Nicolette is the absolute best server ever. She always takes care of us and gets us everything we could ever want or need. Our date nights are always spent here. I’m really sad they are closing down and I hope they reopen again soon!

Been going to RJs off and on. The food has been a hit or miss. Went here recently on a Friday. Just so happened it was prime rib night. We went for it and shared one prime rib plate and the salmon plate. Delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly! We were happy. You can tell the chef takes pride. The service is always fantastic. We will be popping back in. Thank you.

Food was average, service wasnt that great and we had to keep flagging people down to help us. Considering it wasnt that crowded and I saw better service at other tables happening, I got the notion they werent too thrilled about serving a big Black family in this establishment so thats noted and now Im sharing the sentiment (Black folks beware)‼️ lighting is dark. We wont be back. I dont spend my dollars in places that dont want to welcome them. Prices are too high for the low quality food.

The steakhouse was very clean, had a great cowboy charm and the chicken and shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The drinks were delicious, and I will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu.

One of our favorite places to get steak. I was really bummed that they got rid of the plank steak for 2 from the munu...it was a family favorite.Steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. The 1/2 rack of ribs were delicious and fell right off the bone

Very nice atmosphere and great service. I had the filet in gravy only because I had steak the day before and I love gravy. It was very good. We also had potato skins and fried zucchini appetizer which I love. They were also delicious. We also had the Tri-Tip Cesar salad and BBQ spare ribs. With the dinners you can choose 2 sides from a nice selection which is good. They had another blackened shrimp appetizer which sounds really good so I would like to go back and order that and perhaps the rib eye steak.

The place has a great atmosphere. Not too busy, but not empty either. My wife and I went here craving some ribeye steaks. The steaks were not the best however. Lots of fat and grissle in the meat. They had great flavor, dont get me wrong, but for a steak house I was kinda disappointed. I would still probably go back and give it another shot though. The waitress was very nice and still made the visit pleasant.Update: Went in again, and it wasnt any better. My steak was undercooked/raw. I really dont like sending food back but I had no choice. The waitress was very nice, but the food was not. This will be our last visit.

The food was delicious, the steak was tender and juicy. Salad fresh and the dressing delicious. Drinks delicious. Made there fresh. Amy was a great waitress, friendly, helpful, great in recommendations. Always checking in on us if we needed anything or how the dinner tastes. As a kid, we would go to a place called Steer N’ Stein almost weekly. We came across this place not far from our house. Upon reviewing the menu, it was nearly identical to the OG SNS. The food was very similar. Salad was quality. Prices are more than fair and you leave extremely satisfied! We’ll be back! You gave me a little piece of my childhood memories back today with the Plank Steak that my dad and I used to share!

My mom and I drove around for an hour looking for prime rib for our Thanksgiving Eve dinner. We finally ended up at RJs and very glad we did, they didnt have Prime Rib on Wednesdays, but we got the 12oz and the Flank steak. So good!!! At the first we had gotten our table on a 30 min for a Fri night. We had sat down for our meal and ordered. Our salads had come out, the minor and I mean minor thing about our salads were stale croutons. I was not expecting the meal to escalate. Much to our surprise our main courses were hot and served just to our order. Smoked and flavored just right. Our expectations were surpassed and we highly recommend stopping in for a great local meal from a non chain restaurant. Loved our meal and cant even say that our server was mediocre. She was an excellent example for great customer service. Super friendly and helpful.

A restaurant with a ranch feel they serve a smoked tri tip with local red oak it got a strong smoke flavor good stuff! Update just had a sunday lunch here or server failed to make the grade my wife steak ordered medium came out rare had to flag down a bus boy to have it refired she dumped it on the table and blew out of there like a storm it was now cooked to a well done my steak was just fair over all bad experience

Edit…… Ended up with food poisoning from my meal. Was up all night throwing up!!!Definitely mind blown on this experience…. We’ve eaten here many times before. Today we went and it was almost empty inside. The host decided to sit us at a table with a huge hole in the bench. They had attempted to tape up in the past but it epically failed. Then they brought us a broken high chair 🤦🏻‍♀️ the food just wasn’t very good. They raised their prices. Everything went up like $4. Just overall not very satisfied and probably won’t be back.

The service was good. The Ribeye was mouth watering especially with the cowboy butter. I added the lobster tail to it. It was a little over done. The Brownie Sunday was awesome. Incredibly rich so plan on sharing it. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody. I was a first time customer, and guarantee I will be returning.

