Very considerate, helpful, and accommodating. They are very focused on customer service and meeting/exceeding customer expectations. They are also very focused on doing their best to make sure their customers will have, as reasonably possible, safe cars to drive.We have been a customer of Renson for countless years, and they have always delivered.For example, Thursday night our Toyota all of a sudden started to have crazy symptoms that were problematic (loss of power steering, all sorts of warnings in the dash, etc.). Called Renson first thing Friday morning. They took our car in (even though they were already packed with other appointments), explained what the problem was, and repaired the car.....all in the same day so that we could have the use of the car on the weekend.Exemplary and dependable service......highly recommend Renson Automotive....

Its one thing to finally find a knowledgeable mechanic. Thats good. Thats important.But its another to find one thats trustworthy. Thats not only good, thats worth its weight in gold.Multiple time, the folks at Renson have told me I wouldnt do that repair now - its not necessary or You can hold off on that or We checked that, and its fine. They basically have turned down work because it wasnt necessary.This is in stark contrast to so many other shops and dealers, who seem to want to push you to repair things that arent even a problem.Anyway, these guys are great, do high quality work at a very, very fair price, and give you honest diagnostics. Theyre just great.

I always appreciate the guys at Renson Automotive. They’re honest and do great work. I recently had the timing belt, spark plugs, a leaky manifold, among other things repaired on my Range Rover and she drives better than ever! My car was out of the shop in a reasonable time and cost. Thanks guys!

I recently had an exceptional experience at Renson Automotive that truly went above and beyond. The staff (Nat) at this establishment displayed a genuine care and dedication towards resolving any problems with my car, treating it as if it were their own. The owner got involved and demonstrated remarkable expertise and attention to detail, ensuring that every issue was addressed effectively. Although the main issue with my backup camera persists, I’m still grateful for their commitment to customer satisfaction which was evident throughout the entire process, leaving me thoroughly impressed and grateful for their outstanding service. There seems to be some wiring issue in my car that makes it very difficult to pinpoint the cause of failure but the failure most likely occurred when the previous owner installed an anti theft tracking device so I can’t blame these guys.

I had been looking for a good quality and honest shop and think I found it. I dropped off my 2021 VW Atlas yesterday for routine maintenance. After a few hours, they called and found a vibration during test drive. I had not mentioned vibration as Capitol VW, where I bought new, could not replicate. Renson found it! It was a bent axle or shaft. Its out of warranty but plan to take notes to Capitol VW to see if they will pay to fix as they sold me a defective car. Renson was my third ship in three years. The last 2 were terrible. Thank you! Tony

Because I received this survey, Im obligated to respond to it. But I postponed the repair, and I cannot review the service at this time.So far so good.------------Real review:I had my car repaired and my experience with Renson was excellent.My car is running smoothly, and the staffs courtesy was also excellent. I mainly dealt with Nat, and he and other staff treated me with warm respect. This is a rather rare experience these days.I dont want another car repair, but if I need it, Ill come back here.

I discovered Renson Automative this year, and each time Ive had work done, its been a wonderful experience. Everyone there has been very kind, helpful, and communicative. They clearly explain exactly whats happening with my car, and what my options are. Even when I had an emergency, and needed to come by without an appointment, they fit me in and had it all fixed by the end of the day. They also have a very nice online system so I can track the work thats been done. I could not recommend this shop more highly, and Im grateful theyre within walking distance of my house.

Mike has been wonderful to work with. He’s super transparent and helpful. He took down the codes that I read from a check engine light from my 2015 Jeep JKU and he managed to confirm the codeThey were quick with the whole process of diagnosis, change of parts and testing. I cannot say enough good things about the Renson team. I have been loyally brining my cars here for about a decade. I refuse to trust any other mechanic with my automobiles - so much so that I drove from the East Bay just for an oil change! I really like the team at Renson Automotive. I dont feel like they are taking advantage of me; of my lack of knowledge of cars, and using it against me. They explain the problem to me and do everything that needs to be done at the moment and not everything that eventually has to be done (if that makes sense). They are honest, kind, friendly, and trustworthy. Ive been going to them for over four years. Probably longer, but Ill keep going to them unless I move away.

