Big store, great selection, helpful staff, but understaffed at the front of the store. I was in line at the only open checkout. The checker was trying to help a customer get the app to work. She called for a backup. The Assistant Manager lady came out from her lair, clearly not happy to be called. She said not one word to me, THREW my groceries down the belt as I bagged them, and punctured my bread bag with her long ugly fake nail! Which I did not discover until I got home. I will never go back to that store. (Im sure you remember doing that, Assistant Manager.)

This Safeway very clean and shelves organized and well stocked however on a sunday afternoon when the store is really busy they only had two clerks working on the checkout lines and the lines were really really long and a long wait

I like the lady( Jenana), who helps self- checkout customer. She is always welcoming and ready to help the customers. She is the only one who is very friendly in the entire store. Very good place for all kinds of breads. The app gives sometimes free items for members. We have to always wait at the customer service for someone to come and help us. Though they have many checkout counters they open only one. If you have one or two items to checkout its better to use self checkout. It will be little difficult to checkout the items with 50% off as you need to enter the code for it at self checkout. Edit(12/2023): Customer service is open until 8pm. But theyre closing before that(we were there at 7.45pm and they already closed it)

This one is star is for the miserable jerk who works at the Starbucks his customer service is completely atrocious Hes so lazy and uncapable not to mention rude.Truley I pity him hes so unhappy yet hes remains odOther than that this is regular Safeway I often order ahead its always a smooth process everyone is great. Their staff are not very helpful, Ive been to their flower shops several times this month as I have more than 3 Fam members with birthdays in this month and each time I went and asked for assistance no one ever showed up, this third time I was there was definitely my last.Went back due to a last minute request, a birthday cake my kid wanted tres leches flavor cake with fresh strawberries with vanilla custard filling, bakery atendant said it could not be done because the cake would fall apart as tres leches is generally super soaked, however recipes can be modified and I know this was possible so I turbed to my friend instead who baked me the cake bigger and better!

I always come to this Safeway for all my grocery and supply needs. The produce always seems pretty fresh which isnt the case for some other grocery chains. There is also always a lot of checkout lanes open so it doesnt take too long to get through the lines.

NOT open late. They claim to be open until 2am but I’ve been here upwards of 7 times over the last few months between 11pm and 1:30 am and they’ve been closed every single time. I asked in person and staff assured me that they didn’t close until 2am. Update your hours if you’re going to consistently close early.

I used to eat at safeway almost everyday as a single😏, this was my first time at this store.First I stop because (olyns) recycling machine its great....Then I went to food court area..They have a great meal.whit chicken to salads and six pack of sodas..The lady was so kind and helpful..Excellent coustumer service..then I went to the register. In my way there I just saw a special about cookies I just point my phone to the code and ready..The cashier was absolutely fantastic..And the food its great and fresh...GREAT EXPERIENCE EVER THNX AGAIN.

This is a good sized Safeway store which is modern and usually it takes little time to get your groceries. Three deli team in particular is always great. Hana is very customer focused as are her team members. Keep is the good work!

Always a busy place, most products you can find, lots of fresh produce and friendly staff. There is an array of vending machines up front ie, lottery, coin changer, bottle recycling and a customer service desk.

They closed the door before 6:50pm on Christmas eve when they said close at 7pm.There were like 5 groups of people just needed to grab one or two things only which wont take more than 5 minutes! We complained but they refused to open the door. They just want to go home early. SUCK!

This is our go-to grocery shop for many years. Everything is great except for two things. One is the Butcher Block department can be frustrating at times because often its unsupervised. You can see workers washing dishes in the back but they dont turn their heads back. So you just stand there for 10 minutes shouting and waving. Second is in the womans health department they have a stand thats closed and you need to press a button to call a person. Several times we pressed and waited over 10 minutes and no one showed up. Also very frustrating. P.S. - I was able to type up this review while waiting at the Butcher Block because no one is here now.

Worst customer service. The employees are very rude. If you are in line to be helped at the meat counter dont even bother to be in line. I shop at this market because it is convenient. Im done I will go the extra mile out of my way to have better customer service.

I had an unpleasant encounter with Kathy, a worker at the bakery. While I used to enjoy shopping at this Safeway, Kathys unprofessionalism has left me feeling hesitant to return. Despite her initial friendly demeanor, when I inquired about a dessert that was not immediately available, I overheard Kathy complaining about me as she went to check in the back. Her comments were inappropriate and made me feel uncomfortable. As a customer, I did not appreciate her lack of customer service, and I felt like a burden to her. Typically, I try to avoid asking for assistance and prefer to find items myself, but in this instance, I needed help. Fortunately, there were more in the back, but Kathys behavior detracted from what could have been a positive shopping experience.

