Dr Stephenson is very knowledgeable. My first review for this place would be 1-2 stars. I was skeptical because after my first visit in June of 2023, he basically said a lot of your symptoms may be related to being overweight. At that time, I wanted my new doctor to somehow cure me magically.By May of 2024, I was down 25 lbs, some of the symptoms were alleviated, and he was able to further diagnose and solve some other health issues I was now/still experiencing. Thank you for leading me to a life-style change and providing a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

You don’t have to wait months for an appointment. He usually sees you close to your appointment time. Dr. Stephenson takes time to go through your issues and develop a plan going forward. I’m in my 70s and he’s one of the best doctors I’ve ever had.

I was verbally assaulted by Dr. Stephenson over the phone when talking to him about my father’s condition. He repeatedly raised his voice with me, was dismissive, unprofessional and verbally abusive. I would not recommend this doctor under any circumstances. He also didn’t know which was my father’s first name and his last, and hadn’t read his file. I’m still in disbelief. Never in my life have I had such an awful experience with a medical professional- much less an MD.

I looked through the list of scan doctors and chose this guy because he is a specialist in cardiology and that is one of my issues. As it turns out he is super well-rounded as a general practitioner and also well-rounded man, and I dont mean fat. I mean he is understanding, open-minded, and down to earth as well as being super competent in all areas of medicine that Ive needed him to be. I could not more highly recommend a doctor!

The only dentist I have ever found that cares more about the patient then making money. Truly concerned about preserving teeth, saying the best thing you could do is to keep the tooth in tact. If there is a problem found, he works with you to come up with the best outcome. Presevation Dentistry is a working title not just a name of a business.

As would be obvious from taking a look at my account, I am not someone who has an inclination to show up to places and give bad reviews because of trivialities. However, the treatment I received here was terrible.I came to Roberts office for a general checkup, and to express a couple of health concerns from lab reports and everyday life that I wanted medical advice on.It seemed to me that expressing my concerns seemed to bother Robert too much. I thought well okay, hes not the first doctor to give the Youre results are pretty normal, no need for concern attitude.Several times he would point to my written list of concerns that I wanted to share, and rudely express how he wanted me to quickly go through that list. Every single concern I have was met with apathy, even though some of the concerns do have a negative effect on my life.On doing some examinations in a separate room than his office he suddenly just left to his office and closed the door behind him. I found it strange that hed close the door because I thought I was supposed to follow him (obviously he hadnt expressed clearly that we were done for the day).I was met with a cold look with a were done here. I was surprised at this treatment and even asked him if Id bothered him. To which he then expressed that my issues that Im complaining to him about were insignificant and nothing but a waste of his time.No Robert, you were the waste of my time frankly. And your whole wall of degrees doesnt mean anything, and dont make you worthy of being called Dr, even remotely. I could have gotten better medical advice from a store attendant at Costco.

Dr. Stephenson is great. Not only is he very knowledgeable; but he genuinely cares about his patients, even after they leave his office. He is so easy to talk to and he has a wonderful sense of humor. I have been a patient for almost 10 years now. He always makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed, but heres the best part... he makes me feel like I am important to him. He listens carefully and then discusses all options thoroughly. Dr Stephenson is by far the most credible internal medicine doctor I have met in my past 61 years.The most important quality is that Dr Stephenson protects his patients from doctors who practice aggressive medical practices which require longer periods of trial studies for “proof of concept”.When it comes to the whole family Dr Stephenson’s personality creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere to discuss any challenge facing the family.He clearly educates the family at a level where non-medical experts can understand the positive and negative aspects of multiple strategies to address the diagnosisDr Stephenson is also very careful to make quick judgments before all the required tests have been acquired. In this manner he can provide suggestions based on his many years of experience.And if he finds himself in a position where additional specialized experts need to be involved he will consult with the family and provide their names.I have never felt in better care than with Dr. Stephenson!!I’ll share one experience-1) I have back problems. Dr. Stephensons office was quick and efficient. From calling and scheduling as a new patient, to walking in the door, checking in and being seen, his staff was more than helpful and FAST! I was able to be seen in less than seven days from calling which was unheard of at my last doctors office. Dr. Stephenson was also knowledgeable and very helpful with my concerns and patient care.

