great. This place is really busy. Lines all the time. Lines are not from bad management or service but because its well stocked and maintained. They do have a person in the deli that isnt great. Not sure her name but she is abrupt and short with her help. Slow and abrasive.

Staff was friendly. The store is very clean and well kept. The bathroom is easily accessible from the front door. There is a great selection of food, including vegan and gluten free foods. They have a hot food area, which is very well kept. The workers are aware of their hygiene, particularly their gloves. I noticed that they removed their gloves when they switched from working the food area to the register.Its also nice that they are open pretty late, which is hard to find in this area.

I was given a run around!!!! I was told they didnt have my order. Went to bakery they sent me back to deli. Lady told me they didnt have my order tried to show the lady my confirmation on my phone she got rude said she cant read it and told me that there was nothing she could do they need 24 hour order. I told her I ordered a week ago and she yelled to everyone in the deli if they had a tray and they came out with wrong party tray and said thats all they had it matches the price. I call ahead and asked if my meds were ready two days ago… they said they were processing it and would have it ready next day. Fast tracking two days I come in today to grab my meds. They tell me oh it’s not processed yet give us 30 minutes sure ok, I go grab lunch come back in 30 minutes…. Oh your prescription is missing a diagnostic code… so we have to call the doc office to get it fixed before we can fill it…. Why didn’t you do this two days ago. There has been a pharmacy problem everytime I come here. I am so over this place I will be moving pharmacies.

I love Safeway. Their staff is friendly. They almost always have sale items in stock. Their meat lasts in the fridge a couple days until I use it or freeze it. Unlike the other stores. The bakery here is the best. Thanksgiving weekend my daughter got married and we needed a cake on short notice so we called Safeway and Lorri was amazing! This Safeway serves several surrounding towns so it is usually pretty busy in the afternoon and weekends. Their lines are generally long and I feel like they are always one cashier down at their peak times. Other than that, the store is clean and their staff is always friendly

Safeway is great. A few shifty folks in the parking lot when you go around closing time 11:00pm. Not a huge deal. Store is clean & not too much turn over so it’s nice to see the same faces each visit. If you do go around closing be prepared for the onslaught of closing announcements over the intercom. “We will be closing in....” Every 5-10 minutes they are saying the same thing during the entire last hour. Tonight when I went they said “ we will be closing strictly at 11:00pm...” Strictly....really? Doesn’t make you feel very appreciated for being a customer. Overall though, they are good.

I tried to not Safeway highly that often because I dont think its a good company to work for. But they have good products and occasionally good prices, just depend on if you want to support them or not because theyre out for themselves. Always long lines I dont know why theyre so many check stands, if they cant have people to be checkers. On this visit I got to over here on worker verbally abusing another worker. Been shopping here for 18+ years, it use to be better before Albertsons bought out Safeway. Most of the Friendly staff has gone. Now need to be really careful when buying meats/seafood from the Butcher Department, make sure to check it for spoilage right away when getting home. Always check receipt before you leave the Store or when you get home for advertised price differences that are not in your favor. Also the gas discount credit Im suppose to have gotten doesnt always show up. When this happens.... Customer service doesnt deal with it anymore...I have been told that I have to call the Corporate phone number.

The store was clean and had what I needed. My complaint with this visit was that there seemed to be a lot of labels missing from the shelves in the deli, which meant that you would have to touch items to get a look at the item description and/or price. Seems like the wrong practice right now with germophobia being in style. I will give them this: They were doing a great job of wiping down all of the carts before you grabbed them to take into the store. They also had alternating one-way-only markings on the aisles to attempt to keep people from stuffing themselves past each other. Current events withholding, Id say its a great store to visit again.

Safeway in general is a decent store. This Safeway however is horrible. The store will literally have 30 people waiting to check out with only 3 cashiers. There is nothing like spending 45 minutes shopping and waiting and additional 20 minutes to check out. Not to mention employees couldnt check us out(Deli & Flower shop) because they lacked the log in codes. Seems like managment is dropping the ball here. Id rather drive an additional 20 minutes to the other Safeway.

