We golfed at Ridgemark for the first time on our way home from our ranch in Paicines, and we were delighted! The course is forgiving for us novice golfers, yet still a challenge for all levels of play. The greens and fairways are well kept. The property was well designed and we never were distracted by other golfers as can happen when fairways lay too close to each other. It was a quiet, peaceful experience and I played better than I have in a long time.The pro shop is well stocked and the friendly staff greeted us immediately and provided the input we needed to choose wisely.The clubhouse served the best BLT ever and the wait staff were all superlative.We are going to make this course our regular stop to or from our ranch. It’s a winner!

Absolute dump. Dirty. No heat. No wifi. Don’t waste your time. Room was outdated, holes in walls, sink counters. No heat. Water in toilet ran all night. Management puts little to no effort into maintaining.

This is way overdue. My apologies to Nikki and her staff for that. My GALS (10) and I had the most FANTABULOUS Golf Staycation. We all live in the Bay Area, drive about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away. It was a simple Bday celeb and Golf, Golf and quick getaway. Nikki made sure all our rooms (4 & 1 with a Pet) were next to each other, same building and overlooking the 18th hole. Rooms were large, 2 King Size Beds w/ Fridge & Microwave, if you need it. It was also newly remodeled and the price was right for our Stay and Play of 3 days and 2 nights. Its not a 4 or 5 Star accommodation, so be realistic.Its Quaint, clean and the service was great. The Restaurant also served delicious and hot sandwiches w/ their Flavored Fries and Tots to die for. It was so perfect for the Hot Lunches I ordered while we played Golf. The Golf Pro Shop service was also Top Notch and these men know the game and service is their main game. My Girlfriends were all very impressed. Only disappointment was it rained on our 3rd day of golf. NIKKI, on behalf of the gals and I, Thank You So Much for making my Bday Golf Stay & Play Extra Special and it truly seemed liked a Golf Vacation. Kudos also to all your staff. We will be back next year again, around the same time. This time with more Girlfriends.

Omg where do I start? This is NOT a resort!! This was the worst room we have ever stayed in! They need to pretty much knock the rooms down and build again! The beds looked 20 years old so did the sheets. It was dirty everywhere. The kitchen and bathroom was horrendous! The kitchen was falling apart! Paper peeling off the walls, stains all over the cabinets, like coffee spills or something. The kitchen sink is where you have to wash and brush your teeth had cracks and stains all over it. My husband wanted coffee and there was still a used coffee filter in the coffee maker and it didn’t look recent 🤮. The bathroom reminded me of bathrooms at your local park. Cement wall with high little windows almost like a jail! The shower was cracked and shower head so old. The shower curtain looked like it was from the 80s with stains all over it. I didn’t even want to touch it. My husband went to the restaurant in the morning nobody there he couldn’t even get coffee! Absolutely desolate! We couldn’t stand another night so we left after the first night.(3 night stay) I’m absolutely amazed this hotel is still in business! Guys get your act together seriously!!! You have a nice location you can do so much better!!! I took pictures but couldn’t stand looking at them, made me feel dirty so I erased them!

Like all the recent reviews said, this is an outdated place w/ no services(resort is a mis classification). The 1986 window air conditioning is randomly non functional at night that may leave your kidS freezing. In addition they have rude staff that wont help with anything and tell you everything is ok in your room. Such a bad stay experience, stay away if possible. Re: You even being emotional and talk back means a lot how you manage this place. The review from a week ago mentioned the 1986 heating doesn’t work and you lied on the phone never heard about the heating issue from other customers. How funny!

