The testing center and at-home test were easy to navigate. This was my first time taking the in-person test with a virtual instructor and she was amazing! I received great customer service leading up to the in-person portion and successfully completed my course. After ten years of going to take the class and rest in person, I prefer this option and would recommend it to anyone needing their CPR and AED certification.

I thought at first I was going to have a tough time but this CPR course was my favorite of all time. The voice monitor on computer would have the perfect directions to do everything on the adult and infant CPR and if you needed assistance there is always a person that you could get on the phone quickly. The help were so helpful and made everything at ease. Recommend this course or group to everyone. I am going to give this place the best rating ever and will continue to use them. 😊 Thanks

Quick and easy. The program doesn’t let you cut corners, but feedback of program is constructive and allows you to move efficiently through class even if you make mistake. I had a late start to my session and was still out well before my hour was up. The instructions to enter are accurate and use of the space is easy. I will say it is SUPER hot in that room so turn on fan.

Overall, the experience of taking the coursework and completing the mega code online and then presenting to the test center for Automated Mannequin assisted Chest compressions and bag Valve mask breaths worked out great. The whole situation was very convenient and an excellent, especially since I Arranged it all at the last minute.The instructions on entering the building and test center unit were clear. Only recommendation for additional support would be to send along a few pictures with the orientation email so that people have a visual idea of the entry and space. This is especially helpful when people are a bit nervous coming in to taking an exam.Overall, everything was great, and I would definitely recertify this way again!

Overall I had a great experience. I liked the online course because it continued to review questions I missed during the assessment until I had a better understanding of the material. The in-person exam was very straightforward. I like the feedback provided by the computer and the videos provided ahead of time in preparation for the test. I do wish they had some sort of flow chart summarizing the steps of CPR/BLS for adults, children and infants, but I was able to find one on google. It was also easy and quick to get my electronic pocket cards and CE certificate.

Very impressed. First time I took a CPR class like this - part at home then the practical in a classroom on the computer there. It was great. It had been about 4 years since I took the class and was surprised that a few things changed and the rest was a good refresher. It was easy to sign up and complete the class. The classroom was set up well and easy to find. The computer feedback during the practical was helpful (although a little annoying LOL!). Would definitely recommend.

It was mostly seamless if you read the email and watch the videos. I also appreciated the demonstration videos available before testing since no instructor was there. Helped me feel confident and also be able to demonstrate exactly what was being asked of me. One thing that could be better is the price.

The equipment in the room is professional. However the front door is difficult to open, even t with the code. It didnt work for me. I was lucky that there was a old lady waiting outside and she called someone to open the door for her and me. It is the part that needs to be improved. Anything else is good.

My instructor Amor was amazing. She met with me virtually but was actually very thorough & patient & kind. I learned more from this training than other trainings that Ive taken in person with a live instructor. She gave me great feedback on how I could improve my technique. The only downside is it was hard to get through the door. But thankfully she called & helped me. It was also difficult to put the key back into the lockbox. The lockbox was very hard to close. But outside of these issues with the door entry the program is excellent.

I was skeptical at first hoping that I didn’t get tricked when I read there was no instructor but, a computer guided lesson. My skepticism continued when I arrived to let myself in and seen the mannequin on the tables. After I logged in my anxiety became less and I thought to myself this is cool. Until I couldn’t get a rise and fall of chest with the ambu bag. I called customer service and the as the phone rang many times the feeling of being tricked returned. Then I heard a voice on the other line who troubleshoot the problem with me and then after I hung up called me on the ring camera to support me as I completed the lesson. This was a cool experience and I felt a real sense of what it would be like because the computer was correcting my errors so that I could ensure it was done right.

Dont forget to arrive before completing your online courses. There is parking available on site in front of the entrance. You enter through the pagoda and use the security codes that are emailed to you to enter. The room for testing is the first door on the left. Its also behind a locked door that is sound-proof. You log onto the computer with your login you used for the online courses. The manikin worked well and I experienced no difficulties. Both the baby manikin and the adult manikin worked well. I was able to complete the BLS and the ACLS assessment in 30 min. You are allowed several tries per each pass.

