The bathroom smells like pure urine. Hire professional cleaners to fix the graffiti in the bathroom. Sinks, faucets and other fixtures have hard water stains. Replace them. Floors need a chemical scrub.Store is fully stocked and neat. Store is small but you can get the basics here. They are throwing away a lot of premade foods, so make sure to bless someone with a meal so there’s less waste.Staff is nice and friendly. This is our neighborhood grocery store. It’s not as big as some other Safeway stores but it is convenient. There are three self checkout stands. That helps during busy times.

Now I know why youre only 2.5 stars, everytime I shop Im followed around because Im homeless, even though I use EBT to buy everything. Lately its been so bad Ive left the store three times without purchases. Then after being stalked throughout the store menacingly, I left empty handed. An employee took an illegal picture of my friends car so we will be pressing charges. Stop harassing the homeless

So I was doing a Doordash this evening on my motorcycle and I walked in with a basket to complete an order. I walked towards the frozen food section clearly scanning items on my phone to fulfill the order when the older gentleman with the baseball hat that works Fresh Food/Deli chased me down and told me Due to problems at this store motorcyclists are required to take off their helmets. I did as he asked but the kicker is my customer substituted a frozen item with fresh Deli. So I went back to him since he was working the section only for him to tell me I will be with you in a minute, Im busy cleaning right now. And proceeded to ignore me for a good amount of time until a kinder lady was able to assist me.I think what irritates me the most is he somehow had time a few minutes before to take the time to run out of the deli, chase me down and demand I take my helmet off (I ended up grabbing a cart cuz I couldnt hold everything in the basket). I dont appreciate the time I had to spend interacting with him to fulfill a request that seems pretty unreasonable in my opinion.On that note please stop treating customers like criminals. Customers are the reason you are in business. Also to that worker, why take the time over your perceived need to power trip customers and/or us Dashers. If you are so intent on preventing theft please work security at the front. This interaction was pretty frustrating.

I agree with lizbiscuit stop treating customers like criminals. There was an older lady checking me out had assumed I was stealing when I was buying groceries for my client with a hand basket and doing two separate orders. She asked if there was more in my basket and when I showed her she rudely dismissed me when I showed her there was nothing left. I have PTSD and felt I was racially profiled and discriminated against.

Ultimate garbage of a grocery store. I made the mistake going to this store and even worst to self checkout. You might think that cutting the bottom line of the company, they might provide a better service. You are wrong! for every single item you purchase you have to ask for cashiers help as the oversensitive scale doesnt register the correct item that you put on the bagging area. Ultimate garbage of a store. Avoid this go to trader Joes, wholefood or even a gas station store.

I am an independent game developer functioning at weird times of day & night. Out of all the local supermarkets around, I like to shop this supermarket for a few reasons...1) Customer Service.Everyone Ive encountered working here day or night has been super helpful, super friendly, and super knowledgeable about the products they sell. From the liquor isle to the granola section, theyll definitely help you find what youre looking for!2) Friendly shoppers!Even in our post-pandemic universe, its nice to see people loosening up & getting back to being more of a passionate, humane society again. This store has the right vibe. People are friendly and are willing to be social in line while you wait to ring your things up.You know, it sucks that people are quick to judge and complain about what they dont have. I wish more people would take the time to express what they are thankful for.Thank you Safeway. Little tight. Self checkout *very* tight strongly recommend for only one bag worth Its a standard fare of Safeway core product line. Should be able to find everything you expect when going to safeway. One thing I kinda disapprove are the baked cupcakes and cookies right at the entrance. Rough enough shopping with a toddler but then have to fight immediately walking in is hard. I realize they have very limited bakery section but still. Have a heart for families having to shop with whittle ones? Little compassion please?

The prices are pretty steep on a lot of things and honestly weve had issues at this specific Safeway with food & drinks that were expired (such as milk a couple times as well as yogurt) and moldy cheese. My girlfriend also got a very bad case of food poisoning from a rotisserie chicken from here. The only good things I can say is that its close, its fairly clean, and the employees are really nice.Edited on January 122024:We just got another moldy item! Once again ugh 😫 We bought Kings Hawaiian rolls today and after taking like three from the package we noticed the rest were moldy. Not happy.