The rooms themselves are actually pretty nice. The problem that we had was with the wifi and getting hot water. The first night I was there, we didnt get hot water so I ended up taking a cool shower. Also the wifi was not working well. At least the one they asked guests to use. We found another one that used the same password. They also dont have complimentary breakfast

This review is for the hotel. We did not golf or eat here.I think others put in gently when they say the rooms are dated. While sure some of the elements like the bathroom were surely original, the room we stayed in was neglected and dirty. Honestly it was probably the cheaply redone elements that made it feel worse to me. The flooring was in bad shape, the paint had large patches all over where it had been touched up, dust and dirt on the floor and in tighter spaces like next to the bed, the textured wallpaper in the bathroom had a lot of grime in it, and I dont think I want to know what was all over the full length mirror.Overall after a day of hiking at Pinnacles National Park we did sleep well and despite facing a utility wall had very pretty views of sunset and sunrise.Just a heads up that while we were there they did want you to use an app as your key and I was not offered a physical one. I for one hate having any extra apps on my phone and find that they dont consistently work or I run out of battery while out exploring new places. Just was not ideal and the woman who checked us in was particularly unfriendly so I didnt feel comfortable asking for one.

The motel is hard to find. Once you finally find it, we were disappointed. The price was among the higher end, yet the quality was lacking. Our room was poorly cleaned. The beds hadnt been swept under in who knows-how long. Bugs, bugs, bugs - everywhere. Mainly crickets, dead ones, live ones, fast and jumping ones. It was disturbing. 😳 Cleanliness wasnt a top priority to the staff. I can confidently say we wont be staying at this place again.

Rooms do need work however my stay was brief so it served its purpose. I was here for an event and not having an air conditioner in the venue was a bit inconvenient. The staff kept the ice cold water coming Thank You. N thank goodness that the weather cooled down quickly. The dinner provided was delicious.

The waitress was very bad. She ignored me and my guests as we sat and waited. The bartender mentioned to her that we have been waiting a very long time. She yelled I will get them when I can. My guest received his meal and finished it before I receive mine. I asked for the manager. The first words out of her mouth were that they were busy. Not that she was sorry for the poor service. I handed her my plate and ask for the check. I have been a customer since 2014. I live close by so I will probably try them.

Im wondering why they have purchased a new air conditioning unit but havent had it installed and continue to place a fan in the doorway of the ONE meeting room that has AC to push the cool air into the bar area. Its not working on a 96 degree day 😜. The poor service people, bartenders and servers, who are GREAT, have to work in that environment. Not cool. Mind the pun 😞

The staff in both the restaurant and pro shop are the best. Attentive, polite, prompt, and knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience here. Who ever they have in the kitchen preparing their food is damn good at what they do. Keeps me coming back.

Stayed one night. The room was nice. Needed some updating. There weren’t any menus in the bar/restaurant but the service was good. It appears to be a new acquisition so I’ll give them a break on the property’s short comings.

Went to eat at the restaurant since we were in town for an event and staying the night there. Wish I had looked at reviews first for both the restaurant and hotel.First the restaurant - Like other people have said, expect bad service at the restaurant if you’re not a regular. We waited an hour for our food (which was pretty simple too - a hot dog and chicken fingers) while they served food to at least 4 other tables that had arrived 15-20 min after us. These tables were getting their food in 15-20 min and their orders were larger than ours. The servers were nice and we didn’t mind the wait initially when they told us the kitchen was short staffed, but then as more and more tables after us kept getting their food way before us we knew something was wrong. Don’t think it was a missed order because after 30 min, the server came by every 10 min to tell us that it was coming. At best, it was because we’re not regulars. They seemed to know the people at the other tables. At worst, well, we were also the only table with two non-white people (Asian) and I saw other reviews of bad experiences by people of color.For the hotel, it’s just old and not well cared for. For example, our curtain rod has duct tape holding it together, and my sister had to put a blanket over the window because the blinds were broken in her room.The positives that merit the one star - the views were pretty when we walked around and the staff we interacted with were nice. The woman at the front desk was nice, the cashier in the pro shop, and even the servers (while they repeatedly gave us excuses for the food delay).I like supporting small businesses and dislike leaving bad reviews for them but the experience was too disappointing to ignore.

