The entire hotel smells like mold. Water stains on the ceiling. The gutters are full of leaves and debris which only makes the mold problem worse. Windows so dirty you can barely see out of them. Water leaking all around the exterior causing black mold near the windows and doors. Broken sprinklers going on and off all night long. TV was broken and the remote was grimy and sticky. Couch and desk chair had boogers wiped on them. Thin walls so you can hear every footstep and door slam. Charge for parking but youre surrounded by large empty lots. Really not impressed with Marriott these days.

We recently came down for a weekend trip to watch the Edmonton Oilers and the LA Kings and a few of us stayed here. We rented a car to get around and it was about 20 minutes from Santa Monica and 20 minutes from the arena (we werent travelling during peak hours). The hotel itself was amazing. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was decent, the pool was very clean and quiet (somewhat isolated on the inside of the property). When we first arrived we were given a room that was a little musty and the staff had no problem giving us another room right away. The new room was fantastic - comfortable bed, large, spacious, full kitchen. The hotel was right next to a 7-eleven, a train station and a handful of other restaurants. Also 5 minute drive or so from Manhattan beach. All in all, a great value if youre getting around LA by car!

We came for Fathers Day weekend and had a great stay. It was clean, spacious, the staff were friendly, and it was convenient to everywhere we needed to go. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to families and anyone traveling in the area.

We came from Reno to attend the Monster Truck World Finals at SoFi. This location was perfect proximity to everything. The front desk staff was cheerful and pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived.In the hustle and bustle of trying to head back to Reno, My 4 year old left his limited edition monster truck toy at the hotel room and he was devastated. I reached out and the lovely front desk person contacted housekeeping and they found the toy and offered to send it back!Id definitely recommend staying here! The kitchen was an awesome addition with 2 little ones and the pool was clean and enjoyable!Thank you guys so much for an awesome experience on our trip!

Liked: rooms were a good size, proximity to LAX, how the hotel covers your incoming transportation costs from the airport (they pay you back in cash), and they also prepay for your Taxi ride back to LAX. The included morning breakfast is good, with lots of options (including coffee bar). Front desk staff friendly, service requests to the room fast.Disliked: very few dining options nearby (you’ll need a car or Uber), property itself is dated and needs renovations (hallways and bathrooms especially).

My first visit here had rooms in the first building, very quite, with little to no noise. If you stay in the second building make sure your room doesnt end in 40. These rooms face the metro line, which seems to start running at 4am. Either ask for a discount, different room or be prepared to run your fan on high to drown out the noise.

The gym / fitness center is pretty good. It has a Life Fitness multi functional trainer that is in good condition. The gym also has dumbbells up to 50lbs, and a decent set of kettlebells.You’ll need a car or Uber to get anywhere.

This was my second time staying here. The staff is extremely friendly. The beds were comfortable and it was nice and quiet. I really like how it was easy to get to various restaurants and shopping centers. It was also easy to access the freeway from here. Definitely recommend this location to my friends and family.

This Marriott is great. We had a good time here. Very close to Manhattan Beach and the airport. The reason I have scored it down is we didn’t get to use the pool or jacuzzi as it was far too busy! I did mention this too reception they agreed and they said it can like that with big families taking over the place. I didn’t feel we got maximum value from this as we lost the Ability to use the pool. The room was great size however on the first night I couldn’t sleep as the air conditioning was way too loud and when the technician came he said that’s a standard sound for it, surprising as I stay in many hotels and it’s not like that at all. Great hotel for long stays, it has its own kitchen in the room, with a big fridge.Location is very convenient, very close to the airport, but not close enough to be noisy.Some of the food of the breakfast is in place even like 15 min before the official breakfast hour.Rooms are clean and comfortables.The only thing is that the curtains do not block all the light from the windows during the night.Nonetheless if I ever go back, I for sure will stay there.

