Breakfast is really good. You can also call ahead and your food will be ready when you get there. For BREAKFAST, try the Cali Fried and for LUNCH try the Jalepeno Melt. For dessert you have to try the Hazelnut Strawberry Croissant. Happy Eating!!!!
Small but very cute cafe. We arrived around 10:45 am and didn’t realize they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 am! But not to worry they have an all day breakfast menu! The food was great and we weren’t disappointed!
Nice selection of sandwiches, also different flavors than in the usual sandwich places. Inside the place looks contemporary but has an empty hall feeling, and music was playing way too loud. Make it a take away or eat outside.
This restaurant is small. No more than 5 tables in the whole restaurant. They do have a bar where you can sit to eat which might hold up to ten people. They have a limited menu here but they do have a board with specials for each day of the week. Google said they were open until 4:00 PM but the sign on the door says 3:30 PM. The prices seem reasonable to me. Ordered a pesto club sandwich; was given no option for what bread I wanted. They do have bottled water, Mexican coke, pellegrino, perrier, etc. They have a decent panini machine. I liked my sandwich. The music was loud.
Excellent menu, excellent decor, exceptionally clean, expert staff, astonishingly great food with exceptional price range. The beef lamb gyro with fritters a plate must be tried. The gyro meal cost is $ 10.85 but worth a try. Hats off!!!!
I felt that it was time for change from eating at a typical fast food chain restaurant, so I searched on the internet. After looking over a few of the results I decided the Rue-Meli Café had a very intriguing menu, which made me feel that it would be worth to give it a try. When I arrived, I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and the Italian roasted coffee. The burrito was made while I waited, so when it was served to me it was nice and hot. The Italian coffee was new to me, but it was quite good. The burrito was very good and I did like that the tortilla was grilled on all sides. I was very pleased with the food, the appearance of the café and the friendliness of the persons that worked there. I do intend to return again for lunch or for breakfast. I do highly recommend that you stop in and give this place a try.
The food is okay, a bit over priced for sandwiches. I had a chicken sandwich two weeks ago, i became violently ill shortly after consumption. Needless to say, i wont be going back.Its close to the office and there arent a lot of other places that are walking distance. Wish i would have just had the usual habit burger the day i got sick from their food. I had to pull over on my drive home, otherwise i wouldnt have made it and probably would have puked all over my car.

Rou-Meli Cafe is one of the gems in Oxnard. When I do I am reminded that places like this deserve to stay in this city. This cafe is tucked away in the buildings next to the Morgan Stanley building. Anyone that works there is lucky to have access to this place for breakfast, and lunch.Please come visit. It wont disappoint.
Coming from out of state.Stopped in for some lunch, and was extremely impressed with the ladies customer service. They recommended the items I should try and wasn’t disappointed. Friendly staff . 5 stars on service and food.
My daughter took me here when we were down in that area and we had been looking for an hour for a place to eat at and she just happened to find us oh my gosh it is well worth the search for this place I was an absolute heaven with a burrito akali California burrito but I had mine vegetarian style and I use their homemade salsa there oh my God I was in hog heaven and I had decaf coffee the best decaf coffee I ever had a hundred times better than the name brand out there on the main drag I love this place I cant say enough good about it and the owner was awesome
The food was very good. I had the spicy beef sausage bowl. Had the service been friendly I would have given 5 stars. Not friendly at all.
I went in and ordered a breakfast sandwich...the man who took my order looked at me all crazy and confused (I asked for my sandwich without egg...). Id ordered it to go, when it was ready, he was about to just hand me my sandwich, no bag or thanks for coming in or anything. It was the most awkward service (if I can even call it service), Ive ever been subjected to. Which is a shame, I wanted to like this place since its walking distance from where I live.
Does not disappoint BUT, theyve recently changed the menu. I liked the old menu better dont know if Ill be back. Otherwise it would have been a solid 5 star.

The bacon breakfast burrito had great flavor with the tater tots inside. Good customer service and I love the decor/atmosphere. Purse hooks beneath the low bar seating are convenient.