I cant give a higher recommendation. I came in with a pretty complicated set of issues with my cooling system and major oil leaks. The people at Renson were able to quickly identify problems that the dealer service center had either missed or ignored, and gave me a much more reasonable estimate.Mike, my service advisor was knowledgeable and had great communication with the mechanics. He was also friendly and happy answer all my questions. I never felt pressured into service I didnt need, and his recommendations were specific, reasonable, and he could show me the evidence for them.The work was done on time and the price was just under the estimate. It was my best experience with auto repair in a long time.

This is a great place to take your vehicle if it needs to be serviced. Ive been taking my car there for about a year and a half and Ive had no problems with them excellent mechanics. I just took my car for an oil change on Wednesday and Jose did an excellent job on my car. The front desk guys Nat Nakash and Mike Pruitt are very helpful, pleasant, and they know a lot about cars so if you have any questions you can ask those guys and they will help you and theyll be honest with you too. The waiting room is very clean and cozy and the atmosphere there is great.

I have been to two other shops and these guys are the best. When other shops made major mistakes to my Explorer that cost me thousands of dollars, Renson, throughly inspected my vehicle found the other companies mistakes and fixed them. I will not go anywhere else. They dont rush, they really want you to be a long term customer. They do what they say and have great execution.

A lit check engine light lead to a failing coil.Renson troubleshot the the issue to the #3 cylinder under the intake manifold. I requested that they change all the coils on that side due the manifold needing to be removed. Got the car back and it felt like it had more power on the way home but over the next couple of days the check engine light came back on. Renson took the car back, did their troubleshooting and found the #3 coil was defective and replaced it along with the injector for good measure. The Tribute runs good again and when we need to, we’ll visit Renson again!

Provided professional service replacing exhaust manifolds on my truck. they were very accurate on estimate. I had been experiencing brake issues with my 2008 CRV, which I have owned for five years. I had taken it to various reputable auto repair shops, including Honda, and they could not find the problem. There were other minor issues going on with the car, including a recent issue with the VSA lights going on intermittently. I received the best service ever at Renson Automotive. They were very thorough and found the problem with the brakes and took care of all of the error codes. I drove home with confidence that my vehicle was running at its ultimate best. I received great communication from Charles as to what was going on with the repairs. The shop was very clean. As a woman, I always feel a bit intimidated going into auto shops, knowing they could try to pull the wool over my eyes. I was well informed and charged fairly for the repairs and time spent on my vehicle. I have found my go to shop for my vehicle. I am very, very pleased.

I have been using Renson for over 25 years for regular service and repair for my cars. The first car they regularly serviced was a 1988 Plymouth Voyager. When I finally gave it away to a missionary, he had it inspected and said the engine ran very clean. It was in really good shape, over the years, I actually wished I had kept it. The latest project they worked on for me was a 1974 Mercedes 230 that I inherited. It was sitting in a garage for many years. After having it towed to them, they systematically went through all of the issues (and there were many of them) and were able to get the hard to find parts, often coming from Germany. They gladly accommodated my request to take pictures of the project as it went along. They test drove it many times to make sure it was safe. Bill even took me on a short test ride to let me know what to expect. It is a blast to drive, with the 70s engine sound. I was really please with the acceleration and braking for this car. Bill, his staff, and mechanics are always friendly, pleasant, and informative. I have highly recommended Renson to my friends for quality and trustworthy service.

(since my car was still under warranty) I was at Toyota hoping they could at least identify the problem with my fuel tank. With them turning me away because they would have to take my car overnight before they could even have someone take a look at it to see if they could do anything for me.I promptly called Renson. It about 4pm on a Thursday unable to get into my fuel tank and I was suppose to head out of town the next day. After trying to explain my situation over the phone, Bill said, get down here as fast as you can with all your spare keys and well take a look.Within minutes of pulling in Bill himself came out to take a look and identified the problem.He looked up the part he needed, it was in stock! He had it for me the next day before noon! I took my car back over, and without exaggerating I checked in, got the part installed, and paid in under 15 minutes!!They all did it with smiles, the office team knew exactly what I was there for when I walked in, there was no waiting around to be helped, in out and taken care of!My car was still under warranty which is why I went to Toyota dealer first. I have always had Renson work on my cars in the past and will continue to take this car there, and this is why- they are no B.S., they genuinely want to do what is right for you and your vehicle, and arent looking to charge you an arm and a leg for it either.THANK YOU RENSON TEAM!

