Clean park and staff is friendly. Curbside trash and recycling pickup. Nicely kept pool and playground. The rec room has a foosball table and some arcade games. Affordable laundry. Huge dog park. Petting zoo with obese goats.Cabins and tent sites on the water. Id return.

I came to visit a friend who was staying here and this place is one of sacs best kept secrets. Theirs tent camping, rv, trailer and even cabins. Bathrooms are immaculate. The grounds are too. Theirs a lake ( Im guessing ) where geese hang out . Its quiet and i fell in love and I was here 5 min.

Great location for visiting Sacramento. RV resort has some great amenities, little to no privacy between sites, easy access to highway, and the grounds are kept clean. I would have given this location a 4 star; however, the bathrooms could use a good deep clean (the ones located in the shed), and in general all the bathrooms could use more frequent checks. I went into a few this morning that were nasty, but thankfully there are quite a few available as there are more showers and toilets at the pool area. The traffic noise is definitely there 24/7, but the location is convenient to the highways and the noise is at a reasonable level. Didn’t hinder me getting to sleep! There is also a really cute little petting zoo, a great dog run, and this place is pet friendly.

I’ve stayed here twice now. And because I took too long to pack up my camp site by myself (after requesting a late checkout), I am NOT ALLOWED TO CAMP HERE ANYMORE! No warning, only found out after driving all the way here, nowhere else to go, and I’m told I can’t stay. Damn it. I even offered to pay extra for the time it took me to pack up. No reasoning. Honestly, this place isn’t super nice anyways. The bathrooms are always dirty and showers look like they’ve never been scrubbed, so BRING SHOWER SHOES!!!! Yes, I did catch athletes foot here once before.I even made sure to not leave any mess or anything behind because I knew I was taking too long. But when I spoke with management about it at the time nobody said anything to me at all. I am too tired to drive anymore. I don’t know what I’ll do now. 😢

I have been coming here for the last 6 years for a soccer tournament.The place is clean, accepts pets, and have plenty of amenities. I love the ducks, cranes, and geese that visit the place.I look forward to coming back every year.

We arrived after hours and after hour arrival instructions do not include any information on how to access the services (bathrooms, showers, community room, laundry, etc.) which are accessible only by punching in a code. I talked with the Manager about this and she only wanted to give me a 10% discount. Not a good business practice. Beware if you are a late arrival. You’ll pay full price and not be able to use the facilities.

Its very rustic, just what you want for a quick little camping trip. It feels very country- despite being a block from the freeway! The little lake it great. You must bring your own bedding etc.. but we had fun

The cabins are nice, the batHrooms are spacious and the water gets to hot quick which is great on a cold night. The view is spectacular lake side with Canadian Geese that are always a pleasant sight first thing in the morning. Quiet and serene I highly recommend Sac West for a small getaway 😊

Think twice before coming here because as much as it seems like a wonderful place to go with your family, they do not tolerate families that are allowed during the day.I was kindly asked to leave after being there a couple weeks after in a six month reservation because my kids are too loud.The staff rides their go carts between 10 to 15 mph during the day and at night with no lights on .The pool is greasy, even though it looks clean would not recommend swimming in it.This place is great if you’re on your own or have one kid that you can keep on to control, but other than that, I would not recommend this to be a family camping site.

We would gives them a five but they didnt have 50 amp at the pull through site we stayed at. Hopefully they upgrade all pull through sites soon. There’s so many big rig rvs now it’s needed. Staff are very friendly, park is very clean, easy check in, we didn’t use facilities. They have a awesome dog park with lots of walking areas. I also appreciate the daily garbage pick up. This is our 2nd time staying there we will be back. I didn’t take pictures

We had an amazing time at sacwest... we were in town for the Golden sky festival!!! Let me tell you the staff at the this park are amazing.. not only a trash pick up service. They also set up a system of drivers and cars to pick up and drop off everyone that was in the park at the event... they charge half of what every other service offered and smiled about it the whole time... we WILL be back next year for the golden sky festival (as I already have our tickets boughten.. sac west we will be back next year and for any in the area events in the future... you guys and your park was an amazing time.... thank you you made our 20 year anniversary just amazing... honestly we will be making reservations for next year this weekend... thank you again.

Pretty good. The pool was nice but VERY chlorinated, the playground was fun but my daughter was disappointed that they didn’t have swings- they have a lot of porch swings but no playground swings. They have a mini farm! When we went they had two goats, two pigs and a bunch of chickens. The chickens run loose sometimes so don’t bother trying to catch them. They also have go-carts with was fun!

