This location is permanently closed. They lost their lease in 2023 and the roof caved in. Not sure why its still on Google Maps. Theres still a Raleys down by the Y but the closest grocery stores are now Whole Foods and Safeway. Theres also Tahoe Toms which has junk food and some basics.Ive tried to edit the listing but the edits seem to go into a black hole. Attaching screenshot of photo showing the sign is gone and some info.

This supermarket is in Lake Tahoe. If I hadnt gone in, I wouldnt have known they had a supermarket near our hotel. The place is super neat and had an assortment of things. From fruits and vegetables, to ready made food, to wines and liquors, to toys and gifts. It is awesome to know there is a great place to shop nearby.

Love this place, very good grocery store that values sustainability and their employees. I come here occasionally to get a sandwich from their deli or a few odds and ends snackies. They have a great variety of organic and fresh produce, lots of great meat, and a good variety of household goods as well. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathrooms here are pretty consistently gross.

This grocery store is conveniently right next to Heavenly ski resort and if you’re needing to save a bit of money stop here and load up. We did this for all our morning meals but if you really needed you could make all your meals. Things were running out on late Sunday night. For its location I kind of expected it to be bit nicer.

On the good side, they have a nice selection of healthy flowers and plants. See pic. They have double the number of probiotic/herbal remedies (see pic) and quite a bit in the liquor department. On the “bad” side, prices are very high (I know, it’s Taho, it’s Calli). Checkout lines are long, and customers struggle with the self checkout machines.

Stopped in at the butcher and this guy is awesome!!! Tim the Butcher helped me decide on that bacon to get and his cuts of meat looked great. If you are up in the area this is the place to get your groceries.

Plenty of parking. Everything well stocked. I do not think forcing people to enter and exit one door helps with social distancing. A designated entrance and exit would be better. Checkout could be better marked for COVID. Plus 10 points for the cashier sanitizing the checkout stand every couple of guests.

There is no Raleys near my home in San Rafael CA and I have been to one before where there is nothing too impressive. Momentarily, this one was a hero. Within is a Wells Fargo branch that I came to in order to change a $10 bill for a roll of quarters. The bank was closed due to weather damage, but an employee (guessing to be part of the management) took care of tbe exchange for me with a cash register. I went to the laundromat stress-free. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

For many, many years we have loved coming to Raley’s when we visit Tahoe. It is convenient, has everything we need at good prices and great employees. After this spring’s roof collapse we heard that a Target store was coming in to replace it. We really hope not.

Didnt think it was great. No on-site bakery. Some of the wines I looked at were more expensive than Whole Foods. Price was good if you bought six but just here on vacation in condo. Also lunch meat that we bought was supposed to be on sale and it did not ring up at sale price. Two clerks said they didnt know about sales at deli. Even after showing their ad, they had to page manager, have them look at ad and fix it. Needless to say people behind us were not happy.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Store was short on a few supplies. I got the last bag of marshmallows. They forgot to bag something and we came back the next day and showed our receipt they were very helpful. I went to several other stores in town this place had the friendliest staff. 5 stars

I dont know if its the COVID-19 situation affecting this store but its not as enjoyable experience as it was in the past. I used to come here as a child in the 70s and 80s and theyre was a lot of energy and pride shown by all staff and it reflected in the store in many areas of operation. Ive come by when Im at Lake Tahoe but because I moved out of California in 2009, its been rare. Until now, it was still a nice place to shop. Now, there are areas of neglect. It feels disorganized and its obvious theyre short staffed. After shopping yesterday when we arrived in town yesterday, I went for coffee today at the in-store Peets and while the lady was very pleasant, it was obvious she was overwhelmed being the only one working in the department. She was prepping the deli and handling coffee orders, alone.Also, prepped food quality was poor. I purchased three bacon breakfast burritos. They were microwaved then placed in a panini press. Unusual but that wasnt the issue. The issue was that we thought they put rice in the burrito but one of us realized it was potato. It was minced. That wasnt the worst of it. The biggest problem we had with these $5.99 burritos was that they were bland, not even salted. At least not enough to make a difference. I believe the only salt came from the bacon. I not only expected more for the price but also because its Raleys.I hope this is from the challenging times were in and not a trend. Regardless, Im going to shop at Safeway on the Nevada side for the rest of this trip. No CRV for plastics I purchase, including plastic shopping bags. Oh, by the way, Raleys also charges for PAPER bags.

Kathy the manager on PM shift was excellent! We had a huge cart full of groceries and she opened up an extra lane and jumped on herself. Very friendly and personable and goes beyond standard customer care. Excellent service, good prices and variety!

