My experience with Dr. Rice and his wonderful team is nothing short of fantastic. They have successively turned Dental health into a positive experience. I actually now look forward to going to my regular appointments. I feel better about my smile and myself because I know Rice dentistry has me on a good track and I am in good hands. Of course, let’s not forget about the delicious freshly baked warm cookies they offer on the way out!

I had a post put in today with Dr. Avone, i was supposed to have 2, lower right and left quads. Doctor noticed something in the 3-D photos and X-rays that he didn’t feel comfortable with. He was so kind, I know he was very busy, but he showed me on his screen, explained everything to me and we decided that I would come back, have a check up on the post he did place and decide what would be best to complete the lower left side. His assistant that stayed with me was so wonderful, very professional,caring and explained everything to me in detail to do the care at home. She was so sweet and had very good customer service skills. My family also goes to Rice Dental and we are all happy with the care we receive! All the staff are fabulous and Dr. Rice and all the doctors in their office are above and beyond amazing! They always explain everything about your care in detail and in a way that you understand the procedures. They always treat me with high regard, very professional and you always feel safe that they are extremely knowledgeable in all that they do for you. Yes, they are the BEST!

Definitely five stars to Rice Dentistry for their exceptional services. I recently broke a tooth, so I needed an appointment on short notice. They worked me in right away so I didn’t develop additional problems. The office staff is amazing. In addition to being professional, they are so friendly. I always had an extreme fear of dental work, so for me to be at ease during any procedure says a lot about Dr. Rice. He actually earns a lot more than the max five stars because not only does he do exceptional work, he cares about his patients! He goes that extra mile (or two) making sure the patient is comfortable and not experiencing any discomfort. He really is the best!

She is friendly, helpful and patient as are the other front office staff Desi and Andrea. Wendy is always friendly and helpful. Who knew going to the dentist could be an all-around positive experience? From the moment I walked in to Rice Dentistry, I knew I was in good hands. Mary, Desiree, and Wendy at the front office, were warm, genuine, and friendly. Ann, the assistant that did my x-rays and assisted with my exam, was amazing. She was prompt, kind, and knew how to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Taylor Rice conducted my checkup exam and consultation. He was very professional, engaging, and thorough. He really took the time to talk to me about my dental health. I never felt rushed, he treats his patients as if they are each his only one. I had complete faith in his knowledge and recommendations. My cleaning was done by Tracy. It has been so long since I have had a cleaning that I was satisfied with. Tracy did a perfect, thorough cleaning. She also took her time with me, made sure I was comfortable, and made sure the job was done right... again very professional.Sure...the day of experience was good...but the biggest positive for me was the trust I felt in this office. It is obvious that everyone in there was so dedicated to their respective duties. It is very well run. I have finally found a place I can call my dentist.

Today was my second visit to Rice Dentistry. I was inspired to return by my first visit. I felt immediately welcomed from the lobby to the chair. Ive got over a dozen crowns installed at Rice Dentistry and Im very happy about it. Heres how it happened. I initially had my 6 crowns installed at other dentist, then I started bleeding from my gums only after a few months. Then I visited Rice Dentistry. The shocking news was my installment was not done properly considering biological width, which is the proper distance between crowns and gums. In nutshell when your dentist does not know this concept biological width AND is able to install it properly, your gum may have bleeding and/or inflamation for lifetime. So, my solution was to have all crowns redone by Rice Dentistry and gum problems stopped! Since crown installment is a big decision and investment, I go to Rice Dentistry for all my crown and dental issues.

However, that all changed for me when I had my first appointment at Rice Dentistry.The folks at Rice Dentistry are just good people...friendly, genuinely concerned about your well being, and super professional. Moreover, the facility it top notch...clean, very well decorated, lots of cool technology, and an experience by itself. Plus as you are waiting (which was not long at all), they have snacks and bottled water for you. Just a nice touch.At the end of the day, going to the dentist is still not my favorite thing to do, but going to Rice Dentistry was a really excellent experience. Called the front office and was interrogated by the lady about why I am switching from my current doctor. I have really good insurance and understand dr. Rice is not in network for any insurance. She thought I don’t understand how it all works. Please advise the front lady not be presumptuous. All I needed was an appointment to come in and trust my teeth to dr. Rice. She ruined my day with her intrusive and rude comments.

