We just came back from the most amazing trip to Peru that was as perfect as a vacation can get. Jackie Becker designed the trip of a lifetime, and it couldnt have gone smoother. The hotels were all wonderful, locations ideal, restaurant recommendations were excellent, and the tour guides and drivers were exceptional. Peru is a super friendly, safe, awe inspiring, magical country. The sights are extraordinary, the food delicious and the people gracious. I cant say enough good things about SA Expedition. Will definitely be back to plan our next adventure.

This is BEST TRIP my husband and I have been on.! From the moment we landed at our first destination in Rio to the moment we left Lima, it was wonderful. The guides were knowledgeable, fun, inviting and wow, just amazing. I highly recommend booking with SA, they take of everything, all my husband and I had to do was enjoy the vacation, eat and sight see. It was truly a relaxing and adventurous time. The hotels we stayed at were incredible as well. I have nothing but the best things to say about SA. Wow!! What a Trip! SA Expeditions did an amazing job taking care of our family of 4 in booking the perfect Peruvian vacation for us! It all started with the amazing Julia who took our call, understood what we were looking to do/see, and also listened well to make an itinerary that would fit the bill for our family since we had two sons that are 18 and 20 yrs old and wanted a faster pace...and then a little bit slower pace for myself and my husband, who had recently been in accident and he needed special accommodations. Every little detail was taken care of...from the planning process...to our arrival at the Lima airport...to all our transfers...to our AMAZING tour guides...to our River Cruise along the Amazon...to our transfer back to the airport! I want to take a minute to give a special shout out to Juan, our guide in Cusco and Machu Picchu!! Juan was absolutely FANTASTIC! He was able to manage the fast pace of our boys while also accommodating my husband and myself! Juan was very knowledgeable about the Inca history and his passion shines through. I also want to give some praise to Roberto, our driver!! Let me tell you, driving in Peru is not for the faint of heart...and we always felt safe with Roberto! And finally, we have nothing but excellent things to say about ending our trip on the Aria River Cruise on the mighty Amazon River! Top notch all the way! The river boat was incredibly comfortable and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! All of our accommodations on this trip was beyond spectacular! Great job, SA Expeditions!!! Our trip, from brainstorming the ideal itinerary down to our final journey home, was a dream come true. Flor Bojorquez initiated our travel plan, answered questions, and provided guidance. Adam Laughter, provided the final phone conference and restaurant ideas. Both of these travel guides were informational and adept at their jobs! We spent one week in Galapagos and then another week, first in Cuzco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and then Lima. Our travel arrangements, the hotels, and our guides were wonderful and went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely use SA Expeditions again.

Our trip to the Galapagos was magical. The snorkeling with sea lions and turtles all around us, the wildlife that we could see up close without disturbing them, made this a unique experience for us. SA Expeditions and Jackie Becker lined up a wonderful tour with a beautiful ship for us. They even arranged a tour guide to meet us in Quito; that relieved some concern since the flight arrived at 1:30 in the morning. The ship was great, the food excellent and the naturalists very knowledgeable. After a day of snorkeling, walking on the shore or viewing wildlife from the Zodiak, my granddaughter and I sat on our private balcony and looked at the southern sky. All in all a fantastic trip.

What an adventure! We tried to cram too much into a 15-day trip, but certainly got our money’s worth and hit all the places we had long planned to see. SA Expeditions really takes care of you, from finding the best hotels, to meeting you at every stop, to providing excellent guides at every point, to having contact names and numbers to call if something goes wrong. India is a long way for us to go from California, so after a 21-hour plane ride, it was a relief to be met at the jet bridge by two gentlemen who guided us through the immigration process, and then a representative and driver who got us to our hotel where we could recover for the excursions ahead. The traffic everywhere is a real experience itself. Constant horn-blowing, incredibly close calls, yet no actual accidents. Then walking with our guide and taking a rickshaw ride through the narrow crowded streets of old Delhi was first. A boat ride during sunrise on the Ganges in Varanasi showed us the spiritualism of the people as they bathed in the holy river and performed cremations on the ghats. From there it was off to Agra and the Agra Fort, and next day sunrise at the Taj Mahal. We were lucky on the game drives in Ranthambore park and got to see two tigers. Then off to Jaipur for two more days of palaces, monuments, and history from our guide. I got sick on the last day and so we missed Udaipur, but Becky and SA Expeditions arranged for two more days at the hotel and a drive to Delhi for out flight home. And thanks to Jackie for setting the itinerary up just as I asked for, and for consulting with us before and after the trip. This was our second trip with SA Expeditions and hopefully won’t be our last.