I have a 1966 Ford Mustang, which had been garaged for 5 1/2 years before taking it into Renson. I have never used the term for auto repair, but I am ecstatic about saving my 2008 Azera after rats chewed the wiring, I ran it on 5 cylinders-contaminating the cat converter, and was considering scrapping it. I was a first-time customer. This was the best experience Ive ever had with an auto mechanic shop. They were able to get me on the schedule for a 120k service the very next day, they helped me arrange a car rental with the nearby Enterprise at a discounted rate, they charged a very reasonable price, they use text messages and sent me copies of the inspection report electronically (which I LOVED), they very honestly told me that I did not need the brake service that I suspected I might need, and they were very flexible with dealing with my schedule (which required dropping off the car the previous day). In particular, I found Charlie to be super friendly, knowledge, and very helpful. Thanks for a great experience and I will definitely be back.

Absolutely recommend Renson Automotive. Back story - my husband met Charlie Sept 2017 when he accompanied a friend taking a car in for a problem. Charlie did some research and found that the problem was a recall problem and told our friend to take the car back to the dealer. My husband and friend were impressed by Charlies professionalism and said if ever I need auto repair work this is absolutely the place I would come.Today it was my husbands truck (2021 - 4 years later) that he thought needed a brake replacement. Charlie called this afternoon and said the brakes were in great shape and definitely safe. The squeaking sound that was heard was due to accumulated dirt. Rensons cleaned up the problematic area and happy ending.Also, the young man at the front desk who greeted us was welcoming, professional and efficient. The complete experience was amazing.

I have an older vehicle, a 1997 Chevy cargo van. Ive always had trouble passing smog until 6 years ago when I started taking it to Renson automotive. Since I started going to Renson’s Automotive in summer of 2019, they have been exceptional. The value is in being treated with integrity, honesty and quality workmanship. They don’t pressure you to do more than you ask, but they do point out things that should be tended to for safety. I’ve asked twice for a brake inspection, expecting an advisory for replacement. Both times, they said the brakes are fine. I like great news like that.

I am very grateful to have found this shop. I wanted to get my low mileage 10 year old Honda fully inspected. Robert was patient with my list of questions on our initial call. It was clear he was a good guy.Charlie (who has many years in the industry, especially Honda’s) helped me figure out what to do and what not to do. They inspected more things than I imagined and refunded some estimated time. After this experience, I brought the car back for alignment, glass seal repair and small dent removal. They had everything done on site so it was one stop for me. It feels great to just have a mechanic that you trust that does good work.Bill has the right recipe. I brought my 2013 for c-max in for a wheel bearing replacement. I was originally quoted 2 hours to diagnose the problem. When i went to pay my bill, they had noted that they did not use the full time quoted, and they deducted that from my bill. I was very happy with my first interaction here. Had timing belt and other work done a few months ago. I don’t drive very often because I’m out of town for work a lot and I work from home when I’m in town. The check engine light came on and started running rough a couple months after the service. I took it in and it was low on oil. They filled it up which fixed the problem. Weve been customers of Rensons for 15 years. We found them after several issues with other repair shops stripping the oil plug, bolts and just not fixing the issue or finding issues that would cost us 10xs more to fix. In 15 years we have never had to take our car back to fix something they fixed the first time. Pretty bad place I have to say. As a mechanic I wanted to see what services they provide just to get an idea on how they scam people. First they charge you for a check up, A CHECK UP, which should definitely not be charge. That’s the first scam there. Second they make sure they break something first that is easily repairable but will overcharge you for labor and parts. Lastly they’ll recommend you to fix something else that is completely fine. Whatever it is, I’d suggest you check it yourself before deciding if you want them to flush any fluids out.

I was new to the area and needed a mechanic near my home. An internet search gave Renson. My TBird had sprong a leak and all of the radiator fluid had dumped on the ground in 5 minutes or less. Renson calls me and tells me they know what the problem is but it was part of a factory recall. Take it to ford and they will fix it for free. Or he could fix it for about $350. I paid the $50 diagnostic fee and had Ford fix it by I was Renson customer ever since.
