Ive been here 3 times. And spent a total of 2 hours in the waiting room. And less than 30 minutes with a vet. They have their own system that does not work with pet meds online. And is 2x as expensive. Very unprofessional to schedule back to back people when they cant make appointments within a 30 Minute time window

Doesnt matter if I bring a cat or dog, the staff is AWESOME. The female vet is not. Mean girl mentally and selective who she is professional to kind towards. Set up appointments with staff, she comes in and changes things and blames the staff for her not wanting to tend the pet. I will not go back and I will recommend people go anywhere but to her. Over done with being kind, polite and respectful towards her just to have myself and pets treated as less than.Found out she has a bad reputation for being rude,wrong in diagnosing, refuses to admit mistakes or correct them, a bad temper and mistreatment of pets in her care when owners are not there.

The finest vet clinic you will find. Caring, knowledgeable, and friendly, our animals love them. My dogs, all 4, actually wag their tails when taken to them. Also, they keep their appointment times, no waiting an hour and their fees are very reasonable. Take my word for it, you wont find a better vet or vet clinic.

On Sir Tippie just had this surgery done... Love that this Staff @Red Bluff Vets all are great and this staff and Drs. truly care about your furbabies and what your concerns are - trust is key... Cannot say enough...This office is sterller! Its been over 6 months now and.Sir Tippie to date is awesome and has been doing great after surgery... A happy boy!

This is my local vet I go to for my French Bulldog. They are a kind, well mannered, and professional establishment that make me leave feeling knowledgeable and my Frenchy feeling better. They always make appointments easy to get and whenever my Frenchy needs something there quick to help out. I highly recommend if your looking for an outstanding vet that has your pets best interests at mind.

Ok, so I m giving them 5 stars based on just a couple of visits recently.I went to 2 other vets in our area, 1 in Red Bluff, 1 in Chico to get an estimate on a dental cleaning for our 9 lb. dog.The staff and the Dr.s were nice and all, but we were stunned by the estimates we got for the cleaning and likely extractions. I decided to try one more place all along praying they wouldnt want my first born as payment. (Slight exaggeration) Imagine my pleasure and joy when their estimate came way under the other 2! By a couple hundred dollars! Aaaand...the actual cost was pretty close to what the doc estimated it would be. Still $150 under the other 2 vets low end estimate, and about $400 under the high end which they were leaning towards. Makes me wonder why the others charge so much more for the same thing! 🤨 Anyway, our little girl is doing great, thanks Dr. Jon & staff!

Have taken our animals here for years, usually with good luck, however not lately. Our cat was misdiagnosed multiple times… I then started researching the sores in his mouth myself and last weekend started treating him myself with significant improvement. He was eating, active, and the sores were healing and about half the size. Took him in yesterday for a follow-up and now regret doing so. They insisted we vaccinate him at the visit, and being medical professionals we questioned it. He wasn’t completely over this illness that has been ongoing for over a month, but they assured us he would be fine. By this morning he felt hot, lethargic, wouldn’t eat, and couldn’t stand. I called them twice today telling them something wasn’t right. They assured me this was a normal reaction after a vaccination. I should have trusted my gut. He died this evening… and we are all heart broken. The rest of my animals will not be returning.

Ive only been to this clinic once and under very, very sad circumstances. I recently had to put my best friend of 15 years down. They were so kind and considerate of what I was going through and sent a condolences card to our home shortly after our visit signed by every staff member. They truly care and in my old ladys time of need I know she felt no pain on her way to doggy heaven because how gentle they were with her.

I have been going to Red Bluff bet for years with my mother. We are there often with rescues and our own animals. We are ALWAYS treated with care and compassion, good advice and great animal handling. My dog loves seeing Kaylee(s) both! Especially Kaylee who works in back, she loves giving her kisses for all the help she does. John S. Is the best vet we have had. He fits us in on emergency visits, he makes sure our bills are fair and our animals are treated with love and respect. I cannot express the much appreciation I have for this staff and all that they do. Every question is answered and I’m always taken care of. Best vet hands down! they are alll great staff.

