Ron was our first contact with this exceptional company, and he definitely set the tone for our entire experience with his professionalism, courtesy, knowledge and patience as he answered all our questions and concerns. Alfredo Covarrubias & Matthew, the two installers, sent from Rowland Air, to install my new AC & Furnace, Lennox, were very professional and knowledgeable. They were both very neat, clean & personable. They worked very hard and until the evening, for three days. Freddy was an efficient & professional technician. He called when he was in route, arrive timely, kept me informed about every aspect about what he was doing Including what was needed and not needed. From the time I inquire from a representative at Costco till the time they are done with their work was a great experience. My wife and myself was just going to grab few items in Costco when I inquire with ROWLAND’s, next was a visit to check our existing unit, Eric came in and explained thoroughly everything to us. The problem with our existing AC, our options, financing etc. We were convinced and ready to have Rowland do the job to say least after the first visit. It was a big job, as a home owner you have all the worries how they going to go about the work process. When the day arrive to work they make it look so easy: Jeff, Nick, Curtis, Rafa and Ismael. Everyone work in- sync, everyone knows their part of the process. They even encourage us to ask question if we have any. Rowland has a high standard when it comes to Air Conditioning and Heating a true professional.

Just had my furnace installed by rowland, the technicians, alano and robert were very professional, they installed the furnace professionally and sealed all the vent as well as installed insulations from the air intake, they tidy up the work area and clean out everything. Also kudos to Jorge, the sales rep, his courtesy and professionalism started all this. Thanks rowland. I make sure to put good words to all my friends in the area for the good work done.

This is my second experience with Rowland air. I had a great experience with them last year when they tuned up my hvac heater. Staff is friendly and professional. They also guided me with the purchase of air filters. Yesterday, Joaquin tuned up and checked my a/c in preparation for summer. He gave me good advice on how to keep my unit working great. A friend recommended Rowland air to me last year and I would also recommend them to others.

They installed our A/C unit last summer. Great service and very professional. They patiently explained all the options and helped me pick the best option and the installation process great.Recently, I wanted to see if there is anything we can do to reduce the noise coming from the unit. Jesse was very helpful in this regard. We ended up installing blanket and an additional part that helped reduce the noise quite a bit.Great people to work with. Highly recommended!

This was routine A/C maintenance performed with professionalism, excellence, and great care, but it also included several important suggestions for decreasing the likelihood or frequency of future failures. Placing the initial call was easy. The person on the phone was accommodating and friendly. The technician, Jesse, is personable and knowledgeable. He did appear during the allotted window, was friendly and professional. He explained in detail the issue with my furnace and gave me the options. Lowe’s had a special for AC inspection for $29.95 that I signed up for and the technician showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. He did a thorough inspection and shared his findings. Here is where the problem is. I needed a part (capacitor) which I opted to have replaced, it ended up costing me $464. I found out later that that part could be bought for less than $100 and replaced easily by me. My bad on not doing research before committing, but I feel this company way overcharged me for this service. Beware of them!

The technician who came just turned on the circuit breaker and did not stay long enough to make sure cold air is coming out from ac. Technician said electrical issues but if ac is powered on then why would technician say electrical issues. He did not diagnose if there are other issues why ac was not blowing cold air. The service call was ac not working so no air. As the person who is ac expert, he assumed that because he turned on the circuit breaker, his job was done but did not resolve the main service call was ac not working and no air. As a non technician, I would not know to check the circuit breaker that is why I called for service.

Jesse from Rowland Air arrived between the expected service appointment time and went right to work. He explained what he would do during the AC service inspection and described the condition of the unit upon completion of the maintenance check. Jesse determined the capacitor fell out of the acceptable tolerance and would have to replace the capacitor. He showed me the test results displayed on his VOM and explained the reason for replacing the part. Jesse inspected the furnace in the attic and performed a carbon monoxide check in the home. He replaced the filter and vacuumed the grate on the return air enclosure. I appreciated Jesse’s professional demeanor and attitude and going the extra mile during the service call.

We had our HVAC replaced (A/C, Furnace, ducting) by Rowland Air near the end of March 2023 (via Costco), and the experience from the initial consultation through post-install services have been 1st class.Ron Moodie was our sales consultant and we knew we had our guy even before going through the same process with 2 other companies. He was thorough, thoughtful and insightful well beyond Rowlands competitors.The installation was carried out by Ishmael (spelling might be off) and his crew of 4 to 5 over 2 days and the process was planned and executed seamlessly. They were on time each morning, did their best to cover-up our furniture from debris (from the ductwork in our attic and cutting out new vents), and cleaned up after themselves. Most importantly, they were courteous and always made the effort to explain what they were about to do and answer all of our questions.Lastly, Rowlands front office team (starting with Lindsay) have always responded quickly and professionally to our inquiries / questions, whether it was by email or phone. It was comforting to know all phone conversations are recorded as well. This level of best practices by an SMB is often difficult to find, and is also why I hope to maintain a long working relationship with Rowland Air.

