Robert and Dawn were the best introduction to what an ethical, experienced Real Estate team should be for us. They made finding, buying, and moving into our very first home easier and faster than we thought possible. We call them both ‘Sensei’ for good reason. As well as keeping us informed, they taught us what to expect as well as giving multiple options to resolve any issues. Then helped research and connect with experts in that field to accomplish our chosen solutions (ie: title and loan companies, remodel for wheelchair). In answering our many questions in a timely manner, they have made moving into and living in our new home as retirees SO much calmer, and less stressful! For that alone, they are saints. We Highly Recommended them!

I dont usually do reviews, find it important that I do one for Robert & Dawn. They both more than exceeded my expectations in selling my sons home. The first time I spoke with them on the phone, hearing their reassurance, kindness & pleasant personality gave me a feeling of comfort that I needed at a very difficult time. The house was sold within weeks, Robert & Dawn were amazing keeping me informed step by step through out the showings & the selling process, which was much more quickly than I expected I wish I could give them more stars, they certainly deserve more than 5! It was an excellent experience working with Robert and Dawn. They truly work as a team. After a short phone conversation Robert got back to me with all the details and listed my property for sale and it was sold within a few days with 16 offers with several over asking price. Robert and Dawn are extremely efficient and accurate in everything they do, accessing the property, listing for sale, reviewing the offers, working with other agents, providing feedback, and suggestions. They worked well with the property management company during escrow. They were a pleasure to work with. Would gladly work with them again. Dawn and Robert were the realtors I chose after interviewing 4 realtors. I felt most comfortable with both the pricing we agreed upon, and their general attitude toward selling the house. I didn’t feel any pressure from either of them and between the two of them, they had great communication. We set a price I was happy with and the house had 4 offers by the end of the week.They steered me toward the offer that was most likely to bring me the most money while also going through escrow with no issues. My goal had been to be out of the house on April 5th, and that is the date we closed. I’m very please with the service I received and the ease with working with Dawn and Robert.

Robert & Dawn Morris were an absolute godsend. From what I can tell from the reviews, Im not alone. I would go as far to say that theyre the most efficient and communicative in the Bakersfield area.How do I know this?I contacted at least five realtors before them, whom to my shock, simply twiddled thumbs for three months, and/or did not have the proper information to proceed with the sale of my mothers house. Im not singling out one particular realtor. Sadly, this was the pattern with all five of them.I had a rather complicated, lengthy probate sale of my deceased mothers mobile home in a park and honestly, I was losing all hope that anybody in Bakersfield would step up and take care of it. Think of it as the batch of bad apples that ruins the whole tree. I was even going as far to research how to sell it myself.Upon the first day of contacting them, Robert & Dawn knew EXACTLY the processes it took to sell her home. This dynamic duo took the reins and sold the darned thing within a month, almost like an intellectual mic-drop. For them, Im sure the headache was there and the payout for them was low, but it didnt matter. They remained completely professional, patient, remorseful in moms death, and most of all, communicative from day one to closing. Simply put, you are a human being, not just a client or an MLS number to shuffle around.Honestly, and from the bottom of my heart, I dont have the greatest experiences in Bakersfield, but Robert & Dawn really solidified to me that there are good, honest people everywhere. Not knowing Bakersfield when I moved their for work, they helped me find the perfect house. 3 years later I got a job transfer out of state and they worked extra hard to sell my house. I had to transfer prior to the house being sold. Every Friday I got updates on the number of viewings, feedback from potential buyers, and any recommendations to help my home sale.Even though 2 houses went on the market, on the same street and at the same price. Dawn and Robert were successful is selling my house with the other houses still being listed. My parents passed away and I needed to handle the sale of their home for the trust. I have experience purchasing a home, but not selling one, and I knew nothing of the implications of the trust. Robert and Dawn were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. My parents home was 4 hours away from me, and they helped me handle everything without having to drive to Bakersfield multiple times. They are up to date on technology and most things were handled via email or phone. They were very patient with the questions and made sure everything was handled correctly, even things I did not anticipate. Highly recommended. They will take good care of you.