This is one of the nicest restaurants around. There were many servers walking around wanting to help us and all the food was great! Ive never been somewhere where they actually went above and beyond to make it worth us coming back. I would highly recommend this place. Its also very fancy and the prices were decent. Ive been wanting to go here for 2 yrs and finally made the trip. It was so good, I cant believe I dont hear about it more. Great for date night, or a relaxing family dinner. They have a little of everything and the menu isnt overboard. Very good service, and we saw a lot of the staff just chatting with their tables and being personable. Great time!

Unfortunately, usually, a go-to steakhouse for us, RJs has bought into the smaller portion more money concept of California. I reserved my comment from the last time visited about 3 months ago, thinking it just could be. But sadly, the portion sizes are smaller, and the prices have skyrocketed. For our family of three, we used to spend high 60s to mid 70s. Todays bill with a tip was $107. Thats insane!Sorry to say, yet another great restaurant is gonna get eaten up by California wages and pricing.

Love this place, love the bartenders. Food really needs to step up. My wife loves the roasted romaine salad, but I cant find a good meal. Normally, she would get take out, and i would eat something else. But now they stopped take out. So i have to suffer and try to find something enjoyable. Burger was nasty and a sour taste. Fries were burnt leftovers. The fish breading was soggy inside, the chicken and peppers with mash potatoes tasted processed vs. real chicken, and potatoes were cold. I could have just been having bad luck. Im sure my wife will drag me back next week as usual. Hope the food gets better to match the people and atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff. 8 oz filet was much smaller, tender but not very good quality, coleslaw was excellent, garlic bread was decent, baked potato was fabulous. Salmon was very firm and overcooked but tasty, garlic mashed potatoes were good, zucchini and red peppers were fresh. Nice local place for a reasonable meal.

What a hidden gem. I only say this because I found it on accident, if I lived in the area Id be here once a week. Their ribeye is top notch 👌. The service is always good and tentative, atmosphere has a very grand western feel. If they had cloth napkins they could charge double the price their steaks are as good as a high end steak house. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Such as their fries and onion rings.If you read through the reviews, you will see this is a common complaint. However, if you inform the server of this issue, they will quickly replace your food.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Their menu on all sites is wrong. I usually like to give above average food and excellent Atchison a really good mark. Food was above average and their servers and staff were very friendly and helpful. However, dont expect to only pay $21.99 like it says on the web site. Brunch came to almost $40 each and that was with 2 kids and 1 person who could not eat. They need to pay the pricing so you can see before you sit down to eat. $28.99 just for breakfast and $45.99 if you get a mimosa is outrageous. I will not be back because I dont like dishonesty.

We come here weekly for dinner because the food is so dependable. Weve never had a bad meal. They cook the best steaks anywhere. The rib eye and plank steak are amazing. You must try them. I always get my rib-eye steak smothered with blue cheese. It is the best around. Another must try are the loaded mashed potatoes. Thats right, not only do they load the baked potatoes, but you can get the mashed potatoes loaded as well. We hope you plan to bring back the black and blu pasta. It was a favorite, and should have been a keeper. We have stuck with this restaurant for 30 years. Watched their locations change and the name change, but not the food, the customer service, and the amazing atmosphere. Keep up the good work rjs. Bring back the black and blu pasta!

We havent been to Sizzlin Steer since before the pandemic and it was great to be back today. The menu is still more limited than before the pandemic but what we had was very good. I recommend the Buffalo chicken sandwich -- just spicy enough and the fries were terrific. My wife had a salad with soup and thought it was very good. As always the service was great. Hope they can bring the menu back to what it used to be but we will definitely be back soon.

Went to this restaurant because my husband was craving a steak, and more specifically steak with chimichurri.He ordered the barrel (?) steak with chimichurri on the side. The chimichurri was brown. It had a lot of garlic, looked like dried herbs and mostly oil. So it was garlicky herb oil, but not chimichurri.He said his steak was tasty, but kind of old tasting.I ordered the Smashburger, which was a tasty hamburger, but not a smashburger.But the onion rings they served me were ludicrous. Cold and greasy, there were 4 on the plate, the onion part was tough, and the breading was separate from the onion, with half the breading fully undercooked and the other half DARK brown and rock hard. Seriously, you gotta try hard to mess up onion rings this badly.All of this was not the real issue. We finished the better parts of our meal and were ready to write this off as a bleh meal and know not to return.NOTE : I do not send food back to be re-done. Ive known too many people in the restaurant industry to do that, nor do I proclaim that the food is lousy and demand free or discounted food.So what happened next is all on the restaurant. Our server was terrific, but some other woman came to inquire about our meal, and we hesitantly said we werent really impressed. We did not set out to complain. Her very next question was to ask if wed be returning and when we said no, she persisted in asking why.So we started with the cold greasy mess that they called onion rings and she nastily claimed that they fry their onion rings fresh.Why would ANYONE come ask us our opinion on their food and then argue about why we are wrong? We had to tell her to leave us alone, it got THAT uncomfortable.Our server came with the bill and apologized that we werent happy, we assured her that none of what happened was her doing. She explained that the woman was her manager and that she took 15% off our bill. Yay.... we probably ate only about 85% of our meal and had to endure verbal harassment by the manager, soooooo I guess that worked out?