I was always someone who hated going to the dentist, but now I love going because everyone is so friendly and make every experience so positive. Excitedly today was the midway follow-up visit for my Invisalign treatment!😬 Dr. Taylor Rice and I were eager to see how effective the first 7 weeks of my mouth trays had progressed. Much to both our surprise the trays have been actively shifting my teeth, jaws closer together and have also eliminated my painful jaw misalignment😊🎉💗 I couldn’t be happier!The entire staff cheered and encouraged me to keep going. This review is long overdue, so Ill try to go in-depth with it. My apologies to the staff and Dr. Rice for this being so late!Rice Dentistry is among all things very friendly and welcoming. The building itself is tidy, the waiting room is well kept, and the offices are designed in a clean, modern fashion. The staff is always there to greet you, and Ive yet to ever see any frowns! Each of them act as part of a family of sorts, and it really eases any nervousness that I might have. Youll usually spend a very brief time waiting (Ive never had to wait longer than maybe 10-15 minutes at most), to which youll be kindly brought to your appointment room and receive a summary of the gals of your appointment that day. One thing Ive always appreciated is when theyll ask questions and inquire as to whether you the patient have any questions for them. Theyre terrific at keeping the patient well informed! Dr. Rice (both of them!) is kind as kind can be, and explains his processes, reasoning, and procedures thoroughly while still keeping it understandable to someone who doesnt necessarily practice dentistry. The results from their appointments are striking as well, myself achieving the set goals faster than expected (in particular, I had braces that straightened my teeth faster than expected, along with a couple smooth filling sessions that feel great to this day) After each appointment, the staff was very good on getting the next appointment date set, and from there it was until the next time Id step into their office to do it all over again!If its at all possible to enjoy a dentist visit, its at Rice Dentistry!

I came here to get some orthodontics work done. I have a bit of a complicated history with my teeth...I had not seen the dentist for about 15 years and just got treated for periodontist. The initial screening was done via an online form where I took some pictures and complete a profile about my. During the first appointment, I was unsure if it was going to work out give my condition, but things went super smooth. Dr Taylor Rice confidently assured me that everything will work. He also remarked that I did the right thing by not agreeing to get my molars removed from my previous dentist; he recommended to always get a second and third opinions to find somebody who has a better solution to the problems you have. He was the first doctor to complement me on my teeth (I never had a cavity), which I was a pleasant surprise. This definitely restored a bit of my confidence! Other dental offices only had negative things to say. On top of all this, Dr Rice gave me a lot of options for my huge teeth gaps. Unlike other places Ive been to that told me it may not be possible to treat because my gums have receeded too much. He gave me a clear picture of what is happening and a solid plan to treat all of the issues. He answered all my questions and addressed all my subsequent concerns. He is clearly experienced and professional. The staff were very welcoming and the equipment was clean and modern. The cost was very affordable.

I wrote a very long review on Yelp which details why Dr. Rices Dentistry is the best dentist in Orange County-- heck, the best out of the 5 other cities I have lived in for that matter! All the way from the warm blanket I received on this cooler morning, to the gooey cookie on the way out I was able to grab. My experience with Dr. Rice and staff was amazing! If there was a 10 star rating, they would certainly get it! Over the holidays, I was in so much pain due to a decayed tooth that needed a root canal. In addition to that, I broke my back bottom molar. Both teeth needed crowns and Dr. Rices staff was kind enough to squeeze me into their busy schedule so I could get the problem fixed. Talk about amazing customer service!!! They treated me like royalty from the minute I walked in the door. They were professional, yet took a personal interest in me and wanted to find out how they could best meet my needs. My brother (who hates any kind of doctor visit) raved about his experience with Rice Dentistry, so I became a patient as well. From the start, they got to know me and my oral health. The dentists and hygienists didnt just treat my initial problem (a botched root canal from another dentist), but really thought about my concerns. They suggested preventative measures (other than just brushing and flossing). The entire staff and office environment is impeccably professional and simultaneously friendly and comfortable. They know their patients, they remember details, and their care and competence is the best Ive seen. As if that wasnt enough, my dad (who also became a patient) received an after-hours phone call from Dr. Rice, who called to see if he was doing okay after a dental procedure, and asked if he had any questions. Wow. Even with all this extra attention to detail, the costs are incredibly reasonable and comparative to other dentists in the area. Im continuously impressed, Ive never been disappointed, and I now even travel from out-of-state to come back and have my check-up with them.