My fiance and I are/were first time home buyers. Dawn and Robert made the process of buying a home quite easy for us. They were very accommodating with our schedules. We looked for houses and met during off work hours so both my fiance and I could be there. They are very prompt to answering your questions and giving you updates during the buying process. They advocated for us during the escrow period and were able to get us an extension, since our loan was not going to be finalized in time. We were very happy with the referrals that they made on our behalf - inspectors, loan agencies. I am a Los Angeles based buy and hold investor. Robert and Dawn have been my go to agent for Bakersfield properties since 2012. I bought my first property at the end of 2012 with Robert and Dawn and bought a second one in June 2015. In the past 2 months I sold both properties through Robert and Dawn. Robert and Dawn are extremely nice and responsive. Things I like about them:1. They are very knowledgeable about the local market, the area, school districts and the rent market. Any houses I ask them about, they can give me an accurate rent estimate and cashflow analysis. In addition, they have their own investment properties so they are familiar with the rental market. The first house I bought has no issues with being rented out and I am extremely pleased with that.2. As buyer agents, they are extremely patient and never push you into any decisions. Before I purchased the first property, I came to Bakersfield twice to see more than 10 houses and I didnt like any of them. I also put in offers for a few houses. It took me a while before I decided on the first investment property and I am happy that I wasnt pushed into the purchase decision at all. Robert and Dawn gave me enough time to decide and if I dont like it, OK fine, move onto the next prospective listing.3. They always try their best to help me get the best price possible. During the purchase process of my second investment property, there were several back and forth with the seller and Dawn was able to help me get $2000 credit after we read the house inspection report.4. They have great connections with contractors and gardeners. They referred extremely reliable contractor and gardener to me after I bought my investment properties. The people they referred gave me very fair price quote and did quality jobs. I will continue to trust Robert and Dawn for other referrals in Bakersfield real estate market.5. My recent sale experience with Dawn and Robert have been extremely pleasant as well. Dawn helped me take care everything remotely from hiring gardener (after my property owner ditched me), getting carpet replacement, arranging for water turn on (after my tenant left), to encouraging me to go to accountant for any 1033 tax savings.I have nothing bad to say about them. The only thing I wish I did differently is that I should have gone to their recommended property manager after I purchased my investment properties. My own property manager was non responsive after knowing that I have decided to sell the house. So glad Robert and Dawn picked up the slack....I greatly appreciate it!!!!

When my boyfriend and I decided it was time to look into possibly buying our first home we were enthusiastic and a bit fearful of this process, which was completely unknown to us. Our lending officer is a friend and she highly recommended Dawn and Robert as realtors. To be honest, I was afraid of giving complete strangers such an important task to find our first house. I never personally met Robert but, from what my boyfriend said after he first met him, he, like Dawn, are such nice and genuine people that we gave them our trust willfully thereonafter.First of all, we fell in love with the 2nd home Dawn showed us on the first day we met. Just a couple of hours later our offer was in and a couple of days later, it was countered. During those short couple of days I was most impressed with Dawn and Robert’s COMMUNICATION skills. Then, and throughout our whole home-buying experience, they both communicated with us through e-mail, and other means necessary, to provide us with all information we need and with clear advice that guided us to our goal. When issues came up with the offer or when we felt stuck and didn’t know how to proceed, they explained the situation clearly and outlined our options letting us be in complete control while still being honest about the consequences of our decisions.We had a 30 day escrow so our buying experience was extremely short, but sweet. The day in which we were supposed to close was a Friday. We walked through our future home to make sure the seller’s repairs had been made. Some of them hadn’t and, the ones that had, were not up to the greatest standards. I remember Dawn was so upset, especially because the seller did not fully comply with an agreement to close a fencing gap a couple of feet long in our backyard. It was a privacy and esthetic issue. Needless to say, we were all a bit disappointed with the seller’s lack of motivation to perform good work on the home but we had to close that following Monday. Dawn and Robert showed their GENUINE desire to make our first time buying experience a great one by offering to replace the missing fence in the backyard. We were thrilled! It was the icing on the cake, everything was perfect!We have been living in our home for about a month and a half now and Dawn and Robert still check on us. There were some issues that rose recently, regarding the home, and they were eager to help in any way they could. I could write a short story on how grateful and how smooth our buying experience was with Dawn and Robert but I will finish it off with this. Dawn and Robert are good people. It’s that simple. And in the complicated real estate world (at least it is for me) you want to make sure and have good people on your side. I am so so so glad we did.

Dawn and Robert have now helped me buy 2 houses and will be my realtors for any future house purchases. I have worked with several other realtors in the past and Dawn and Robert are simply better than everyone else I worked with. For the purchase of the first house, I worked primarily with Dawn, for the second primarily with Robert. But they are really a team and either one will promptly answer any question you have. I looked for 4 months for my first house in Bakersfield but never felt any pressure at all from Dawn and Robert to settle for a house or to increase my offers higher than I was comfortable with. For the second house, I saw it on the internet when out of town, immediately called Robert and he went and previewed it for me, took additional pictures and sent them to me within about two hours of the phone call. I highly recommend Dawn and Robert Morris, you cannot find better realtors.

We explained to them what we wanted and how much we had to spend. They were a breath of fresh air. We had very specific wants with our new house and explained them to Robert and Dawn.