This center is amazing! Its easier and clear how to get into the space. Its a small room and you are the only one inside so it feels COVID safe. Gloves and hand sanitizer are available (and gloves required). The space itself is in the same complex as CMTs so the energy is very calm and it smells amazing. I did feel a bit bad about doing really loud CPR on the manikin when people were coming in for massage 😂

I had a terrible experience with this course. And I guess, partly this was my mistake for not realizing it was a DIY kind of experience. No one was there to help, even though there was a camera looking and listening. The room was cold and no heating. The test was long, difficult and convoluted. Children and adults and chocking were all mixed together without a clear separation by subject, which was irritating at best. This long test had to be taken standing up. The whole thing was so uncomfortable, and by the way there is no bathroom. At one point I had to leave and find a bathroom to pee. But the best was yet to come. The skill test was the worst. If you tilted the mannikins head just a little off the air would not go in - failed! Take it again and a failed again. Ive performed CPR for real in real people. I call this poor design. This was insulting. I finally just called the number and asked for a refund because I just didnt see any point in continuing with the nonsense. Im looking for a course where there still real people...The only good thing was they actually gave me a partial refund.

The process of getting my BLS and ACLS certification was extremely easy. The online portion went well and was very interactive. The in-person skills portion of the class was also easy to navigate using the smart mannequin. I would recommend this class if you need to get a new CPR/ACLS/BLS certification.

A couple of things.1. The confirmation email for the skills part of the testing has like 4 different door codes listed (two in the paragraph and additional ones at the end. I thankfully had trouble last time with the code so wrote them ALL down and was able to enter the building successfully.2. The room for the skills testing was HOT. Like 80 something.3. The lady just prior to my time had the computer malfunction and she ended up having to call the # for help, which apparently was challenging (the person that answered couldnt see into the skills room and there was a baby crying in the background of the call). She finished her skills test literally at 10, the time my time slot began.4. My computer experience was fine. I finished in 10m or so.5. The convenience of this location cannot be beat.Again, they need to update their email with the 4+ door codes, the room was blazing hot but will keep coming here.

I personally thought working with a VAM was easier as opposed to working in a class with an instructor. I was able to stop and go at my own pace. It was a great experience for renewing my certification. Fast and easy. I will definitely be coming back for my renewal.

It was very easy to go through the whole experience. Watching the videos ahead of arriving at the skills test really helped. The immediate feedback you het while taking the test was very useful. I was able to take mine while my spouse took theirs in the adjacent room. We were both done within a 1/2 hour. Also appreciated the bathroom use and hand sanitizer! 🤩

I thought this was a very efficient and effective way to renew my bls cpr certificate. I prepped ahead of time and watched the videos as instructed. I completed the skills test in about 15 minutes. I would highly recommended if you are more independent and don’t need a lot of instruction. The computer guides you through the assessment and it gives feedback. Highly recommend.

First time coming here and doing a skills test without an instructor. First time so I think I was nervous, I was confused with the doors even though I read the instructions beforehand. During ventilation and it wouldnt register. Called their help number and the person who answered was very nice she asked if I made sure the head was tilted all the way back. So I pushed the head back down and up all the way like I was trying to rip its head off...that worked 😂. Great service they answer the phone in a few rings, nice clean room, easy parking and location. Ill use it again in the future.

Easy access to building. All the training material that is sent prior to scheduled training was accurate and I felt prepared to complete the hands on part of obtaining my BLS. Training room is clean and accessing manikins was easy. Pediatric manakin was really hard to get a good seal, but I eventually got things to work. Overall a great experience beats being in a room with others not really knowing if you are getting the depth and respiration completely correctly. The computer gives you immediate feedback, “ to slow, to fast, not releasing between compressions etc. Make sure you buy the $10.00 rescheduling fee, because if you cancel it will cost you $30.00 each time to reschedule!