WOW! Just got home yesterday from our trip to Peru and I am anxious to share our experience with SA. It was phenomenal, not just the scenery but the whole experience. Our guides and transportation were wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We were amazed by the tour stops and the content. I cant say enough about the Culinary Tour in Lima. The food, venues and information were exceptional. In the kitchen with the chef cooking lomo saltado, the best empanadas we have ever tasted at the bakery and ceviche and pisco sours prepared right in front of us. Especially interesting was the introduction to the food of Peru which allowed us to make knowledgeable food selections throughout the experience.Other outstanding highlights included an Alpaca farm and introduction to the differences in the weaving materials and dyes. This information helped us to make informed choices of Peruvian wares. What an interesting introduction to corn beer and a visit to local home business. A visit to the Larco Museum was amazing. I could go on and on.Did I mention that we loved the hotels and meal choices and the fact we had boarding passes and pre-paid entrance to all the places we visited and enjoyed.And, finally, we were thoroughly entranced by Lima, Cusco, Agua Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), the Sacred Valley and of course Machu Picchu and the Andes Mountains.Thank you and all the others that made our trip so memorable! It was outstanding!

We just returned for a fantastic trip to Patagonia which Jackie designed for us. From the time we first landed in Chile to the time we departed everything was fantastic and went with out a hitch. The Las Torres Lodge was fantastic. Lots of wonderful excursions, excellent guides and phenominal meals. It was the first time I have ever used a booking company to plan a trip and I could not have been more impressed. Jackie answered tons questions before, kept in touch during and we had a productive recap when we returned home. This was a GREAT trip - 3 weeks in South America, Chile and Argentina. With very detailed planning and monitoring of our flights, Adam and his team made this trip completely seamless. The planning, logistics, hotels/lodges, guides, drivers ... we cant say enough about how things went perfectly well. We landed in Buenos Aires from Canada, took a half day guided tour, and left a few days after for El Calafate to see the Perito Moreno glacier. We left here and went to Torres Del Paine: this drive ended up being in a snow storm but our driver was exceptional. We stayed at Explora which was a perfect fit for us: amazing food, good wine, guided hikes and the mountains. We spent a short layover in Santiago so took in a wine tour, before flying over to Mendoza where we stayed in the Uco Valley and spent a day wine touring again. With all logistics to get us to Igauzu Falls, this is where we ended the adventure. Thank you SA Expeditions. We are very happy customers and definitely see your value for any trip!

We went to Peru to see the Amazon and Macchu Picchu. We had an amazing time we loved the itinerary, the guides were so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The drivers did an excellent job and the sites were incredible! Rene was our first guide in the Amazon and he did a great job leading us on various expeditions. The cabanas we stayed at were perfect and the food was delicious! Johan was our guide from Cusco to Macchu Picchu, he seemed to know the answer to every question we had and really seemed invested in us gaining the most out of our trip. He was an excellent guide and we really appreciated his expertise on our tours. Macchu Picchu was incredible and beautiful and we loved learning about the history and culture. Our guide Miguel in Lima was also great he was very friendly and knowledgeable and wanted us to have the best experience we could have in our short time in Lima. We would definitely book another trip through SA and would recommend others to go through them as well.