So, granted I didn’t pay for this room cause I came with family. The room was cute but my parents room was not finished. Missed towels and a few pillows. When asking for the pillows were suppose to, we were told that it was an extra charge. Also, the hairdryer didn’t work. It wasn’t all bad though. The breakfast was good and they had enough equipment for a decent work out. If we came out here for another game and stayed the night, we might just come back

We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott LAS/El Segundo and was pleasantly surprised. It is an older hotel but the staff takes care of the hotel as if they owned the property. We travel a lot and stay at various Marriott level hotels and we rate this one at the very top of the list. The staff keeps the rooms EXTREMELY clean (I didnt see dust in corners, hair, nothing but cleanliness), the breakfast was hot with real food and great coffee, and the location of the hotel is great.

Matthew and Andy are the only reason this place is receiving 3 stars.If you are on a trip and this is what you can afford, do it, but dont expect anything other than the bare minimum. Marriott RIs post pandemic are a shadow of what they used to be.The breakfast is not worth getting out of bed for. Theres no more happy hour. And, you are lucky if you receive a full cleaning of your room. Its normally just new towels, trash removal, bed made, and add more water to the Palmolive soap bottle.You will need to wear shoes on the carpet - DO NOT WALK BAREFOOT INSIDE, cover the couch and chairs to sit on them. The mattresses look newer, which is great. The towels appear to get good bleaching, but the bathrooms havent been upgraded since the property was built. Super low toilets, with literally a drop to sit on them and the shower/tubs have dirty/molded caulking that should be bleach out but theres probably no time in the cleaning schedule to do this.THIS IS AN EXTENDED STAY HOTEL. MEANING YOU WILL NEVER GET A 4TH FLOOR ROOM UNLESS YOU ARE THERE FOR AN EXTENDED STAY. There will be little feet running around above and in the hallways. And, its party central by the pool, so if you need a quiet afternoon/ evening, stay away from rooms in that area.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had to travel for my husbands job. The hotel, had the perfect proximity within his engagement. There were two issues. One in our bathroom there were termites. The last issue there was a strange smell on the first level of our unit. It would get stronger as you declined the stairs and walked toward the hall to the pool. However honestly, none of that messed up our two day stay.

Stayed the night after flying into Los Angeles for a concert. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Room was clean. The hotel is near LAX and Sofi Stadium, which was perfect for us. They reimburse Uber / Lyfts costs from LAX, and will pay for a taxi back to LAX. Free breakfast was good and what you would expect. They did have cold brew coffee, which was a bonus.

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and is easily accessible by car. Self-parking is a piece of cake for only $17 a night. The room was spacious and clean with a coffee maker, full fridge, and dinette area. I fully intend to return to this hotel next time I travel for business to LA.

Here is my experience, the receptionist was a nice and friendly. Hot breakfast buffet, was good. However, the rooms smell wasnt good. The big concern is that my son was sick, so I had to take him to the hospital after midnight, and there were some weird people downstairs at the swimming pool and some others at the garden smoking a lot of weed and drinking; I felt unsafe, especially with six years old son! This property is NOT family-friendly.

This has been my 3rd stay at this location for a business trip, and Im finally writing a review. This hotel is in a good location and centrally located to many shops and restaurants, and just a short drive to the coast. The rooms have always been very clean and are spacious, and Ive had no issues with internet/wifi. The staff has always been very nice and accommodating, especially Andy (abbreviated), who went out of her way to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible, especially after a prior personal incident. I cannot thank Andy and the rest of the staff enough for making each of my stays a great experience, and I highly recommend this location if youre visiting the area.

I recommend it 100%!!!! It is an excellent play to stay with the family. The staff is very friendly. We met Vanessa and Jackie at the lobby and they were very helpful and resourceful. The staff in the kitchen were also very friendly and kind. We enjoyed of a great breakfast every morning. They offer a great variety of great foods. The rooms were very clean!!!! My family and I love the stay and will love to come back for upcoming vacations. It is located near great beaches, like Hermosa beach and Manhattan beach.

Customer service and overall friendliness alone makes this place deserve 5 stars! The room and bed were very comfortable, and the cleaning staff were more detail-oriented than most places Ive stayed. As for food, the breakfast was consistently good and had the freshest produce Ive ever seen for a hotel breakfast. I also really enjoyed the dinner socials on Mon-Wed! I could hear some noise from the room above me, but bedtime was quiet and I never heard any light rail or airport noise from outside. Overall a fantastic stay, and Ill definitely be pegging this place again when/if Im back for work travel.