Customer service is fast and very helpful. The convenience of going to a location at 7am helps a lot because I work at 9 and get off really late. The computer module is very advanced and I’ve learned so much. I’ll be back next time to do another certification and I will recommend it to everyone I know that has to renew their cpr certification or that needs a certification.

Abysmal experience. My goal is to be prepared to rescue my children, or other children, if they ever needed it, so I studied hard and focused on the online materials. I felt very prepared for the classroom portion and test. Honestly now I less confident in my preparation. Because this sketchy classroom experience made me lose trust in whether organizations providing the training know what theyre doing. (If it seems clear they dont know what theyre doing, and the whole point is for them to teach you what to do, how else can you feel?)The AED was missing several fundamental pieces (including pads and wires), it didnt power on, and the instructor said just dont worry about that, and pretend that the pieces are there and the AED powered on. Pretend that its doing what its supposed to do.The instructor stopped me from logging into the computer and I never got any feedback whatsoever from computer or the CPR dummies regarding my compression levels, breath pressure, timing, etc. Just guesstimates from the instructor on the other end of the zoom call about what she could make out over the zoom video.Zero practice or testing of any sort re: 2-person partner CPR/handing off between myself and the computer or another student.3/4 of the way through my allotted test appointment timeslot, in the middle of my test, someone else (another customer?) came into the room, seemed really annoyed, interrupted the test and asked my instructor how long I was going to be there and said she didnt want me interfering with the time she had to take her test.My wife took a CPR/AED course a year ago and so many of the fundamental pieces of equipment, feedback, and entire skills to be tested that she experienced were skipped here.This is worse than giving the exam completely virtually. If I were reviewing a pizza joint or a laundromat here, I wouldnt spend so much time on a writeup. But the stakes here are life and death. Lives may well be lost due to this companys failure to provide the core service paid for.Bottom line: If you want to prepare yourself to provide assistance in an emergency or to provide basic CPR, do not do business with Safety Training Seminars. Go somewhere else.

Self paced study, liked that the course evaluates knowledge and adjusts the course accordingly. Skill demonstration was physically challenging! Had to demonstrate the compressions a number of times and got a real work out. Im short, would have liked a step stool to assist during adult compressions. also, the orientation of the baby dummy on the bed made it difficult to preform the two handed compressions/2 rescuer CPR. I would definitely recommend this to colleagues.

You will be unable to update your account info (computer glitches) Then you must wait to receive the 3rd email that contains the link to the online class. There is no way to know, when you will get this. My skill check is tomorrow at noon. I have a lot to do, but Im free tonight. I would like to spend my evening doing the test. As background I am a emergency medicine doctor and spent 6 years as an EMT.Terrible experience. The dummy doesn’t work well, and the Adult BVM is too small to deliver an actual breath. I did not use the pediatric one. I also watched the videos as recommended but they overall did not help as the mannequin did not work.Save yourself the time and stress and just do a different ACLS/BLS recertification.

I was not a huge fan of this ordeal. It was very expensive, and I was not told I could complete the test portion previous to the appointment for the skills test. Its a little room the size of a closet, 1 testing station (no gloves in my size and it was a bit dirty and smelled in there). It took a long time to go through the test questions, and I had to come back because there was another appointment immediately after my time slot. This was very inconvenient for me, and if they had more than just 1 testing station in the closet room, I wouldnt have had to come back. Ill be going somewhere else next time and will advise against people I know going here.

Great experience, the online portion look no more then 2 hrs and the hands on skills test was less then 30 mins.The only thing downside was the position of the baby. It was hard doing the chest compression with 2 thumbs because the computer stand was in the way.

Truth be told, this was the first time I did the virtual BLS skills testing and I was very nervous about it. The instructions were VERY clear and concise and the follow-up as the appt approached was great! It was very smooth and went as well as it could have. Great idea to encourage those taking the skills test to watch the videos beforehand. It really was helpful! I was dreading today, not knowing how it would all go without an in-person instructor, but it was a really great experience and I actually feel more confident about my CPR skills having done it this way. Thank you for the attention to detail for those of us that are older and creatures of habit (and like to do things the old school way). It made it so much less daunting!