This Safeway was literally the biggest Safeway Ive ever seen in my whole entire life! No exaggeration at all! My jaw dropped and I was oohhhing and aawwwing as soon as I stepped in the door! 😯👀😲 I only went for one thing, and was completely overwhelmed with the sheer size of this place, that I forgot the whole mission, and the fact that what I had went there for was buy one get one free; but managed to find over a hundred dollars worth of other stuff! Due to forgetting the other half of the buy one get one free special, I ended up having to go back a few days later, and one of the store managers honored the sale and gave me the missing item! 👏🏽 Then I unintentionally bought some more things! ☺

We had a good Chinese lunch here, jalapeño chicken, chow-fan and mandarin chicken. It was awesome for quick meal before going back to work. Then I filled some gas into my car which it is cheaper than anywhere else.

I have a “meh” relationship with this place. Sometimes it’s great with fantastic sales and stock, and sometimes they’re out of all the specific things I need. Parking lot is oddly shaped and always full with trash everywhere, but you can usually get a nice cashier with semi quick checkout. It’s not a store I seek out, but I’m also not avoiding it.

I came in late, on 1/10/23, a young man helped me (insisted) on scanning my items, in between whispering with co workers, keeping a close eye on me? Ineractions were weirdly, condescending? Good service, there is Starbucks and a place that makes artisan sandwiches - handy, I ate breakfast and then did my shopping. The place also has farmacy inside with a small choice of vitamins.I did not find all the vegan products I use, but I did find some good stuff e.g. whole rice ready for microwave etc. I did not yet scan the entire place though.I will definitely return.

Its Safeway... Whats not to like. They have a selection. I particularly like the cart collection people working. Pretty quick to grab your cart or notice you looking around for a cart corner to park your cart. Never had any issues with any of the staff inside the store also. All pretty alert and attentive. 👌🏽

24 hours! Daytime shopping is excellent. Usually well stocked. Friendly service. Good parking! Has multiple fun car double carts for people with kids. Docked a star for evening shopping. 24 hour location, but starts restock at 9pm. Couldnt get around the store well, multiple aisles blocked to the point I couldnt fit my body through, let alone a cart.

A young, female cashier, that helped me today was nice/polite but she definitely needs training on how to bag groceries properly. She placed my bananas that were about 99% free of any bruises, on the bottom of my bag and then placed a heavy tray of frozen lasagna and other heavy items on top of my bananas. I did not notice until after I left the Safeway Store #3241. I was upset because I had spent some time trying to pick bananas with the least amount of bruising and then due to her carelessness, the bananas were bruised afterward. She also placed bottles and odd shaped items on the bottom of another bag and then haphazardly placed boxed frozen dinners on top in a jumbled manner. To maximize space, It makes more sense to stack the boxes of food neatly on the bottom of the bag and then place the round and odd shaped items on top. I usually enjoy shopping at Safeway on 950 W. Hamilton Av, Campbell, Ca, 95008, but today it was disappointing especially when Im spending my hard-earned money at Safeway on food that was originally in good condition and then the food gets damaged by improper handling/bagging by the cashier.

Store is spacious, clean and stocked as well as it can be. Kennia, Drew and Sarah&Salvatore are very helpful and efficient. Rita and Dennis are wonderful slicing my meat and cheese in the deli.A lot of good deals, great gift card selection, greeting cards and floral designs.Starbucks is conveniently located in the store where Kali is so nice and quick to serve coffee.The bakery has a variety of cake slices, breads, brownies, etc that are so yummy. The fresh strawberry filled white sheet cake is delicious too.A one stop grocery place.

This Safeway is one of the nicest around.Big and clean with a great selection.This location has a bakery, deli, pharmacy, and floral department. There is an on site butcher and an in-store Starbucks and lounge area as well.The produce, bakery and deli are always fresh. Customer service is Excellent.Parking is abundant and there is also a large Safeway fueling gas station on the opposite end of the parking lot.

This Safeway is laid out completely different from all the other stores...and it just doesnt flow at all. The vibe there is funky...its pretty busy there, and the checkers are not really trying to get you out of there quickly. It is limited in what it carries, and it isnt stocked well. I wasnt really able to get what I wanted cuz they only had part of the things I needed. Its just not like the Stevens Creek and Lawrence Expressway store...that store is awesome. I miss shopping there.

Nice newer store. Well organized. Prices are not that great unless it is on special. But the worst part is it is excruciatingly difficult to check out. Every time I go there long lines clogging the checkout. Last time I went all self-checkout computers went down while I was in line. Employees just kept putting paper bags over the monitors.

