First initial meeting with Dr. Ruiz, he was informative, friendly, thorough. I appreciate that he educated me on what he saw after the “scope process” of my throat and nasal passages. We discussed options, medications, and alternative methods to correct my issue. Leaving the appointment I felt that it was a positive experience and I would highly recommend him to friends in the future.

The best ENT! We brought our child to see Dr. Richard Ruiz yesterday, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. I had my first appointment with Dr. Ruiz. His receptionist and nurse were both friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. When I met Dr. Ruiz I was impressed with how thorough he was in his examinations. He has an easy going and humerus personality, that made me feel relaxed and confident. I am so happy to find an ENT that really knows his stuff and makes me comfortable at the same time! I would highly recommend Dr. Ruiz!!

Went with my wife for her first vist with Dr. Ruiz. Found him to be informative, as he gave a full explanation of my wifes complaint. Reassured us her condition was not cancerous and provided us with several medication options for a secondary problem.My wife, found it difficult to reach his office by phone. When we mentioned this, they provided an alternative to insure she can reach them.Overall, we would recommend Dr. Ruiz, and his staff.

On March 20, 24, I went to see Dr. Ruiz for the first time..I have several issues of as well as clinical anxiety.Upon walking through his doors, the office staff was incredibly professional and pleasant.They were such a relief.Dr. Ruiz examined my ears and he was highly professional and did an amazing job cleaning out my ears without causing me pain.His skill and experience with his tools in delicate areas is unmatched.Further, one can see in his face he truly loves what he does, cares about his patients and is kind man.I am so grateful.Thank you Dr. Ruiz and Jackie.Youre the best.

I was able to get an appointment quickly; within a week. The front staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Ruiz was thorough, friendly, listened to all of my concerns, treated me the same day and came up with a treatment plan that I’m currently following. Overall an excellent doctor’s office and I fully recommend them to family and friends.

Dr Ruiz was nothing short of marvelous, he took his time to diagnose me, answered all my questions thoroughly, I didn’t feel rushed, I felt very welcomed and very well taken care of.The office team were really amazing and helpful, they helped me get a sooner appointment as I was having troubling hearing after a flu, they helped me get a discount since I’m an international patient and don’t have insurance, they helped me find an x ray facility for the best price, and they did great with following up.Overall, I had a very satisfactory experience, and I highly recommend Dr Ruiz.Thank you so much for helping me.

I have been contacting the office for a few weeks now and can’t get anyone to respond.I’m a veteran trying to pursue help through the VA but I need my medical records. I have called, texted, and sent emails. I am asking for very little… the resolution is a 2 minute phone call. The fact that I’m not worth two minutes is a bit frustrating. Patients deserve better. I will probably never get a response so I will have to start this process all over again with new VA doctors.Don’t do this to the next person please…

The staff couldnt be better. They were terrific. But, Dr. Ruiz seemed as if he didnt want to be bothered with us. He was even rude. Maybe he was just having a bad day which, of course, is no excuse. He was great the last time we saw him a couple of years ago.

The day of my first appointment, they took everyone’s appointments before mine and told me because my history is so extensive the doctor wanted to take his time with me. I waited for over an hour. I liked the doctor, but it was still a quick appointment and he never addressed the fact that I had used a recalled nasal spray for bacterial contamination. I was not given any medication. I had a sinus CT done, and Dr. Ruiz failed to mention I have a polyp or mucous cyst, which my other doctor who requested the report told me about. Then I later had a severe sinus issue where the entire left side of my face was suddenly in pain, including all my teeth. This sent me to the dentist with a dying tooth that no longer had sensation. Luckily the dentist gave me antibiotics, which worked and I regained feeling in the tooth and my sinuses cleared. I had called and texted Dr. Ruiz’s office several times while this was going on trying to move up my appointment up, but never got a response until I texted them to cancel my upcoming appointment due to lack of response. Then I got a response right away saying everyone in the office was out with the flu for 3 weeks and they can now get me in right away. Go figure, the cancellation got a reply, but ‘my face is on fire and I have a dying tooth secondary to a sinus infection,’ repeatedly got ignored. I’ll take my business elsewhere where they don’t risk my health and leave me in pain.

The office staff is horrible. I waited well over 2 months for my first appointment. Called, emailed and messaged through their portal to get the details on a cash pay patient. No one ever called or responded to any of my messages. I showed up to my appointment only to be told they only take cash, no debit card. They turned me away and rescheduled for today at 7:45. I show up to this appointment only to find the doors locked and lights off. Waited 10 minutes and no one showed.If you are as sick as I am. Please don’t waste your time here. Very disappointing. The doctor may be great, I don’t know. I never had the chance to see him.

The Doctors assistant and also answering phone that day was very nice. However I was supposed to get an email of the results of my visit. Waited, called and left message and still didn’t get an email. Got charged $350 (cash only) for a first visit and all that happened is that he looked in my nose and ears and said there was a problem and gave me a few suggestions of where I could go next. Very disappointed.

It was my first visit to Dr. Ruiz’s office and had a great experience. Dr. Ruiz explained everything I needed to know thoroughly. He’s patient and takes his time explaining what he observed during the examination.I had nasal blockage the day of my examination in which he removed and I was able to breathe much better afterwards (it was a wow experience). Now I understand why scheduling an appointment with Dr. Ruiz takes time. The doctor gives you very kind attention and above all he listens carefully to your situation and he gives you advice to improve your health. This was my 1st visit to an ENT Dr and Im almost 50. Dr. Ruiz was very thorough, took his time with my exam, explained what was being done and by the time I left the office I knew what what causing my sore throats. He answered my 50 questions and helped me with what I should and should not take for acid reflux. I couldnt have asked for a better ENT Dr.

