It was good experience. I want to mention that we didn’t wait much time for our order, just maybe 7-10 min max. I love this salmon bagel, so delicious. On the menu various different opinions, and we processed 5 min on it😂 I like the location, pretty walkable place. Parking and restrooms are behind the building.

My first visit to this bakery cafe. Visited on a Saturday morning. Was very busy. I simply wanted a pecan roll, so went to order counter. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Line moved at a steady pace. Got my outstanding pecan roll in about 15 minutes. Ill have to return to try their breakfasts in the patio.

Was extremely busy at around 10am on a Saturday, but was still able to order quickly and got my food quick as well. Food was fresh and tastes great. Service was good for the amount of people that were there. They have an very large selection of food choices and beverages. Seating mostly outdoor and some indoor. Definitely recommend this spot!

By far the greatest bakery in Southern California! The donuts are out of this world and so fresh! I highly recommend visiting this location! Anything on their menu is top notch! Our favorites are the croissant sandwich, Old fashion donut, and any of the donuts that are filled with Bavarian cream or raspberry! The prices are reasonable and the customer service is really great! Everyone is so friendly! The design of the atmosphere is so darling and quaint and it’s so nice to have the option to either sit outside or inside!

Used to like this place then they remodeled it to some standardized hyper retail spot that has lost its allure. Obnoxious music to that’s a bit loud and then they didn’t even upgrade to the commercial free version. Post eating update:*The ordering process is bad the tvs are so far away you can’t see them and the only option they give you is a single paper menus that’s been passed around for the last month.*It took a while for the person behind the register to figure out my order.*They ran out of dressing and told me 10min after I sat down so I switched to ranch.*My order came with no dressing*The lady came to pick up my order and apologized for not having dressing I said they didn’t actually put it on. She responded with good I’m glad they figured it out. I said no that’s bad and she smiled at me and walked away while clearing our table and taking our half eaten food I tried to stop her but she just walked away smiling.This place is a dumpster fire now. Everything was wrong and the food is bad now.

Rose Bakery Cafe is a wonderful place for breakfast. Came with a friend who lives in the area. I had the Country Platter, my friend had an English Muffin, Sausage, and Eggs. Friendly service, great food, lovely outdoor seating. Coffee station is self-serve and has a nice variety. Will definitely be back to explore more items on their menu.

Quite the enjoyable lunch was had at Roses. The Cobb Salad was on point, as well as, the Cobb Sandwich. All ingredients were fresh. Bread was fresh and tasty. Staff were cheery and helpful. Decided to try the place because the patio looked inviting. It was but be aware that the afternoon traffic on PCH can get a little loud. Still, it was a good experience. Donuts looked tempting. Alas, didnt succumb to the siren song. Next time though. Cookie was 🔥 👌 . Will return.

Unfortunately this location just went through a complete rehab, but in addition to making it less friendly the staff has become horrible to deal with. The food has dropped off tremendously. They dont even do cinnamon rolls anymore, which is the weirdest thing since thats what they were known for. All in all, what a horrible experience this has turned out to be over the past 4 months. And thats nothing to say that for one glazed donut and one chocolate bar it was $6.92

This is a quaint breakfast and lunch spot with outdoor seating.When entering the restaurant from the parking lot, you’ll be greeted by a sign that sends you around to the west entrance where you will get in line. When we arrived the line was a half dozen people. It was a bit longer when we left. No worries, waiting went quickly because the staff and kitchen crew were hopping.The pastry case is inviting. Lilly, the little girl in front of us, recommended the sprinkles cake doughnut. How could I ignore a five year old’s advice? It was good.Our breakfast omelettes came out fast. Big plates - it will be hard to leave Rose Bakery hungry.Start your day right with a cup of coffee. You’ll be glad you did.

Coffee here is below average. Nothing special about coffee. Basic coffee. Donuts are big and good with only problem being that quite often are a bit on the way too sweet side. Breakfast burrito here is quite good if they get it right. Sometimes the breakfast burrito is very good and other times average. I guess this depends on who made it and when one came in at. Price here is average. Neither overpriced or underpriced considering area and overhead expenses. For this area there is nothing better that I know of for breakfast. Less sugar in donuts and better coffee would give it 5 stars. Donuts still on the very sweet side.

This place is amazing! I love to sample so I got quite a few things. Their breakfast times are great, especially their burritos. Their pastries were lacking a bit. Very dry. Their chai tea is very different from anywhere else. I would highly recommend the breakfast burritos here. Loved sitting on the patio area and people watching!

Great burritos. We got one with a normally tortilla and one with the spinach wrap. Both amazing and not greasy. Big enough to share if your not too hungry but you better make another stop if your looking for coffee.Rose you have a lot of great aspects, don’t get me wrong. Great serve. Friendly staff. Amazing looking baked good but the coffee is just one step up from a truck stop diner. I’d request stepping from roasters with a variety of “flavored” coffee and syrups if your looking to attract the coffee connoisseurs. Perhaps buying from a Portola (Costa Mesa), Bodhi Leaf (Orange), or even the huge Stumptown (Portland) would be an option.On the flip side I could be wrong and your customers love your coffee. If so, ignore my coffee suggestion. I’ll still be back for the burritos!

California burrito (i believe) was good. very very very fresh ingredients!! a lot of soft egg and delicious spinach inside. I believe there were some avocado too. My wife and I also had raspberry lemonade and were quite surprised to find so many tasty fresh seeds inside (just look at the picture!! you can see them inside). Oddly they tasted like pomegranate pulps. Nevertheless it was delightful surprise!! After I finished mine, I even took more from my wifes. She wanted to try coffee later as well. She said the Hawaiian was the best she had ever.