Most of the sites are only 30amp and pretty close together. Fortunately there were no power issues as someone else mentioned. The park itself looked like there were upgrades in progress as the showers looked newer. The highlight was the playground and pool. This was definitely one of the best playgrounds Ive seen at an RV park. The RV park also holds kid activities such as rockets and popsicles! Lastly the staff were welcoming too.

The campground is close to the highway but it wasn’t a big deal for us as we had earplugs. The pool was closed and the roof deflated but it looked like they were getting it back up and running as we left.They were Great finding us a 50 Amp site last minute and the pull through sites are easy to get into - we had no issues arriving late at night and without power! (Power was down a few blocks for about 2 hours). There is a lot of space to walk your dog and grassy area however due to the recent rains a lot of it was under water.Staff were super friendly. The games room and laundry room were clean. Laundry was a fair price at $1.50 /wash and $1.00/dry.Great place to stop for a few nights - looks like they have activities planned during some weekends as well!

Happy with the amenities and service over Memorial weekend. Better spots are on the back facing the creek where are tent sites. I thought it will be noisy due to the proximity to the highway 80, but it wasn’t at all. 3stars because it is RV park and sites are tight. There are some trees so not too bad but I prefer a state park and more privacy. But we needed a place close to San Jose and nothing else was available since it was memorial weekend.

Great little place to use when traveling. Very reasonable pricing. I have only spent one night at a time there. Check in and check out our super easy. Its a little tacky with all the yard art etc but its very cute and comfortable and I felt safe there as a woman traveling alone. I typically rent one of the small cabins for me and my two dogs. Very dog friendly. I went to Arizona to care for my mother and she passed away so I was unable to make my reservation. I called them a couple days before and they were so gracious, they gave me a rain check and did not charge me for the canceled reservation. They have new updated individual showers with a combination lock now so I felt even safer than before. I would highly recommend this place to travelers.

I essentially lived in this campground for almost four months during my temporary work assignment. Even after four months, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. I’ve stayed at a lot of campgrounds over the year, and this one is at the top of the list for the best. The showers are very hot and last forever. The laundry is reasonably priced. The dog run area is huge. I enjoyed the free eggs, and declarative paintings on the windows. Very convenient location right off the highway and close to downtown. Everyone was nice to me, and I felt safe the whole time as a solo female traveler with a small dog. Definitely recommend.

I’m sorry to say that the people who run this Good Sam Park can not relate to people on a limited vacation. Our pickup truck had major repair problems so our only alternative was to drop our camper off at this campground until our truck was fixed. We kept In daily contact with them updating our agenda, the best we could tell them with our limited information from the Ford dealer. They had no sympathy to let us pick up our camper when it was done on Friday and skedaddle out of there without incurring another $95 charge for mediocre camping experience. After a 10 minute conversation, they finally agreed to refund me the nights charge if they filled the spot with another party. They were so worried about not being able to reserve that campsite for someone else for the night. They had at least 20 empty campsites that night, there was no problem with us, taking up that spot until we got out of there that evening. I hope they have filled some of their greedy spirit with our $400.

This place is very convenient.Lots of cool things like a small petting zoo, dog park, and arcade.My family and I love to go there to just step away for a weekend.The covered pool is so so cool. Our kids never want to get out of it. They absolutely love it.This place would have 5 Stars, but service could use some improvement. Everyone that works there besides one lady (youll know who she is when you see her) is absolutely pleasant though.

We love SacWest!Weve been here the times now for short stays (3 to 5 nights) and will continue to come as long as we are heading to Sacramento! The sites are great, clean and level, and the bathroom/showers are great too.Our kids love the arcade room and the laundry facilities, though a little outdated, work as good as can be expected.

I’ve been to location a few times and it has went downhill. Cottages showers have mold- I’ve been in two different ones, same in both. Pool has algae bloom- but office thinks is ok. Tried to notify office and had poor service getting ahold of them. Poor parking locations. Yard maintenance thinks ok to blow dust towards camp trailers

Not only did the Simple staff member come across extremely rude, but the owner herself as well was very rude… I was seeking a place to park long-term and was left feeling very much as if I just didn’t belong amongst their company.I have a 2006 cougar trailer and really was looking for a nice communal area…. Obviously this is not the place where there is acceptance, unless you are exactly the right fit for “their“ community…. I just don’t like negative people or negative energy.I still wish them well… the site itself is very well-kept and beautiful and that is why I gave it to stars… No matter how beautiful a place is if there are people who are not friendly or compassionate, there’s no point because there’s no peace.