2018-02-13 03:31:59If you want to find Rou-Meli Cafe it can best be described to be located right next to the tallest blue building at Vinyard and the101 by the tall blue JP Morgan building, also next door to The Habit...within that same shopping center.its kind of got a specialty market as that and the habit are positioned in the perfect place for all the executives and staff in the JP Morgan and other offices close by.I had the Albacore Tuna MeltRou-Melis signature Albacore tuna salad with provolone cheese and mayo on a toasted and stuffed between sourdough bread. it was perfect and a lot of tuna salad nice and moist with the crunch of celery just the way i like it! oh, and served with Kettle chips.Elizabeth had theCali PestoHam or Turkey, avocado, bacon, cheddar, spinach, tomato, onions with pesto aioli on whole wheat. also served with Kettle chips.She said it was the bomb and took half home only to lose it to our 17 year old as she ran out the door.definitely will come back!

2017-04-01 20:27:42Yesterday I saw this place when I went to The Habit and was waiting for my order. Their sign said gyros, and I havent had a good gyro in over twenty years. I decided to risk it.Im not clear why they included french fries in it, but I pulled them out and ate them separate. The pita was incredible, the meat was marinated exactly right, the tsatziki looked and tasted fresh homemade, and the crisp sliced onions provided exactly the right texture and flavor. When I get a craving for a good gyro, this is where Ill go. I wound up not eating my double cheese, but my dogs appreciated that.

2018-03-18 21:10:27Okay, Rou-Meli is one of my daughter-in-laws favorite lunch spots. It was also rated by the Ventura County Reporter as one of the best new restaurants in 2017. So, of course, we had to try it out. Rou-meli is nestled in the Topa Tower business park on Vineyard, by the tallest tower, in Oxnard California. Its a small restaurant with a few outdoor tables and they boast a combination of Greek and Artisan creations.I had their Steak, Bacon and Cheese Melt. It normally comes on a chibatta bread but I ordered it on the brioche bun. It was full of the flavors of cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli, and bacon, but, the steak was cooked into almost a chili, very unique. I think the chibatta would have held up better than the brioche bun, but the sandwich was tasty just the same.Their chips were crisp, fresh and cooked darker brown which I love cuz theyre so crispy. I ate my entire sandwich and, with the help of my grandkids, ate most of the chips, which is unheard of for me.My daughter-in-law had a Baja Chicken Melt with bacon and cheddar cheese on a brioche bun, she actually normally orders it on whole wheat, but we decided to go with the way out comes. The combination of Greek spiced grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar and American cheeses and caramelized onions with the chipotle aioli was rich, tangy and creamy all asy the same time. The Orzo Pasta Salad with olive oil, oregano, vinegar, cranberries and goat cheese could have been a meal by itself, in fact I ate the leftovers for lunch the next day.My son had their Greek Gyro which was made traditionally with thinly sliced lamb and beef, onions, tomato, tzatziki sauce and pommes frites all wrapped in a pita. I am prejudice because I love Greek food but everyone at our table agreed that the Greek spices and flavors blended beautifully and the taste was mouth watering. I dont think there was a disappointed tastebud in the group. The prices are between $8-15 for lunch and breakfast is between $5-8. They cater as well.

2018-04-08 20:16:55First time here. I love in SF Bay now. Came here to meet old friends. Very nice and quaint. Know as a coffee shop, but also some good breakfast and sandwich choices. I had the ham and egg sandwich meal with tater tots. Very hearty. My son had bacon croissant sandwich. Friend had croissant with nutella. Everyone was very satisfied. Id recommend it.

I eat here everyday if I get the chance.Ive tried most everything on the menu and it is all fresh and delicious.The Nutella croissant is a delicious dessert. Speaking of desserts, all of their pastries are the best and freshest I have ever eaten.Love the atmosphere and people.

We will definitely be back again. The staff was very helpful and made some excellent recommendations.Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.