I reached out to 4 different HVAC companies. While all the quotes were relatively close I decided to go with Rowland. The reason was simple. The other 3 companies just came out look at what I had and told me what I needed then gave me a price. Scott from Rowland came out looked at what I had and then spent almost 2 hours going over different pricing and options. One of the major things he covered was the permit requirement with subsequent follow up by a 3rd party to make sure the work was done according to the new laws. Not one of the other 3 companies even mentioned the need for a permit nor what laws needed to be followed to be in compliance. Scott made it easy to pick a company that I feel comfortable with and they’re also backed by Costco. Called 8 weeks ago for my annual a/c units tuneup that Rowland sold us (3 ton and 4 ton) over $10,000. We had an appt for wed may 16th. I prepaid for preventative maintenance a year in advance and booked an appointment two months before the service date. They confirmed the appointment the day before the service date, only to cancel on the day of and push it to two months later. Rowlands swapped out my 2 x 30+ years old HVAC systems (a 4 ton and a 2.5 ton system), both failed at the same time, with modern and more energy efficient systems. Rowlands was 1 of 3 contractors I was considering. One of the 3 was ridiculously high. Rowlands bid was not the lowest. There was only a couple hundred dollars difference with the lowest bidder. Rowlands offered duct sealing as an additional service that was not included in the other bids. Hence why I considered Rowlands slightly higher bid to be more on par with the lower bid. And Rowlands mentioned that I may be eligible for a tax credit, something their competitors failed to mention. Ultametly I selected Rowlands because of the significant amount of time they took to answer the tough hard sell questions instead of the usual soft sell techniques as to why I should choose them over their competitors. Jorge, their Home Improvement Specialist, was extremely competent, patient and spent over 5 hours inspecting and assessing what my options were. He very patiently answeried all my excruciating detailed questions and concerns. It took me a few days to compare all the bids and get answers to follow up questions .Jorge responded to all my follow-up questions in a very timely manner, via voice and text, throughout the whole process, even past business hours and on weekends. Thank you Jorge. Id also like to give a shout out to Austyn. He worked with me past business hours to ensure I received the $750 rebate offer on the day I signed the contract. A Rowlands did 2 x on-site job walk through inspections to confirm Jorges assessment and ensure their scope of work will meet all county code requirements. Jorge attended the 2nd walk through, even though he was not required to, upon my request. Even the President and CEO of the company personally called me, after I already signed the contract, to express his appreciation for my military service and as a retired, 100% disabled veteran. I never requested to speak with him so his call was an unexpected surprise. His call made a huge difference to me and gave me a great deal of peace of mind that I selected the right company. I dont think any other President of any other company wouldve taken the time to do call me after the sale was closed and contract signed. Andrew, their on-site installation supervisor, was very polite, knowledgeable and professional and would take time to answer my questions and kept me informed on their progress every step of the way. I did my due diligence. I got 3 x bids, researched their business license and the licenses of each employee on the Contractors State Licensing Board to ensure they were current and valid. I checked they were bonded, made sure they were not a party to any legal action, made sure they were not under investigation due to any code or ethical violations and read all the reviews (good and bad) on Yelp. I had a great deal of anxiety because, to me, this was a major purchase, and can cause further damage to my home if not correctly installed. Bottom line, if you are in need of a HVAC company, I highly recommend Rowlands. They are cost competitive,respond to all questions in a timely manner. They remain engaged with the customer from the installer all the way up to the President of the company. They treated me like I was their only customer vs just another customer which greatly eased much of my anxiety over this major purchase. Dear Mr. Rowland,I am customer of your company since March 2019, when I had my AC system, furnace, and ducting done. I went through Lowes and spent over $11,000 for overhauling the whole system. Your guys did a great job and we were very pleased with the install.However, 1 year and 5 months later, my AC system goes out and heres where things have just gone downhill. A technician from Rowland Air came out and did a leak test and found the coil in the attic had been leaking. I was informed the part was under warranty but the labor had expired after 1 year. The cost to replace the coil would be $1600. Not only that, the cost to have done the leak inspection was $323. I paid the $323 and requested the part to be reordered under warranty.From that point, I contacted Lowes and all they managed to do was contact Rowland Air and have the $323 I already paid deducted from the $1600. I think this is standard business practice whether its a car repair or home repair to absorb the cost of the initial inspection as part of the labor cost for repair/replacement, so it really didnt seem like they did anything. Lowes then advised me to contact Lennox, who was the manufacturer of this AC system, to see what they could do to help with the labor costs.I went ahead and contacted Lennox waiting on hold for over an hour and finally when I spoke to someone, I was told the part was made by a sister company, ADP, and was directed to call them. I called ADP and left a voicemail and heard back a few days later saying they could not do anything for labor. I reached out to Lowes again and have basically been told there is nothing more they can do.I called Rowland Airs office this past Saturday and vented my frustration with this lack of customer service. I felt that I shouldnt be the one having to call around everywhere and it should be Rowland Air that provides customer service to me as their customer. I was told no one from management was available and shed take a message and get back to me. Today is Wednesday night and I have yet to receive any callback from your office.At this point, I have the coil replacement scheduled for 9/10 with Rowland Air. As much as I hate to do this and leave a bad review (which I rarely do), there seems to be no other way to get any help in customer service from Rowland Air. How can a company with contracts from Costco and Lowes treat their customer this way? Ive spent over $11,000 just 1 year and 5 months ago and Im left to pay this $1600 out of my own pocket? Thats not what customer service is about. The reason I went with Lowes and Rowland Air was because I thought if I ran into a situation like this, there would be excellent customer service willing and ready to take care of me. Instead, Im left disappointed by your companys lack of service.Its unfortunate it has come to this, but youve essentially lost me as a customer. Rowland Air installed our new HVAC in our home seven years ago and has maintained it ever since. They are very knowledgeable and professional. We highly recommend them for any heating and A/C needs you might have.June 2021- Just had our spring maintenance in advance of the summer heat. The technician was very thorough and knowledgeable. We interviewed 4 other companies. Rowland was by far the most professional and offered us a 2 step solution starting with new duct installation to see how that addressed our problem. All the others only offered a full hvac replacement. Rowlànd said you need to do the ducts regardless so just start with this and see how it goes- you can. do the remainder later if needed . the cost will be the same either way - we just may not need full replacement. no other company thought to address this in such a manner possible saving us about $20k right now

