Romita Auto Service provided great service for my car (oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection). They are very clear communicators and provide photo documentation of parts they recommended replacing without pushing for unnecessary services or sales. The waiting room is clean & pleasant, and the staff were all super nice to work with.

Amazing. After my usual mechanic would keep my car for sometimes over a week and still not have issue resolved Romita had it done and ready in a couple of days! VERY professional and very clean environment. I’ll be referring everyone over there from now on. THANKS AGAIN!

Wouldve been 5 stars ! Very good on the repairs . All was good for communication until I saw 20 test drive miles with a 1/4 of fuel used up the 1st time.. no biggie I figure thats what it took. No mention of that to me whatsoever.Second time around, a day after I picked up the vehicle I had some concerns, took it in, they greeted me well, did a full follow up on the vehicle, awesome service ! but this time the test drive miles were 55 and an additional 2/4 of the fuel used up. Again no mention of this to me at drop off or pick up. Had to call in the second time for an explanation, which they confirmed to be test drive miles. Ill take their word for it. Just make sure they explain the test drive miles and fuel consumption to you.The painting is greater than the smudges. Theyll take great care of you !

May 2024 Had another appointment. Excellent service and customer service again! Im still so glad i found this place for my jeep.*********************They found all the problems Ive voiced concern about to other mechanics. I like the report with pictures showing the issues, I liked that they didnt do work without my ok, I liked being kept in the loop and being checked on afterward, and i really liked being treated as a person. Best service Ive ever had at any mechanic place. This is going to be my go-to mechanic from now on. They got my jeep running like new. Very happy.

Great Customer Experience. The office is nice, clean and open. The staff, especially Nezo were very welcoming and friendly. As soon as my vehicle was done, I was notified by a call from Nezo. Outstanding integrity and honesty. A wheel bearing failed within a year of being replaced. Romita replaced it under warranty for free, stating theyve seen quality issues with replacement parts coming out of COVID at a level they didnt see before. I was told things are getting back to normal. I dont think too many shops would be this honest. Weve been going to Romita for at least 15 years for good reason!!!!!

However, they cannot provide an accurate estimate over the phone because they don’t believe their system is accurate and want me to take my vehicle in for an inspection even when I am denying it and all I want is an estimate. I knew not to call them I was warned..

Ive been coming to Romita off and on for years and have always been happy with their service. They are professional, courteous, accommodating, and up front and honest about costs. They have been patient with my numerous questions, and I like the fact that you can text the business and communicate that way if necessary. Would highly recommend. My recent interactions have been with Pedro, who is personable, remembered me after a long time, and goes above and beyond to help meet the needs of the customers. Nezo also serves as the face of the company as both of them exemplify customer service with a person touch. Occasionally, the owner comes out and shakes my hand and asks about topics in my life. I cant say enough good things about this shop and its people.

Outstanding service from Pedro and the team. After the original repair didn’t last because of a faulty starter, Pedro and his team went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Romita took care of towing my car from my lot to the shop free of charge, and also provided me with a Lyft home. Will be making this my go to shop for the future!

My goto autoshop in town. They are honest and has the best customer service. They can give you a ride back home if needed. They do have after hours vehicle drop off/pick up as needed.The only small complaint I have is they are not open during the weekends as far as I know.Nevertheless, I never been disappointed everytime Ive had work on my vehicle here.

Terrible place. Had my jeep for 2-3 months because it had terrible death wobble, I asked them to look over everything and I will fix as much as I can. They didnt even see that my steering pump seal was leaking, they didnt see that I had blown shocks or uneven tires, they stated that the cause of the wobble was from my 3 link so they pulled it off and pulled off my hydro assist to install a cheaper kit from rough country. Gave it back to me saying it drove fine and to come get it, when i drove home I got terrible death wobble(worse then when I first took it in) and almost crashed into another car. Took it back and they kept it for another month to just adjust the camber and install a rear track. Gave it back saying it drove fine. Yet again I go home and it starts to wobble pretty bad at 45 mph. Fed up with them so I did alot of research and then tried an alignment and caster myself. Front was toe out by almost half an inch!! Way out of spec. Caster was at almost 8 degrees so I back it off to 7. It drove decent for awhile at 45mpg until I took it on the highway above 50mph and waddaya know? More death wobble. Took it to 4 wheel parts and they stated that my wobble is most likely from my unbalanced and uneven tires plus my shocks are blown. I got charged almost 4 grand for a cheap 3 link, ball joints and rear track. I couldve used that 4 grand for tires, shocks and bushings for my original 3 link and hydro, wouldve saved money. This place just wants to capitalize on your inexperience. Make sure you get a few mechanics to look at your car before taking romita at their word.

Overall I had a decent experience. Fair price for smog cert and inspection. I loved that they have transport available (one way only). Generally good customer service in terms of friendliness on the phone and in person.I gave them 2 stars because of their time and update considerations. I dropped my car off a bit before 9am. By midday I still had not heard back. I called for an update, the gentleman was friendly and said he’d call me shortly with an update as their technician wasn’t there to inspect my car. By 4/4:30 pm I still hadn’t heard anything and they close at 5:39. I finally get there and they had just finished. It took all day to get my car inspected and smog completed.

