MODERN AND BEAUTIFUL! My, am I a sucker for libraries, especially ones that have an observatory! It warms my soul to see the wonderful opportunities this library provides for children to explore the stars and enjoy wonderful books. The Rancho Mirage Library is quite big with dedicated sections for kids, teens, and adults. The library even has a CAFE! Yes, they serve warm coffee and yummy treats for a cozy reading session. I had the pleasure of visiting the library today as Im a freelance writer and they had EXCELLENT WiFi and spaces for online work. Theres plenty of comfy seats with cushions that make you melt into them. I felt totally zen and relaxed. I even had access to an outlet to plug my laptop! The library has clean restrooms, an outdoor courtyard, large category based sections of books, movies and large print works and a wonderful book nook. Also, theres a trendy art display that really sets the fun ambiance. The staff at the check-out desk were really polite and helpful! Ill definitely recommend this library! All people of all ages will enjoy this spot. I noticed they have great programs for kids! Note, since kids love this library Id steer clear from the childrens area as they get loud. Therefore, if theres a table near the area I wouldnt recommend sitting there. The good thing is theres plenty of other places to sit! What are you waiting for? Come for a visit!

My favorite library but it doesnt have that big of selection of books, because its not very big. However the observatory next door is one of a kind. They have state of the are brand new star gazing equipment and we are lucky to have one of these in the valley. Absolutely incredible experience that everyone should try! They even have an astronomer on site you can ask questions to! They have a separate side for children, so makes.for a perfect fun-filled family outting.

Nice Library, very clean Spacious comfortable area s to read or study..Courtyards as well. The only thing I found unfair, is that only 2 people are allowed to use the conference rooms..Not 1 individual is allowed..So,I couldnt do my conference call privately and after all that,I went to my car in this heat...But, everyone pretty friendly to help u..Computer room nicely organized, but no fax so Had to go to staples for that one...But, its all good...If they can get a fax in there that would be Great! 😃 And,the little cafe is yummy but expensive with Inflation on top of us things can get a little tighter...Oh, and the lectures are fun as well famous writers are a nice surprise...

After living for more than 2 years in the Valley I wonder why it took me so long to get the observatory tour. It was simply fascinating.Truly an immersive experience inside the dome.Highly recommended if you’re into astronomy or a science geek.Tours are available on Tue, Wed & Thu at 3 pm.#ranchomirageobservatory#observatory

Probably the best library in the desert (I haven’t been to La Quinta). The best library I’ve ever studied in. Perfect lighting with huge picturesque windows. A quiet study room if you want more silence. Group study rooms that are well insulated. There is a small gated courtyard in the middle of the library if you need some fresh air. What more can a girl ask for?

A great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Theres plenty of free parking the tour is from 3:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon Monday through Friday and its free. We also got to see a 5-minute movie that was shown on the Dome where the big telescope is. Ill have to come back some Thursday night so I can look out of the telescope. Thats next on my list. Im from out of town this was just a short visit today and its something Ive been wanting to do is take the tour.

This was a great library to find! There are many libraries around to choose from however we found this one the best so far! We are homeschooling our kids and the Wifi here is super fast and they have a couple of study rooms you can use-book 2 hour windows.Everything was very clean (including the bathrooms) and appeared organized. Staff was super friendly and happy to help - lots of staff around if you have any questions. The displays within the library were neat to look at (lots of different gem stones etc.

We arrived just after 6 PM and were met by several very friendly volunteer hosts. 4 telescopes set up for the evening night sky viewing. Able to see Andromeda cluster, Saturn and Jupiter. Great for families and budding scientists. Well worth the trip. No cost for viewing.

This is a very clean and tiday Public Library. The selection is good, if not exceptional. One star has been removed from a top rating because this is the noisiest Public Library I have yet to enter. Most of the noise comes from the voices of the employees.

First time visit. What a cool place! Very spacious. Easy to find a small alcove to read. Seems to have many events for kids during the summer. Kids area is large and very friendly attendant. Has late fees for all of its resources.