I like how he had us practice a scenario multiple times, which helped me get used to doing the compressions and breaths properly. First off, they didnt send me the code by text to get into the room to test. Then, when I called to get code, the person on the phone didnt listen to me when I said I was in front of the room and kept giving me the code to the building. But before I figured that out, she tried to give me the key lockbox code to just use the key to get in, but those codes didnt work either.For the actual testing program, give time to USE the mannequins while looking at your rate and depth and breaths on the screen so you can get a feel for it. Ive been a nurse for over 30 years and the mannequins feel nothing like doing CPR on a real human. Needs a practice phase.Then, at the end, it says I cant claim CEUs until I evaluate the class, but, as seen in the pic, it says it was already done.Make finishing-the-program- instructions more clear.On a good note, it only took me about 20 minutes.But fix the above stuff-super frustrating. And put the signs on the wall when you walk in, so you can see them. All the signage is on the wall behind you and I didnt see it until after I was done.

It is by far the best and most efficient/fastest way to complete testing and I would never go back to a classroom setting. I highly recommend this! Overall, I was very impressed with the course. The online communication was pertinent and made me think through how I answered the questions. I found the extra review sections very informative and helpful. Taking the skills portion with the computer assisted mannequin was initially intimidating, but I quickly recovered from that. The instructions were clear and concise. I felt the feedback provided during my compressions and ventilations was extremely valuable and helped me improve both of those much more than if I had taken the test in a regular classroom. Just know that no one will be there. I had to use the emergency method of getting in, but it worked in the end. Ive dont CPR with an instructor before, so I was able to complete the session relatively quickly, but I could see how it could be confusing, and they didnt answer my phone call right away. I would say if youre confused, try to schedule a time between 9-5 so it would be more likely that they would answer a phone call with any questions. Other than that I actually quite liked it. You have a room all to yourself and it locks, so its covid safe and safe in general. Parking was easy and free. Instructions are clear and all necessary equipment is provided.

I prefer to go to an in person class and not only have a computer there when taking the skills section. I had a lot of trouble with the mask on manikin and just needed some pointers on technique that couldn’t be handled when I called for remote help. I finally had to reschedule the skills section and was given a class with an in person instructor. She was great and I quickly passed the skills section. So for me,unless I am given an in person instructor for the skills section I would not take this class. On the plus side the first on line didactic section was convenient and very ‘doable’.

I was in room A & the door got stuck… I tried multiple times to pull it open & it wasn’t budging so I called the office & whoever answered didn’t really seem to care, they weren’t really talking and had long pauses and wasn’t giving me an answer on what to do. I thought I was going to have to call the fire department or something to come open the door… I tried one more time & finally got it to open. Seems like the top of the door stuck itself to the frame. They need to send study materials for that online exam. In a CPR class you typically are given info by a teacher then tested on it. In this online exam they’re just expecting to know everything specifically to AHA’s ranges/rates. Ratios, ranges and rates tend to differ slightly depending on organization. Roughly 18 years after my previous BLS certification expired, I was prompted by my job search to once again seek out certification. Safety Training Seminars offered a robust and comprehensive online coursework program which was very detailed, allowed a high degree of customization to cater to your familiarity with the material and experience level, and engaged in constant feedback and reinforcement of the material to ensure that, when the coursework was complete, I felt completely confident and knew the material very well going into the skills assessment. In my first attempt, I got distracted by the voice prompts in- between the skills and missed some compressions, but in subsequent ones, I learnt to be articulate in listening and performing which helped me to pass.It is a fair and well organized process.My only disappointment is in the timing of the online pre-skill class. It would be more helpful if the calculation of the 4-hour ACLS class is well-explained. This will help participants to plan accordingly. Personally I scheduled 4 - 5 hours for it due to my tight schedule but spent almost 24 hours on it.My advice is for participants to include the reschedule insurance fee in their initial registration fee. That was super-helpful in rescheduling my skill testing multiple times without additional payments.Other than the timing of the pre-test class, everything was okay. I definitely prefer the in person hands on portion. I spent more energy trying to familiarize myself with the way that the computer is giving me feedback versus working on my skills. In real life I will not provide CPR while standing. I do not feel like I got a good skills refresher. The refresher is the most valuable component of CPR renewal. In real life I will never use a BVM. Not being able to use the mask is another take away from providing real life high-quality CPR in the field. The course was quick and easy. But at the same time is wildly overpriced for something that is completely automated.

