I called to see if they had propane tanks since they were out the day before. The kid on the phone said verbatim “that’s a third party vendor so I don’t have to go check.”You’ve got to be kidding me. I know Safeway treats their employees terribly but don’t take it out on the customers.Drove over to Lucky’s and they were happy to help me.

Why is the Chinese food here so good?? Seriously, I had the pineapple chicken yesterday and the Kung Pao chicken today, and both times, my food has been as high quality as the stuff from Lily Kao.Did you guys hire some Micheline star chefs or something recently? Every time I order Chinese food at the deli, the food is beyond fantastic.5 star food. Friendly employees. Wonderful quality even at 7pm.What else can I say? Im going to get fat from eating here so often! I cant stop coming back.

I do not advise going to this Safeway from the hours of midnight till around 5am. The night stocking crew are very rude. Dont attempt to ask any employees where anything is unless you do not mind a reply with an answer attached with a not so subtle hint that you are bothering them and that your just in there way. Also it seemed to me as if I was being followed by the manager and when I asked the checkout employee about it her reply made me feel as if I was a criminal. Just fyi....I have never stolen a dam thing in my life and my personal appearance is clean and professional but from stocker to manager they have not once but within 3 late night visits have made me feel unwanted.

2 stars because I tried to get trail mix and it wouldnt scan at self checkout. Person running didnt know how to deal with the item and manager on lunch so no trail mix. Also this store is not like it use to be and needs to do better

Really nice, clean, and professional staff. I had a $5 coupon for my birthday on the just 4 u app, and for some reason it wasn’t working, I had let the lady know which I forgot her name and she still honored it. Being a college student, on a tight budget, I really did appreciate it. I originally live in Rohnert Park, they didn’t have the birthday candle i was looking for because they were out of stock. That is why I drove to the petaluma location, I was very happy and pleased with their service even though i drove almost 20 minutes each way.

This store opened in 1976, the year I moved to Rohnert Park. Ive chopped here off and on since 1976. For the last 17 years Ive shopped here regularly. The products are consistently of good quality and reasonably priced. To quote the former Governor, Ill be back!

Terrible place to work, not a great first job experience. I would never recommend any friends or family to work at this Safeway. The managers are awful, unorganized, and condescending. Staff is also unorganized, uncoordinated, and gossips continuously. Was very disappointed to hear of a current employees hiring and training experience. You can work hear for months and they will never give u your employee discount, u wont get trained properly, they wont get ur schedule right. They also skimp on helth and safety trainings!!! Its disappointing to hear how awful the workers hear are treated. As a previous employee, I absolutely regret recommending my friend to work hear.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially their curbside pick up team. As a person with a chronic illness, the ability to order online and pick up outside takes a lot of anxiety out of getting shopping done. This location especially has a great curbside pick up team and the location has a great selection of organics.

The Petaluma, Sonoma Mountain Store, has the Best Chinese Food takeout, Richard is friendly and adds Fresh vegetables for a better taste.The store is my favorite Safeway in Sonoma County. Whenever working in Petaluma, I recommend this store for lunch.

Its a small version of the Safeway we all know and mostly love...the clerks etc are very friendly. Not a crabby one in the bunch so far. Thats very important. Food is very expensive and there is a certain amount of resentment that goes with paying these prices, but if it comes with a smile and a hows your day? It makes it palatable. Very clean and well stocked. Beautiful flowers.

This is my favorite Safeway. Its quiet, its clean, its well stocked and it has the nicest people. I particularly like the meat and seafood department their. Ask for Valerie because shes the best. I also really love the selection of fine liquors and the really good deals you can get on them.

These people do NOT respond to customer concerns. They offer Google pay, but it only works some of the time. I left my wallet in the car today and had to get out of line, go to my car to get my wallet when Google pay didnt work. Cashiers consistently could not care less. Managers too. Frustrated.