Our trip to SA was spectacular!! We enjoyed every bit of it and undoubtedly the best trip weve ever been on. All the details of arrangements were very well thought out and documented in the link, for convenient reference (which we used quite often).The pickups were always on schedule and the hotels were well-appointed and located conveniently close to city centers for easy access to restaurants!! The tour guides were all outstanding and made every effort to show us all the attractions and went out of their way to please us. Their knowledge of the history and background of the attractions was very impressive. We were also touched by the few special events consisting of wine cheese service on the salt flats and sunsets.It took me a few hours to get used to the All Inclusive stops and they were great once I understood how they work, they were outstanding. All the hotels were great and some exceeded our expectations, such as the one at El Calafate, Los Torres, and San Pedro Atacama. I took a solo trip and needed help planning everything I wanted to do in the days I would be there. Hellen helped me plan everything I wanted to do in Peru. I spent 4 days in the Amazon, then Cusco, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. The resorts were lovely. The included meals were amazing. The drivers and guides were punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. Prior to the trip, I had a detailed itinerary and all the information I needed about what to pack, staying safe etc. Hellen was available before and during the trip for any questions that I had. My sister and I wanted to take a special trip for her special birthday. We decided to go to the place on our bucket list--Machu Picchu. We found Jackie Becker at SA Expeditions and were very pleased from the start. She listened to us and modified our itinerary according to our needs and wishes. Julia at SA Expeditions put together a custom itinerary for my group of four. I gave her a list of all the places we wanted to see in Patagonia within four weeks, and she managed all the complicated logistics. Everything worked out beautifully! Our drivers were on time and friendly, our accommodation was excellent, and our guides were top-notch. Julia was patient with me as I tweaked the itinerary here and there, and in the end the trip exceeded our expectations in every way. We had an excellent experience with SA Expeditions. From the first planning phases to the final travel program, we found Jackie Becker to be responsive and knowledgeable. She crafted a program that included all our points of interest and she adjusted it to fit our needs and time frame. The guides in each location have been most helpful and adaptable. My husband and I went to Peru for our 5-year wedding anniversary. We wanted to do something outdoorsy but also relaxing and romantic. We chose Peru for its beautiful culture, incredible food, and unbeatable excursions. Our trip planner, Julia, and our guide, Johan, were both absolutely amazing. The trip was perfectly planned from start to finish. We got to kick it in Lima and have delicious meals, explore and relax in the Sacred Valley, hike up the short Inca trail to Machu Picchu, and discover beautiful, ancient Cusco (hands-down the coolest city!). We felt so taken care of the entire week. We never felt rushed but still felt able to see and do everything that was important to us. The team was also flexible when we wanted to make adjustments on the fly. Julia understood our needs and made sure that our agenda was exactly what we wanted. Johan was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and a pleasure to spend the week with. We learned so much about the Incan culture from him and are so grateful to have had such a personal introduction to the country of Peru. I highly recommend SA Expeditions. They facilitated a wonderful trip to Brazil and Argentina. Communication was clear and timely, and we fully understood what to expect from start to finish. What I loved about using SA Expeditions is their commitment to use local resources. I had 3 private guides who had a tremendous amount of knowledge in their respective areas. I learned so much and have a decent understanding of the culture, nature, and inhabitants of Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. I didnt have to worry about anything with these guides. All were professional and handle things with ease. I didnt even have to worry about my luggage.Jackie was my agent. She was thorough with my itinerary and the details. She was constantly making adjustments as issues came up. She answered hundreds of my questions with patiences and provided helpful prep documents. Everything went smoothly with my domestic flights and international flight going home.