A little annoyed, I tried to like this store, the staff is nice. But they are always out of stuff. You go to the meat dept to buy a protein and it’s empty. (And the continuing gouging with those prices). So you find something and then as you go through the store, they are out of all the stuff you need for a complete meal. So you go back switch proteins and hope you can find the things you need. None of the signs match up with the price at the register. Lastly you really have to check the dates on everything at this store. I have had to pay for stuff and then throw it out after opening to eat. It used to be implied that if you by something it isn’t two months out of date, I never had to worry about it, the stores used to be concerned enough for their customers not to sell them spoiled product. This location is just a huge 7-11 store, they only have essentials.

This is by far the most polite and accommodating Safeway that Ive been into. A special kudos for Jeffry for his enthusiasm and initiative to take on customers getting checked out as quickly as possible, and being extra helpful with a small request to get some items that I didnt know could be requested.The store is clean, and I was able to come in and out within less than 5 minutes. Staff are incredible. This will the my primary Safeway from now on.

I have lived in this neighborhood 33 years and seen this location change names several times and even sit vacant for long stretches. Safeway has done the best job so far serving us. The selection and quality of the staff is VERY impressive. I hope they stay forever.

Store had most of what we needed, but not everything. It is a smaller store, so understandable. Also, Self-Check-out had no employee watching over the registers. One wasnt working, one had an uncleared transaction on it, and the 3rd register had a customer who needed help with the register.

Smaller Safeway compared to others. Parking lot reflects that. But this place makes up for that with cleanliness, friendlier employees, and items you wont find at other locations. Also I think the produce is better here. I actually prefer coming here than the bigger locations because of these reasons. But if youre in any way the slightest bit claustrophobic, you should go elsewhere. This is a cozy Safeway.

I enjoy shopping at this safeway store when Im on that side of town. Although not as big as other stores it stays very well stocked. Had a bad experience buying catfish fillets which wasnt very fresh, usually everything I buy is on point.Store is always clean and very well organized. Employees there are very people friendly, very professional and courteous.

This Safeway is really small so it does not have a big selection of items compared to other Safeways. its less than a 10 minute drive from my house so I go there. The employees are friendly and they are diligent about cleaning the shopping carts and having antibacterial items for customers to use I go to the store on Hamilton if I want to get everything I need.

And I have lost count of how many times Ive not been able to finish my shopping list due to lack of products. I, for one, will not be shopping there any longer. Its a shame really. This is one of the smaller Safeway with pretty good selection. The bathrooms are immaculate- yes I said immaculate, it’s always clean and nice smelling. The food to go has a couple of chinese food which is good. Customer service is great except for a couple of employees who needs to be more friendly (man if you don’t like your work, quit) This is a nice Safeway.

This has been my regular store for a few years now. The workers are usually really great but lately Ive been having an issue.Twice during golden hour, I was told I was not allowed in and had to leave because Im not a senior. No one informed me that people with compromised immune systems were allowed in, so I left. But I have a number of health issues and I am upset that I was not given the opportunity to make an informed decision and go in at a time dedicated to people like me.I am thankful that workers are trying to keep people safe, but if your job is to tell people whether or not they are allowed in, you need to say all the rules and let people with compromised immune systems know they are welcome.They forced me to go shopping at other stores and less safe times, despite me having health issues.

When this store first opened it was a great neighborhood experience. The hospitality was matched by the efforts of the staff.Unfortunately something happened to this newer location. I am no longer greeted when I go to a checkstand the snarls or yawns are almost comical. There is one woman in particular I would rather stand in a block long line than get in hers. There is one man (Latin) who is a cashier who is always the same happy go lucky with customer service skills that the rest lack.The staff stocking roll their eyes at you or give a sigh of haste if you need to get in their work area. This Safeway really needs to have secret shoppers come in and rate various people. Because unless I’m desperate I won’t go to this location any more.Hospitality people! Go to basics and have a Safeway location customer service class!