I liked this place better when it was G&G market. I stood at the counter for some fried chicken for 5 minutes while workers just kept looking over at me. An older woman got in front of me and they spoke to her right away even though I was there first. I got no acknowledgment whatsoever, just uncomfortable glances. I walked out of course but that is really ridiculous and lousy CS. I will not bother coming back unless I need to use the restroom. At least that service is free and does not require anyone helping me bc obviously I am too brown to even be acknowledged.

This is just like all the other Safeways you might venture into. Parking is easy. Starbucks and a great burrito place are here if your hungry. The grocery store that was here previously featured a lot of local meat, fish and veggies. Would be great if Safeway started focusing on that.

This is the new location in Petaluma. Overall, Safeway is my favorite grocery store. This location is well laid out and I can find 99.9% of what Im shopping for. Their store brands are of equal or higher quality than the standard brands and can be significantly less expensive. This location has a huge selection of bulk items, meats (especially at the butcher counter), hot food items, deli items, bakery, produce, and dairy. I really enjoy the store brand sour dough loaf bread. Another good thing is that this store, being in a residential area and off the beaten path, is less busy than the other location.

They need to keep the express lanes open when everyone is shopping on their way home from work. Often only 2 lanes open filled with people doing weekly shopping as opposed to tonights dinner and bottle of wine {thus no self checkout}.

Had a horrible experience with the deli today. Chick made our sandwiches wrong twice!!😡I usually give great reviews to all the Safeways I have visited. Today was terrible guys, I have to be honest. This is a special safeway as it sits upon the ghost of the second of two beloved g and g ex independent grocery stores with a Chinese twist. Paying homage to that legacy the store maintains a mini Chinese food store within a store. Yet the ghosts of great shopping past haunt this once hallowed store.

Trying to duplicate the local market they bought out. [G&G in financial difficulties due to embezzlement.] Doing a pretty good job--local bakery breads, local produce like before. Tillamook Ice Cream not in stock [1/22/17], but freezer shelf space is reserved for it. If you want a product, they will take your request & phone you when it comes in.If you liked G&G, you will like this new Safeway Local.But: some items out of stock, it will take a month or so for them to smooth things out.

Many organic products. No Strauss dairy products that I can find. None of that Rohnert Park real rye bread that I can find. A very nice deli section. Safeway continued the employment of the staff of the G&G store which they acquired at this location, and that is the proper way to treat people, rather than laying them off and hiring someone else. Service from the store staff is, generally, first rate. I have rarely shopped at any Safeway in decades, it having been impressed upon me by earlier experiences that they operated as the distribution depots for the Food Commissar Division of Central Services most notable for long lines at checkout. However, this new store in Petaluma has impressed me favorably. Room for improvement, but pretty good.

Safeway is trying very hard to look like a cross betweenTrader Joes & Whole Foods. They have good local produce, bakery, bill pay, money transfer etc. propane, ice, wood, pharmacy, dairy etc. They sell whole milk in glass bottles..yummy!. Its clean organized has a Starbucks with wifi & nice seating indoor & out. The deli actually has great sandwiches with local meats veggie bread cheese & has a terrific sushi chef on sight with the genuinely good, local, sustainably farmed & fresh sushi. They will make it for you on the spot with your choice of items. Makes a great sushi lovers party plate of your combination. Never said that about a Safeway before!😉 If youre traveling 101 its right off both freeway exits in both directions. Easy off & on both ways & plenty of parking. Part of the peculiar charm of this Safeway is its local customers provide & demand fresh local organic sustainable items. The wine department has Napa & Sonoma California wines very reasonably. There is a mass variety of beers & spirits & liquors. Yes, you can also check your blood pressure! 😉 (this isnt heaven just a grocery store!) Self check out available, with assistance right there. They provide all the shopping carts, large small - baskets & childrens versions as well as electric scamps. Charming helpful personnel who will walk your purchases & load them in your car!

The service at the deli is terrible, they just look at you and dont help you yesterday my husband went shopping and his break time was up and he never left the deli the people who work are not helpful not friendly very bad service definitely