Went here for mothers day with my wife and her mother. Been here before with my mother in law because she liked it. The menu has changed from before because of covid. Its pretty small as you can see. Only one type of ribs and they have a pretty good amount of fat and gristle on them. The guy/waiter said half a rack is 6 bones and a full rack was 12 bones. I ordered the full rack of ribs and they come to the table smothered in sauce. Now I counted 8 bones. After waiting about 10 minutes to talk to the waiter who had served us ..I asked him how many bones are there in the ribs. He counted 7 1/2-8 bones. I asked the question about what he told me at the beginning. He said either based off of weight or 6 half and 12 full. So mind you now it is $21 for half and $30 for full. They did need more waiters/waitresses in the restaurant to help apparently. We did get seated pretty quickly because we had reservations. But it took 10-15 minutes before we had someone came to take our order. There were open seating and they still had people waiting. Me and my wife will not go back there or recommend it. There are to many other decent steak houses around.

This steak house is not economical, (dinner from $19 to $38) but has nice atmosphere with pleasant servers (ask for a large plate if you order the wedge salad as it is 1/4 of a very large head of lettuce generously toppedoverfills the salad plate! Proportions of our other items were also generous and we took half home as a result. The Specialty Steak ($21) comes in either 8oz or 16 oz. The former had to be weighed post cooking because it was a lot of beautifully-seasoned beef. Fries are also seasoned and fill half the plate. You get two sides with most orders but there are many extra options. The salmon was a tiny bit dry and the baked potato was large. The latter could be ordered smothered for a fee. There are also optional toppings like Bleu cheese for the steaks. We had a reservation at 6:30 and things were starting to get crowded. (It was a Friday night.) All- in-all, worth a try!

The beef tips were really tender. Tried the fried zucchini... While the coating was light and crisp, they really needed some seasoning, even salt would have helped. The portions are a decent size. The menu has a good selection, everyone in your party should be able to find something they like. They have steak choices, chicken, fish, burgers and more.First time eating here. We wanted to love this place. It was handy being able to make a reservation ahead of time online. But that was about the end of the positives. The food quality was ok, definitely over priced. The kids chicken tenders were so overcooked they were almost ashy. My sons cheeseburger was undercooked after asking for it to be very well done. Out of all the staff that we encountered none of them were friendly.After being seated with a menu it took almost 15 minutes for our waitress to come greet us, so when she finally came by to take our drink order we asked if we could just order, to which she said no. She needed to put in other orders and then would come back. We finally got our food and she asked if we needed ketchup and ranch to which we said yes. Spent another 15 minutes waiting for those condiments, after we had already gotten our food. Waiting for her to bring the bill was the worst.All in all we spent more time waiting for things than we did enjoying our meal. Food was just ok, pricey, and the waiting was super frustrating.

The customer service is amazing all the employees are welcoming and the food tastes so good! The atmosphere is very comfortable and you dont feel stacked on the other guests. We were luck enough to have 2 wonderful experiences here. I took my boyfriend for his birthday in August, and he took me for my birthday in November. Both times we did not have a reservation, and both time we only had to wait 30 min for a seat. They have a wonderful, helpful, cheery staff. I mean then this for the bar tenters, hostess, wait staff, and the busboy.The food is so good and cooked to how each of us wanted it. We had the prime rib and I like mine well done. It was still so tender, and juicy. I also really liked the split pea soup I had for a starter. It was nice thick and creamy. I cant wait for our next visit, and would like to bring my family and friends. Worth the ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Thr appetizers were good, we loved the loaded fries appetizer (forgot the name of it), Rhe rest of the food lacked flavor. Baked potato had no butter or salt but had sour cream and chives, the steak needed steak sauce to make up for the lack of seasoning. The side salad was delicious. The service was amazing the waitress was on point and even the manager came by multiple time making sure we were taken care of.The wait was ridiculous said an hour wait we didnt get seated till almost 2 hrs later. No idea how the food was tonight. Its usually pretty darn good. My daughter and I stopped in for dinner. Started in the bar where the three obnoxious girls were beyond drunk, cackling at the top of their lungs and dancing in the bar (where people were seated to eat). No one from the bartender to management tried to curtail their activities.Easy enough, well just head to the restaurant side. After a few minutes we were seated. A waiter who was either having a really bad day or is just void of a personality took our drink order and as he was dashing away without asking if wed like anything else, we managed to get an appetizer ordered.It came out and was delicious. We then proceeded to be ignored for approximately 20 minutes, with our waiter walking past our table 4 times. I attempted to get his attention twice, with no luck. He did manage to take the order of the table directly to right of us, and asked the table directly to the left if they needed anything else.I gave up, flagged down a different waitress and asked for the check. Super friendly she was (wish she was our waitress). Our waiter came back, put the check on the table and said, nothing else?Customer service was non existent this evening.

