Been shopping here for over a decade. The service is always good and their products, especially their in house brand is superb, I wear it daily. The digital foot examination is great and provides great insight on what shoe you should buy. Im glad I live far away or else Id probably spend too much money here!

Excellent experience! First time going to Roadrunner for shoes- it was absolutely a no pressure to buy experience BUT I felt like a 5star client! I would never have selected all the different brands to try on! I went into the store with exactly what I (thought) I needed- and left extremely happy with a completely different brand! I loved that I was presented with my original pair AND 3 others to compare!! They literally spent an hour making sure I was comfortable and happy with my selection! Highly recommend!

I went to the store at 5:30 on Tuesday. It wasn’t busy and Cory helped me with the testing and fitting process. I found an excellent pair of shoes and also purchased the made-for-you insoles. My feet are very happy!

I forgot who helped me, but it was a lovely lady who usually does not work there. I think it was her first time coming to the store. She’s a manager from another store. Anyhow, she treated me with such respect. I went in there after a visit to the doctors with recommendations on a different issue and inserts. I was a little embarrassed to return my shoes. I didn’t even think I was going to do it, but the overall experience. Was amazing.

Wonderful place. They measure feet better than anyone. Custom insoles for your shoes. The best shoes. More socks than anywhere and high quality. They also have the best selection of athletic bras than anyone. I take my family there. I won’t buy athletic wear anywhere else

Jennifer was fantastic!! She was patient from the get go!! I tried out the foot analysis machine. So cool!! I’m training for the London Marathon and she helped me confidently pick out several pairs of shoes to go home with. I’ve been a member for 4 years now!! I love the 90 day return policy, as sometimes you don’t realize a pair of shoes isn’t working until your mileage is up to double digits!! Went in on a Saturday to get shoes for my daughter. It was super busy but we still got excellent and timely service. I have bought shoes there for myself and my husband as well…you pay a bit more but they can really match you up with the right shoes, and the custom insoles are amazing

Always easy when I need new shoes. Walking into the store I’m always greeted by the helpful staff. They ask what I’m looking for and they help me try on shoes that match my preferred stiffness and cushioning. If you’re not sure about what shoe is best for you, they have treadmills that record your walk/jog and any like what your feet are doing and what support might be best for you! And if you need more arch support like me, they can make custom insoles in-house. Thanks for being there for us road runner! I don’t go anywhere else for walking/running shoes

Overall I liked the shoes I bought. But we will not be returning and will be taking our shoe buying elsewhere. The saleswoman was very rude and engaged in some harsh sales tactics. There is a gym above with loud sounds of weights being dropped constantly. Was not an enjoyable experience and we were frustrated with feeling pushed into buying things and upsold the whole time. Did not have the sense that they cared for what they did in the slightest.Manager made it right and allowed me to return the shoes and insoles. Appreciated that.

I came into road runner as a first time customer and was helped by Dylan. I explained to Dylan some of the issues I’ve had with shin splints and he was able to recommend a shoe that’s been able to remedy some of those issues as well as get me fitted for custom insoles to further support me! Came in after work today. First time in even though I live very close by. Several people working there helping a few customers. One person was being assisted by two associates. Positive side, they seem to really try to help people find the right shoes. Problem is, I couldn’t get a hello, be with you in a few, nothing. Walked in circles with a shoe in my hands for nearly 10 min. Tried on the wrong size off the wall. Still no greeting. I was in the store for 15 min, in painfully obvious need of any acknowledgement before leaving. If you want to come in, wait, spend an hour buying a pair of shoes, could be a great place. I get in and out with what I want, quick. In my annoyance I bought the Hokas I wanted and the ones my wife asked me to get her from REI online from my car in the parking lot. They’ll be delivered on Monday. Just couldn’t do the local business thing this time.

Amazing experience and wish I had found this place a long time ago, well worth the drive from Ventura! I had the foot analysis done which was SO in depth and informative. I got one on one help to find the perfect insoles so that I could utilize the shoes I had just bought from another place that were having some fit issues. I needed running shoes really bad, to say the least. My shoes had 700 miles, which is way to much on one pair. My friends highly recommend Road Runner sports, the place was busy. I signed in and I waiting about 20min for an attendant. They were able to guide me to the right pair of running shoes. I also opted for the insoles as well. I picked up a pair of Altra Escalanates. 🔥 🔥My son also picked up a pair of running shoes, he’s 10 and never had a pair of New balances like he has now.We also became VIP members.Road runner didn’t disappoint and if you’re looking to get fitted with the right pair of running shows, then you must come here.