This is new small footprint Safeway in Willow Glen with excellent corner location (Minnesota &Bird) and huge parking lot! They totally gutted the previous Fresh&Easy and have new impressive store layout with taller than average shelves to accommodate more merchandise. The deli counter wraps around to the fresh meat counter, to self serve meats to refridgerated items. Im planning to shop more at this store than my current! Restrooms layout was well thought out, you will be impressed! Thanks

Well it was just fine until I fell in the floral department. I filled out a claim form today. You need those black mats with the holes all around the floral department. Today I noticed water dripping all around the whole unit again I guess when people lift flowers out it drips and someone needs to wipe it up constantly. None when I left.Recently I had to leave because...none...zip...no grocery carts.But they are not alone ...no grocery carts at Walmart either. Meat department need training, 1st he used same gloves that he was wearing I dont know for how long to slice the mortadela, 2st weighed wrong, almost 2 pounds for 1.25, cashier said oh they scale is different and its correct even her sclae showed its 1.28 not 2 pounds, i toke it back and they fixed it and cashier wasnt happy for my basic calculation, it was good store for last few years but looks like some management needs good training, it getting wors everyday. Tried to get a sandwich from the Deli, people walking around the area but no one offering to help or calling anyone over to the counter. Decided I was running out of time to wait & grab sushi.....again waiting at the counter for someone to ring me up. I always used to shop at Safeway back in my old neighborhood but this Safeway needs to be avoided!I’ve never come across a more terrible customer service anywhere in the country. Yesterday one cashier refused to scan my digital Safeway card and said they weren’t allowed to! And that was the second time it happened there (never happened at any other Safeway before). No apology or explanation. Goes without saying that you don’t get greeted or being wished a nice day either. They need a briefing on how to treat customers.

This is the closest Safeway to where I live, so we tend to go here on average twice a week. Its interesting to see a compressed ale out of Safeway, I like all the employees. In regards to Fresh Food their chicken is always a guessing game, some nights its really good others its bad and dried out. Theres sushi tends to stay pretty safe in the tuna and salmon, on a rare occasion you might see some unagi.

I wish they had waited to open until they finished stocking the shelves or they stocked them at night. I couldnt get through the isles with a cart as there were boxes everywhere. They also didnt have any of the normal items I buy at a regular larger safeway. They are more specific items that arent super common but I regularly bought at another safeway. I was hoping this would be my go to location but I guess it will just be a last minute grocery store. Kinda disappointed.

Saturday 02/28/2020, 11:15am. Shopping for grocery and baby food. The manager (middle aged white woman, at the self checkout area) kept following me and pointedly staring at me making me uncomfortable. I pointed this out to the cashier - he said nothing. After payment, I went over to her and asked her if there was a problem, she turned hostile and turned away.I understand there are covert ways to watch shoppers to prevent shoplifting, please use those. And especially when shoppers are not caucasian, its especially important to appear equitable and not racially targeting shoppers to follow.I mean the shop was full of shoppers, yet she singles me out and pointedly carried on to passively be an aggressor.

This retail location has been several different grocery stores over the years. way back an alphabeta then lucky then Albertsons a brief period as a whole foods knockoff and now a Safeway. its in willow glen so an exclusive neighborhood but the space is old and small and it shows. remodeled to the extent possible but lacking features newer and larger stores have.also starting to miss covering the details so soon after opening. bathrooms are only average (for a Safeway) with an amusing amount of graffiti.

This Safeway has made its name around from good old Luckys to Albertsons and to Fresh and easy regardless of what the name is, it always has been satisfying for the neighborhood as well as employing locals . Parking lot seems to get smaller as more bussiness fill up the plaza, but ya can always find a spot to park. Butchers are knowledgable in cuts and service, sandwich station by entrance to flowers opposite side. TO THIS DATE, Safeway remains the same, true to their customers.

They regularly run out of paper...at a time when California is moving away from them, they have embraced and promote them....in acceptable.Lack of tech, no Apple Pay and the slowest chip readers...Safeway continues to fall far behind all of retail with antiquated payment tech... this new store does nothing to help people get out faster and the lines...prove it.

I ride a bicycle and Ive seen bicycles tampered with locked up in front of places and Ive seen bicycles robbed Ive seen people just turned some screws and it mess up the brakes or whatever and I just cant see you locking my bike up anymore theres not enough people watching.😘 This particular Safeway has some room and they Ive talked to several people employees and customers. other than its awkward see somebody walking the bike through its approximately 2 by almost same size as they shopping cart but it has two wheels, I use it also as aWalker, kind-of. I will share my progress with the establishments that I go to over the the security of the bike and its also like a walker for me and it does relieves my leg pains. I will also find places to stop and sit and meditate or look at plants and animals. It is neat to be on a bike. And helmets are very safe gear including gloves also. Thomas Martin Danmsure!