Such a great little spot! Tasty donuts and other treats, delicious coffee and yummy sandwiches but the burritos are where its at. Pick one and you cant go wrong. They are all really good and their salsa is some of the best homemade stuff you will have in CDM. We moved away to another state and this was on our list as a must go. You will not be disappointed. I finally decided to venture out to this Cafe after hearing Alton Brown raving about it eons ago at the OC Fair. Parking can be a bit tricky off PCH (Theres only 5-6 spots in front of the bakery itself). So unless you live down the street from the cafe, expect to walk anywhere between 1/2-2blocks away. The basic country omelet I requested scrambled. It was on par and seasoned well. Donuts and pastries are indelibly fresh and make other donut shops not so desirable.

This is the absolute Jewel of Corona Del Mar. Sam and the staff are Beyond incredible. Its just a happy place to have breakfast or lunch. Its always packed because the product is so incredible.. try one of their specialty desserts if youre having a party. I always get a country burrito with hash browns instead of potatoes. Normally I’ve had great experiences here. Today was a different experience. I wanted an omelette but discovered that if you want to build your own (which is listed on the menu under “omelette platters”), you don’t get anything with it. The other omelettes come with potatoes or hash browns and toast.I gave up and just ordered eggs, bacon and rye toast. The sunny side up eggs and the toast were ice cold when they arrived. Perhaps they waited for my husband’s pancakes to be done before they brought them out. All together, it was a very disappointing meal. I won’t be rushing back. While it was a nice day to sit on the patio, I could have made a much better breakfast at home!

WORTH THE WAIT!! I went here not once BUT twice during my weeklong trip to Newport with family and co. If you’re looking for something delicious (yum to your mouth), ample selection, exceptional service, great atmosphere, outside seating, and basically anything you’d want in a breakfast spot, then Rose Bakery Cafe is the place for you. Parking was also a breeze—2 large cars full of people and never had a problem either time. There is always a line—a good sign—but it moves quickly as does the turnover for tables. Amazing selection of everything you could want including delicious donuts and pastries. Self serve coffee bar as well with a wide selection. LARGE servings. Try the breakfast burritos! I rarely take time to write reviews unless a place is extremely good or the opposite. I have loved coming hear the past 5 years and its crowded because its so good so I just get take out and head to the ocean. The breakfast burritos are amazing and everything Ive had delicious. They are also quite generous for the amount of food for the price compared to other restaurants these days. The man who runs this place is the nicest person Ive ever met! Every time I have been there he comes up to everyone with a huge smile and clearly loves running the place and really emphasizes customer service. Amazing customer service and food- cant beat it!

Busy, clean, efficient staff. I had a BLTA that was done just right with very fresh and ripe avocado, the bacon was nice and stiff, the lettuce crisp, and the whole wheat bread toasted with a nice crust. I also enjoyed a nice Arnold Palmer (1/2 lemonade, 1/2 Iced tea) that had very fresh lemonade. Its always busy early in the morning so youll likely have to wait for a table, but the outdoor dining faces south so its warm and sunny.

Really good, well-priced food. My girlfriend and I really liked the burger combos. My western burger was tasty and filling.The seating area is just tight and theres very little order/direction. This place was good, but very average. Had a very long line! I ordered the warm pastrami on rye which had a great mustard in it, but was a pretty small sandwich. Knowing what I know now I would probably pay a little more to add additional meat. I was also super bummed that they advertised chicken noodle soup, but the cashier said they dont sell soup on the weekend. It was Sunday, so Im assuming that means it was up there for 2 days? I was really looking forward to that so that part was a bummer!

Today, my husband, and his family all met for lunch. It just so happens this is the 1/2 way point for all of us for hotels, day drives, & home. We all sat outdoors in their patio area, which was just perfect today, the weather was gorgeous, and the service was perfect. The people-watching was fun, and the company even better. But, the desserts are, excellent.Be sure to take some home with you, your sweet tooth later will wish you had. It with a nice cup of coffee after dinner, yum. The only thing my hubby, and I both didnt like, is the tomatoes in the sandwich. They made the bread, saggy. Other than that, we enjoyed the sandwiches, I was told, the wraps were good, and salmon, too by the sisters-in-laws. Enjoy!

I know it recently sold and have seen an increase in prices, implementation of iPad checkout where 18% is minimum tip, smaller breakfast burritos and a change in the beloved salsa. It was at or near boiling making for a really good cup. OK. As an admitted lover of all things breakfast, its no surprise that my experience at the Rose Bakery Cafe was absolutely lovely! After watching the sunrise on the beach, my friends and I made our way to the bakery that is very conveniently open early in the morning. We avoided most of the breakfast rush and got our orders in to eat at the tables outside, but if time is an issue, keep in mind it does get a bit busy. The croissants are incredible and their selection of smoothies and breakfast burritos is impressive. However the breakfast burrito was terrible....flavorless boiled potatoes inside with barely any cheese and the bacon was pretty difficult to find. Just a lot of soggy egg and soggy potatoes. Im a local that has been coming here for years and this morning I had a very bad experience with one of the employees named Pricilla. Not sure why this place is so talked about... eggs benedict were as lame as you could possibly imagine. my son got the country breakfast burrito and same thing. bland at best. but the most disappointing thing was the salsa... unless you love ketchup lol.

Nice view on Costa Highway - being in Corna Del Mar area is a ++ for me I am in love of this area. Waking distance from the beach and beach walk with lovely Corna Del Mar sea view. Food selection is good. Coffee was not wow though. Staff are friendly

I’m so disappointed in their cleanliness and food handling practices during COVID-19. Customers were not wearing masks, employees were wearing dirty gloves, and handling food then touching my credit card & used pens, and then food again. The food was as usual, but I will certainly not come back during the virus-scare with the current practices :’(