I have used SA for two different trips in the past 8 years and they have been absolutely fantastic each time. First we went to Peru/Machu Picchu and did the Salcantay Trail and the team organized a fantastic trip.Most recently, we went to Chile and Patagonia to do the W Trek. Matt was AMAZING in organizing our trip, answering all our questions, and making sure each of our needs, requests, and details were taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Peru and SA Expeditions organization, guides, and our itinerary. Of course, our highlight was hiking into Machu Picchu and up Huayna Picchu but wealso loved our waterfall hike. Marco is an outstanding guide. Marcos knowledge, passion and love for his country and its history made our trip especially memorable. The rapport he created with us made us feel like we were traveling with our amiable and interesting friend. Marco also offered excellent recommendations for our stay in Cusco. We want to compliment Nico who is a terrific driver; he and Marco made an excellent team!Our stay in Lima was also fun. Carlos is warm and professional. The city tour was informative and gave us a great overview of Lima; we really enjoyed the Largo Museum. The Gourmet Food Tour led by Patricia was a wonderful taste of Peru and we fell in love with Peruvian food!All the accommodations were fantastic! The Villa Barranco is the perfect location for exploring the neighborhood and the staff is exemplary, especially Monica!. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed the delicious breakfasts in the outdoor seating.Inkaterra Hacienda Urubama in the Sacred Valley was gorgeous and the view was magical! After a long waterfall hike, toasty water bottles at turndown were a pampering touch! The restaurant was also very good.Sumag in Agua Calientes was the perfect place to regroup after our hikes. We had a perfect trip to Argentina thanks to Julia at SA! We decided to go on this massive trip only days before, and Julia was able to put together an extensive itinerary to 4 different cities, with multiple flights, and secured us nice rooms in the best hotels. She was also able to switch our destinations around after we found out our flight to Argentina was delayed a day. We had a fantastic time and got to do all the things we wanted to. Every hotel was fantastic. Our BA hotel was exactly what we were looking for in Palermo, a cool part of town that feels a little more local than where the major hotel chains are; the resort in Bariloche was unbelievably beautiful right on the lake, and Llao llao was probably the coolest experience we have ever had. Guides and drivers met us at the airport. We speak Spanish but we definitely didn’t need to as all of our guides were fluent in both. This was our first time using a travel agency and we would definitely do it again. Julia truly went above and beyond in her recommendations, and we are grateful she even worked outside of business hours to make our last minute changes happen seamlessly.