We were sitting outside. Waitress took 45min to come out then said she was really busy so she would get to us when she could. We asked for a dish to be well done. She responded you get it the way it comes!! Are courses were brought out at different times and undercooked. I mean raw bacon . Then she gave us a lecture on how we needed to hurry up so she could leave. And not once did she ask if we needed refills. We had to wave down other staff to get anything. Place has gone downhill after ownership change or need better servers and cooks.

Ridgemark is always great. There food is wonderful and ver6 reasonably priced (way less than everywhere else in town. The service is above and beyond expectations. You can go at the height of lunch or dinner time and have a tasty, reasonably priced meal (and drinks if you drink bar is great) in a friendly uncrowded and quiet atmosphere. My favorite place in town. Also I have a total intolerance to gluten and they are very careful about keeping my food gluten free

We really enjoy eating here. The staff is super friendly and they treat us like regulars remembering our drink order each time.There can be a bit of a wait to get food on the weekends but we find thats the case most places now that many businesses are understaffed and cant find willing workers.The food is always great. Some of our favorites are the burgers, quesadillas, bacon wrapped jalapenos, loaded nachos and the pizzas.The dining room is huge and there is a nice area to eat outdoors as well. They also have a great bar.

This review is for the lodging at Ridgemark only. We did not golf nor dine at the restaurant. So, we lived in Ridgemark several years ago. When we were invited to spend Christmas with friends, we thought it would be fun to stay here. My first clue that something was amiss was around the room rates which were unusually inexpensive. We assumed it was perhaps off season or something. Upon entering our room we just looked at each other. It was not only sparsely furnished (no couch or easy chairs, only two wooden straightback chairs and a small wooden table, aside from the bed and two small, short beverage-stained side tables), but everything about the room was tired and dated. The headboard on our bed was screwed to 2x4s which were screwed to the wall. The mattress (which was clean and reasonably comfortable) sat on top of a utilitarian metal frame. The paint on the walls had been spot touched up multiple times in hues which didnt always match the original color. Moulding along the floor was missing in spots and missing paint in other sections. The bathroom sink had rust stains. Because it was Christmas, we could not get a room at another hotel. Obviously, we were super disappointed and would never stay here again. On the bright side, housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room, the front desk person was nice, and the view from our room was lovely.

Great location but need some up grades. The shower/bathtub is not easy to climb in and out of. And when I say climb, I mean it. Having ankle surgery 8 months ago and still not steady on my feet, I felt like I was going to fall everytime I got in and out. My husband at 61 felt, and healthy felt the same way. Towels were not replaced the first day, and when my husband called for more the person he spoke to was rather rude. And the next day we werent given enough towels. So the the envelope asking for tips to be put in there (if we felt the need) seemed awfully presumptuous. Next time I travel to see my family, I will definitely stay somewhere else.

Does this need some updating yes, do they need to remember to clean under the beds yes!! However the staff could not have been more helpful and it is so quiet and beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. Cannot thank all the staff enough for a really lovely stay. Oh and the rooms are huge ☺️

Ive stayed in their hotel very peaceful and rooms are always very clean. Get to watch them play golf in the morning. I have eight there for Easter brunch and even went for drinks in the evening. Nice people nice environment definitely recommended.

The room was very clean but quite outdated. Beautiful setting and large room size, but the mattresses were really old, and the pillows were very stiff. Family staying in other rooms shared the same experience. Overall, well worth the convenience of being near family in the neighborhood and on-site for the event, but a bit uncomfortable for sleeping.