A nice park...clean with level spaces. They have a petting zoo with pigs, goats and chickens available. They also offer a modern laundry with a game room nearby to give you something to do while you wait for your clothes to finish. Spaces are a little tight, but manageable. We camped in a 27 Class C motorhome.

Stayed here in May 2021. Read all the reviews and was a little worried, but pulled the trigger anyway. Overall, it was pleasant. The staff was awesome, attentive, and friendly. I had a pull through with full hook ups. No issues. The sites are a little more narrow than what Im used to, but I usually camp at lakes and legit camping locations. This is in the an urban environment, so it is what it is. You are located near everything Sacramento has to offer, which is A HUGE plus. I enjoyed the views and appreciated the view of the river we had. Everything seemed clean and tidy. The facility is a little older, but I didnt care. If I had to stay near Sacramento again (our daughter lives here) I would DEFINITELY come back.

It’s a very nice campground, but mildly outdated. Staff is very kind and helpful though, truly great service. The ballon tent covered heated pool was a wonderful oasis. There is a cute dog park with everything your traveling furry companion could need. Including a mail box full of dog treats. The playground has a few outdated safety measure, but overall very fun for the kiddos. A lot of extra personal, hometown efforts made here.

Would leave a zero if we could… Seems like this park is running only long-term for their friends. Reserved and deposited on an extremely nice trailer and later was told it was too old. Owner took one look at myself and my husband and said anything older than 2013 would be too difficult for us to maintain.

What a little oasis! Stayed in their little cabins on two different occasions now. It was great! And even though the bathroom / showers are “shared”, they are really nice and individually separated. Each one has its own locking door. Staff are very friendly and responsive.

My wife and I are travel nurses and stayed here about five months. Jennifer and Naomi in the office are great, all of the workers were pleasant and are always around working on the grounds. All the spaces are pull through- some tighter than others. They have goats and pigs and you can buy food to feed them. Close to everything in Sacramento. Biggest con was the laundry facilities- theres only four washers and four dryers, all which are very old. Would definitely stay here again!

I was hopeful given that this seemed to be the best park near to Sacramento based on reviews. The sites are long, but narrow and not very level. Neither of the sites we stayed in (more on that later) were level. We were pretty satisfied with the park, though it was very much the off season, and the area looked pretty ugly. The grass was dead and the river was more like a mud pit. We liked that they had the food truck there, the food was pretty decent. There was a pretty huge power issue that they had partway into my stay that they were not able to fix for my entire stay because the owner was in the hospital (I dont see how thats related to them doing their jobs, but whatever). The first offer was to just refund my stay and I could go to another RV park to solve my problem, but eventually they were able to find a site I could move to after a day, so I just dealt with the issue for a day (I still paid full price for each day even though my power was not working) until I was able to move to a working site. No other issues once we moved, but just abysmal customer service throughout. No constructive thinking to solve my problem, just excuses and the bare minimum to keep my money.in summary, the stay is good enough until something breaks, then the staff will barely lift a finger to help you.

Perfect for what it is which is a basic parking lot RV park. The amenities are pretty great, lovely pool, petting zoo and my favorite the fenced dog park. Oh and they have a dog wash with leash clip!!! So many parks miss the opportunity for dog friendly features. They have the cleanest bathrooms i have ever experienced at an RV park.My only disappointment was the wifi connection specifically in communal spaces close to the office where it makes sense to have strong connection. Their rec room would be a perfect place to hey some work done if only the wifi was powerful enough. Since i was working on the road I was specifically in need of this amenity. I heard certain RV spots had great reception but unfortunately not ours.

Family friendly, close to Sacramento but still feels like youre away from the city. Freeway is close by but that cant really be changed with a park thats been around for 40 years. Same with electrical issues. A lot of people like to complain about their power and a bunch of nit picky issues when the park does all it can to accommodate the customers with what is there. If you want a campground in the woods then go to the woods, not SACRAMENTO. And when you see the difference between Cal Expo and here you will be grateful you have any amenities at all. This place is great. Just take a look at the trailer parks in the area and take your pick of what you think is better. Love this place, thank you to the staff and owners. Keep up the good work.