Great Customer service during checkin. She explained breakfast, parking fee and the grounds. She gave us choice of which building we wanted to stay in. I took one Star off due to grounds needing renovations, elevators needling upgrades and tlc in the hallways. Overall the stay was good. We would stay again. It was quiet at night. There are a few restaurants close by within walking distance or more within 5-10 minutes drive. It is also close to the Metro. The rooms were spacious and clean. Horrified doesnt begin to describe the experience. My dad stayed here on a business trip. In the early morning hours on his last night, a criminal threw a brick through his window and attempted to break in and attack him. It has been 24 hours since the incident. No one from Marriott Corporate or this location has been in contact with him. I am also a high level long time customer and will be reconsidering our familys travel loyalties.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful! All the time? Really? Yes! Stayed here for about a month for a work related class a couple blocks away. Had a couple issues and requests early on, a room swap due to a broken AC and a slow flushing toilet, and response and helpfulness was quick and with great understanding and consideration for my comfort. Every breakfast and managers special was plentiful, served with smiles, and great attention to what needed to be replenished in very short order. My family visited me one weekend and they too were very happy with their stay, and my boys enjoyed the clean and warm swimming pool. And all other guests I have interacted with during my stay seemed very happy and content with the accommodations and services. Great job to the staff, from maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, and especially the hardworking attandents at meals. Many sincere thanks!

The neighborhood is not great. It is an industrial area. Wifi speed was 46 Mbps down / 61 Mbps up with enhanced internet. I would stay here again.

Stayed while visiting my father for Father’s Day 2021. I was on a 4000 mile motorcycle journey so the convenience of parking my motorcycle in the front was great. The front desk check in people are so friendly and know what they’re doing. The rooms are updated and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We usually stay in Marina Del Rey, but decided to try this one out. We travel here 6-7 days each month so it’s important for us to find a regular place. This one was surprisingly good. It’s not the tourist, party hot spot; it’s a quiet place where you can get a good night’s sleep while still being close to west LA.

This place is nice. We stayed here for 2 weeks. Well kept long-stay hotel. A few amenities like pool and free breakfast every morning. On-site laundry room with affordable machines. One dryer was out of order during our stay. No public free coffee or water dispensers. Hotel Services is always available and prompt. Some repairs needed. Walls are a bit thin. Plenty of parking available at all hours.

I enjoyed the stay here. The room met our needs and lodged the three of us comfortably. The breakfast spread was on par with what you would find at an Embassy Suites and the Residence Inn has close proximity to the Metro for those who dont want to experience traffic on the 405, 110, or any other southern California highway. Room wreaked of cigarettes 24/7. Hotel claims all are non-smoking rooms but that people still smoke in them then pay a fee. While smoke poured in through our vents day and night literally for weeks. All the hotel offered was to come spray some air freshener around. Room smells like a long-time smoker lived there for years. Actually went and bought an air purifier just to survive the stay, while still leaving feeling as if I picked up a pack-a-day habit. Nice room otherwise, but really unhealthy and gross feeling staying there. Would not repeat.

I was on extended work in El Sugundo and was fortunate to stay at the Residence Inn during my time. The rooms are all modern and tasteful. I found everything to be comfortable and clean. For a hotel it is everything one would expect but it was the little things that made it stand out. Things like microwave popcorn that is offered along with the usual assortments of coffee and teas in the room. Perfect for the late night snack when going out isnt what you want to do. Their breakfasts were good with a nice assortment of options. They also have a nice dinner option available from Sunday to Wednesday. Perfect to save on the per diem! All of the staff were super friendly and genuinely worked hard to make you feel welcome. If I ever am working again in the area, I will be certain to stay here again.

Hard to get much closer to the airport than this. For a quick overnight after spending the day at the beach and a flight in the morning, tough to beat this location. You can tell it had been recently remodeled and in great shape but it is a rehab of apartments or other hotel. The one odd thing they didnt replace is the face plates and the plugs and switches. That always shows. Otherwise, clean, convenient, airport hotel at a decent price.