Major negligence on their part- U joint clamp wasn’t secured properly causing the cap & clamp to come off on freeway. ABSOLUTELY DANGEROUS! Thank God driveline didn’t touch group, had that happened I’m not sure anyone in vehicle would’ve walked away! Sure staff is friendly & have positive attitudes & owned up to their mistake can’t recall if there was an apology but sometimes even that isn’t enough to rectify a situation! God bless

My car had a nasty breakdown on a long trip from Arizona to California. I broke down in Fresno and was towed to Romita. They really helped me through a very difficult situation. My car needed serious eninge repair and this team was professional and understanding. Pedro and his team communicated with me through the entire process and was upfront and honest about the price. My repairs took a few days and they worked as quickly as possible so I could get back on the road to go home . I have now been home two weeks and the car runs as good as new. I am very grateful that during this very tough situation I ended up with such a good fair team that did the job right! Thanks so much guys for fixing my car!

Staff is nice, but it does not make up for what they lack overall. Their misdiagnosis cost me an additional 1500.00 more than it should of. Not the worst place to come to for simple work but I would not trust them with any of my vehicles again. I encourage anyone else that has had an issue with the shop to contact the Burea of Automotive Repair to assist you to resolve your issue.

At first I was hesitant because I was afraid of being taken advantage of because I’m a woman and I don’t know anything about cars. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they were honest and told me the bare minimum of what I needed done to get my car back on the road. Never did they try to upsell me on anything. In fact, I asked if I should get the other recommended services done, and they told me “No, you really don’t need to do any of the other stuff on the diagnostic paper until way in the future.” The entire experience was so nice and smooth, and their customer service skills were top notch. I broke down on the I5 and had to get towed over to Fresno…just two days before a 4-day holiday weekend. Nezo & crew did my diagnostic right away, found the problem, ordered the part, and installed it good as new by 4pm Friday. Ive been with romitas for years.. they have been good for the most lart.. this last time i time them my gmc acadia engine light was on for cylinder misfire and traction control and one of my main complaints was my car shook in 2nd get at about 25-35 miles a hour.. i go to pick up my car get to about chestnut and McKinley and my cars still shaking. And engine light turns back on .. right after paying over $1300. Now i take the car back.. now i totally understand the work was done for the cylinder misfire and traction control but as a women i literally pick up my car absolutely the same and out $1300.. i was told because it only shakes for about 2-3 seconds i needed to drive it more let it happen more.. so in doing that if it is the transmission like i feel it is i will be out of warrenty .. so im not happy at all... the workers and customer service nothing to complain about

Five stars hands down. Im all about customer service since I work in customer service. The fact that every form, diagnostic, something changes, etc they continued to keep me inform. Although I only went in for an AC fix, they clearly provided what the diagnostic intales and the charge. And if they needed to take next steps they called before hand to get my verbal consent and provided the price along with the total I was at, at that point. They kept me fully aware of the status of my vehicle the whole time they had it; which was 48 hours. They provided quick turnaround while staying true to the quality of work. My truck was acting super weird (transmission stuff) and every place I tried going to was busy. Then I contacted romita and they were available same day. Not that I have the expectation to get help same day, but it was nice. My truck was fixed in a couple of days and its been running great since. Drove it 500 miles over the weekend and it held up really well. They did great work and it was affordable too.

I have taken my 2011 Kia Rio to Romitas for repairs several times in the last year. Each time, my car has been returned to me good as new. The first time she went in, I was given their recommendations of what need to be done, in a prioritized list along with photos of the repairs needed. Pedro, who I would say is the face of the company, spent some time explaining what needed to be done, adjusted the list to fit my budget and patiently answered all my questions. The guy could write a book on customer service!There are times when I have gone to simply AutoZone and the tech laughs at my questions or belittles me because Im a female who has no clue when it comes to car maintenance. I have NEVER felt anything like that at Romitas. Since my cars first appointment, I have always felt at ease and comfortable asking any question, knowing that Pedro has the knowledge and understanding it takes to answer them. If he doesnt know, he will find the answer as quickly as he can.The staff, in general, have a way of letting the customer know that they, as company, care and and will go that extra mile, if need be. Janeth is sweet and easy to talk to. She also has a reassuring quality that puts you at ease, when worried about your vehicle.I also want to mention how this company cares about its community.-They work with financially troubled students at Fresno City College (through grants from specific programs). A HUGE thank you to Romitas for accepting these grants and making it possible for students (and parents) to get to school and back home.- They make sure you get home safely by ordering a Lyft home.- They have good local recommendations for other services. My tires got slashed at one point and they recommended a tow truck service. The guy who did my tow was quick to my rescue. He was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. I wish I could remember his name or company, but it was a good recommendation!Looking back at my repair reports, I believe Jose G has been the tech who has worked on my car the most. Along with Juan G, Cristain O, and Yeng Y (and if Im leaving a tech out, apologies.. ) T h a n k y o u! Seriously, guys, you have no idea what these repairs have meant to my family. I was in the middle of a long road trip and had the check engine light come on. They were able to diagnose the problem, get the part, and install it all same day. During the whole process they communicated what needed to be done and gave me the cost upfront. When I explained I was on a road trip and needed the car same day, they stayed a little later to get it done even though it was memorial day. Because of their great customer service and work ethic, I was able to continue my road trip problem free. If I ever found myself needing repairs in Fresno again, I wouldnt hesitate to bring my car back to them.