2 stars for the inhospitable treatment by the angry office lady. 10 stars for the actual campground. Like others, I felt the amenities and cleanliness of the place was above par. If it wasn’t for the hostile lady we had to deal with we would have stayed for a week along with the group of RVs we planned to meet us. But feeling unwanted really puts a damper on things. Taylor, the on site manager, was our saving grace. We had issues and he pleasantly explained so much to us about the rv we had rented. Very personable and informative. I would really suggest putting the angry lady in some back office and hire someone with a personality to interact with customers.After hours check in was really great too. Very understandable except that we didn’t know about amps and which hook up we needed. We are glad we left cash in the envelope and not a credit card. The mean lady kept coming out at check out time insisting we pay an extra ten dollars for late check out (15 minutes) because we couldn’t get the stabilizers working. She said she was just doing her job but really? My mobility impaired husband and I were doing our best to leave and she showed no sign of sympathy or even wanted to know what the problem was. I have never been treated so rudely by someone.THANK YOU TAYLOR. LET US KNOW WHEN SHE IS GONE!!!!!!!

Customer service & electricity is terrible & horrible. We are on 30amp, which hasnt worked correctly since day 1, so we plugged into the 20amp to hook up an extension cord for extra air conditioning. We got told that we either need to leave right now or unplug the 20amp since we are not paying for the extra 20amp, which we offered multiple times to pay for. We asked to compromise with us to have the extra 20amp plugged in for the rest of the day (again offered to pay for) & we will leave the following morning. They refused to be helpful in over 100° weather and would not accept any compromise, explanation, and became aggressive and threatening. No one should stay here...problems since day 1.

My experience at West Sac Camping was great, for three days me and my granddaughters and my Mother had a wonderful time. The weather was great, so the heated pool was awesome, we took long walks around the campsite. Watching the lake with the ducks coming very close was very funny for my granddaughters and the people were very friendly and I was at the pool having a conversation with a lady(so down to earth) and she was the Owner, Wow that made my stay well worth it. The staff was doing what they do best, keeping the camp grounds safe and clean. The game room had Pac Man and other fun games.I’m telling you that you want be disappointed if you stay at West Sac ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️

We used this park as our overnight stay while visiting Sacramento for 2 days. It seems to me that this was originally a KOA campground, it has all the look and feel of that chain. We loved the park and its facilities and the convenience of it being close to the city. For us, it was mostly used for overnighting, as such, which served us very well.

Would not return!!! Avoid at all cost!!! First of all the voltage was low. Around 115/116 always. They don’t care about their customers. Example: a guest needed a later check out due to cancer appointment with the doctor in Sacramento and was willing to pay an extra fee and move the camper to a spot without any hook ups. The lady at the main office said they cannot do that and they would need to pay an extra day at $84. Also they will charge your guests $5 a day to park. Even if the guest doesn’t stay the night. Only visiting! Your tow dolly connected to your rig, plus your car consist of 2-3 vehicles. Lol. Also they charge $529 a week if they will offer that to you and no monthly rates. Park is empty and poorly managed with rude staff and owners. Daniel was a decent fellow who takes care of the grounds. He was nice. Another Spanish young lady, was in the office and she was really nice but the older lady was absolutely unbelievable. I wouldn’t return there and spend a dime. Terrible. Absolutely no hospitality and they charge you for anything and everything. Don’t be late checking out at 12pm. They will try to hit your card for a late fee as well. This lady was 12:15pm pulling out and the office lady was complaining saying they would have to pay a late fee. Then there is goose and duck and bird poop all over everything and the grounds due to all the birds.👌 good luck with that rv park. It will Probably be a Walmart in the next few years. Owners don’t care anymore. It’s their last park and they act like it too. 👍 Land lease is going to double and The owners are not happy. 😆 stay at cal expo Rv park downtown. It’s quiet, nice, secure and you can stay for $850 a month all included but have to leave after that for 7 days. Then you could go back for a month. Happy trails.

So we head to San Jose and we could not find any vacancy to stay anywhere within 2hour distance in that area. We ended up staying in parking lots that were very loud and so on the way back to Reno found this RV park with most amenities just west of Sacramento on the I-80. The parks was a happy find for us because it is very user friendly. Along with the usually park features it also has food truck, movie rentals, small store, fishing, swimming pool covered for all year swimming, and recreation for the kids. It is definitely a place you can come and relax. They also include free wifi for those that prefer to stay snuggled in their rig. I would highly recommend this spot as a must stay destination.