I was told of this shoe, Hoka, by my co-worker. It is the MensBondi SR. I am always on my feet from morning until I go to bed. This is the most comfortable, durable, and reliable pair of shoes I have ever worn. The salesmans name was John. He helped ensure I had the correct shoe size before he showed me a pair of Hokas that many other cooks had in the kitchen that customers had purchased in the past. It took a few days for my body to adjust to the actual shoe difference. I wanted to thank this store for supplying the best service and product! I will be returning for another shoe purchase.

This is a nice store, a big selection of shoes and they can make soles for your feet tailored to you. I chose this option. The soles worked great for 3 weeks, but it did not last. I spent $99, so its not a great feeling that it stopped giving me support. Im not faulting anyone. Perhaps I need more support than what is offered there. If youre interested in checking out the shoes, I recommend it.

Another bad experience with Roadrunner continuing to charge me for a membership I never signed up for. They keep promising me that they wont continue to charge me, instead they spam me and dont even give me membership deals. Careful of the young blond that tricks people into thinking they get a FREE membership. Dont give them your information. I am disabled senior and I was taken advantage of. The only one I trust is John the English manager, John, but the main customer service blames me as if it is all my fault and continues to bill me, just like all the reviews say. And the other staff are rude and not good with disabled seniors.

Dont fall for the membership- benefits may be good at first, but then theres autorenewal at like three times the initial rate. I had to call to cancel (tried in store- was told I needed to call). Waited on hold, then they processed a pro-rated refund to the credit card I initially paid with...which has since been closed. They said theres no other option. Thats money down the drain.Also in store I told the associate I wear wide shoes, and the fit thing said I need wide shoes...then she brought out a bunch of normal width shoes. They were all too narrow.Go to Fleet Feet instead.

You are then paired with an experienced sales person to walk you through the proper fitting of a shoe thru various tests. Then they immediately go over results thoroughly to help you find your perfect shoe. All in just a few easy minutes! No heavy sales pressure, just honest evaluations and advice. My daughter even needed new custom inserts and they fitted her for them on a special machine in just minutes. Neither of us are runners, but will only buy our sneakers here. Bonus, they have socks, recovery shoes, flip flops, nice apparel & more. And be sure to join their generous reward program.

The care and time taken to help my wife and I find comfortable shoes was awesome. The whole process was very streamlined and Kincaid took all of our concerns and preferences very seriously. He helped us find some great shoes for our long shifts as healthcare workers. Standing for 13 hours plus can take a toll on our feet and our backs. Our fit specialist Danny listened closely to our concerns and wants and helped us with plenty of options. Never once did we feel pressured to buy anything. Great shoe buying experience. The sales person was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. He was able to explain the function and got out different tail shoes. My wife wound up buying one of his suggestions and it is perfect so far. Fortunately, she has 90 days to decide if they are actually the right shoe. If not she can return it and get a different shoe that will hopefully be as good as this one feels right now. If you don’t have a VIP membership you have 30 days to decide on keeping or exchanging your shoes. Can’t go wrong with that as a nice insurance policy if you have difficult to fit feet. I’ve been shopping there for many years and I can’t see a reason for is to stop.

I became a VIP because I am training for a half marathon and knew I’d probably buy a few running shoes this year. Man did it already pay off. I had my shoes for a little over 2 months and the sole kept moving inside and hurting my foot. Because of the 90 day return policy for VIP I took them in and they replaced them with a shoe of my choice of equal value no questions asked. I was literally in the store for about 5 mins. The customer service is excellent there every time I go in. Roadrunner in Newbury Park is the best place you can go for your workout shoes!

Hi, I work at a local gym and a member recommended roadrunner to me because we have similar foot problems. So I finally took the time to go. I do agree that their shoe fit system does seem to work but the add on products made me feel uncomfortable. It went from shoes, then inserts, then socks, then the membership. I’m thankful for the great shoe fit, I just personally don’t like the feeling of being at a car dealership trying to be sold something extra and they didn’t have prices on them so I had to ask for the prices. The sales lady also shadowed me as I shopped around. I will most likely not return. But thank you.

