Suite was super clean and everything was well organized. The program guides you through everything which is very helpful. I liked that your not feeling rushed because its just use you and the computer. You can also retry as many times.

Thorough course that is conveniently done at home. In person skills portion is a quick and efficient way to demonstrate ability to correctly perform CPR. I took the ACLS course which can take significantly longer that the 2-4 hrs noted in the confirmation email. I had to reschedule my in-person skills portion because I assumed the course wouldn’t take longer than the four hours.

Getting my BLS certification was smooth with this provider. I completed the online theory portion between the night before and the morning of my scheduled skills testing. Once at the skills testing site, access to the testing equipment was an interesting and painless process, and plenty of directional information was put up onto the walls of the room. All supplies were plentifully available. I would recommend this provider to peers in localities where their testing facilities are accessible.

Was really easy and quick. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the computerized system for hands on, but was more effective than a large class with one instructor. You get real time feedback on your technique. I really liked it and it was so convenient. I highly recommend them and do all my renewal last with them.

It was my first time taking this certification course via online. I think all went smoothly. I received all the material that I needed and instructions for the on-hands test. Everything worked fine and the room was clean. I felt safe. I had a question and I called the office and they answered the phone which was super helpful at that moment. I personally really like taking the course in person with other people but given schedules and Covid, doing the class online is doable and I would recommend it. Thank you.

Easy online review, convenient location. The actual hands on experience was very difficult. Took me 3 times to pass the adult to responder cpr. Manikin and sequence of cpr was tricky. It was a work out for sure. Infant cpr and resuscitation was a breeze.

This class option was so perfect for me - online education with in person skills - but through computer feedback. It was so helpful to get the depth and rhythm feedback from the computerized manikin! It was super easy to follow the directions and I love that it was on my own time and solo! Would definitely recommend this company and this process!

This was the first time I took the course this way. It will be the last. I prefer in person. It took me multiple attempts to pass on all the modules. On the infant manikin, there was something wrong with the connection between the computer and manikin. I didn’t think I would ever pass the models with the infant. My fingers and hands were hurting it too so long to pass it. I felt like it was creepy to be in a room by myself with someone watching me through a video camera. When I came out of the room it was dark outside. I was relieved I was able to park right in front. The online portion was also very strange. After answering the question, you have to choose how confident your are in your answer. After a period of time if your confidence level is higher and you get questions wrong. A bot pops up and suggests you answer things more accurately. The option is to click I agree. So I started answering the confidence questions differently. Then she pops again and says I wasn’t answering things correctly. It was very weird. What happened to the good ole days. I plan to find a different company to do this next time. Unless you offer in person classes.

Didnt know what to expect when going in. It seemed very nice. They were out of gloves my size and the masks for the dummies didnt fit all too well, which made me frustrated. I liked that I had more than enough time to complete all the modules. Turns out I left a very important bracelet in the room and I called their help line and they were able to give me information that made it easy to get it back. Overall, good experience. When I need to get re-certified I will go back.

Renewing my BLS certification was a snap through Safety Training Seminars! The entire process from registering to completing my skills certification went very smoothly. I would encourage individuals to prepay for the rescheduling option...it really saved me when I had to change my skills testing date. My skills testing site was easy to find and the testing was conducted in a low pressure, fully automated manner. Their process of skills testing lent itself to plenty of practice and helpful hints. I wont dread re-certifying the next time it comes around. Thank you Safety Training Seminars!

Taking this class online for the first time. I liked the way I was able to do the course at my own pace and time. The hands on was more difficult than I thought but eventually I was able to pass!! Took practice but it was a great tool! Love this. Waiting to do the ACLS portion tomorrow!! Whew!!

Pros: Very clean and directions to the testing site was easy. I actually liked the privacy of performing BLS with the laptop assisted session.The online training was EXCELLENT and I would highly recommend your company!Con:I would have liked 1.5 hours as an option to sign up for.Thirty extra minutes with the laptop skills testing and extra time if needed to repeat.

The training and simulation are great and so much better than in person because the mannequin gives you feedback. The only complaint I had was that I had trouble logging on to the computer. I was able to reach tech support who solved the issue but I was 20” late to start and was worried I would take too long.

The entire process of taking both the online class and skills test was very convenient. It’s probably super obvious to most people, but I was a little confused on how to actually enter the room. The code to the door was on my receipt, but maybe add a sentence about specifically entering the room. I’m a health care worker with a family and busy schedule, and I was able to renew my license quickly and did most of the work on my couch. I highly recommend Bay Area CPR!

I renewed my ACLS a few months back. It was so simple. I completed the online portion and then the hands on portion in the office. The office was conveniently located to me and used a PIN number to enter. I was the only one there and I was in and out in 30 minutes. It worked seemlessly!

I really appreciate the way this class is formatted. I like being able to do the learning at home, at my own pace. The skills testing at the facility was efficient and informative. The feedback the mannequins and computers give as you are performing your skills is great.

