I feel like I can finally share my story of my 2 experiences here that were very traumatic for me, considering this was my first experience with pregnancy, labor/delivery/birth. I know many people have had it way harder than me but I want to share my story because I feel like I can now.My first visit was in July 2018, at the ED. I had just got back from vacation and I had found out I was pregnant with our first, right before my trip. I had a really bad UTI and come to find out a cyst on my ovary. I was worried about my little one inside me and what was going on with the pain. I was first told by the PA that I had an ectopic pregnancy, then I was told that I had a twin stuck. Me and my husband were crying so much. Then she comes back in the room and says oh its just a cyst and this is normal. Why couldnt she have kept all of the worst possible scenarios to herself until she knew exactly what was going on? It loses patient trust, in my opinion, and is bad bedside manner to just blab your mouth. My second experience was when I was admitted to the hospital to give birth to my first baby as well. I had came in the day before thinking that I was ready to give birth but was told I was only 1.5 cm. I was given a urine cup with no label on it, I voided in the cup, left my triage room and walked around with my husband to get the labor going. I was told to come back until I am about 4-5 cm dilated. I came back the next day and I was able to get admitted. They started the epidural process, my husband was told to leave the room per protocol, as soon as the anesthesiologist placed it in my back the nurse said I tested positive for opiates in my urine yesterday and asked what I was taking. I was completely in shock, humiliated, and angry that she told me during the procedure when something could have happened; I could have moved and flinched. I was treated like dirt. I have never taken street drugs or even prescription pain medications in my life (except for Tylenol and Ibuprofen). I have never even smoked weed, ever. I have never even tried a cigarette, ever. I rarely take Tylenol because I am scared of hurting my liver; I would rather suffer through a headache. My urine sample was negative that day of course, only the day prior it was positive. My urine was dark, signs of dehydration. The only meal I had within 48 hours was a bison burger with poppy seeds on it from Eureka burger. (I had forgot that I had poppy seeds). But I was telling the nurse that my urine cup was not labeled when I left my room the day before to walk and someone from another triage room could have switched it? Anyways, I had a beautiful and healthy baby girl 8 lb 4 oz. They called the NICU team of course when I delivered her and right to checking her to make sure she was not a drug baby. I was so scared that something happened to her. They did not tell me why they did that, but then I realized why. They placed a bag over my babys vagina in her diaper, did not telling either. My husband went to change her meconium poop, the bag got poop on it and no urine so we through it away, not realizing until after what the bag was for. Then the nurse treated us weirdly because we threw the bag away. Then with the new bag, we did not touch, they got their sample and of course my baby was fine. I had a social worker come in and talk to me, like I was a druggy. The anesthesiologist came back the next day, asked how I was and I said my back hurts and he said what did you expect, I put a needle in your back; I was treated like dirt yet again. Also, they gave my baby a bath at midnight, no sleep for me.My next two babies were born at home with a licensed midwife. I was pampered before, during, and after. Best decisions of my life! I researched delivery at home and the freedom you have, not pushing on your back, being treated like an animal with no gravity to help the baby down. Not bugged every hour or two, etc. Is this how people that are on drugs treated? I am an RN and I would never, ever treated my patients in this manner, regardless of whether or not they are on drugs.

Walked into the emergency room with dizziness and a high a1c they really took care of me everything went very smoothly and fast. Every doctor, nurse, front desk and techs that I came in contact with were wonderful. It makes the visit much better when you feel like they actually care about you. you go in urgent cares, doctors offices and hospitals sick, (you certainly shouldnt have to worry about doctors, nurses and staff being inpatient and rude) I hope I dont have to go back to a emergency room but if I need too I will definitely go to redlands hospital emergency

The Emergency Room was empty, we came in for treatment and were helped quickly. Once in the back waiting room, we waited for an hour for vitals and blood work. While the staff at the front desk rambled on about patients, work shift schedules and retirement. All while we waited to be seen, spoken too and assisted. The charge nurse running the back waiting area was abrupt and rude. No bedside manner which is not uncommon these days but I did not expect this from a Redlands community hospital.A handful of doctors were helpful but the nurses were less than personable and we seemed like an inconvenience for them.Caring for a loved one is stressful, I am sure we all can agree. Having to wait for an extended amount of time to receive care while listening to the staff enjoy themselves and speaking about personal and private information amongst each other is a lack of professionalism. After 4-5 hours at the hospital ER. With little to no patients waiting to be attended. We were discharged. I hope your experience will not be similar to ours. I really expected more from my hometown community hospital.Take care and be well.