This place is #cozy and the food was so much better than I expected. I had the chicken puff pie which was a chicken breast with spinach, roasted red pepper and provolone cheese wrapped in puff pastry with mashed potatoes and roasted winter vegetables. It was so good. This is my 1st time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised and happy. I definitely recommend it. It also looks like a good place to have a wedding. #yum

Just went there to drop off stuff for some people, but Im writing this review because I am so impressed with the staff. A member of the maintenance crew gave me directions to the offfice and told me where to park. When I was getting out of the car, I saw him peek around the corner to see that I had been able to follow his instructions. Very friendly, courteous and excellent communication.Same way with the staff at the desk. The first person was not familiar with the people I was delivering to, but was careful to communicate well to ascertain where the goods were going. Just then her associate came in and ethusistcallly named the people who had sent the items, and assured they would get to the right people.I thought the staff was so with-it that the place had to be a great place to stay.

If youre a person of color, black, asian or chicano or are a combat veteran, please avoid the bar and grill unless you want to be discriminated against in the most awkward manner.I had walked in with my family to get some pizza but didnt see anyone taking orders so I walked over to the bartender, Larry, where I saw him joking and laughing with some of the customers.As soon as I walked up with my wife and kids he ignored me, refused to make eye contact and only looked at me when I said Excuse me. I politely asked for a menu and he slightly nodded and continued cleaning a glass longer than he needed too. After about an awkward minute of standing there I realized I was being ignored.I turned around and saw a younger gentleman taking orders by a stand(Larry didnt say a word as I walked away to me but heard him whispering to an older gentleman.) He(the younger guy) was incredibly nice and handed us menus but once I sat down, I realized the experience was already ruined. Didnt help that most of the residents hanging out in there acted like theyve never seen people of color. We walked out and ate somewhere else instead. My father and uncle also had a negative expirience with Larry when they went in for a drink. My sister was even knew the name after having an awkward expirience in there. Looking through the reviews I see that this man has probably done the same thing.Other than that, our room was nice, spacious, and probably the best deal you can find out in the area. The views are really beautiful. As much as I would like to return, I dont feel comfortable with someone as hostile as that working here and previous people had complained before. All the other employees and fronk desk workers were awesome to talk to and had great customer service.

So I went here and got a beer, it was $8.50. I gave the bartender(Larry) $10, and he said thanks. And im like...youre welcome...wheres my change? He never brought it. He 100% expected me to tip the rest of the $1.50. Im just baffled thats like expected now? I was going to tip a dollar maybe, but the fact he didnt even attempt to bring anything back is wrong. Honestly this was the first time I had really been inside of the clubhouse. Although the service was good, the facility itself seems outdated. I stayed the night in one of their rooms. Although very spacious, the rooms could use some updating also. The mattress was nothing more than a box of springs. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. I was also disappointed there was no drinking water avaliable in the room.

I have never been treated so poorly before! I’m here visiting family who lives in Ridgemark and have for a long time. After taking a golf cart stroll we decided to grab a drink at the restaurant/bar. We seat ourselves at the tall tables and get completely ignored as the waitress moves from table to table and then proceeds to start cleaning. She saw me and we locked eyes but apparently that was not enough to get service. After 10 minutes I stood up and walk over to the bar with my debit card in hand. The bartender Larry sees me but does not take my order and proceeds to give himself a drink first.The people next to me got there after us but already had drinks. Larry asks them what they would like to eat and the lady points to me and says “they were there first”, Larry replied back to them by saying “I’m not worried about them I am worried about you”. I could not even believe what I had heard and how overlooked I felt. We got up and walked out. I am in my 30s, clearly not here to golf, maybe I was being profiled? I am not sure what was going on here but this review will not be the last this place hears from me. Not only am I a paying customer I am a resident! Just…. Wow.