I was nervous to do the skills check part of this course because there is no instructor on site, just a voice assisted mannequin. I had nothing to be nervous about! It was the fastest and easiest skills check I ever went through! I would recommend this class to anyone!

I felt the online module was well constructed and based on sound educational principles. The mannequin testing portion was frustrating. A single simple poster with clear step by step directions and screenshots would have been helpful. There are a number of posters, but I did not see one with clear directions. I use Apple hardware. The PC laptops are extremely cumbersome. The trackpad is kludgy— when clicked it opens another menu as opposed to opening your selection. I could not scroll with it so I did not initially see the selection to start the mannequin session. I called your helpline, but to be honest the rep was almost as confused as I was!! I eventually signed in and started the test. I will say the 2 person adult was difficult and took 4 tries and a lot of sweat! Hand position, too light, too deep, too slow, too fast!! As soon as I passed I ended up in settings and could not get back to the exam. I went to the other laptop to finish the infant portion. In summary the software is well designed. The mannequins work well. The PC laptops are cumbersome to use and detracted from the experience. Happy to discuss.

I went in to complete my RQI for ACLS/BLS at 0900 as scheduled. Went to the front door and it was still locked. I went to the side doors to see if any of it is open but it wasn’t. I called Safety Training Seminar and the person who answered asked me to find a lock box that contains the key to get in to the building. I found a lock box and attempted to use the key on the front door and side doors but it didn’t open. I spent 20 minutes past my schedule of 0900 before a person who worked in one of the units opened the door for me. During this whole time I was placed on hold because customer service was trying to get additional help. I got in to the building finally and used the door access key they gave me and got in to the simulation room. The room was tidy, internet worked great, and I did not have any problem accessing the simulation portion of the RQI. It took me longer to get in to the building than doing the simulation itself. Overall, it was an okay experience. It would’ve been a smoother experience if I did not go through the ordeal of getting in to the building.

I was surprised that the inperson class was removed but I really enjoyed the didactic online learning. It changed based on what I knew. The inperson testing was by myself in a room with a computer and I was nervous but I realized this made the testing much faster and the computer prompts made it so easy! This has been the best BLS test experience ever!

It was pretty good. I couldn’t access the course from my phone, which I wish I’d known originally. When I was doing my hands on test there was another person working next to me who was really struggling and kept asking for help. I’m happy to help, but it was distracting. Maybe only one testee in a room at a time.

Such a great setting. Nobody else in class but me, the laptop, and the mannequins. Saves a lot of time just performing CPR virtually rather than 8 hours in a classroom full of people. I hope this will be the new future

Took my first BLS training with them & was great. Used the BLS heartcode which is 1-2 hours online, then up to 1 for the on hands skills part. I loved how detailed the online training was and able to pass with flying colors. I 100% recommend to use this company for your BLS!

I would never take this test without a live person in the room or at least a live person on a zoom screen. The mask didn’t fit the mannequin’s face well, and it took many, many, many tries to be able to do the correct compressions and then switch to giving breaths of air with the mask and air bulb. By the end of my time I was almost in tears, exhausted due to having to repeat over and over and over because the mask didn’t fit well, and was literally screaming the numbers of compressions as I was counting due to the intense frustration I was consumed by. I have always kept my BLS up to date and have always done it in a class. I do not think this Covid version of isolation for the BLS should be continued.

Been recerifying BLS CPR ahead of my EMT recert with BACPR for years. Instructor led trains are comprehensive and effective. Just tried the blended learning for my most recent recert. Loved it! Not only was it more efficient (less than half the time and much shorter drive), but the feedback on compression depth and ventilation volume from the connected mannequins was next level. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

This is the best place to recertify. You can study at home on your computer at your own pace. And the hands on at the San Rafael location was efficient and easy. I just certified for PALS, and next month will recertify for BLS and ACLS. I am happy to learn that This is an all women owned company, hooray!. I only wish there were discounts offered for taking more than one class! :)

Had an appointment scheduled for 9 am but buildings main entrance was locked. Called safety seminars office support and they told me the building manager was not in the area so they would not be able to unlock the outside door to enable me to access the classroom. Therefor, they rescheduled me at the San Rafael location at 3 pm. Office staff were great and they did their best to resolve the issue but I must admit, it was a little frustrating not to mention a lot of unnecessary driving.

EDITING to add that when I renewed my ACLS I thought BLS was included because it has always been part of my ACLS renewal in the past and I have used this company multiple times but this was my first VAM experience. This time it was not somehow included despite the absurdity that you really can’t do ACLS without bls. I called for support and was told nothing could be done to edit or add to the ACLS course I already completed. I just have to pay for and do the entire BLS course. I still had more questions but the support person hung up on me. She didn’t seem to understand why this is frustrating. I thought the VAM was an efficient fix in setting of covid but turns out when you cut out humans for the sake of efficiency you end up doing more work than before. Not very efficient after all.