Dr. Ruiz has been extremely helpful in relieving my sinus concerns that Ive been dealing with the last couple of years. Ive always had issues breathing easily through my nose and Ive done everything for it: allergy shots, nasal rinses, daily antihistamines, and more. Dr. Ruiz took the time to hear out all of the things Ive done and outlined a plan to help me fix the issue surgically. Based on all the interactions with him, I feel 100% confident in him and his ability to alleviate my issues.The only issue I have about his office is that it has been impossible to contact them. Originally I made my first appointment with them via their online portal which has since been de-activated. Apparently, it attempted to schedule me during a time they were unavailable and I was contacted about a week before my appointment to let me know there was an issue and I would need to be rescheduled. Since that no longer works, Ive attempted to call the office each time I need to see them and am informed that for my convenience I can schedule through text. If I dont wish to do that, I can talk to someone who never answers and I am forced to leave a voicemail which isnt returned. If you text, the text isnt returned for at least 1 whole business day. If you email and leave a contact number after not having received a response to your text, you are texted back again at least 1 business day later. If you show up during the scheduled business hours listed here, restated on their phone service, sometimes they are closed with no explanation and you are forced to do one of the things listed above.I enjoy Dr. Ruiz and his service, but I am unsure how to schedule a follow up with him even if that follow up may be over a month from now. If there is some improvement in communication with his front desk, Ill update my review here to reflect the best way to get a hold of them. I look forward to seeing them again and my positive review reflects the service I receive every time Im in the office, but Im just realistically trying to let you know that if you have trouble contacting them, be patient, hes worth it.

After a trip to the emergency room for sinus issues, I was worried about finding a doctor to help with my on-going problems. I had tried another doctors locally, and was terribly disappointed. I gave up hope. I found Dr. Ruiz because of his excellent reviews and I could not be happier. He has been the first doctor to recognize and treat my problems - he listens. After three months of the prescribed treatment, my condition has improved. I still have a ways to go, but I am hopeful. His office staff is amazing; from the front desk to the nurses. If I could add more stars I would! Dr Ruiz was referred to us to care for both my aging parents who are dealing with serious sinus issues. One has had surgery. We ALL felt very confident in him and at ease with him and his staff. He respects your time - and spent as much time as we needed answering our questions, addressing concerns, presenting options, explaining test results and he LISTENS. I was told I have a goiter (not maybe, definitely) that it turns out I don’t have. It was next to impossible to get the lab order to confirm/disprove the diagnosis. Choosing a new healthcare provider can be a daunting task, particularly selecting a Specialist. A personal referral seems ideal, yet is not a guarantee that the level of service will be the same for each person. Even with great “online reviews”, the actual experience a patient has can be much different than what’s “portrayed” in online marketing. Before ever meeting the Physician, any prospective patient will have to meet the physician’s staff, as they are the first point of contact anyone has with the office. A new patient might interact with the staff at least 3 times before ever meeting the doctor, and again after the appointment concludes. Ive had a couple traumatizing, very painful experiences in the past with nurse practitioners trying to remove ear wax for me at other doctors offices and clinics, that lead to a lot of pain and even infections. Maybe Ruiz should find a new job, he obviously dont like the one he has, he is rude and short... Mr. Ruiz, maybe you should look at WebMD for affordable and effective Treatments for minor (slight) ear infections My first visit was pretty much the same, he was more interested in boasting about his ego with his nurse and even had her look into my ear to confirm his greatness. I am so done with this guy. NOT Recommended...

I always enjoy talking with the staff they’re really a fun group of people some drs office don’t have personalities but Dr. Ruiz staff is awesome. Before my visit, I was dealing with an ear infection since Christmas Day (3 weeks). My hearing started to fade, gave me a little anxiety thinking about losing my hearing, Went into urgent care and was only given amoxicillin and told to rest for 2 weeks. I waited about two days and made an appt with Dr. Ruiz. He took his time and explained what was going on in my ear and how to properly go about treating it. The office is clean and staff are friendly and engaging. I felt as if I was at a friends house. Comforting and professional. Ear was drained and prescribed some ear drops! Highly recommend Dr. Ruiz if you’re looking for ear,nose, or throat releif.Thank you Dr. Ruiz!

Im trying to figure out why my experience with this Dr. is so different than the rest. He was super nice and personable, but he was also trying to tell me I had TMJ and that I had problems with my jaws which has never been the case. There was another reviewer who said the same thing about trying to tie in TMJ for some reason and referred me to another network for a CT scan which also refers to him in return I would imagine. To be honest, I think this business is farming reviews because I was never asked to leave a review at all. Even the top ENT offices in the area are not getting this many reviews. Some of the reviews are from people who have never made a review anywhere online before. Beware.

Dr. Ruiz is highly educated and esteemed in his field. He is the Best in not only California, but far ahead of ENTs who treated me in New York and Texas. In 2010 I knew a small bump behind my ear wasn’t normal. Two ENTs in the Temecula area misdiagnosed it. After only 5 min. with Dr. Ruiz he diagnosed a tumor in my parotid gland. It was malignant and he referred me to another Yale trained colleague for surgery. Dr. Ruiz saved my life! Today, he continues to suggest nutrition and other health tips. He referred me to the Best hearing specialist, Don Tucker and others who he respects in their special fields. Dr. Ruiz and his excellent trained staff treat every patient with care, kindness and respect. I am forever grateful to Richard Ruiz, MD.