I’ve been a nurse for the last 13 years and this was the first time I took a BLS/ACLS class like this, as far as the in person-no instructor-voice assisted mannequin (VAM) check off. I’ve been through programs that provide pre-class online homework/testing, but this course I have mixed emotions. Let’s start with the positive- touched up on things that most programs don’t really go into depth, therefore I felt like I was being educated on something new. The BLS online portion spent a lot of time on infant/pediatric, rather than adult, which most programs focus on adult at length (as an RN, I’ve only worked with adults). In addition, it gave you feedback on your strengths/weaknesses and encourages you to judge yourself in how well you know areas of content. I also liked the fact that the online course is not a standard test, but learning and questions throughout, that if you miss something, it’ll ask you the exact same question later on in the learning to make sure you understood it from the previous content. Since there is no instructor, there are so many time slots and availability 7 days a week which fit my schedule; basically can fit anyones schedule. Lastly, the in person check off for both BLS/ACLS, was so easy it LITERALLY was me by myself with a mannequin/laptop, doing chest compressions and rescue breaths with a BVM+AMBU; no drugs or anything else, no mega code, just compressions and bagging again for both BLS/ACLS! I scheduled myself for 1000-1100 for BLS, and 1100-1200 for ACLS; I was out of there by 1025 being done with both BLS/ACLS!The only issue that I didn’t like too much was the fact of the online course saying you have a certain time left, but if you change your level of understanding of the content and you miss questions, I noticed there was minutes added to the overall time…but again, it’s because the content for me, touched up on things that went into depth that other programs don’t.Conclusion, I will come back and support this women owned/ran program, it’s awesome!

I feel bad for leaving a bad review for this women owed business. Online class is okay but using the computer assisted mannequin is horrible. One can become injured trying to pass this compression computer assisted cpr class. After using this company for 12 years, I will not be coming back. Bring the live instructor back please.

Very convenient to take the written test/course on line and be able to identify knowledge gaps. The live test was convenient, but also difficult but the feedback received from the manequin/computer interface was valuable and definitely contributed to better technique.

Update: the person who responded to this didnt even read my review properly. I said the compressions were defective, not the breaths.The manikin at this location does not function properly. It was impossible to pass because it would not register my compressions. This is my 7th time getting BLS. I called for help and the person on the phone was not helpful. Restarting the computer did not fix the issue. I walked out of this place frustrated and drenched in sweat. I suggest the owners go in and try to pass the test using the same manikin.

Convenient and organized. I enjoyed taking the class in the comfort of my own home and coming in to complete my skills training which did not take long at all. I did my ACLS and renewed my BLS and was able to take them back to back. Straight forward and easy directions to follow. Will definitely come back when I need to renew.

My BLS renewal experience was simple & straightforward with Safety Training Seminars.Once you register as a BLS renewal online, the online step by step instructions were easy to follow, even down to codes used to enter the facility along with parking instructions. Make certain to complete your online course prior to taking your in person test on the adult & infant CPR manikins. The new format utilizing a laptop computer as a secondary responder partner was very different and surprising to me. New & BLS renewals must thoroughly read each segment illustrating your proficiency on each manikin. My first time taking the online course! I loved it. The practicum was so smooth and organized. There was even free parking! Room was very clean, and the directions to complete the course were excellent! Most amazing part: I left my Apple iwatch in the classroom when I was performing compressions on the mannikin, I didnt realize it till 2 days later, and my watch was still there! The staff was extremely helpful and helped me to retrieve my watch, and they even locked it up for me! Thank you Safety Training Seminars! You guys are the BEST!