Im giving two stars because of the incident and that doesnt make any sense and the fact that I didnt even receive apology it was like it was no big deal really ticked me off. I pre-paid for my hotel with Expedia so the only thing I had to put a card down for incidentals which I did. They told me I would receive a receipt through Expedia since thats who I had pre-paid with. Im going through my account today and I realize that I was double charged $348. How would you make a mistake to double charge a room and we used different cards. My room was booked with my husband card and I put my card down for incidentals. if you stay here make sure you pay attention to your account.

The room is nice, clean, and spacious. The kitchenette includes a stove top, full sized fridge, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, and coffee maker, as well as any dishes you may need during your stay. The shower is walk in, no bath tub. Pool is currently closed due to covid. The pillows are flat and cheap and definitely not up to standard compared to similar hotels. Staff is very friendly. TV swivels to face either couch(includes a pull out) or the bed. Definitely worth the money but bringing my own pillows next time.

Its been awhile since Ive been treated so royally.Because I have allergies, the desk carefully selected my room, double checked with me that it was OK, and then graciously and quickly re-located me to make it closer to the elevator. .When I thought I lost my laptop, management contacted the entire housekeeping staff, and was ready to make a police report. However, the laptop was safe all along. (I left it on the wrong floor -- I know, never leave your laptop unattended. My bad. )The desk provided a huge bag of ice until I could get the freezer in my room up and running.They enforce a NO SMOKING policy (except in designated areas).The groundskeeper noticed a car with its lights on, looked at the parking pass, and said, Now I know who to notify their lights are on. The lounge is comfortable with a huge TV screen.The sheets were heavy and cotton, as was the bedspread, not polyester! With two TVs, it was hard to decide where I should kick back to relax. Its quiet, I never heard my neighbors or even the elevator bell (and I was next door to the elevator).Housekeeping worked around my schedule. When I asked for 2 extra towels, housekeeping brought me FOUR warm towels fresh out of the dryer. The room was spotless. The housekeeping team works hard (the Friday I checked in there were 75 rooms to clean), yet they are always smiling. One employee likes the workplace so much hes been there 17 years. Whoa!Super close to LAX. Free Shuttle. Took only 15 minutes in LA traffic.A free massage was the only thing lacking : - )Thank you, Residence Inn. I will be back!

Stayed overnight for a business trip and was very surprised how huge the room was. Booked it through a work site and didnt do much research other than proximity to the office and that they had breakfast. It was a two room suite, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining table, 3 TVs, and a fireplace. Ive stayed in the area before, and it was comparably priced to other rooms, but it was huge with a FIREPLACE. It was way above my expectations. They also had a nice outdoor fire pit to hang out around at night by the pool. They had a nice selection for breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, and coffee and tea with to go cups. The area was a little noisy being next to the metro train, but it wasnt enough to keep me awake. Overall I was very happy with the choice and would definitely book it again.

My family and I stay for the weekend while attending my nieces graduation. We had a wonderful and pleasant stay starting with a warm welcome from Aisha at the front desk. She was just amazing all the way around, friendly, beautiful personality, and so very helpful. The grave yard shift greeted us at midnight and took care of our taxi from the airport because the shuttle wasn’t running, then helped me get a taxi to get my rental car the next day! My wife and son who is 1.5 couldn’t have been happier! My son loved to run up and down the easy navigatable hallways ! My son loves the pool and my wife loves the hot tub! Venessa of the grave yard staff was so helpful upon check in and even brought us two bags of ice after we checked In at midnight ! After flying for 9 hours this was a welcome home feeling, and restful peaceful place to stay! WE LOVED IT HERE! Flying back to NY in the afternoon but definitely would come back and stay here again! We stayed here in Summer 2019 for one night. After landing at LAX, we expected a shuttle pickup, as the website indicated to us. We were very tired, coming from an early AM flight from DIA. Unfortunately, no shuttle came to transport us from LAX to the Residence Inn, so we ended up calling the hotel get an explanation.As fate would have it, their front desk was down.So, we ended up getting ahold of the switchboard. After multiple calls, transfers, and being put on hold over and over, plus standing outside watching the other Marriott shuttles go by, we were frustrated. We stood there at the LAX shuttle bay for hours. Yes, you read that right.So, why the five-star review? Well, when we finally decided to just pay for a ride and arrived at the Inn, the front desk was very apologetic and understanding. They appropriately reimbursed us for the cost of our ride there and then made every effort possible to make us happy customers again. Then, at some point after our return home, their manager reached out to us personally and made additional strides to make things right.For all our struggles along the way, their efforts to resolve the issues we experienced brought our stay back to what we expect from a Marriott: a five-star ranking.On a side note, while the breakfast is always great, it did make my girlfriend sick on the flight back. (I know it was their breakfast because I didnt have the biscuits and gravy, but she did.) So, this might be a one-off, but knowing this, Id only try the breakfast on a day of R&R, not travel.To reiterate, the overall experience is still five stars: great location, excellent atmosphere, amazing rooms, and tasty (albeit risky) breakfast. And while the experience was not always positive, this Residence Inn made up for the shortfalls with excellent service.

