I used to like this location until yesterday. I got cereals and crackers and the total was $76+. Found out I was charged this unknown item for $22+ the cashier just refunded cash with no receipt. The Safeway card wasnt processed and I was charged ridiculous prices and when I tried to explain to customer service, she kept saying I needed to use my Safeway to get sale prices. I never had to use the app before- thats why I have a Safeway card to scan the sale price! she reluctantly re-scanned some items and charged me more $33+, but I never received the Refund to my account. Im out $100 from my account now with no refund.!!!

Worst Safeway ever! Misty was super sweet and nice but when I had to come back she wasn’t there and two employees who refused to give me their names were extremely rude. Worst experience I’ve ever had and I had my toddler with me and they made my experience even worst and had the nerve to have a smart mouth. Never shopping at Safeway anymore. All rude and smart mouth for what? A SAFEWAY JOB! Wanted to charge me for something I didn’t get to use and return exactly the way I picked it up like the last customer left.

Gotta say was a bit shocked with this Safeway. On the smaller side when it comes to Safeway and I was specifically looking for a nice bottle of wine for a dinner I was invited to. The wine selection was very small and they had $20 bottles of wine locked up, so you needed assistance to get them. The wine that was on the shelves was the $10 standard, so not much. The store also seemed like it needed some TLC and updating. I still enjoy going to Safeway so this experience wont stop me from going just now I know not to go here for wine.

I live right next door and come here 3+ times a week….If you wanna stand in line for 20 mins then be treated like you threw the cashiers lollipo in the dirt, this is the place for you! 7 lanes. Never seen 3 open at once. Slow, rude, go somewhere else.

Negatives its old in need of a makeover..if youre in a hurry avoid at all costs..no self checkout..some checkers are checked out/ indifferent or not happy. Positives..close to home..always can find parking..usually not crowded for the above reasons.

The staff/employees are helpful and polite and they are great about knowing idem locations or availability and also offering to check in the backroom overstock for me on the last 2 visits ...Friendly with the customer both in&outside side of the store.Check out is a dream ... This Safeway is still operated like an old fashioned neighborhood market with modern convenience.The only drawback which is minor is the smaller selection due to limited space.So Im giving you five stars just holding back one star on the board so when one thinks Im a nutter who sees things through Rose colored glasses ... Been going to this Safeway my whole life.The staff is generally pleasant. I have two concerns that have come up over the past few years though.1. The core staff often seems to be overworked. It would be nice to see them get some more help.2. The parking lot is terrible at night. Trees overgrown around the lighting cause huge dark spots around some of the vehicles. Customer safety seems to not be important to the owners of the property.With safeway being the largest business there, utilizing most of this parking, putting some pressure on the property owners to maintain the lot would be a good decision.

This Safeway never has enough checkers. Every time I come to this store the checkout line goes clear to the back of the store. There are many extra employees walking around stocking shelves, or just hanging out, chatting near the back, why not make some of them checkers when its busy? No one will be upset if the shelves are less than full, but everyone gets upset waiting 20 minutes in line.

This Safeway feels more compact compared to others in the area, like in Westborough or Millbrae, but its still a Safeway nonetheless. It would be nice if they had self-checkout terminals since it always seems like theres a long line.

I like this little Safeway. I went there to buy flowers to take to the cemetery. Renee in the florist department was friendly and very helpful which she helped pick out the flowers that would work well outdoors especially with the weather in Colma Ca. She even offered to put it together and make it nice for my uncle and added a touch of Christmas feel. I really appreciated her help. You cant find great customer service these days and Renee made my day because I had limited mobility and couldnt stand long but I really wanted nice flowers for my uncles grave so she said to have a seat and shell take care of it. Happy Holidays Renee and know you are very much appreciated.

This was a little smaller compared to the nearest safeway but way bigger than other grocery stores nearby like smart & final and lucky. I went to this one as it is opened till midnight. Also don’t forget to use safeway digital coupons if you are frugal and have a bit more time.

Sadly I was turned away at 11:55 pm thurs evening needed a few things after air travel trip on way home. Said they were closed . at 11:55pm on my cell phone. I showed it to door attendant, and a few customers were still in store not even checking out yetis . I counted 5 shoppers checked out. I said I only had a few things and still refused. I am not shopping at this store in my neighborhood any more Safeway!

Ive been going to the Safeway for over 30 years and have never seen more than 2 lanes open. They have the staff for ot but they choose not to have them in the cashier lane. this is in a pretty densely populated urban area so the lines in the store can take 20 minutes around lunch time. They could get more business and customers taken care of if they had more cashiers so theyre losing money doing it this way but I guess they dont care because theyve got a captive group of people who need their store.