Ive always been one of those people that loves going to the dentist. People look at me like Im crazy, but theyd know why I felt that way if they went to this office. My front tooth started coloring and my previous dentist discovered the tooth was dead. I had to get a root canal and the dentist said I needed a veneer. My mom heard of Dr Rice and how amazing he was at veneers so I had to go see him for my situation. After evaluation he said I don’t need a veneer and they could save my tooth by added internal bleaching for the tooth and add to the shape of the tooth to make them even and fill in the part of my tooth that was shaved off from the root canal procedure. I was so grateful for Dr Rice and his incredible staff for saving my tooth so I didn’t need to get a veneer and I can keep my natural tooth! I can now smile with confidence again and I sometimes even forget which tooth he worked on because it’s so perfect! I’m forever grateful for his help, talent, knowledge, and craftsmanship. As I wait for the numbing agent to wear off from my most recent visit, I can think of no better way to distract my hunger than to write this overdue review.I first visited Rice Dentistry a few years ago to replace a crown. I had no idea the replacement of that crown would also come with plenty of professionalism, care, attention to detail, warmth, education, and smiles from both myself and the staff. Since then, I have returned for a few other crown adjustments and all my scheduled bi-annual cleanings with Miki.I have no worries when appointment time comes because I know my teeth are in the best hands providing me the best possible experience. Today, I could have fallen asleep as Dr. Taylor drilled inside my mouth. Thats how comfortable you are at Rice Dentistry. If youre cold theyll give you a blanket. They truly provide a 5-star experience:From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by super friendly front desk staff who already somehow know your name even though it’s your first time at the clinic. When the dentist/hygienist are ready to see you, Wendy walks you into the back office to better understand your needs, concerns, and desired dental health/cosmetic results before you even see Dr. Rice.Afterwards, your comments are all communicated verbatim to the doctor who then takes the time to actually go over all the answers you provided on your new patient paperwork, in thorough detail.Yeah, as it turns out, that new patient paperwork that 99.9% of doctors and dentists essentially just toss into a black hole actually has a purpose!I’ve never felt so confident in a dentists diagnosis before. Dr. Rice took the time to go over every tooth by analyzing the X-Rays and HD photos collaboratively with me while I was in the dentists chair. They have a lovely, kind Case Manager who listens to your priorities and financial limits and helps to schedule procedures accordingly. When you do arrive to your appointments, the wait time is minimal to none although the waiting room has every comfort of home, including coffee, water, snacks, up-to-date magazines and tv. Every staff member and professional, from each assistant to Dr. Rice (either one, son or father) and Dr. Ravon (surgeon who did my bone graft) is kind, considerate, respectful and makes every effort to make the whole process comfortable. 1/30/14:I will say, I never thought I would give a dentist a 5 star rating, in my life. I am so petrified of dentists offices, I will come up with ANY excuse not to go. And I mean, ANY!I generally end up in a dentists office because I have been forced by horrible pain somewhere in my mouth.I was referred to Dr Rice and was told I would love his office and the way they do business... and I did.I have extensive work that needs to be done. I probably have an issue with almost every tooth in my mouth. The most important right is a root canal I had done a year and a half ago. I never had a temporary put on and of course never got the crown. I am very thankful that post has lasted this long.Dr Rice is the 4th dentist I have seen in the last two years. The first wanted to remove all of my teeth. NEXT. The second was great but ended up referring me out for almost everything I needed done at the time and then was forced to medically retire. The third, who took his place, never got back to me with a treatment plan, despite many phone calls I had to make to him.My first visit with Dr Rice was very smooth, I was actually very comfortable. I was taken into an office first, to discuss my concerns and what I was there for. After, everything was explained to Dr Rice, and then I had Xrays done. Dr Rice came in and discussed each tooth with me, and what needed to be done.Without even having to ask, I was given a treatment plan that same day. With pricing. Thats exactly what I wanted from the last dentist and could not get. They broke my work down into 5 Phases. It is a LOT of work, and a LOT of money, but it has to be done. I have scheduled the first two phases already and will do the third and fourth after that. Phase 5 I will wait until 2015 most likely. I am so thankful they gave me everything I wanted, right there in the office, so I didnt have to wait, and had no question of what everything will cost.I am looking forward to getting my mouth fixed and maintained in the very near future, and definitely recommend this office for anyone who is fearful of dentists. They will take care of you :)2/4/14:I had my first cleaning this morning and it was GREAT! I went in feeling comfortable, and relaxed, which again - has never happened for me at a dentists office. They offer you spa gloves for your hands, and they clean your rings that you remove while enjoying the gloves. It was so nice! I have REALLY sensitive teeth so the hygienist applied a gel to numb my gums so it was less painful. No shots, no lasting effects, just temporary numbness to help the cleaning.I am so impressed with this entire dentists office. My next appointment is in a couple of weeks and my next four appointments will be big ones, with a LOT of work done each time, and I dont even have any anxiety about it!

Rice Dentistry is awesome! They’ve helped me with a bunch of tooth issues including crowns and braces and I’m always impressed with their professionalism. Highly recommend!

Cannot recommend Rice more highly. Cross between a spa and a dentist office and that’s what Rice is. Best team and highest level of service I’ve ever received from a dentist.

My experience with Dr. Rice Dentistry is 100% perfection! My family has been going there for over 10 years and this is a top notch, professional organization unlike any we’ve ever known! From the constant reminders and text-based communication, to the excellent and polite care from start to finish, to the skill of the hygienist and Dentists, everyone is friendly, professional and proficient. They help you with medication if you are afraid, do an amazing job of putting you at ease, and keep up with your teeth year after year to make sure you’re making the right decisions. These people are the best dentists Ive ever been to hands down, very professional and personal as well as gentle with your teeth which is a big one for me as every other dentist Ive been to for teeth cleaning usually scrapes to hard or nicks your gums but they do it perfectly.