Solid hotel. We booked a two bedroom/ two bathroom for a wedding and there was plenty of space. Kitchen was stocked with standard equipment also if you wanted to cook (electric stove). WORST STAY EVER! MARRIOTT MEMBERIve never been someone who writes these reviews but my stay here was sooo bad that I just had to! I know there are many good reviews here and go back a few years ago (when I stayed for months) mine would of been positive however, after my most recent stay, I no longer see this place as a good place to stay. From checking in, the staff was rude, especially the girl whos name started with A . who welcomed us with abuse after THEY had overbooked our accommodation and didnt have a room ready for us. I had just flown in from a long flight and this is how Im treated checking into a room that isnt even there for me now?! She did not even try find accommodation at another hotel or anything. Finally we sorted out a different size room (which they still charged me a different rate for, even though I had a confirmed booking prior) and checked in. The stay was at most acceptable but did not have any customer service, assistance or care for a marriott member and the staffs attitude including managers was very much we cant do anything. The hallways smelled of weed, housekeeping was slack and this truly felt like a waste of money. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If the Residence Inn Manhattan Beach hadnt been under renovations, I would of stayed there. Choose wisely and dont disregard this review just because theres other good ones... I normally do that because I feel these reviews are just from disgruntled people with nothing better to do, but truly I just want to share this so others dont waste their money, get mistreated and have this bad experience.

I needed a very quiet place as I was there to take an exam and had to sleep very quietly. I got just what I was looking for and had one of quietest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. PARKING: Self Parking included at no extra charge. ROOMS: Modern, quiet and comfortable with kitchen that is equipped with everything you might need. BE AWARE of bringing water, as they provide bottled water for $2,50 each, so much better if you bring you own. Also, good quality amenities are provided. WI-FI: Included at no extra charge. AREA: Nothing interesting. This is just a hotel around the airport area, if visiting for longer I’d suggest to stay at a more central area or rent a car. COMMON AREAS: Very good with many things to do. Nice swimming pool with jacuzzi. LAUNDRY: I didn’t use it but I know it’s available. BREAKFAST: Included at no extra charge and they offer pretty good food. I had fruit and Brie cheese, scrambled eggs (did not see made to order available), sausages and ham, Greek yogurt and waffles that you can make yourself and add any toppings you wish. PLUS: Also, there are some daily activities every afternoon, which I find really interesting. OVERALL: If I need to stay near the airport, this will be my choice. First of all, the airport shuttle is very confusing. You have to call to request a ride, but dont jump in the shuttle with the big Residence Inn logo on the side. Thats for the other location near LAX (why they dont rename one of them is beyond me). Rather, theres an unmarked black van that will come pick you up. Other than that, the hotel was very nice. The subject is what I overwhelmingly felt like at this location. The room had an odor of a strong cleaning product which would not go away, the hallways were completely mired with uber-strong odor of marijuana, two of the washers in the guest laundry had out of service sheets on them, and the one that worked had no soap in the auto-dispenser (found out the hard way after putting in the $1.25 for the wash). Called the front desk and someone came up 15 minutes later to add it.When we went to use the pool, their was a small film crew interviewing someone who was seated right in front of the gate where the guests go in.Told the front desk and we were asked to give them 5-10 minutes to wrap up, since they were interviewing a former action-surfer guy who is now blind and a frequent guest at this hotel. Once we got to the pool, I jumped in to experience it since I came from the northeast and wanted to enjoy a heated pool in February, only to look up and see a sign that read if you have diarrhea do not go in the pool...ugh. Never used it again and left immediately.There are no safes in the room, but was told we have the option to use a security deposit box located in the front desk area. When I went to use it, the woman behind the counter (about 9:30am) did an ugh gesture, threw her key on the counter in disgust, to which I loudly asked her is there a problem, are we keeping you from something? After asking her she did a classic passive-aggressive move and behaved very politely, then pretending there was nothing wrong.Finally I left a belt in the room after I returned home, so I called three times to inquire to the lost and found, and despite having been told they would check with housekeeping, to date no one has returned my call.Parking is great, and the breakfast in the morning was very good and complete. Overall I would not stay here again, if they were just a bit more attentive and polite, I would. Perhaps it was just my luck. I was hoping to at least received a call regarding my lost item.