The room is big, has good wifi and the heater worked well, beyond that this place has so many negatives. It starts with the desk personnel who cant be bothered to offer any assistance even when their own staff never shows up to clean the room or change the towels, we were there 3 nights! The decor is absolutely hideous, everything is outdated and it is painfully obvious that they have not sunk a penny into this place for at least 2 decades. The shower faucet which is one of those round center knobs would only rotate about an eight of an inch and was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The TV reception reminded me of pre cable days when all you saw was white snow with your picture, probably partially due to the TV which was an ancient 720p, nothing smart about it. Anything that had been repaired looked like it had been done by an inexperienced rookie, sloppy and very unprofessional, toilet was not installed straight and pointed toward the wall, the refrigerator which has no freezer froze all of our food. The bathroom sink was stained, had chipped ceramic and looked like something you would salvage from a garbage heap. Even if the cleaning personnel had showed up, doubt they would do much beyond a cursory going over, the complimentary dog Murphy bed was full of junk, paper clip, crumbs an old pen, yuck. The slider had dog snoodle all over the glass, pee stains on the cement pad, just plain dirty. The only thing that made this bearable is that we spent very little time in the room. RIDGEMARK - SPEND SOME MONEY AND FIX UP THESE ROOMS, HIRE SOME COMPETENT PERSONNEL WHO TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR JOBS!

Scenery was nice, hotel was awful. Needs a SERIOUS update! King sized beds were hard as a rock with 3 measly pillows that were also... HARD AS A ROCK! The bedding is that which youd expect of someones rarely used guest bedroom in the basement. Room was seemingly clean, but dingy and my socks were dirty from walking around. Coffee pot had a small amount of leftover coffee, toilet had hairs and cleaning product behind the toilet seat. Bathroom had peeling wallpaper from the moisture. Tv was small, outdated and no tv guide. Room was very large, but had a lot of empty space and needed more furniture. If youre a big golfer and plan to spend most of your time outside, maybe this is for you. If youre looking for a nice hotel to enjoy inside, look elsewhere!Its way overpriced if youre not golfing. Staying elsewhere now for -$30 and the room is way nicer. Absolutely, do NOT recommend!

This place has really gone downhill as far as upkeep on the landscaping. Pull a weed for goodness sake. But other than that its ok. The rooms to stay in are spacious and the beds comfy. Barn yard decor is questionable, wouldnt go there for a romantic weekend (unless you like barnyard animals on the walls). The restaurant is ok, nothing special. Service nothing to write home about but passable.It used to be nicer but looks like its not been kept up.

It is Saturday morning. Parking lot is full. Lots of people excited to enjoy the day . I was there for breakfast / lunch . Food was good . Service sucked. I asked for blue cheese dressing 3 times. 1st 2 times I was served ranch. When I asked for coffee I was told we are out . Someone must have stolen it. We expect a delivery on Tuesday. Really? The weather was very nice and the staff seemed very helpful for the single night I stayed. The golf course seemed to be well maintained and the food smelled wonderous. I only visited for the room so I have really no say whether all the courses were well maintained or if the food was any good. The rooms and bathrooms are in need for an update. They are very basic looking. The place seemed very basic as well. It is no Holiday Inn or Best Western, but better than those cheap looking hotels.

I couldnt care less about old carpet or scuffs on the base board in the room. The wall AC and heater unit looks 10 years old. So what? Ridgemark has ginormous, spacious rooms and bathrooms. They are clean. The rooms look out to a beautiful golf course. Pets are welcome. The place is very peaceful. They serve good food in the bar and grill. The staff is friendly and attentive, although you NEED TO CHECK IN by 9:00pm. This place has a lot of return customers, who wont stay anywhere else in Hollister. If you want to stay here, youll notice many days with no vacancy, so reserve quickly. I am always a happy customer, for the casual relaxing stays I have at Ridgemark.

Great golf course! I loved that the golf cart seats were padded and cloth, made the round so much better. As for the course, its great! I wasnt having the best round. After my 18 holes we went to the clubhouse and sat at the bar for some food and it was some of the best Ive had at a golf course. Anyone interested, please stop by and play a round.