It was a great purchasing experience, the kind you dont get too much these days.My feet require a custom fit. After asking me a few questions, tI was put on some cool scanner technology that measured my feet in detail. This gave me four recommended shoes out of a huge range of options.Then another device also created some custom molded shoe inserts, which I find to be completely necessary for my semi arthritic, high arched, and pronating feet.Good running shoes are extremely important, and selecting the right pair among all the choices can be an overwhelming experience. Without expert help, you never know if you made the best decision.This time, I was in and out in about 30 minutes, an left the store actually smiling from the experience. They guy that walked me through the whole thing was excellent; salutes to him.

I went to roadrunner for the first time last week. The service was amazing and it had been so long since my feet were actually measured it turns out I’ve been wearing the wrong size shoes for quite awhile. My new shoes feel like a spa for my feet. A wonderful experience all around! I brought my brother this time because I was so impressed with how I was treated last time. After the very thorough analysis (treadmill video of walk, computer analysis of foot and arch), he was shocked that the only cost was for his shoes and the inserts. This would have been one of the best RRS until weve been assisted by a bad specialist. I have been here couple of times and everyone was friendy, inviting, accommodating and helpful. But today was different. A specialist named Katy assisted us and she was not very helpful. I am not sure if she is new or didnt have any training. She never smiled. Its hard to hear what she is saying because she whispers like shes bored if us and she is not very helpful. all the specialist t would give you your shoes, open the box, remove the shoes from the box, unlace the shoes for you and even remove the insole for you and then put it on top of the box so you know what is the model that you are wearing. Katy is different. She just gave the box to us and watch us unlace and change insoles. She will only touch the shoes when its time to put them back on the box. And she keep it right after fitting so you wont have chance to fit it again. The only thing that she knows to say is how does it feel My friend maybe just tested 4 shoes and dont want to ask for another model/size because it seems like we are bothering her. She took the shoes even though she is unsure if its comfortable because we just cant wait to get out of there.. We left unhappy and upset. We probably have a happy experience if we have a different specialist. If they have a video of the store you can literally say which one is Katy because she does nothing but to watch you, take the shoes from your hand and put it back to the rack and correct where you put the shoes. This is not the service that RRS is known for. Even if a fitting station is empty you can tell what happened there. Because the shoes and shoe boxes are still lined up in front of the benches like the shoe itself are assisting the customer.2 weeks ago Katy is in the register and I swiped my card feeling like I owe her money.I mean maybe she is the owner thats why the attitude is uninviting??

I had heard getting insoles that mold to my feet could help relieve me from the pain. It worked! Yesterday, I went to replace the shoes I had bought years ago since I wore them out. My salesgirl seemed a little out of it. She asked me what my daughter’s shoe size was and I said, “I’m not sure”, and she just looked at me. So I had to ask her to measure my daughter’s feet, so I wasn’t guessing her size. She hesitantly had us follow her to the machine. It took a few tries to size her since the salesgirl wasn’t paying much attention and was just expecting my intellectually disabled daughter to know where to stand in the rectangles and not on the little circles. She then brought a shoe for my daughter to try on that was too small and narrow. So I asked the salesgirl if the machine showed that she had a wide foot and she said “Yes, I don’t know why I brought this one.” So she took the shoes back and brought out a larger and wider shoe. I had to put the shoes on my daughter and tie the laces and ask her to go for a short walk and feel where her toes were while the salesperson stood in a daze yawning. So to snap her back into reality I asked her to feel where my daughter’s toes were, just to get a little help out of her. Needless to say my experience wasn’t great but I did buy the shoes.

I came in with a stress fracture in my foot and needed much better shoes. The first thing the sales person said is that I was wearing trail shoes rather than ones with good walking support (just like my Doctor said). So I knew right away I was dealing with someone who knew what they were doing. The 3-D scan and custom insole fitting was great, and I purchased a new pair of shoes. The only problem is that they were the wrong size - twice. I came back and exchanged them for a different pair and they were too busy to really help me try on any new shoes so I just got a different size and those gave me blisters.I came back a third time to exchange them and had a really great experience. Grant in Newbury Park had a lot of knowledge and helped me figure out that I needed a wider shoe as well as a larger one. He took the time to try out multiple kinds of shoes, and we finally found one that worked. The magic part was HOW he tied my shoes in such a way that a pair that felt like they were slipping off the heel actually keep my feet right where they need to be. Grant was really helpful, and if I had I seen him the first time I would have given the full 5 stars.Overall, a great experience (though expensive, even with the VIP plan). I have already recommended the store to my friends and family.