I have always had good care at Redlands communith in the ER and my 2 stays in the hospital. Two days ago I was bouncing off the walls and dry heaving. 911 had do take me to the ER. They did a cat scan took the blood work. I told them I have had cronic ear infections all my life. I had no symptoms of infection that I could tell. After meds in the IV i was not spinning and they sent me home. The doctor came in and went to get her scope and came back and said it would not work in my rooom . The doctor never looked in my ears. I was a mess and stayed quiet until today when I went to urgent care to be told my ear was white with puss and my ear drum bulging. I have had so man bad doctors through the years. The doctor did not do her job but did a catscan. I was thinking something in the brain by the symptoms. I should have been taken to a room or place so she could look in my ears. No antibiotics which I got 2 days late. Very little communication or questions. It is a good hospital and I do get good care but this doctor had her girdle on to tight. LOL

I went into the ER because I had an infection. The RN Mary (was the name on her name tag) Maria was the name she gave me working on Wednesday May 1st @9:50 was very rude and disrespectful when I told her I got surgery (a month ago) in Mexico. She replied with “well yeah of course you’re going to have an infection you went over there that’s a disgusting place” and made an ugly face. I was shocked I didn’t know what to reply to that. When I told her what surgeries I got done she said “well what is that I don’t know what that is” and I explained it to her… she’s an RN.. isn’t she supposed to know medical terminology? I then proceeded to tell her that I’m just going to leave that her attitude wasn’t okay that she shouldn’t have to feel disgusted because of where I got my surgery at and that I was going to urgent care instead and she replied with “they’re just going to send you over here they won’t be able to do anything for you.” And laughed at me with her coworker as I walked away. An RN is someone who is supposed to make someone feel comfortable and safe when seeking medical help no matter what they are going in for. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day but no one should ever bring that attitude and negative energy into work especially when you hold such a huge tittle. It should be a privilege to work in that field. Never have I ever had such a terrible experience & felt judged by an RN before until now.

I am writing this review to give recognition and express gratitude to the ER staff of Redlands community hospital. I have met some of the best nurses and staff during my bloodwork, very approachable and compassionate. They explain well and keep you updated on the procedures. The nurse practitioner is exceptional.

I just want to express how my family and I were treated First we met with Brandi from Hospice we expressed to us that our family would be accommodated we would have a bigger room. Going forward we didn’t get a bigger Room till Friday night a few hours before our loved one passed the night nurses who run Friday night shift were giving us a hard time that we all couldn’t be in the room witch is very disappointing.. nights before that the same night shift crew from Friday shift 3/22 when we came in at 730 pm to see my cousin they were standing at his door look at him while he had a wash cloth over his eyes why didn’t they take the wash cloth off his covered eyes. My thing is if a hospice person or whoever controls what needs to communicate with both nights and days shift for family to get accommodated. Also I wanted to thank you Makayla our night Nurse who explained everything to my aunt and our family kudos to her.

THIS PLACE IS WORSE THAN A HORROR MOVIE. A stranger on the street would have helped me more than this hospital did!!I had been violently assaulted by two unknown thugs in a local park, barely escaping with my life. With blood jutting out of me like a fountain, I called 911. Then came the second and perhaps worse attack on me by way of this twisted hospital. From the moment their ambulance showed up, I was yelled at, demeaned, bullied, and ridiculed by their staff. Still in shock, I remained nothing but polite.Long story short, I was at the hospital for twelve hours and not once did they wipe the blood from my face, offer me pain medication, or care for me in any meaningful way.Mind you, I find out much later that I had a dislocated jaw, a perforated eardrum, a hemorrhaged eyeball, a concussion, major neck injuries, and multiple skull fractures not to mention open lacerations all over my head and face. Looking back, it was a miracle I survived. After being admitted, I was left alone untreated for hours sitting in a hard chair in some administration room in the back - not even offered a bed. No one really checked on me, despite my constant crying and loud moaning from the pain.If I did find a staff member and politely ask them what was going on, they berated me and ordered me to sit down and shut up. The ER doctor was the only person with even a sliver of compassion and professionalism and I was able to get an MRI from her. But even after the results, I was still left alone in that awful bright room bleeding and crying. Wasnt even offered water or a tissue until I insisted I needed one so I didnt bleed all over their chair.I know that ER staff need to disassociate in order to deal with what they see, but this staffs behavior bordered on outright cruelty and medical malpractice.Im not sure what was more traumatic – the attack itself or the experience with this sadistic staff. At literally the most vulnerable moments in my entire life, I felt like I was kicked in the gut by the lack of medical attention and cruel indifference from these disgusting people. And judging by the other reviews, Im not the only one. Class action lawsuit, anyone...?

Everyone was friendly. I delivered my 4th child here. I appreciated the care in check in, birth and after care. I really appreciated after birth the room service broughty food and it was hot. After giving birth I super appreciated a hot meal. The only reason I gave this hospital 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the TV in my room. It would like glitch and turn red and act like a scratched DVD or something. But everyone was kind and the care was professional.n