This place was a disappointment. It’s straight out of the 80s. Bad tile, dirty, disgustingly old and gray towels, bugs in the room. Run down and sorely needs an update. The screen door in our room was just fallen off the track and no one felt the need to fix it. The reception never answers the phone and uses covid as the excuse. Feels like they are capitalizing on the fact that there’s nothing else around and people come for weddings and have to stay here. Definitely try to find somewhere else to stay. Management/owners need to invest in their business and show that they care about their customers.

The rooms are a bit dated and could use some new paint, fixtures, but we were comfortable, lottsa room space, a jacuzzi tub (nice), friendly staff and had secure parking for our motorcycles. Stayed one night. Check in was challenging and felt like a system from the 1990’s before smartphones, or internet for that matter. I had to sign an authorization form because my last name is different than my husband’s and I booked the room on my credit card. A literal wet signature. What is this, a mortgage?My sister’s room was booked by one of our family members and they had to be there in person to check her in. So inconvenient.The rooms omg. Think camp counselor accommodations. Super old bathroom with a JACUZZI tub. Yuk. Cracked and chipped tile everywhere. That 1980’s crystal knob Delta faucet that we all remember, covered in mineral buildup. The cleaning staff can’t be blamed unless their cleaning kits come with industrial strength citric acid. Stained sink.The bed had a corrugated steel headboard. The mattress was probably borrowed from my great auntie’s 1976 Winnebago. The pillows were so bad. The room smelled mildly of cigarettes and pee.All of the lightbulbs were different so the lighting was bright daylight in some areas and soft glow in others.My husband and I had a good laugh. Please save yourself this experience.We legit packed up and left without showering because I didn’t trust any of that mess.1 star. Would not recommend.

Beautiful country club for golfers, the beds were nice in the rooms but Im just used to a bit more cleanliness when it comes to floors, although this is the first time Ive been in a room with hardwood floors and no carpeting. Maybe theyre not required to mop them, I really dont know. But my bare feet got dirty just walking across the floor. Again, wood flooring.Also, everyones there to golf, right? Friends stayed at the hotel 10 years ago and highly recommended we stay here for the weekend. The wedding was a half hour south at Paicines Ranch, and this was the closest hotel where several members of our family could stay together. Normally, I religiously use yelp and TripAdvisor before staying at a hotel due to my dear of bed bugs. I regrettably skipped the research due to recommendations and the fact that it is a golf country club. We first walked in to our room and noticed large stains on the carpet, both in the entry way and bathroom area. My eye was drawn to the high ceiling, and noticed 10 or more spider egg sacs stick onto the wood beam across the ceiling. I decided to check the bed, and was disgusted by very visible white stains on the comforter. I moved to the chair and was disgusted by the same white substance stuck on the chair. I did not let the family unpack or set any bags on the carpet, and kept everything closed in bags on the tile floor. The bathroom was rusted and very visible mildew on the shower, bath, and sink. Has we arrived earlier in the day, we would have left. Because I have young children, and it was 11pm, I didnt have any other option but to stay. The next morning I called other members of my family, and sadly we all had the same experience. As soon as the front desk was open, we cancelled our second night, and the young woman at the desk was not at all surprised by our complaints. Do not recommend anyone stay here! Seems like it has the potential to be a fantastic golf resort, perhaps it was when my relatives stayed 10 years ago.

We tried to go to the New Years celebration in their bar/restaurant and it was beyond AWFUL! The band was terrible (not dancable at all), the lights were all the way up (even though we asked for them to be turned down) so it felt like a cafeteria, most people left before midnight because it was an extremely uncomfortable ambiance. They had no party favors for the New Year (2020 should have been special), no champagne toast and they counted down late (after midnight!). I was at Ridgemark because I was working in Hollester and from previous experiences within the company I work for it was booked for 3 people plus myself and it was a quiet enjoyable stay, we stayed next to the golf course and it was a joy. The rooms were big and well taken care of, they didnt have alot in terms of amenities but it had showers supplies. The only reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because there wasnt really a front desk that was open 24/7 where we could go to and get a spoon or directions or suggestions around town.