My company sends me here twice a year for two to three months each stay. The hotel is clean, but the desk management staff dont seem very well informed. My billing always seems to get screwed up and no one can answer my questions. Always deferring to the next shift or manager. The marijuana use in and around the hotel is out of control. Folks smoking pot outside at smoking stations in front of children. Hallways filled with pot smoke. Groups of questionable looking people huddling in corners behind the building to have makeshift pot get togethers. Being allergic to it makes this very tough to deal with. I call the front desk but really what can they do. The housekeeping staff is friendly and helpful in though there are some language issues to overcome on occasion. The furniture in the rooms is old and the couch is especially uncomfortable. The mattresses are new though. The WiFi is adequate with periodic issues but nothing unusual for a hotel.

We stayed a night in this hotel and had terrific experience. In the early morning around 4 AM, my wife and I were on the way to LAX airport by the hotel shuttle service. We were talking with the nice driver about LA and Tar Heels in NC. Suddenly my wife realized that she left her artificial teeth in the hotel room. When we asked the driver for suggestions, he very professionally asked us for the flight time and calculated whether we could still catch our flight around 5 AM. He decided to drive us back to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel, the front desk lady immediately issued a new room key for us to reenter the very room we stayed. We got her artificial teeth and catched the flight with no problem. We want to give our sincere thanks to them. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE STAY IN THIS GREAT HOTEL.

First, go into staying here because it is a Residence Inn, dont be expecting fancy, I sure didnt. What I didnt like, it really is right on top of all sorts of business complexes so if you arent there for that, you will feel like nothing is around. That is a bit of a stretch, if you have a car you can get to a lot of things. That said, the things you can get to quickly are not touristy, unless you count the 405, so keep that in mind. The set up, it is 2 buildings and it is CRAMPED. Parking is a royal pain and you will probably not be parking near your entrance if you come back later. Breakfast is available, but be reasonable, yeah, they probably are powdered eggs, but come on, what were you expecting? Grab a hard boiled egg, thats real.

I’m a titanium member. This is the worst Marriott residence inn I have ever stayed in. The living room sofa bed was dirty and it was painful. Not clean at all.

Not a good place to stay with active kids. They call you a few time to get them stopped from roming arrounf even within the room. Instead if they cloud ask if there are kids and ask if they would like have a ground floor. That would have a polite way.

Great hidden gem in large office building area. Convenient access to light rail across street. Easy walk to any number of restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies. Will definitely stay here again.

We got a 2 bedroom suite, it was wonderful, the pool and jacuzz were amazing! The breakfast had a wonderful selection as well! It was right next to a train station.

We moved out of the Airport Hilton into the Marriot Residence Inn. For about the same price we moved from a tiny room to a large suite of 3 large rooms, with a kitchenette. Its also close to LAX. Complimentary shopping. With a toddler and a newborn there was no comparison.

The hotel was nice for the fact my room had a full kitchen but the alarm had a wire that was chewed through by something so my alarm didnt go off in the morning and missed the beach yoga I was going to do.