Our wait was unfortunate because they said they didnt have our name, and we waited twice the anticipated wait time we were quoted-- and the manager didnt really seem to care. My wife and I have recently gone to other dinning establishment and have been disappointed with food quality, I feel food quality has gone down since the pandemic. The meat quality can bre good on one day and terrible the next. Service can either be great or terrible regardless of the volume of customers. They make it out of meat that has been trimmed from the steaks. Very hearty and delicious. And OMG...the grilled shrimp is better than any lobster Ive ever had! I was thrown off at first when the host said they couldnt seat me until my party of 4 showed up. I asked why when we never had to do that in the past. She explained that at times people have a large party of 10 to 15 and only a few show up.Since I had to wait I decided to research if that was normal practice for restaurants. We frequent restaurants and never had that said to me in all the years we visited RJs or any restaurant. As it turns out, Yes it is a common thing. If a party of 10 books tables and only 5 show up then the hard working server and restaurant loses out on revenue and tips from losing chairs and tables. Long story short, dont take it personal if you encounter this policy. It is normal and just hang out until your party shows up.By the way, the service and food are awesome! They have always been friendly and very attentive. I asked for a specific sauce prep for my steak and they did to my liking. HUGE LET DOWN!!! My wife and I visited on a Wednesday evening and the place was about 1/3 full. The hostess was very friendly and was able to seat us right away my wife and I went in looked over the menu and decided what wed like to drink and eat and waited and waited and waited. Not a single server approached us to ask us if we even wanted water or to let us know they would be with us shortly. We sat for 10 minutes and observed other people come in and be greeted by servers so I stood up and walked to the front and ask the hostess if someone was going to be helping us soon. We waited a few more minutes, a total of about 20, still with nobody coming to our table so we decided to leave.Side note. The bathrooms were dirty and the dinning area smelled like a wet sock.We will never come back here again.

We got seated fairly quickly but, waited 10 to 15 minutes for our server to show up and take our drink order. Also my wife ordered a steak medium well and had to have it taken back twice because it was so under cooked, I like my steak medium rare to medium and even I wouldnt have eaten it, my steak was cooked right but was very bland, my rice pilaf was cold, but the fries were pretty good. we also had to wait a good 15 to 20 minutes for our check. Probably wont be back anytime soon.

When it comes time to get a steak, this is the number one steak place in Murrieta. Dont skimp on the appetizers their appetizers are absolutely to die for. The Ambiance inside the restaurant is out of this world down Earth and ranching style throughout. the hospitality throughout the restaurant is excellent you need something theyre there for you. There are certain parts of the country that just do different types of cuisine better than other parts. RJs Sizzilin Steer does steak the way Texas and Oklahoma do steak! if you want quality cuts that are cooked well go here! While dinners are getting cold, I had to wait an additional 10 min for the rest of the food. So many restaurants are doing this in my experience during covid. Atmosphere of this place is that of a Texas style Steakhouse. Plenty of Western style photographs and memorabilia. Visiting from Texas, I felt at home here.Unfortunately, the similarities stop there. While RJs may cut their steaks in house, they may need to work on how to properly cook them. I dont know if it was just the chef that was there when I ate, but I ordered my steak medium rare and it was medium well. My wife asked for hers to be medium and it was more medium rare (and no they didnt just switch ours - we had different cuts and sizes). Other people at the table had similar issues. On top of that, it was fairly flavorless and bland.Dont get me wrong, Ive had much worse. And hopefully the lackluster food was just an isolated experience.