Oh for the love of our pets why do vets have to be so expensive.....While the vet was extremely nice and the front staff obviously doing her best with the situations at hand, I just wish there was a billing option or payment plan other than Care credit or having to pay ALL the bill at time of service.However, my pet is on the mend and doing better. Just say a great thanks to Dr John, my dog has a total break out of his itchy skin, Dr. John give my dog a shot and one antibiotics yesterday, over the night, I fed him twice, one in the afternoon, one in midnight, this morning I check my dog, his scar scaling skin mostly got flat, smooth, scaling still there, but no layers like previously !! This is fast, and no this test or that test, Dr. John is very experienced. Thank you

Im not too sure about this vet. He gave me suitable advice for my cat, but in all of the 40 + years Ive been taking my cats to various vets, none have said to them, Youre a terrible cat. I laughed the first time he said it. But, he repeated this abusive remark several times during my cats exam. I know that animals are able to understand humans. My cat and I both picked up the vets negativity. I suggest the vet becomes acutely aware of what hes saying and thinking, if he would like to improve upon his service.

I have to say this vet is amazing 👏🙌. He really cares and so is the lady vet. Also it didnt take forever to get in and be seen. He has done my dogs eye lid surgery and is going to be doing another surgery on my other dog. I am very pleased with this vet and will continue coming here. Btw I use to come here years ago and still as great then as it is now.

Both my cats were in lots of pain after their spays. The recovery was rough, but they’re good now. They don’t accept the Pets spay and neuter Vouchers anymore, which really sucks. When your profits are more important than your community, that’s where you lose my respect.

I took my dog in to establish care since the Camp Fite and was disappointed in the care my dog received here. The receptionist did not smile and barely looked at me. She was polite in her words but her tone was lacking the customer assistance vibe like what I had to say was not important and she was tolerating me because she had to. Maybe she was having a bad day. When it was my dogs turn to be seen, the Vet met me in the lobby, looked at my dog, and told me theres nothing to do unless I want to cut it off. My dog had a cyst on his back. The vet did not examine my dog at all. He did not check his vitals, his eyes, ears, dentin, or coat. Instead he pressed his finger to the top of the cyst and jiggled it. They charged me a lot of money to jiggle a cyst. I have not returned and went back to my regular vet.

Great spay and neuter program provided through P.E.T.S. in Red Bluff. I can honestly say that the employees (front desk) were quick and efficient. The best part is when the Veterinarian came to our room and you could see passion and genuine care in her. She wasnt rushed and spent plenty of time answering questions and explaining the diagnosis, our treatment plan, and the steps to ensure a healthy thorough recovery.If that wasnt enough, they followed up with us in the days passing. Its the little things that we(I) can easily take forgranted ...We were even there on a slight discount and got treated just the way full paying customers are.

They are pretty cool. Only bad experiences I have had there is a receptionist not being friendly but mean just monotone. This last time I had to wait get my pet for no real reason. Went to pick him up,be paid all the fees and just waited for them to grab them out of the back. So I waited snd waited while reception took new people in and then a friend came with baby in tow and they talked and talked. Till one of them remembered I am sitting there and they finally get my cat.I will still highly recommend this place good doctors and friendly staff.

I tried calling on Sunday because my dogs were stung multiple times and I was afraid they were allergic to wasp stings. When I called their office all I got was a static filled recording that was not understood. I held held held but no one answered. Pathetic communications. If you own this clinic take some iniative please. This is totally unacceptable.

RB Vet and staff are terrific. Our black lab was sick and Dr. Jon was scheduled to go on vacation. He personally called me from Utah to see how she was doing. He decided our lab needed immediate surgery and had us take her to see the vet filling in, who was great. The surgery went well and Dr. Jon and Kalie called me to keep me in the loop. They allowed me to come visit our dog before the end of the night. The following morning, our lab was doing 100% better and Emily and Kalie called me to let me know how she was soooo much better. This is just one example of their staff. I have always had luck getting appointments quickly and following the over-the-counter advice before bringing in a pet and being charged for what might have been nothing. In addition, our lab is on a special diet food and Kayley (front desk) is very helpful at keeping us in stock during the Covid delivery issues. I can’t recommend RB Vet enough.