Weve just returned from the trip of a lifetime with SA Expeditions and couldnt have been more pleased. Claudia put together a custom package that included an Amazon cruise on the Delfin III, and time in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Palccoyo mountain, and Lima. Every single detail was handled smoothly from the moment we connected with Claudia. Transfers were friendly and efficient, and both the Delfin III and our hotels were first class. Our expectations for the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu trip were met and far exceeded. From the time we arrived in Lima until our departure from Cusco, our travel experience could not have been more seamless. At every stage, someone was there to assist us and troubleshoot any issues.The quality of the hotels in each of the three cities was superb. We were impressed with the quality of camping gear provided, including the tents, air mattresses, sleeping bags and liners. We noticed that the trail team was provided with gear of similar high quality; porters with other companies were often not so fortunate.Of course, the highlight of the trip was our hike on the Royal Inca Trail and the tour of Machu Picchu. Our team included head chef, Flavio, whose meals on the trail were outstanding. His culinary talents would compare favorably with anyone, anywhere. Our team of porters, led by Demecio, were hardworking, friendly, eager to serve, and functioned well as a team. We felt fortunate to have this specific support group.The entire team was directed by our guide, Evert Quispe. Evert is a natural leader who fostered an atmosphere of collegiality and enthusiasm in the overall group, which included us. Evert’s passion for Inca history and the traditional culture of Quechua people was evident, freely shared and much appreciated. We valued his skill as a guide and enjoyed his easygoing personality as well as his sense of humor. Each day, he helped us set a pace that was comfortable for us. He displayed companionship with porters and guides from other companies by offering words of encouragement and even sharing snacks. By the end of our time with him, we felt he was more than a guide; he was a friend as well.Our only suggestion to SA Expeditions would be to advise future travelers that in order to use ATM’s, they should bring debit cards as opposed to ATM cards. Another option is to be sure that their credit cards have the cash advance feature activated.In summary, we had a wonderful experience due to the hard work and enthusiasm of all those involved. We were really struggling to plan our trip to the Galapagos Islands, after trying to book ourselves and then engaging various travel agents based on recommendations and referrals, all were a bust.A tripadvisor review mentioned SA Expeditions and after I reached out blind, Adam Laughter got back to me right away and we were quickly on our way towards booking this bucket list trip! Adam quickly gained my trust, with his proactive, responsive communication and obvious knowledge of the Galapagos. We kept throwing curve ball requests, and Adam was so gracious and able to accommodate everything! Finding solutions and offering recommendations. Including helping us to avoid the 3 hour ferry crossing as one in our group is prone to seasickness. Housing was running out, and Adam found truly fabulous hotels for our group! Honestly he removed all the stress and allowed us to calm down and relax and enjoy the process of preparing for our trip! Julia helped us organize a wonderful week in Argentine Patagonia. We started our trip with two nights at Chalten Camp. Great views of Mount Fitz Roy. We did most of the Laguna de los Tres trek. Our guide correctly predicted heavy rain in the late afternoon so we skipped the climb to the lagoon. Still walked 18k.Highlight of the trip was three nights at Aguas Arrriba. Hosts made us feel as we were visiting their home which is located in a fantastic spot. Enjoyed great treks with our guide Diego. Magical trees, glaciers, waterfalls. Morning and afternoon walks with good lunches at the lodge. A private paradise for serious walkers.Finished with two nights in El Calafate. Enjoyed the Pioneros tour. We were part of a group of seven. SA planned and coordinated a fascinating trip to Peru. They perfectly synchronized my Inca Trail Trek with my wifes separate tour which was booked through another operator. It was seamless airport to Andes service. Perus combination of geography, culture and natural history is wonderfully intertwined. Above all, the people of Peru are the highlight. SA trail team leader Max Loayza was knowledgeable, personable and experienced. Max represents SA extremely well and always had my best interests in mind. Trail Chef Flavio prepared amazing meals from a micro kitchen and all porters were strong, focused and a joy to hike with. This itinerary began with two day hikes on other portions of the Inca Trail followed by the classic four day Inca Trail trek terminating at Machu Picchu. Climbing Huayna Picchu on the final day sealed it.

The hotel was definitely 5 star and it was great to be able to just walk out the door and right into Machu Picchu. Chile trip with SA ExpeditionsOur trip with SA expeditions was coordinated by Jackie. Jackie was very communicative and helpful in arranging the trip, assisting us while we were traveling and then following up on the trip went.Our trip started with a night at the Holiday Inn at the Santiago airport. It was a nice hotel and exceptionally convenient for an early morning flight the next day. We flew from Santiago to Calama and met our guide for the next four days, Roberto with Gato Andino. He was very enthusiastic and friendly; he took good care of us while we visited. The transfer to our hotel, La Casa De Don Tomas in San Pedro de Atacama, was the beginning of our tour. Over the next few days, we saw the Chaxa Lagoon in the Atacama Salt flats (wonderful flamingoes), the town of Toconao, the Valley of the Moon, the Tatio Geysers, the town of Machuca, Vados de Putana (with many birds) and Valle de la Cactus. Roberto recommended two restaurants – Jardin Meraki for lunch and Adobe for dinner. Both were excellent. We had a nice transfer back to the airport in Calama for our flight to Santiago.We relaxed for our first late afternoon in Santiago. We stayed at Solace Santiago which was a very nice hotel. One minor problem we had that was unresolved was that the AC never was really effective while we were there in a Santiago heat wave. The next day we had a day trip to Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. That was the only disappointing day. Our guide, Pablo, seemed to only be going through the motions. While he may have had a bad day, it did not mean that he could not have conveyed some enthusiasm to us during the day. I will leave it at that.Our final day was a tour of Santiago with our second Roberto. That extended morning tour was a complete reversal from the prior day. Roberto was enthusiastic, informative and communicative. He made the city tour of Santiago very interesting as we saw – the presidential palace, the cathedral, the central market, Plaza de Armas and Santa Lucia hill. The highlight was a visit to a local park where we saw some very interesting birds.Overall, I would recommend SA Expeditions and expect to use them again in the future.

