2024-04-09 15:47:52The quality of service at this establishment has been quite disappointing during my week-long stay. Notably, the cleanliness of the kitchen, including the oven and the kitchen bell, leaves much to be desired. Furthermore, the breakfast offerings are subpar, as they consist of items left over from the previous day. Despite repeatedly inquiring about the availability of dairy-free eggs due to my allergy, I was informed that only store-bought frozen eggs containing dairy were available. For individuals with dairy sensitivities or allergies, I would strongly advise against patronizing this establishment.

2024-05-29 10:03:17Had a broken toilet and reported it at 7 am on Saturday.. the guy didnt show up to fix it until noon ... On SUNDAY.I didnt leave my hotel room on Saturday. I just happened to hear a maintenance guy knocking on a door near me and he fixed it Saturday around 3 pm. When he asked if I reported it, I told him and he rolled his eyes. Apologized. And fixed it.Sounds like the tall, young maintenance guy is known for being unreliable.

2024-02-15 04:34:09Very disappointed with the cool temp of the hot tub. It looked steamy and hot but getting in was more like lukewarm. Rooms could use an update for sure. Breakfast is good and the housekeeper did a nice job.

2023-10-16 08:49:37We stayed here this past weekend. Marina (I think that was her name) was the front desk when we checked in, she was great. Very accommodating. All of the staff members we came in contact with were friendly, and very hospitable. Breakfast was great, very clean and organized. However I wanted to leave this review mainly for the hotel itself - whoever is in charge of replacing and repairing equipment. We checked in, and the 1st room we were initially assigned rm 117 one of the lamps didn’t work. As I walked to the bathroom I seen the sink was half filled with water, there was hair in the sink & it was obviously clogged. Called the front desk and we were immediately accommodated with another room without hesitation. The front desk was very concerned and asked in detail what was wrong so they could have it fixed immediately. When we settled into the 2nd room 131, everything was working. No issues with plumbing at all. However the biggest turn off was the pull out sofa bed. The mattress was worn out, nearly flat. And I was honestly disgusted by the stains on the mattress, it looked like there was a huge blood stain smeared across & the mattress was clearly just flipped over I’m guessing in hopes guests wouldn’t see or notice. Whoever has power to replace and repair these issues, please do so.The swimming pool, we took a swim around 7-8pm and noticed the water had residue on the surface. Almost like an oil? There was also “stuff” in the water, not sure if it was cotton, padding floating around? Didn’t stick around long to find out. Also noticed there were huge spiders on the equipment surrounding the pool.Whoever is in charge or has power to replace, repair, or maintain cleanliness please take into consideration this review. Cleanliness is top priority.

2024-03-25 19:17:42Centrally located. 20 mins from Legoland. 20 mins from the beach. Nice put stops and pub in the same center. Minerva provided very good service and was so welcoming. Will return. Oh! And basic complimentary breakfast served.

2023-11-06 00:00:14I rarely leave negative reviews but this one is very warranted. I would not recommend this hotel at all. I would actually AVOID it all costs. Heed the warning folks. The hotel rooms are very dated and tired and the bed was terrible. I didnt get very much sleep because the mattress was unfortunately very uncomfortable. The AC was not working properly which definitely effected my stay. Hotel management was very rude. I could delve further into this but Im not going to get personal because Im better than that. Look at previous comments about management and youll get a clear picture about how they treat guests here if you have a problem or issue.I get the feeling that they could care less about your Marriott status.I would especially warn Bonvoy Elites to stay away unless you want a crummy experience. I know if youre an Elite and you have been to a property where they treat you like one of the family and you love to go there over and over and over.....well, this aint the place, let me tell you. You were warned! The only nice people I met were the front desk agents. I didnt try the breakfast so I couldnt say if it is good or not.Last but not least, the location is not very good in my opinion. Its not anywhere near the beach or ocean and it seems like it is a lot closer to Vista than Oceanside. There are many nicer, cleaner and closer hotels to the Oceanside Beach if thats your main priority.

2023-08-06 01:16:42Im not very picky or prissy when it comes to hotels/inns, especially when this stay was because my apartment had a bee infestation...so I was just looking for an disabled accessible room that was clean. both were mainly true. I always prefer a walk in / roll in shower for safety because of my muscle disease but the amount of grab bars & good grip on the tub, it was fine. I do however dislike when the bathrooms dont have bath mats. there was basically just a thin towel in front of the tub that would slip around and made me a bit nervous for my safety. cant complain about the bed. we got one king bed for my mother and I to share and it was plenty of room and decently comfortable for a hotel bed. if you cant sleep on firm beds, youll have a rough time. kitchen was all I needed! didnt end up needing to use the dishwasher but loved having the option because my stay timeline was unknown on the first day. the sofa bed we only used as a sofa, and it is a very low and uncomfortable place to sit but both of us had other places wed rather sit anyway. everything was seemingly clean and accessible besides a few marks on the walls that I assume have been cleaned for ages and have just become permanent. the biggest issue we had over our two night stay was the wifi going out once a night and the cable going out for about a half hour on our last night. the wifi was alright to just reconnect immediately but it was around 4am when a popup came on our TV that said we had been checked out of our room and no longer had use of the TV and it shut off. I tried calling the 24/7 front desk nearly 10x and no answer. luckily the cable came back after a while but clearly the late night service help is not so good. overall I would probably return but the new hires, that I heard of at check in when our card hadnt been saved on our room reservation, may need more training or help. for guests with much less patience than me and my mom.

2023-08-31 02:54:16We stayed here for about a month while an insurance claim was being taken care of. We loved the staff and got to know them well. Beds were comfy, rooms were spacious and we loved to firepit and pool areas. We stayed in room 123 which I would advise against if youre a light sleeper. The ac for the whole floor is outside the bedroom and just rhe other side of rhe headboard and it clicks on and off all night. Hubby and I were heavy sleepers so it didnt bother us. It definitely felt like home.

2023-07-05 18:36:48I don’t like to leave negative reviews. In fact, this is my first. The customer service here though is exceptionally poor and the assistant general manager doesn’t seem to care so I’m leaving a warning for future tenants of this space. Overall, our stay was fine. We stayed for several weeks because of damages to our home. However, towards the end of our stay, the hotel room next to ours flooded which ended up coming into our room (turned out to be a catalyst to us leaving even though we still need a place to stay because we will be out of our home for quite some time). They were willing to let us switch rooms but they didn’t have a good space for us in their hotel that would accommodate our family (we would have been separated) which forced us to have to move out as we didn’t want to be separated as we have four young kids. The really unfortunate part was that the hotel didn’t care about the inconvenience and took zero proactivity to right the situation. I have tried to speak with their assistant general manager who felt like because I agreed to the water being extracted from the carpets, that I didn’t care about the flood. (They seemed to think that was plenty to remedy the situation…it was ok for the short term but in the long term, the carpets should have been ripped out, dry wall removed, etc. Earlier that day there was literally a small lake in the hall there was so much flooding. So maybe beware of mold and mildew growth as well.) She then offered me 2,000 Bonvoy points for the inconvenience. For reference, one weekend night in that particular hotel runs at about 25,000 points so 2,000 is plain mockery. Anyway, there is more detail to the story than I care to continue to articulate. Just know that if you end up in an unfortunate situation, they don’t care much to try and make it up to you even after making them a small fortune by occupying 2 rooms for 26 nights.