I drop off my Toyota for a wheel bearing replacement for both sides, and it was ready the next day. It runs like new again. The receptionist who checked me in was very friendly and the young girl who checked me out was even better. She had a wonderful smile and made me feel welcome. The mechanics were also very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely Will return as needed. This was my first 1st time here and I highly recommend it.

Very professional out of the gate. Responded within two hours of online request for appointment. Conducted a coolant pressure check and informed me, as I guessed, water pump was blown out. Texted me detailed pictures of leak (this is extra credit). They went over pricing with me which was reasonable considering warranty on parts. Was a slight hiccup in estimated repair time but they were able to accommodate my inconvenience. After service was complete I was notified by phone. Additionally, the service was less than quoted! At pick up I asked about future work that would need to be done and they were helpful in quoting any work that I asked about.Overall car runs great, they absolutely fixed the problem I came in for and most important, for my own peace of mind, I am relieved to have found a reliable shop with such professionalism at every point. I had gone to a couple of mechanics in an attempt to troubleshoot my P0106 code error, and was quoted an expensive computer repair. However, when I took my car to Romita, they did a thorough check and were able to find and resolve the actual issue (which turned out to be a maintenance issue). Because of their awesome service,I was able to pass smog and avoid unnecessary costs and repairs. I had my transmission rebuilt and flywheel replaced on my 2001 Ford F-150.It was done like 4 years ago at the old location on Belmont and I’ve had no problems with the truck at all. Must have been full of dirt and maybe pine cones? Beware of scams and what they do to your vehicle. I took my car in for a/c service and they charged me $100 for labor but couldnt even find the cause so they wanted me to pay another $160 to find out whats wrong with it. I said no and when I took the car back the plugs werent even plugged in for the radiator fans. I took my car to do ac service at Mobile 1 and theyre the most honest and cool shop showed me what was the problem and they didnt even charge me extra for what was wrong with my ac. Got it fixed faster than this place in 1hr and theyre able to do it on the same day i called, while this place will take 1-2 days to try to fix on top of that 1 week schedule to take your car in.

I dont want to bash this company too hard but I didnt have a great experience. The receptionist was helpful, professional, and kind. Staff generally were kind and tried to be helpful but the cost caught me off guard. Went in with a honda element that had an Eva leak and I had already replaced the gas cap, checked the fuel filler neck, and checked into the fuel hoses. I know it leaked gas if I filled the tank too far so assumed it was something I couldnt find in the lines or the tank itself. $160 to look at it and initially I was plenty okay with that. Thats a fair enough price for how quick they got me in. But then I got a text saying they thought it may have been an issue with the fuel tank along with a photo. They said they would call but half an hour later..no call. I called and got a message that the mobile user couldnt be reached at that time. I called again a few min later and was told it would be $200 for teir 2 diagnostics because they needed to take the tank out and check it sepwrately. $200 to look at a part? Seems a bit much for me. I came to get my car and paid the $160 and will be taking it to A&A auto repair where they assured me that for $95 they would pinpoint the issue and discuss repair options with me before moving forward. And just to clarify, the $200 was to look at the part. Not fix or replace it. That would cost more. So $360 to figure out the problem all together. Very frustrating. Maybe I just dont understand something about my car or how expensive mechanics can be but to me it seems like a lot and they didnt really reassure me that it was necessary or make me feel very comfortable about it. I know its a long read but I hope it helps someone sometime.

I made an appt. And they didnt even show up. Why make appts for your customers if you cant keep them. I was actually recommended to this place. I will never recommend them to anyone! Fixed leaks on my car, and found out what the issue was that was causing my car to overheat. With a lower price then what Midas charged me (426$) that did nothing for my car and didnt even need to be replaced, if you dont want a guessing game i suggest go here, they will let you know whats wrong. At first they say they will charge me 30 dollar for a checking diagnostic n then they charge me 100 for another one to do further test. I already know it the alternator need to be replaced but they want to go further more with the diagnostic so I just let them. Turn out it is the Alternator need to be replaced. I dont have any issue with the alternator atm but I do get 5 year warranty for the part.After they replaced the alternator my car start to have rattle noise when I start the car and it will stop once it warm up. At first I thought that it probably normal cause I just got my car fix but it still doing it everyday that I will have to take it to somewhere else n get it fix. I notice there also foam in my power steering. Before I take my car to them I already check my power steering fluid n it wasnt like that.