My Mom (and Dad before passing in 2009) has been a patient of Dr. Stephenson for almost 20 years! When they moved to California from Florida, Dr. Stephenson was highly recommended and has been her Internist ever since. As of today, my Mom is 94 and about to turn 95 next month. That should be proof enough of the kind of care, expertise and GREAT bedside manners that Dr. S encompasses. Since I take her to all of her doctor appointments I witness all kinds of medical professionals, their skills and understanding of all variations of health issues. I am always amazed at how quickly Dr. S can reach a viable solution, no matter what it might be, to whatever my Mom presents to him. He is one of the best doctors Ive ever seen and I trust him completely with my Moms health and well being. I only wish my husband and I were in the Scripps Network! Unfortunately, we are not~

I came to Dr. Stephenson just over a year ago when I had a change of insurance. I brought with me multiple health issues that require frequent monitoring and many specialists care. With his internal medicine experience I have been able to eliminate the frequency in seeing the more expensive specialists. Dr. Stephenson has addressed all of my health concerns and he always cares to listen. I really appreciate his support staff and the quickness in which they get me in for appointments and authorizations for procedures. I am very pleased with the care and attention that is given to me.

It will be rare if you find a doctor as good as Dr. Stephenson. His General and specific knowledge is unsurpassed, in assessing what may be the reason surrounding your symptoms. He moves immediately in the direction of getting you better. In the course of that time, you realize that his care and interest in you is real and honest. He is modern day practice wrapped in cloth of the old school General Practitioner. He does not run a patient mill. He truly loves what he does and its evident in his practice, with his office staff, and with his patients. I have been with Dr. Stephenson for quite a few years. I do not know how I ended up on his doorstep but can only say, Thank God that I did. I have had a number of semi-serious health issues that have been completely unrelated and all over the board over the years, ranging from heart, to lung, to Auto Immune RA, to knee issues. Without having him running point, leading my charge, I would not be the older guy who surfs and does martial arts as I am today. I am completely convinced, that i would not have the health I have today, if I would have chosen another doctor. I got Lucky! I got Blessed! He cares for my three girls as well, and has helped them all with life advice and care, treating them like family. He is not a five star...hes a 10!

Dr Stephenson is the best. It’s as simple as that! Absolutely every time I see him, I leave with a resolution to my ailment. He doesn’t just pass his patients off to others. If he feels you need a referral, he’ll do it. But he exhausts all his expertise (which is tremendous) first. He is kind, funny, humble, extremely knowledgeable, gives the best injections (painless). I was early for my appointment. Five minutes later patient B comes and gets taken in almost right away, as it turns out later one of the doctor’s tennis/golf buddies. When I asked the assistant who took my blood pressure, she says she took the other person first because he had an earlier appointment. That was not true as they double booked, visible on the sign in schedule. After 30 minutes waiting and listening to the doctor chatting with his buddy, I had to leave without being seen because of an upcoming appointment. The icing on the cake was when I was waiting for my copay to be reimbursed (by the only friendly person in the office) that Dr Stephenson was standing in the hallway and listening, having been told by staff, looking at my chart, quickly looking over and then turning and walking away. That level of arrogance and disrespect is really astounding. On a different note, there is no patient confidentiality, as you can hear names, diagnoses and phone numbers when waiting in the waiting room. That sounds like a HIPAA violation.

He is a very good doctor. Ive been seeing him since August 2008 at which time I was diagnosed with stage 3 COPD. I had googled what was the life expectancy for someone who has stage 3 COPD and it said about 8 and 1/2 years. Ive been seeing him for 14 years now so I guess hes a good doctor. Transferred to his practice in 2016, left in 2017, his staff is unprofessional, and receptionist is very loud, also nurse is cold and uncaring, Dr is cold and never listens to patients concerns or commplaints, also sometimes his unlicensed, and untrained wife and daughter work there and both are very rude and condescending, they have no right to be you f through files or wife taking patients vitals before visit with Dr.Dr only concerned about monies,and bonuses, from unneeded tests, he,should retire, when I first went to him he was professor and really listened to me and,seemed to care, but after I had emergency surgery and had my follow-up and assigned to therapy thats,when he,seemed to change when asked for a change in therapy location and therapist, thats when I felt he no longer cared. I stand by my decision to leave and am very happy I did, I now feel 90% better and am no longer on as many meds as before