I thought this place had pretty cool amenities, so I stayed there.... Arcade games dont work. I cant tell you how many dollars we put in these things and even after I told them they dont work, no signs were put up. Its like theyre just trying to get more money from the games. Second they dont pick up trash at a certain time, but they dont. They let campers have little dogs and kids running in the road. But the owner seems to have a vendetta against bigger dogs.. the established people there can walk around with dogs off leash. But if youre a new Comer and break any dog rule, theyll evict you on spot and not refund your money. The owner was extremely rude, like one of the rudest unprofessional people Ive ever encountered. We had an conflict and the way it was handled I will never recommend or stay at this place again with my rv. Playground equipment is also full of spider webs . Pool was not clean.

Had a weird experience trying to stay here. I was trying to book a tent site to camp in my car, but the office staff insisted I would have to book an RV site. I drive a Prius-- theres nothing to hook up, no need for water or electricity. Its not even a large car.Ended up booking one night in a cabin instead. After hours check-in was easy, but the low water pressure in the showers made it difficult to bathe properly. I left after one night and booked elsewhere.

This is a really nice park. I have been to many RV parks throughout the years and this one is one of the best.The bathrooms are nice and clean and warm with showers. Need a pass code to enter.There are also wheelchair ramps.Theres lots of stuff to do there. Pool, kids playground and animals. If I could give them no stars I would. First of all THE STAFF IS VERY RUDE. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. It is the worst campsite Ive ever stayed at. They drive around watching what you do and pick at everything. But dont say anything to the campers who are loud all night and sing karaoke so loud its heard throughout the park. It doesnt bother me but when in being told not to plug in my phone to the cabins outlet (where no one is staying) I dont understand why if we can plug it into the bathroom outlet what difference does it make. Its the same electrical system and no one is staying in the cabin anyway. The staff has no problem talking in a loud mean tone while telling you not to do something. Wheres the courtesy and politeness when asking your customer to please refrain from doing something. Its just nowhere in their realm of thought. They treat adults like their children there paid to babysit. I will be telling everyone I know not to stay at sac West, there are tons of other places that are affordable and local, that treat you with dignity and respect.

The cabin that I stayed in was recently remodeled and had this adorable loft with a drop down ladder. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. My family of 4 and our little dog stayed here for one night on our way to Oregon. We all loved this park!!!! The little store where you can buy supplies and rent movies was great. The 24 Karat Grill food truck serves yummy food and we enjoyed not having to make breakfast. The pool was really warm and well maintained, as were the showers and restrooms. Loved the dog park too!!! This was one of the best rv parks I have visited. It is well maintained! They have all kinds of entertainment there, yet, it was pleasantly quiet. There is a dog park, bike rentals, free yard eggs, restrooms with showers, laundry, and wifi. That’s just some of the things offered. Close to the interstate 5. Really its not even a one star. We arrived there on Wednesday but we were having trouble with our Dodge ram truck. So on Thursday morning we had to take it in to be fixed. We were told that our truck would not be ready until the following Thursday. We were scheduled to stay at the park until Monday. They were nice in the office and the manager was nice they said that we could keep our spot that we were in until Wednesday because they had someone else coming in. We were in a 50 amp spot. So we are paying $50 a day there. so come Wednesday morning we were told that we had to find somebody to move our fifth wheel out into their field because they needed our space that we were in. So we found somebody hook up our fifth wheel and move it out into the field which there was no service is out in this field but they charged us $45 a day there. So while were out in this field no service A class a RV joined us they were having problems with the electrical in the spot they were in so they were moved out into the field and charged $45 so we only got five dollars back to be in the field! So now its Thursday morning we get to go pick up our truck good thing I had my car also. A girl comes from the office and she tells us that if we dont leave by noon if they will charge us $10 an hour ! I was so glad when we could get out of there as fast as we could and we will never ever go back there are refer anybody to stay in that place!OH, the people who took our space was using only 30 amps! They had a number of spots open that were 30 amps.😟

The Staff for the most part is polite, cheerful and helpful. It is so quiet and peaceful here the other Rv/ Campers seem to all respect each other. The Birds just sing so happily and joyously its a beautiful place to unwind. The trash is picked up anytime and I just bag it and put it on the curb and Its picked up with a smile.. The main thing is I feel safe here and the showers are hot and clean, also the laundromat here is nice and works great to get the clothes actually clean. . I hope to be back to visit again.