My poor elderly mother was taken advantage of by this business when she took her little dog in this morning and the simple visit cost her 300 bucks and was never told of the outcome of the suppose exrays that were taken. She was treated with disrespect and the clinic was very dirty unsanitary and definitely was not up the starderds with the covid-19 in full effect. Went in because my dog was losing weight and I didn’t know why and they didn’t do anything about it, they also insisted he was a Jack Russell when they saw him and changed his paperwork from what I told them to Jack Russell simply because he looked similar to one, even though I told them he was not one, I’ve literally gotten him a DNA test, not to mention I know what his parents are. Like, I’m pretty sure I know what breed MY dog is. then they basically made fun of him for being a mutt which isn’t a big deal but still unprofessional.

Have been going since Dr. Sutfin opened the doors and before when he was at another clinic.My Yellow Labrador Dutchess had been his patient since she was about 6 weeks old as well as our Glaring of cats.This was a bad time for me as my baby girl Dutchess who was my constant companion and slept on my bed every night for over ten years did not make it through a emergency surgery.I only write this to let you know how much Dr Sutfin and Dr. Merhoff (I hope I spelled correctly) care about their patients.They have an extreme amount of compassion.My Dutchess loved Dr. John Sutfin and everyone she knew and she let you know it.Dr. John knew that for me it was like losing a daughter, best friend, and loving companion for me.He did his best to console me. Which is difficult when you are in shock.I did get to hold her and let her know how much I loved her as she passed on. (12/19/18).They also take care of final arrangements for you if you need them, as I did.Unless you truly love animals this means nothing to you. I am sorry for you because my Dutchess was my family and I would not have taken her anywhere else in the world.If you have pets in your life it is your responsibility to care for them as your children.The love from a pet is a bond that cannot be broken.If you care about them as I do this is the only place I would recommend.Thank you for allowing me to give MY honest opinion.

I work with an animal control agency and found a dog with one of their rabies tags on him and called hoping to get some owner information. The woman who answered the phone was very rude and very unprofessional! If I was a new client looking for a vet, based on her answering the phone, I would not use this clinic. Need to either train her to be professional and courteous or get a new receptionist.

I came in from city my mom was at UCFS my puppy got puppy puppy strangles.I took her to vet in city 115$ ! However they didnt help much by the time I got back to Redbluff. I have been a client of both Jon and his Dad and have NEVER had a bad experience. 4 dogs, three cats, 4 horses...I have never been disappointed. I found them and followed them when I first moved here about 17 years ago and called around to check prices for floating my horses teeth. They werent out to gouge me, they told me, after tranqing my horse, Let me look in their mouth before we do this b/c this guy couldve gone a while without floating. He has minor points so Ill drill them down anyway but in the future, lets look first. They always shove my head in my horses mouth to show me what needs to be done so I can see that its done for a reason.Their prices are far better than others I compared to. Ive even sent in a pic of an injury and, perhaps being a client for so long with a history of caring for my animals, simply walked in and picked up SMZs and avoided an office visit. A horse down the street colicked and it was over Thanksgiving so my neighbor brought the horse to me to watch her. Because Im freaky nervous on preventative medicine, hence having teeth looked at every other year, I asked for banamine if mine ever colicked in the future and they had it at the counter for me to pick up.FULL five stars, with not a single negative thing to say. Had enough hacks up here when I first moved up here and a misdiagnosis on Cushings when it was selenium deficiency. Art Sutfin caught that one based simply on lab results. In a week, my fuzzy boy looked like a halter horse. Sutfins, all the way.

I use to think this was the best veterinary clinic that money could buy but last night my beloved cat was mauled by a dog and I was turned away and told to go to Redding or Chico. Well my cat needed immediate care and did not survive the trip to Redding and I blame Red Bluff Veterinary Clinic for advertising after hours emergency care to their patients and then not following through with their promise. So if you plan on using this veterinarian for your pets, dont count on them being there after hours if you have an emergency. You may want to find a veterinarian who cares enough to be there whenever you may need them not just to get a paycheck.

Id leave no stars if I could. They are handling this virus situation as a cop out. Not allowing people in with their pets, then you look in and see them walking around inside the building without masks on. Ridiculous and hypocritical.