My experience with SA Expeditions has been reliably excellent. We traveled to the Amazon and the Galapagos July 2023. Claudia planned the trip with care and all tours, guides, accommodations were wonderful. The Napo Wildlife Eco-Lodge was beautiful, food was plentiful and delicious, the resort rooms were well appointed and the guides were helpful and interesting. My granddaughters were spellbound by the jungle and even got a little used to the bugs! The Galapagos cruise with the Ocean Spray was even better than the last time I was aboard in 2019. The catamaran has been refurbished but all the great things about it are still present. The staff was helpful, fun and their attention to details made me comfortable entrusting my teenage granddaughters in their care during snorkeling and kayaking in the ocean! Food was excellent and the naturalist guide was informative and serious about showing us his islands. All the transfers, air flights and tours were planned and seamless. Informative Journey into South American CultureFollowing our cancelled trip to the Middle East, we were left with two weeks to plan another Itinerary. We came across SA Expeditions after doing a web search into South America. I emailed and soon after we were talking to an extremely knowledgeable travel representative from SA Expeditions. After two lengthy phone conversations, SA Expeditions was able to confirm every detail of our trip in spite of such short notice. SA Expeditions put together an amazing Itinerary that focused on the natural, historical and cultural highlights of each place we visited.Other than the amazing places we visited in Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, Buenos Aires, the Machu Picchu region and Lima, Peru, what most impressed us was the quality of the individual guides that were assigned us at each location. We were met at the airport and whisked away to our hotel for a good nights sleep or to begin our tour. Following the end of our tours in each location, we were once again escorted to the airport and accompanied until we went through security. There was never a moment of stress or anxiety as we were guided throughout our time in South America. The level of knowledge and expertise of the local guides was second to none. Not only did we learn about the local sight seeing highlights but we also learned a great deal about the history, culture and present day living situations within each area we visited. When we parted from each of our guides, we felt we were saying goodbye to a friend!Would I recommend SA Expeditions again? Absolutely!!

Our trip with SA Expeditions to Peru was fantastic, starting with the planning process 7 months before we left the US. Helen got on the phone with us to talk about the kind of things we like and don’t like and incorporated our feedback into a very special itinerary. Each of the hotels we stayed in were lovely and we could have spent a week in several of them.Our guide in Lima, Carlos, was very knowledgeable and shared his restaurant and shopping recommendations for the evenings we had on our own. He helped us appreciate the city much more than we would have otherwise.Our trip to the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cuzco was magical, made all the more special by our guide, Johan. He accompanied us for the entire week, taking the train with us to and from Machu Picchu and explaining everything we saw along the way in excellent English. Johan took us off the beaten path a few times, such as visiting a Chicheria in a small village in the Sacred Valley, and he always knew the best way to avoid crowds at the tourist sites. We really enjoyed his company, which is very important when spending so much time with another person. Our driver, Gilberto, was pretty great too.From what we could tell, SA goes out of its way to support the communities we visited, including having an intern join us for a day of touring in Cuzco. We would definitely recommend SA to anyone visiting Peru or elsewhere in South America.

Was an outstanding trip. I asked to see a demonstration of blackstrap weaving as I am a weaver and they were able to accommodate this request. They were unable to get me into a class as the master wasn’t holding classes at the time I requested but if he had been I am sure they would have arranged for that to happen. They were also able to get me on two tours that were exploring the two places I wanted to go( the Galapagos and the Amazon Rain Forest). The level of customer service was outstanding. We had the most amazing time on our journey through Argentina, Antarctica, and Chile! Claudia was wonderful to work with and organized an itinerary that met everything we wanted to do. The guide that met us at the airport and provided us with transportation and a tour of Quito was outstanding. The flights were great, no issues whatsoever. The boat was dated and lost an engine early in the trip but the crew and naturalist more than made up for it. As for highlights, I think that the biggest take away for me was the fact that the animals on the island were free from predators, on land not in the water, and were able to be their best. Sea Lions slept where they wanted, birds laid nests where they wanted, it was truly unique. One event I will mention was the very last snorkeling trip, we were able to PLAY with several juvenile sea lions in the water – they broke the 2 meter rule not us!