Was really disheartening at the way they treat there disabled customers.Me and my boyfriend checked in for couple days.He wanted to go swimming.He is a new amputee.They have a nice pool that is disabled accessible.But no parking available for disabled near the pool or Rec room or Laundry.They do have disabled parking but its only for checking in.We didnt not know this.It is posted as disabled parking.So we parked .We got out and proceeded to pool to swim.The attendant came out raising her voice telling him to move his vehicle he was in the middle of taking off his prosthetic.He said excuse me California state law says I have the right to use it for how ever long I need she made us feel bad we do not know if it will ever be return visit ESPECIALLY with his disability due to the fact that the services are to far for him to walk to.

Hoped it would be nice, it wasn’t. For $80 per night it should be a premium rv site, it wasn’t. More like a Thousand Trails RV park with dirt and rocks. Voltage was so low we couldn’t run our AC and it’s 91 degrees outside. There is a pond, but you need to watch your step as Goose poop is everywhere between the road and the pond. The first site we were assigned had a large pine tree over it, good for shade, but in 15 minutes we had 10 huge sap/pitch deposits on our motorhome that I could see, not counting the roof. Second sight we were assigned had no trees, no shade, and voltage at 104 so we couldn’t run our AC with 91 degree temps outside. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our stay at SacWest RV park and won’t be back. Not to forget, our neighbors sewer hose was attached to the sewer connection under our picnic table. Who doesn’t like that ????

We were camping in Lake Tahoe and had a medical emergency and a family member was transferred to UC Davis. They were SO kind and caring about my situation and booked me for a week which I used (I had initially booked only 2 nites and they changed it to ensure I would have a site - great customer service). The park was very convenient to Sacramento and my needs. My site was fairly level, had full hook-ups which all worked perfectly and appeared most spots had shade trees. The site I had was kind of narrow, but accommodated my slides fine. The park was VERY quiet, clean and seemed to be kept up very nice. I did not use most of their amenities, but each spot had picnic tables and there appeared to be a restroom right behind my spot. They had a small store for essentials, a pool (looked popular), a playground, dog areas, a food truck that delivered to your spot, daily garbage pick up at your site (nice). Even though this is an RV Park it had a small bit of a campground vibe as well. Not just a paved parking spot. I would not hesitate to use Sac West RV park again my next trip North. Very helpful and friendly owners, but they have got to resolve the electric issues and have sites with ample power for the motor home crowd. This is not a destination campground, its a great place to stay for convenience. The owners have done some nice improvements from the KOA days, but the sites are really small and most travelers have HUGE rigs. What was once adequate for tent camping or a truck shell is a tight squeeze for the slider style rigs. It would be great to see a row of wider spaces just by eliminating 2 spots.

What a horrible, disgusting place to stay! We arrived late only to find our trailer frame broke, we called about 5 mobile welders and finally one nice gentleman answered the phone, we talked to him over the loud freeway noise and he agreed to come in an hour. We informed our neighbors that there would be some loud noise, they did not mind and said their grandchildren were loud and that they didnt care.The welding was underway, until a grumpy old man who happened to be the owner came up to us and screeched, its quiet hours, you have to stop - NOW! He even said our neighbors called in, when in reality they didnt. The welding machine is barely audible over the roaring freeway.Today we went to run some errands and left one person with the trailer, we got an angry phone call, We couldnt help that notice your truck is gone and nobody is working on it. Our family member was disconnecting propane tanks and the welder was on his way, we couldnt do anything about it. She demanded we be out by 12, but we cant move! She finally agreed that we had to leave by 2 at the latest, in addition to a $10 fee. Because what if the next people show up who rented the spot, they’re will be no-where for them to go, there was tons of empty spots! The service is horrid and unprofessional, the campsites are mud infested and run-down. The pool was also disgusting. I can assure you we will never be back!-1 stars!!!!!!

It is a clean RV park and campground... Tent sites are pretty small, lots of mosquitos. Its next to water but you cant swim in it and so shallow the birds were standing up in it. If you check in after hours no one is around to give you direction- it gives a number for emergencies only. We had ask other campers what the bathroom code was. Didnt see the camp host until we were already packed up and leaving and she was rude. My parents always said to use your words- I dont believe her parents taught her that! There is a way to get information without being rude. We have camped everywhere this year and she was by far the snootiest person Ive run across this summer. The price was too high for this area. Though this park is thr only game in town the maintenance of the grounds leaves a lot to be desired. The dog park is filled with foxtails. Worst Rv Park ever. I paid 2000 Bucks a month to stay here and their water pressure is so low you hardly get we in the shower. Over 100 degrees if power goes out your not allowed to run a generator on your rv to stay cool. Even if the generator come factory on you rv. They keep the garbage cans locked up so you cant throw your own garbage away so they can collect it themselves and go through your garbage.