We have been here 3 times to get curbside pickup and each time we had to return because we were missing from 3 to 10 items that we had ordered and paid for. Also, we requested No Substitution on many items but were substituted anyway. $6.49 for Asian Celery when we ordered regular celery! Come on man!!! The young man in the deli department helped my wife and I find an item in the store that other store employees thought that Safeway wasnt carrying at this time. This is one of Safeways nicer markets. Open till 1am, its convenient for most anyone. It has a fantastic selection of quality produce, an onsite butcher, nice selection of fish, and a wide array of general groceries and home sundries. They also have a competitively priced gas station. Cant even give 1 star,and I shop this store all the time.I bought chicken tenders at in store counter granted it was $5.00 fri.this past wk.Iwas having a couple of people so I bought several lbs. When I went to serve ( 20 min.later) they were hard so much batting and so dry the people couldnt eat them.I had to put together a meat with the salads and sides I was serving.I will never buy them again there.Not to mention I had to tell them from Safeway on Hamilton in Campbell.I am hoping some one callsl me back or at least e-mails me. I was very pleased with Safeway employees who helped find certain items. Especially, at the meat dept the employees very pleasant and helpful. They were courteous and friendly I appreciate they assisted me accordingly.I as a customer am very concerned about what Wal-Marts mass lay off which I think greed beyond comprehension so I am boycotting Wal-Mart! This place doesnt really carry what I want anymore and when I asked him to order it they told me they would but then it turned out that they decided not to and didnt bother to tell me. The night manager here is rather surly and unhelpful in fact I think she should be fired immediately or at least sent back for retraining.The store has not improved at all. In fact its actually managed to get worse. You go to the deli counter to get help and the employees just sit there and stare at you and ignore you. This paricular Safeway (Hamilton Ave) has gone seriously downhill over the last year. Stocking in all key areas (produce, meats, dairy & eggs) has become horrible. Literally every week they come up short on 30 to 50% of items that are being advertised. In a recent visit looking for an advertised special on cage free eggs I came across a completely vacant egg display with about 1/2 dozen customers all wondering what the heck was going on. I got a senior store rep ( looked like the overall store manager ) and asked for help. He flat out said sorry, I dont have anyone to help you right now. Not one to be shy about pressing, I did. He denied providing any help again, leaving an aisle full of customers with looks of confusion. I hate writing reviews but its time this place started getting help to run right. Note: I have talked to MANY line level employees in all the areas I mentioned above and every one tells me they order what they need but that management and the warehouse routinely screw them. That leaves them making promises to customers that they have zero ability to ensure are kept.

My experience at this location has been good up until now. Today I was using the restroom and I was walked in on. You now have to punch in a code to get into the restroom. But what really is unsettling is the new keypad on the bathroom and how they make it look like its secure but its deceiving and wrong and for the women and girls using the restroom make sure you have someone you know on the outside of the door waiting for you. After I was walked in on I finished up washed my hands and went out I seen the Starbucks employee behind the counter and asked him about the bathroom locks and what he told me I couldnt believe. Ok if you havent seen the keypad on the bathroom door it looks nothing different from other keypads and on the inside of the bathroom door on the keypad there is a rubber black button on top of the keypad that says press for lock so I did but nothing happened no noise of any lock engaging or sound at all but there is a reason for this. The Starbucks employee told me that its not even a lock its just there to make it look like a lock but there is no lock he says there is only a red light that flashes on the outside of the keypad letting the person know that there is someone occupying the restroom, but customers dont know this and there is no posting on the wall letting customers know about the flashing red light and what it means. But thats not it, it gets worse so say your using the restroom and a customer comes in the store and asks an employee for the bathroom code that customer can punch in the code and open the door even when you are in there, because there is no lock on the door that rubber button that says press for lock is only for show. So if you have the code you can just punch it in and walk in regardless if anyone is in there. This is not ok at all and females be careful because who knows how many people have the restroom code or if there are people watching and waiting for someone to go use the restroom and then they can go walk in right after. SAFEWAY I cant believe you are ok with this whats the reason for changing locks anyway the other locks actually locked..

Cashier lines are always waaaay too long and a lot more could be done to improve them and open up extra lanes to get lots of customers out more quickly. The gas station machines need a lot of work as well and are slow if they happen to work so you can take advantage of your Safeway gas points. Lines are confusing when they get too long as you need to circle around the back parking lot by the Consignment store to line up and you may be forced to parallel park or use a pump with the hose on the opposite side of where you gas tank is located even though you can stretch the hoses but a bit tougher for an SUV. If not that then workers are stocking up or doing inventory. (This is between 9am and noon on weekends.) There are several Safeways and even more grocery stores to choose from in the Campbell area but I usually find myself at this location if I need groceries. As a newer development I think its generally cleaner and more organized them some of the other locations. Prices are comparable to any other big chain grocery store and there is a lot of floor space allowing for a a good selection of most common items.
