I contacted the company to have my air conditioner checked, and a technician arrived at my doorstep. Upon inspecting my AC, the technician charged me $100 for an estimate but did not provide a receipt for the payment. He only accepted cash and left within five minutes.Fortunately, I decided to seek a second opinion from another company. They identified the issue with my air conditioner and I was relieved to learn that I did not need to spend $16,000 on a new unit, as suggested by Reliable Appliances Service INC. It is important to be cautious and consider alternative options when dealing with this company.

This company came out in an emergency to my residence on Thursday June 27 to check my AC conditioner which wasn’t working. The technician was here less than 30 minutes and only checked 2 connections before telling me based on the numbers seen, I would need to replace my compressor or the entire unit at a cost of $3300-$6000! I contacted my Home Warranty Company and they sent someone out 5 days later. The technician said I only needed Freon after checking everything and that this company was trying to take my money! My 84 year old mom who has COPD and I suffered through the agonizing heat because of the lousy service from Reliance and had to pay them $99.95. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

1 star due to them being a RIP off company. Bob came in an quoted us a job for over $700 claiming we need 3 things replaced for a/c to work. Of course a day 103 degrees outside. The day before fathers day. I then called around PRICE CHECKING THOSE EXACT PIECES. Found out mostly if 1 Is REPLACED the others most likely wouldnt need to be. PRICES around hemet RANGED $200-300 LESS THAN WHAT HE QUOTED.I have time unlike my spouse who took over situation from jump. He was Over stimulated and just fed up because of the initial 100 diagnostics fee he went with BOB ANYWAY the next day . HE (bob) ENDED UP CHARCHING $475 FOR the starter (Dual Capacitor Only) took him literally 2 seconds because my spouse had already removed the old one looking online for replacements. (that range from $15-80) receipt # 636164 CASH) it took him longer just to see if the air was cold being pushed out.

Ripped me off. Did not help at all. Technician only spent 5 minutes checking out my refrigerator and determined I should simply buy another one.I had a family friend come by and they repaired my refrigerator for half the price and were more thorough.

Our experience with this company was most definitely bad.My wife made an appointment in December with what she thought was the authorized Viking Repair in Pleasant Hill to have someone come out and repair our Viking under counter fridge, which was freezing up. Instead, Danny from Reliable Repair showed up at the appointed time.He concluded that the fridge needed a new thermostat, condenser and Freon injection, even though we had previously replaced these same parts and it did not resolve the problem. My wife was thus doubtful, and even showed him the paperwork from the prior repairs. He gave her a verbal estimate of the repairs, which were substantial enough that replacement seemed a better option. He said he might be able to use Perlick parts instead, which he said would be less expensive. He said he would check, then call back the next day to give a revised repair estimate.A week later and she still had not heard back from him, so called the Reliable office. The person answering the phone said they would get a message to him to call back.Again, she heard nothing back. So, once again, called Reliable to complain. The person answering the phone said she would refer the matter to a supervisor named Nathan, who would call her back withing three hours. And once again, she waited, but heard nothing back. As any reasonable person would, at that point she assumed they didnt want to bother with the repair. So, since we hadnt gotten anything from Reliable other than a huge waste of time, she stopped payment on the $99.95 check and contacted Viking to ask for an authorized repair company. That service person arrived, checked the fridge, and said the real problem was a leaking evaporator--a much costlier repair--and not the thermostat/condenser.We were advised to instead buy a new fridge which we did. It was installed a few days later.Astonishingly, Danny finally called in mid-January--after our new fridge had been installed--to say he had ordered the parts. This was absurd since he had never called back to provide a revised repair estimate--which she would have needed to approve--or returned any of her calls. The final absurdity is, after misdiagnosing the problem, refusing to return numerous calls or provide the promised updated repair estimate, we received a letter yesterday from Reliable, threatening to turn us over to a third party collection agency, and to the District Attorneys office for potential criminal prosecution if we did not pay the $99.95 plus a $30 service charge. We will, of course, refer the matter to our attorney if that happens. However, I would advise others to heed the other unfavorable reviews here and avoid doing business with this company. They give new meaning to unreliable service.ADD: To the point made by the owner below, this is not correct. We received no voice mails or return phone calls from your company regarding delays or anything else. That, in fact, was the problem.Additionally, we have responded to Peter York’s letter via email. We stand by everything we said above.

This is my first ever review of any company. Ever. This was by far and away, the most god awful experience I have ever had with a company. They came out to service our Wine Refrigerator and said it would be about a week to get the part and come back to repair. After not hearing a word, we called. And called. And called. And called. Continuously asking for an Update. That Update never came until we called for about the 20th time and they said they couldn’t get the part. We lost a month and are now calling incessantly to get the name of the part so we can at least attempt to get this resolved ourselves. Still haven’t gotten that information. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY A DIME OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. They are unethical, unprofessional and should be shut down!!In response to the “Owner” - first of all, don’t imply that I’m lying because that was 1,000% my experience. Take accountability. Period. Also, I just put in my THIRD YES THIRD CALL TODAY asking for the name of the part I was promised I would receive (after one month of waiting I finally learned you couldn’t help) so I could take this situation to a RELIABLE repair service.

I called to have the door seal changed on my refridgerator and Chris came and never mentioned the door seal but tried to say the fan was noisy and coil was dirty the reason the seal was bad and wanted 395 dollars to repair it. When I asked about the seal he said 150 for the seal but the warehouse was out of the but when I called them for appoinment was told they carried them on the truck.

Very prompt response, easy to set up appointment and honest evaluation of the situation. Highly recommend and will use again for any appliance repair I may need.

I was quoted 99.95 to replace the glass on my oven. After the tech was 30 min late for the 3hr window, I was told 99.95 was for the visit and would be applied to the total with parts and labor. After that, I was told they could not find the parts and then left with no repair. This could have easily been done over the phone, but felt like I was scammed just to charge 99.95 for a visit.

Charged us $103 to tell us there was nothing he could do to fix our washing machine that had a locked door. Told us to pry it open ourselves and left. We got the door open after he left and paid $20 on Amazon to get a new door locking mechanism. This man did not attempt to open the door, order the new part for us, nothing. When we asked why we were being charged 100 bucks for this he said because he had to drive over here.