They had our Rv camping package ready for us in an envelope with our name on it.Descent price for a full hook up. Clean bathrooms and showers. Clean camp ground. Horrible owner / bad electricityWe had originally planned to stay here for several months, but left on day 10. From the start, the electricity was faulty and kept tripping the breakers. We asked the management team to come look at it and they sent the owner, Jim. Jim was very defensive and condescending from the start and said it was an issue on our end which was completely untrue. The neighbors next to us were having the same issue and we shared an electrical box and we have since moved and do not have the issues we had there so it was certainly an issue with that spot. The owner was also unwilling to let us move to one of the other open sites. When I was alone with Jim (my boyfriend was at work) then Jim began screaming at me very close to my face. I am a 5’2” girl in my 20s and he is a large man. I was terrified he might hurt me and locked myself in my trailer. The office called later that day and offered to let us change to a different site if we were willing to pay for BOTH sites every day because they “can’t rent (our) site to anyone else.” We declined and found a way better RV park the next day. Horrible management and dirty electricity.

We have traveled across country 4 times and this park has the least amount of service for the most cost of any park. 64 for a 30 amp pull thru and my Aaa discount was 4. Not exactly 10 percent. The 30 amp service was in the middle of an 2 inch water puddle. Felt real safe turning on breaker. Water faucet was in the middle of a 10x4 puddle that was over the top of my shoes and had been pushed over to near ground level by vehicle I guess. Sewer had no cap 30 feet away and you had to string sewer line under the neighbors picnic table . 3 calls to office all went to auto menu. Welcome to Sacramento. Never stay here again.

Not very happy with this campground. They have a policy that states that you can only reserve their water/electric sites for 3 days.After the 3 days you have to move up to the more expensive full hook up sites which we didnt need as we were in a small teardrop. Who does that? Another thing we didnt like was that the sites are VERY close together with only enough space for a picnic table between rigs. There are also a lot of animals around. Sorry Sac West, but you need to think about some things if you are forcing your customers to leave and go somewhere else.

Wow! I give the place 4 stars, but I give the dark-haired, tattooed lady -2 stars; therefore I rate this place as a 2. They have a great petting zoo, shower, laundry, playground, pool, bike rental, on-site food truck, dog run and more! Although, the only thing that ruins it is the DHT lady, which we think is the owner. She is miserable, so much so, we feel very sorry for her. She has obviously had a rough life. Despite the misery, there is a bright side; there is a blond haired lady that is over-the-top nice. The other employees also seem nice. To have a good experience at this RV park, somehow you will need to ignore the DHT lady. For the sake of the other employeees, dont let her ruin your trip. Just ignore the fact that she is trying to drive down their reputation. You will then enjoy your stay.

Facility is wonderful, customer service next to the worst we have experienced ESPECIALLY in a time of crisis. Best friend in ICU at UC Davis; CHP hit by a drunk driver! Stayed for several nights and need to come back while he goes thru extensive surgeries and recovery over the next few months. This morning we needed to take his wife to the hospital for his 3rd surgery and they would not permit for a late check out (3pm) for our trailer. Zero compassion for the circumstances, spouse, best friend or the officer!! Temperatures expected to be 95 today and we have both dogs in our trailer. We will have a 5 hour drive home later too. Horrible experience and makes it incredibly difficult to refer others including his wife who will need a nearby park for her RV. Such a shame since its a great facility.

We stayed there March 2015 for an event that was happening in downtown Sac near the convention center. The park was okay, in that it is an older park. I have a 32 foot Fleetwood with slide outs on both sides and didnt have an issue with room to put them out. The was plenty of room for my tow vehicle behind me as well. The dog run is nice, its a very large fenced in area that they can run around in and off leash. The spots are all gravel, the trash is picked up every morning if you put it out. The lake behind the place is not something to swim in, more for aesthetics. There are some long term people staying there too, mixed in amongst the camping spots.

Great Place for families! My wife and I met our daughter and the Grandchildren at Sac West. Second time weve visited. Our daughter and her family had a Pull-Thru and my wife and I rented a cabin near the lake. Our cabin was air conditioned and had a Queen bed for us as well as a Bunk-bed in case the kids wanted to come hang out with Grandma and Grandpa. Which they did. (Bring your own bedding).We fished, ate Ice Cream, Swam, took the dogs to the Dog Park and ate Watermelon in our cabin. Really fun family time. They even have a little train that picks up families and tours the park. The Staff and Owners were super nice. (I even saw the Owners passing out smores fixins to the Kids at the Campfire one night and having fun with everyone at the Waterslide). Good Times! Before you leave, try the 24K Grill. Great Food! and very reasonable. Cant wait to come back!