I brought my aged father in to the Newbury Park Roadrunners to get fitted for shoes, and for new running shoes for myself as well. From the moment we walked into the store, I knew we were in good hands. We were immediately greeted and checked in, informed of our approximate wait time, and once our extremely helpful and patient fit expert Sabriel connected with us, it was smooth sailing. My fathers feet are a challenging fit, but Sabriel knew which brands would accommodate his foot shape right away. They were there with us the whole time, answered all of our questions, and they let my father take his time -- it was a stark and welcomed contrast from my recent experiences at other foot ware retailers. When it was my turn, more of the same impeccable service. I never felt pressured to purchase the custom insoles (which I did end up buying), nor did I feel like I needed to hurry to find the right fit. My favorite thing about Road Runner is their 90 day try it policy. Too many times I have bought shoes only to have them hurt my feet after a couple of days or weeks of wearing them. Here I can try the shoes for up to 90 days and if they don’t work out I can either get a full refund or try another brand. Also, their employees are so friendly and helpful. You get decent discounts and a 90 day no questions asked exchange policy. Jennifer was super helpful with helping us find the right shoe. The 3D foot scan and ability to run on a treadmill to test things out at full speed give confidence that you’ll enjoy your new shoe. I love road runner! I had the best experience, I needed new running shoes and my friend told me to go into Road Runner. Everyone at the store is friendly and attentive! I was greeted right away and they signed me in to be fitted, I got measured and walked on a treadmill, it was all such a Unique and super informative experience. I love this store. They stand behind there service. I actually took back a pair of shoes with no hassle. I have now bought 4 pairs of shoes there and took my sone there and bought him some shoes. They take there time with you and provide excellent customer service. I can only wear athletic shoes due to problems after having polio as an infant. I am now a customer for life!

I was very impressed with the customized service that I received. When buying running shoes, I have never been to a store that is so well equipped to assess my running style, recommend the right shoes and ensure that I make the best choice. The store is spacious and well stocked, the service is friendly and low pressure, and my salesman was knowledgeable and very helpful. I was even fitted for custom formed padded shoe inserts that I have previously purchased, which ensure that the shoes literally fit like a glove. I will be buying my future running shoes at this store, and I highly recommend it.

Although staff was very busy with customers when I walked in, Rocky (Raquel) still managed to give me a quick hello and tell me someone would be right with me (vs. many other stores where staff just ignores you if they’re busy). That small gesture set the positive tone for the rest of my visit. Rocky ended up assisting me and I could not have asked for better. She asked good questions, was very attentive to and patient with me. I ended up with a great pair of shoes (Hokas) and have already gone on a 45-minute walk in them, when before I could barely finish a 15-minute walk because my feet ached so badly. Incredibly helpful salesman took me through their process to measure feet in detail and video your walking gate to analyze which of their shoes may work best for you. I found some hiking sneakers that had plenty of room for my toes on a long hike. The extra tread worked great for walking the boulders to cross the creeks. Used them today and they were perfect! I was worn out but my feet felt great! Thank you for taking the time to get me to what I really needed!

They do have a system where you wait for someone to help you and you may wait a short time but when it is your turn you get full attention and you are taken care of. Update: returned at store opening the following morning and were helped immediately and both had a great experience. I noticed the person helping us was sure to acknowledge everyone else who entered the store as well which was nice. Had never been to this store before. we are not runners, but we walk daily. My wife has been having foot pain so stopped in to explores some better shoes. The semi-annual used shoe sale was going. We both purchased lightly loved shoes for at least 50% savings over new (wifes shoes worn only once prior to our purchase). A few of my friends recommended this store and since my feet had been bothering me I figured I had nothing to lose. I was greeted by Andrew who was knowledgeable and very helpful. He put me on all their state of the art equipment to evaluate size and other important factors when making shoe decisions. As a result I bought the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever owned with custom inserts. My foot pain has gone down significantly and walking long distances is enjoyable once again !!! And the fact that the store is adjacent to 2 of my favorite restaurants is just a happy coincidence!!! I can’t say enough good things about my experience!!!
