2023-03-02 03:09:25We used Residential Heating & Air Conditioning to replace our 50 year old gas furnace with a heat pump, so we can have safer & more efficient heating, and enjoy cooling in the summer as well. This companys quote was competitive, and they were very easy to work with. Their crew (Abel, Ray, Nick, Noah, Tyler) always arrived within their promised time window, they kept our place clean, and they installed everything exactly as promised, with no surprise extra costs. Though Im no HVAC expert, the quality of their installation seems to be very good, and we had no trouble with the city permit inspection. I also appreciate that they followed through to work out some small adjustments/kinks after the installation was complete. With this unusually cold winter, weve been very happy with our systems ability to keep our (poorly insulated, old) home warm, and were looking forward to a more comfortable summer as well!

2022-07-28 01:07:22I am updating my review after a quick and professional response from the owner, service manager, and service tech after I called to let them know about the issue. They responded with a quick evaluation, but when I tried to get a call for start date and how long it would take I could not get a call back. I gave them 2 chances all without return of phone call. Apparently, there were missed messages from the customer service rep to the service tech. The owner offered reasonable solutions to my issues and I appreciate the follow up from the owner, service manager, and service tech, but I choose to go with another company due to the delay.

2023-03-22 17:01:29Weve been quite pleased with Residential throughout the entire process of installing a heat pump, from estimate to installation, to walking us through the rebate process. They have been timely, transparent, and responsive, and we would recommend them wholeheartedly.

2022-09-04 05:05:40Our AC thermostat stopped working on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend during the heatwave with temperatures in the 90s. I had previously used Residential Heatingand Air (their technician Timo was excellent) and immediately called them. The owner Cathy Haire responded and talked us through how to successfully reboot our thermostat —which was a godsend. What truly amazing customer service! We highly recommend them as an outstanding company who do exceptional work and care about their customers.

2022-09-04 21:00:57We have previously used this business to replace an old AC compressor with fast, professional, and excellent results (Timo is a gem!). Then yesterday, during the Labor Day Weekend heat wave with temperatures in the 90’s, our old AC thermostat stopped working. We called the office just before 5pm and the owner, Cathy Haire, picked up the phone and patiently talked us through how to reboot the furnace and the thermostat. This completely solved the problem and saved the rest of our weekend. What amazing service and customer care!!! This business is outstanding!!!

2021-10-24 18:46:24Wonderful experience with Residential. We just completed a replacement of our air and heating system, on time and on budget. Since were on a hill, the install was a bit more complicated, yet the Pros at Residential were undeterred. Theyve maintained our system for years and we are so pleased now that the new system is up and running in time for winter. So much better.Wed like to give a special shout out to David, Andrew and Matt, Jessie, Nick and Noah. 2x for Noah for painting the conduit to match the house paint.

2020-08-15 19:56:35My first encounter this company was when I had a leak in my furnace. They responded promptly and the representative was very professional and attentive. Then I went shopping around for an AC, it seems to be hard to compare between Residential and other companies that came by for the estimation. The representative (Nick) was professional, thorough and honest. The professionalism continued when they came to install the unit, with great attention to details by the crew. Later on they followed up sending their representative to assist passing the city inspection. My experience with Residential was awesome and I will definitely come back to them for all my HVAC needs!

2022-12-04 00:48:51If you are building or remodeling a new home or a HVAC system(s) and Residential Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. (Resi) comes up in the quoting and bidding process, choose Resi. If Resi are not on the quoting and bidding list, add them. If someone tells you that you could save money by going with one of their other trusted but unlisted resources, get multiple points of confirmation youre not being lied to (otherwise, chances are, you are). Pay now or pay later; but, one way oranother, you will pay (see below). Given the chance and choice, I would strongly encourage paying NOW to work with Cathy and her Resi team. Theyll get it right--the first time, youll delight in working with them in the process, and theyll be there for you when and if you need them in the future for regular service and scheduled maintenance. Like anyone worth working with in construction-related trades in todays world, they are busy, but they are worth the wait.We built and completed a new home in Fall 2017 with the design and installation of other resources. The design resources were quite capable and designed and delivered specifications for an HVAC system of quasi-commercial level. However, the installation resources, unfortunately, we only learned later were not trained and certified HVAC technicians and, most certainly, were not trained and certified Mitsubishi Electric (our HVAC system brand) technicians. The general contractor had promised these experienced and well-trained and -certified installers would save us thousands and get the work done on schedule. But, even as we worked toward HVAC system commissioning and bring-up we had issues with the HVAC system that we escalated with the general contractor and the subcontractors that went unresolved. Eventually, the general contractor and subcontractors went bankrupt, closed up shop, and we were left with an ill-performing and often-broken HVAC system.Left holding the bag, we began the search for a reputable, trusted, competent, thorough, and technical HVAC company and team willing to build a relationship and take on our HVAC challenges and bring the HVAC system to a state we and the original engineering designers knew it was capable of.Fortunately, through our architects, we were referred to an energydesign consultant who, in turn, referred us Cathy Haire and her team at Resi. Where other referrals flat out refused to work on someone elses design or installation--particularly one with problems, Cathy and her team were willing to listen to the problems; understand the system (including its original design) and installation; and to work with us to methodically solve them. So, October 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, nearly three years after we moved in, Cathy and her outstanding master technician, Ryan Anderson, came out over a couple of October days and worked with us to: document the scope and scale of the problems; through construction photos and as-builts to understand existing conditions; and built a prioritized action list with labor and part cost estimates to rehabilitate our HVAC systems and bring them back up to their full, intended performance. Two years, a 26-point work item list, and a little under $33,000 later, five years after we moved in and took occupancy of the home, Cathy, Ryan, and the Resi team have provided us with a powerful, quiet, efficient, serviceable and highly- functional Mitsubishi City-Multi S-Series + Nest system that finally works so well that we did something we had never done five years prior: we turned the thermostat cooling set points up two degrees since the house was simply too cold at the prior set points with the system functioning correctly.

2020-04-03 23:23:25We had an electrical issue that damaged our furnace. Even during these strange times. Jim was dispatched within an hour. Very appreciative for his professionalism and commitment to customer service. The team in the office were great too. Will definitely use them to upgrade our HVAC equipment. If you have problems, call them ASAP!