Safeway, the mainstay of groceries offers other services from bus tokens, money orders, and very good prices on meat, selection of magazines, produce, bakery, deli, dairy, and neighborhood style service. Safeway always have people with character. The workers are always cool and tries their best to conversate. Here is the tea, the other day I was ordering some chicken from the hot food and a middle age woman had the audacity to stand infront of me (3 inches away) and tell me to excuse her. Um....lady, Im in the middle of ordering???!Anyways, I bought a pack of white claws and drink them. No not all of it. Just one. But in wanted it to seem more dramatic.I miss playing monopoly. 😀

This is just to run-of-the-mill neighborhood Safeway. As clean as you expect, with a hit or miss chance for friendly staff, but equipped with a Starbucks to satisfy your coffee fix when everything else is closed. Abundant parking and some nice eat out options just a few steps away.

This Safeway I smaller than the other one located in South San Francisco but for some reason this store has more products in stock. Lines are a little long . They have some really good deals without having a Safeway card I always forget to select deals to out on my Safeway card but on Fridays they have 5.00 deals.

The Safeway is bare Bones minimum of what you need. The lines are pretty long because of covid at the moment. I didnt notice any bathroom when I was in there. They have a very limited supply of fish I noticed only two kinds. Theres no seafood section or frozen seafood. Theres a long aisle of land animals, the quality is pretty low though in comparison to other Safeways. It has a very limited supply of ice cream brands. It has a good selection of alcohol. Its hard to get shopping carts here so if you see one grab it as soon as you can as the next elderly person will grab it from you. Theres a lot of parking but its usually taken so there might be a wait for parking. There are a few handicap areas for those of you that have that. The cashiers and baggers are pretty friendly though. It has a good selection of vegetables as long as theres no one hoarding. They always have those discount bundles in the front of the veggie aisle. They no longer disinfect the shopping carts. The music is a variety of early 2000s pop music.

Employees dont care about helping you at this location. Went in to get a propane exchange and they were out. Checked there cage and there was an entire cage with full tanks. When I went back in to mention they had tanks, they reinforced they were out and then changed the story to they couldnt find the key. They just didnt want to help. Will never shop at this location again.

I shopped for groceries about 3 P .m. This is a small store, therefore minimal choices of items. I got everything I needed. But, some brands I usually buy were not available. The fruits and vegs were fresh. The meat dept. had a variety to choose from. The checkout lines were slow. I did get assistance out, which was nice.

I enjoyed the deli department and the man who waited on myself and my grandson. He was awesome and he had a beautiful personality and his customer service skills were excellent. This safeways overall is small and some what outdated but thats okay. The people are friendly and every one pretty much goes about their day. I recommend this quiet,quaint Safeway if you dont want to deal with the drama that they have at the Safeway on Mission St. by Onandaga St. in San Francisco.

We are vacationing from the Midwest and needed to get groceries. We liked up a few items from a premium, organic store earlier in the day and I got heartburn looking at their prices. Foe example, 7th Generation Chlorine free diapers were $16.98! We decided to purchase other items elsewhere. I am glad we found Safeway. Their prices are pretty much comparable with the grocery stores back home! The store was clean and the employees were very friendly. By the way, I found the same 7th generation diapers at Safeway on sale for $9.99! We will be returning should we need anything else.

Only go here if you want to wait 30 min in line just to check out. This safeway needs to be updated from 1995 to 2020. Drive to the lucky on el camino or safeway on Hillsborough. Its always understaffed and pretty small. About a mile away is a newly renovated safeway making this one a lazy option if needed. Selection is smaller than other safeways and there is a Pacific market across the street for cheaper produce. Workers are nice though.

I visited this store today coming in from out of town. Dark haired white male cashier gave me MAJOR ATTITUDE, including even rolling his eyes, because I wanted cash back in two $10 bills instead of a $20.I heard this store rude and racist, but I ignored it to get food for my children. Although the store had what few things I needed, there were only 2 registers open and both had long (5 + people) lines. I figured another cashier wasnt called as they didnt have one. Not even the express lane was open. Although I personally dislike them, this store also didnt have a self checkout, which in this case I would have used it as i only had a couple items.

Had to return expired milk I accidentally bought that same day and another person was there returning moldy pie and trying to complain to manager ( there didn’t appear to be one). Tonight was the second time in two months our dinner plans were ruined. The last time we bought steak and prepared all the ingredients. We were just about to cook the steak and my gf flips it over to discover the steak has gone bad. I bring it close to my nose to smell it and it stunk...I then go back to the store and ask to speak to a manager and long story short, I had to call back the next day to speak to the GM, who assured me she would talk to the meat manager. Just now (12/14/12) we got back from the same Safeway store and bought some beef to make burgers for the weekend. Same story, we had everything prepared and guess what?? we flip over the burger and notice its rotten...NOT AGAIN...I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS or any other Safeway again. The worst ever....

Decent Safeway. Its a little on the small and mildly unkept end of the Safeway spectrum. However, you can get all your groceries for cheap and theres a deli if you need lunch/dinner.

The Filipino girl who works in customer service is one of the rudest people Ive ever encountered. Safeway needs to put her in the back room away from people. Just a nasty woman., with an obvious chip on her shoulder. The only reason I gave 1 star is because I couldnt continue without hitting one or more stars.