I liked that it was less per gal at $3.29, easy to locate and plenty of space to maneuver around others to get in, pay at pump, drive out and easy to get back on freeway . The only problem I noticed was the food and drink shop here sooo small and seemed sooo busy so I choose not to buy anything there and paid at pump. The line was out the door and not clear whos on first, sort of speak.

Took my friend to Safeway today and showed her your wonderful automated air system for your tires. She thought I was pulling her leg. So I had put air in 2 tires at another gas station just to prove a point. I showed her, how to input the tire pressure required for my tires and if its over filled, it will automatically deflate it some, then reinflate it to appropriate pressure for my tires. Only more than one occasion, waiting in line, Ive watched the checker have a full unrelated conversation with the customer while the line grew and grew.Too many checkers here have no consideration for peoples time.On another occasion, in the self checkout line, the red indicator lit up on two check stands. The employee in charge of watching the self check out stands looked at the red lights, and walked away.That same employee stopped myself and my girlfriend near the door and accused us of stealing the items we had just purchased because she wasnt present at the moment we actually purchased.We flagged our receipt, and kept walking.Staple items are never restocked during the day and are usually gutted by the afternoon.Safeway runs on a skeleton crew, there is little to no customer service. That means store leadership needs to be extremely efficient with their scheduling and management.Store leadership is obviously failing at this particular Safeway location.

Just went to the pharmacy in Safeway to get my 4th Covid shot (I have a very weak immune system ) I was humiliated when the clerk loudly said “there is no 4th shot !!! I said that’s not true it was posted on the cdc website a month ago . He told me that I am wrong and the shot doesn’t exist . I went to my local rite aids pharmacy and they gladly gave me my shot !!! The self-checkout area (at the Missouri Flat store in Placerville Ca) is problematic and here is why I think so:1) There is no indication of where we customers should stand while we wait for a register to open so there tends to be a lot of confusion2) The area we do mill about in while we wait is exactly where there is a large volume of foot traffic so there tends to be a lot of confusion3) The line-of-sight from the implied area where customers wait to the actual area where the self-check registers are located is usually visually blocked completely by displays set up on the ender/display area, so we cannot see when a register opens so there tends to be a lot of confusion4) This is my biggest complaint about this: this is fourth time I have made a comment: once to a manager in person, in an email to the store, in an email to corporate, and this is the fourth email interaction. I would be relieved to at least get an acknowledgement that my concerns are heard (or read, as the case may be....)My suggestions include posting a sign indicating where to wait for the next register to open, in an area where the self-check line isnt obstructing the flow of traffic, and keeping the end display below eye-level so as to have a clear line of sight to the registers (to see as each become available), and a response to my communication. This would fulfill your corporate mission statement to me (and change my rating from 3 to 5 stars): To create a shopping experience that pleases customers.

Safeway is very friendly and despite long lines around the 4th of July, things moved very fast. I recently had all my various medications moved to Safeway Pharmacy and will say that they are also bright and friendly. Had a horrible experience with the local Rite-Aide Pharmacy, so picked up my prescriptions and transferred as did my elderly mother and handicapped sister. The Pharmacists are professional and knowledgeable and dont make you feel like a felon for getting pain medication filled. Shout out to Eddie in customer service (pharmacy) as he has bent over backwards to take care of our needs. Highly recommend. I should note that this Safeway Store is on Missouri Flats Rd.

I was on hold for 36 minutes the first time I tried to ask somebody what time I can pick up groceries I purchased online the two women I spoke to had no idea what time they had no idea what time the store open or closed because on the website it says its 24 hours which is WRONG! I was put on hold for another 10 minutes and then the phone hung up on me 😵😞💔I called back and the phone rang for over 2 minutes before someone finally got to me and the young man told me no he thought they closed at 2 in the morning and opened again at 6 in the morning but I could not pick up my groceries before 9 or 10? On the website it says if I had them ordered Thursday they be here between 6 and 8 a.m. so what is it no one seemed to know the managers name always left on hold that whole time the second time because I asked to speak to a manager and thats when I got hung up on its really quite pathetic. If youre disabled I suggest you do not shop here because theres no one there to help you online or otherwise 😔😞💔