A place for people whove worked hard for what they have and caught a few breaks along the way and want to spend their money.Outside on the patio are several large screen TVs that broadcast whatever youre interested in, and is a nice place to gather on game day.The food, while still good, disappoints in value.The service I received there was adequate, but not exceptional.While I do not usually leave a review after a single visit, I do not feel compelled to return any time soon, so take this with a grain of salt.

Good food, fair prices. Great steaks, good draft beer selections, good mixed drinks, kids meals better then most places, fried cod (fish and chips) was very bland, but everything else was flavorful and cooked properly. Staff was courtiouse, helpful in recommendations and even let us know that if it is your first time visiting you can get a free appetizer or dessert. Both the waitress and the manager roaming the tables ensuring customers satisfaction mentioned the first time special, which really expressed to me that they were more concerned with their customers satisfaction and enjoyment of their visit rather then upselling people. We got the oreo sundae (since they sold out of the brownie sundae☹) but after receiving the dessert nobody was disappointed. Oh, and only had to wait about 20 minutes (told longer) for a booth table on a Saturday night at about 6pm. We will definately be back.

My family and I visited this place a couple of times before, and we loved it. Im really sad to say our visit today was awful, not the service, but the food. Im not sure what happened here today, but it started off with me sending my bloody mary drink back. Not only was the color off, ( barely red in color), it tasted like bitter grapefruit. The salads, steaks, prime ribs, battered code fish, baked potatoes, and last but not least, the breads were tasteless, no one ate them, even the waitress said, everyone just eats off the tops. Maybe the early opening shift of cooks were still asleep, or had substitutes, whatever the case should have gone at night as usual? Not sure about returning, had to come home and eat some tums, feeling disappointed!

The quality is just completely gone, last menu change removed two of their best meals, the filet and shrimp and the super stock yard, too bad. You can tell its falling apart, poor service too. Top it off my wife had a hair in her salad. Poor quality, much better quality at other local steakhouses, better prices too. Sucks because i used to swear by this place. I dont think I have ever been so disappointed in a restaraunt before. Maybe it was the fact that I drove by here for months wanting to give it a try, building up some sort of expectation.Well, we ordered two appetizers. Each one pricey for the amount of food you get. I mean, come on, 5 pieces of calamari for 13.99? The other being the spinach artichoke dip that was flavorless. Then the main entrees came out for our table. I had the ribeye which was $30. It as well, was flavorless and tasted only of the oil that they cooked it in. It was a pretty large ribeye though. But, that didnt exactly make up for having no flavor. Ive never had to add salt to a steak before... Cant forget the sides. The portion was again small and came straight from the freezer. It was just such a lackluster experience overall.The waiter, was alright.. We went without drinks for most of our meal, and didnt get checked on the entire time we were there (about 90 minutes) except after our meal was brought out.Not so ironically, we overheard our waiter yell to his kitchen staff that someone dined and dashed. I cant really blame them after the experience with our meal that cost over $150 for a party of 4 (without drinks). Not that I condone anything like that, but I honestly dont know where all of these positive reviews are coming from, and I dont know how you guys are actually in business. RJS is great! Im a creature of habit and usually like to split their plank steak for two but this time we were there for lunch. They have a nice variety of food items at a reasonable price for lunch. I chose the tri tip steak salad this time and was not disappointed! Loved it! I definitely would recommend the plank steak though for a dinner selection. It comes with 2 sides, bread and the steak is still sizzling when it arrives to your table. Surprisingly this is a very tender cut of meat. Order more towards medium to medium rare as Im not sure how tender it would be if you ordered it more towards the well side.

The plates were so hot I burnt my hands and mouth, long after plates were dropped. My food, the fajita was completely flavorless, I had to ask for condiments to give it some sort of flavor. My husband wasnt too happy with his steak either. We also have had our companys Christmas Party here for the last 6 years, we have about 10 employees. Well last night we went for our Christmas party about 8 of us an I have to say the hostesses got us right in with a great table just so nice an they were busy with large party on both patios,full bar an people waiting, but they handle everything so smoothly an pleasent. Then we get to our table an our waiter Austin was so wonderful got all our drinks right an to us in a timely manner,when the food got to the table it was warm an done exactly as we ordered. Austin was very impressive so polite an the evening went off perfectly. When we go for lunches an dinner Nolan is there in the bar with a smile an a handshake. Just a wonderful experience. This is a great place to hangout.. Im 14 and in a wheelchair, it is completely wheelchair accessible and i went there actually yesterday!! The staff was amazing and the trivia was truly incredible!!! They have giftcards to chick-fil-A, bowling, aerosports and more!! The food was incredible also.. I had a wonderful time there with all the music and my friends💖 For sure going again next Thursday!❤