We hiked the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with SA Expeditions and it was an incredible experience. They took care of all the moving pieces, including all the many tickets and permits and all the transportation we needed over two days. Our guide, Juan Oscar, was amazing and really made the experience for us. We booked a 16-day trip to Peru and Ecuador through SA—great experience.In Peru, highlights included a day trip to Palccoyo; a day hiking Choquechaca & Pumamarka; and (of course) Machu Picchu. Palccoyo was a hidden gem, far surpassing our expectations. While the day trip to these rainbow mountains is long, the scenery en route is beautiful and it’s worth the drive. Visiting Choquechaca and spending time with the community (Valentine and fam) was such a fun day and they were such lovely people; would definitely recommend working this into any itinerary. Machu Picchu also surpassed expectations, and we added on a hike of Huayna Picchu because WHY NOT.In Ecuador/the Galapagos, we decided to do a land-based stay instead of a cruise. SA partnered with the Galapagos Safari Camp to make our stay amazing and memorable. We were in the Galapagos for about five full days, and went scuba diving for two days, did day trips to other islands for two days, and explored the main island (Santa Cruz) for one day. Galapagos Safari Camp was a great location with five-star service, incredible food and hospitality. Can’t go wrong in the Galapagos except to not stay long enough (we agreed we could have easily spent another day or two there).Planning-wise, Sarah with SA made our lives so easy and tolerated our requests every step of the way, and more importantly, she made them happen! She was always ready to provide us with options, information and an updated itinerary. A process so suspiciously easy we thought it was too good to be true, but it wasn’t! She checked in with us up until our trip departure, kept tabs on us throughout the trip (even when we didn’t know it), and followed up with us after. We covered a large area on our trip that included lots and lots of transfers, hotels, flights, etc., and we didn’t have one hiccup.Our SA guides in each city were great. Whether we were with them for one day or nearly a week, I was always sad to say goodbye! They are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and they each tolerated my terrible sense of humor for the duration of the trip. We just completed South America Tour for 19 days. It covered three countries, Brazil, Argentina and Peru. We customized our tour. We were five couples. Below is my reasoning for giving five stars to SA Expeditions:• Our tour was booked for travel in April 2020. However, we could not travel because of COVID. SA Expeditions took care of all cancellations and rebooked us for new travel dates in 2022. We did not pay anything extra for our new travel dates.• We made several changes to our itinerary, such as adding 3 days for Amazon Forest. Julia recommended and accommodated all our changes.• We had 6 internal flights, several train rides and a bus ride. We had no issues with any of the connections. For internal flights within South America, all our boarding passes were kept ready.• All tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the people and places that we were visiting. They were speaking English fluently. All of them were professional and courteous.• Despite of our unique dietary needs, where some of us are vegan and some were not eating onions and garlic, we had absolutely no issues getting our unique vegetarian meal.• For one internal flight, we paid extra money for luggage. SA Expedition agreed to reimburse these costs.Among all places that we stayed, we liked Wish resort in Iguazu, Inkaterra in Puerto Maldonado, and Antigua Casona San Blas in Cuzco.I would say SA Expeditions is one of the best when it comes to your travel needs in South America. The things that stand out for me are the hotels, especially the hotel in Cusco, which we LOVED, the seemingly seamless transfers from place to place, and the wonderful guides. We just got home after the most epic trip to the Galapagos, thanks to Adam and his team at SA Expeditions.