I have been camping at this place for a long time the staff is nice and helpful. I was recently camping at this place for three days and on our last day we were 45 minutes late to leave out camping space because my friend I was camping with was sick. We left the camping site and went to get something to eat at there little trailer and went to the front office to get water and ice cream. While we were sitting there having lunch that was bought from them a lady from the front office said I was blacklisted from the park meaning I cant go back. I called Uber to have my friend picked up. While we were we were waiting for uber the owner of the park came up to us and said you guys are still here. She was rude which didnt make any sense even know we check out of our camp site we were still buying food from them. Even our campsite was cleaner then when we arrived, I picked up all the trash and disposed of it. The owner sucks but the employees are the best.

I give this place NO STARS!!!! My husband and I reserved two tent sites last Saturday. The check in was quick and easy. When our other guests arrived that is when the problems started. We were told about the 6 person per site rule and since we had 2 sites that is a total of 12 people. Okay fine we had 11. Which means room for one more . Oh yeah and only 6 people were actually staying the night. Next we were told we could not have a generator which we were using for music ( wasnt loud} and things people use generators for while camping. We got rid of generator and had a boom box to play music. Also it was only 5pm so we were not in violation. The Staff came and harrassed us 3 times the 4th time we asked for our money back and the owner and his wife(which was how we were introduced) told us when we pack up we can get our money back. THE WIFE INSULTED US by saying THIS PARK IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY when we asked what she ment by that the husband said he didnt say that and the wife then confirmed that she said it and looked me in my face like oh well!!! We packed up all our stuff including uncooked meat/ food off the gill etc. They were very rude and from what I can see racist. upon us leaving park we drove by other peoples sites and seen generators and sites exceeding the site limit. took pictures and a few people were nice enough to give there information just in case needed if I decided to get a lawyer and take this further.

I walked out the door and saw one about 5 trailers down from office and I pointed it out to her and all she did was shrug and tell me I was wrong. I was looking right at it. When I asked if there was a reason the other person behind the counter said that those people were only there overnight. The biggest disappointment is the completely unusable wifi. Urban camping which means not far to go for services but also comes with sounds of the city. Nearby interstate provides plenty of road noise and sites are very close together. Cabins are available but didnt go inside one so no info on those.Bathrooms were ok but the shower stalls were smallish and if you are over 56 tall expect to lean over to rinse your hair. Hooks broken off the wall in the shower means towels and clothes go over the shower door instead of hung. Urinal was waterless so it was somewhat stinky.I saw big class As having trouble turning the corners as the driving lanes are tight.Staff was friendly and the enclosed pool looked inviting and warm.

This park is outrageously expensive compared to other parks. $72 a night for RV, the spots are so small with no real area between RVs. With our slide out we could not even walk between our RV and the one next to us. The mini picnic table hardly fits. It’s located right next to an industrial park, right off the freeway. Not worth it at all!

The place has potential, theyre just not putting it to the best use. The pond is quite nasty and mosquito infested. Boat and bike rentals are available, but not much else going on there as far as activities. I wouldnt go onto the pond, case I fell in it (looks toxic). Knowing the area, there are really not many good places to ride a bike without being in traffic. Like I said, it has potential, but due to the lack of effort to build it up and the very heavy mosquito population, we wont be going back. Staff could be a bit more accommodating to guest as well.

I came to Sac West as a traveling health care professional working an assignment at a local Sacramento hospital.Sac West had very low voltage that drops in the heat of the day that caused our breaker to flip even when running 1 single electronic. We asked the staff to come fix our electric hookup box. The owner, JIm, came out and immediately tried to say our trailer was the problem (even though we have never had this issue in another park). When my girlfriend explained to Jim that the park voltage was too low, causing our trailer to have to pull more amps, Jim freaked out on her and started screaming at her using his body language to try to physically intimidate her. They never fixed our electrical hookup, so we left the park early.As a healthcare professional, it is my opinion that Jim has a serious anger problem and it is not safe to stay there if he is there.If they ever try to stick you in site #76, ask for a different site, and dont expect them to fix anything that doesnt work.