I have my AC system serviced by Rowland Air yearly. This was the first time Jesse serviced my system. Jesse arrived on time and was very professional for the outset. He explained exactly what he planned to do to my system and went right to work. I saw that his work habits were neat and methodical and he explained his findings throughout the service. He discovered some minor issues with my system and provided recommendations. He was pleasant and approachable as he answered my questions without hesitation. Overall great experience.

We originally used Rowland to service our old HVAC system that had unusual parts. It wasn’t an easy system to service. Rowland was able to handle it.We eventually purchased a new dual zoned Lennox HVAC system in 2020 that required a major amount of updated venting in the attic. This was a major install taking several days. The design and installation went smoothly as did the permit process. All the vents required programming. They then worked with me to change programming on some vents based on personal preferences. Rowland has serviced my system ever since.I do have one continuing complaint, and that is the excessive wait time for service. They are good, so they are very busy. I need to wait 5-6 days every time I need service. The system itself is very reliable, but Lennox pushes updates via wifi that sometimes affect my dual system settings. That wait is sometimes a very big problem for me, because I have a major autoimmune system disorder that affects my ability to regulate my body temperature. Excessive heat or cold can trigger a major weeks-long episode. The wait is usually not a big deal, but when my entire system is down, it’s a major health issue for me.It would be helpful if they would develop an “emergency” payment tier for people with temperature related diseases.

I had both an AC unit and Heating unit installed by Rowland. The installations had a number of problems. Within 7 months of installation the AC system was not working and the diagnosis was a bad installation of the circuit breaker. Despite this I had to pay $125 to have it put right. Not what I expected based upon the Costco sales contract.The service manager at Rowland Heating and Air contacted me directly and took care of the matter. They took off the charge for my service given the circumstances. I really appreciated the help and follow up.

12_19-20 I had a service call today for a little vent in ductwork and they showed up exactly on time and Gabriel did an excellent job. Im going to have some future work coming up and Rowland air will get it.So they called me up for a service call and I said why not.where I thought they were going to do a service check on both my heating and air conditioning units, it turned out that the special was only for one, the heater. I had him do both and paid the extra money. Rick was we real good and updated my systems and told me what I was going to need to get done and showed me why and it was a worthwhile education. I like the fact that he was honest, which exemplifies the entire company. I was very happy with the results. And it appears in a couple months he will have to come back and update part of my heating unit and keep me healthy. I recommend them.

This was my first time using Rowland to address an air conditioning problem. Rowland came with several highly recommended referrals, of which, I can honestly say was a great decision to contact them for my repair.Eric, the technician, was extremely professional and skilled in resolving the issue upon his immediate inspection. Excellent job, the guys were professional, fast and efficient. We’ve had the unit for 2 days and can’t believe how quiet it is. Obviously Rowland is a very busy business as they have a lot of 5 star reviews on yelp however I would have say 3.5 stars. They arrived after my scheduled 3 hour block and then when choosing an emailed receipt for services, got their covid policy instead? Jesse was very conscientious. He explained every aspect of the investigation and the fix to my heater and let me watch the entire process. He also educated me about the difference in the effectiveness of various filters available for my unit and informed me about the Rowland’s annual maintenance plans and how they tie in with my manufacturer’s warranty, and he also informed me of LADWP’s free A/C Optimization Program. He took his time and checked my system 7-10x to make sure he located the problem and fixed it completely. He was very patient with my questions, and I had many. I was really pleasantly surprised with Rowland and would definitely use them again.

I have had a Great Experience with Rowland when, purchasing both Heating & Air Conditioning units. It continued with the installation, and today, with a service call by Technician Rick Caron. As I am a senior (81), I especially appreciate Ricks patience in explaining his expertise and knowledge so that I may better understand the process of the problem. Rick called me twice to let me know when he was on his way, so I knew when I could expect him. I applaud him, and also, for the Great Customer Service from the entire Rowland staff!