Well stocked, organized, and I found everything I needed. Pleasantly surprised to find very affordable prices, consistent with what I expect at my local store and not next to a ski resort. Give yourself a lot of time to park. So many people cross the street to heavenly village and no one watches parking. So good luckBig and good selection. Sell just about one of everything. You can get ice melt, a beenie, gloves, plastic toboggans, key chains, HUGE selection of beer, wine and liquor. Huge produce department. big enough that they will have what you need. Bakery, deli, sandwich shop.

Its Raleys. What do you expect? The check out lines are always long here. No exception today. Only one register open and the line was halfway down the aisle. No one in the line could go to self checkout because you cant purchase alcohol there.

The gentleman at the meat department was wonderful. Great personality! Perfectly seasoned ribeyes. Thank you!The store is stocked with everything you will need for an awesome South Lake Tahoe stay. It is across the street from the Marriott. With kitchens in the room and Raleys stop is mandatory.

This is a nice Raleys location, which always seems to be well stocked and adequality staffed. The downside is because of the close proximity to nearby tourist attractions, the store is often overrun with people, which can be frustrating. Also parking can be a nightmare because of tourists; it seems the store tries their best to keep the lot clear of skiers and tourists, but it never seems to help. Overall a good store in a rather unfortunate location.

This 5star rating goes to the employee named Aaliyah! In a store full of employees this morning she was the only one to take notice of the fact that I had been waiting a substantially long time to get help with a rug doctor. Even after I approached another employee who had supposedly called it in. I was waiting close to 15minutes while multiple employees passed me with no acknowledgement. I watched as they sat in the same area conversing and trying to look busy. Aliyah had just come back from a break and started helping bag for another cashier. I politely expressed to her how long I had been waiting and she immediately stopped what she was doing and assisted me. After asking if they were allowed to take tips she stated no, however I was going to ensure I gave her one. The rug doctor is about 40$. I went to the ATM and grabbed an extra 40$ and made sure to give it to her in front of each employee that passed me up and then each and every one of those employees wanted to apologize all of a sudden. I dont think these women ment anything by it, however I felt very, very disappointed and disgusted at the same time. So again, I thank you very much Aaliyah for handling a task that seemed too big for other employees to handle! Hopefully you go and grab a nice lunch!

As we had an Air BnB for our stay. A house with 5 bedrooms that comfortably held 12 family members. Raleys became our one stop shop for all of our cooking. Customer service was great as they helped us find things, prices were reasonable and always seemed to be open when we needed anything. Thanks for taking care of our shopping needs.

I would give this place a 5 star but there was absolutely no customer service. We asked a courtesy clerk a question and we never got an answer out of her, employees were walking by us, and no interaction what so ever. I’m in the grocery business and traveling from out of town, and walking in here, I wanted to immediately inform the manager, I didn’t because I had to be on my way, but if it were me I would take immediate action on focusing on the customers. Hopefully I don’t have this issue again.

This is a great place to shop for produce and any minor things you forgot to pack from home. They have fresh produce and hot food available too. The prices are reasonable and tends to get busy when everyone is done playing in the day decides to go shopping in the evening.

The delivery was far from acceptable. About a quarter of the items were missing and another quarter substituted, so in total half of the 30 original items didnt arrive. I did get a call about 2 items being substituted but thats it. I ordered things like cereal and because they didnt have the exact brand available they brought nothing. I wouldve accepted any other cereal to be honest. They must have some? I guess my household will be going without breakfast for the next couple of days. Would never use this service again.

This Raleys is convenient if youre staying nearby and need to pick up a few groceries instead of eating out every night. They have a great selection of just about everything. Advantages: Nearby businesses area, apartment and close to road. They have a wide space for parking. It is also great to walk on or jogging area. Although there is also a limited items that cant be find here, like fresh seafoods. Most of them are in frozen and cutted. Other items cannot be bought by piece but mostly by packs (bummer since I am alone). It may not be the cheapest and affordable store but can be convenient since it is near our apartment. They lack of staff so sometimes youll have to wait in line but luckily some cashier is quick and fast. If youll ask me on how I rate Raleys, its gonna be 6/10.

Now that they have self checkout there are no express lanes. My one bottle of wine somehow necessitated a 30 min line. Other states like Texas have figured out how to do alcohol through self checkout. Until Navada figures it out please keep staffing normal express lanes.

I went to this grocery store while on vacation at Marriotts Timber Lodge. I was pleased that this is a proper grocery store. There is a large selection of food. There is also a good selection of beer and alcohol. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

The store was great.Although, Cashier (648138) extremely rude, bad customer service. Didn’t say a word throughout the whole transaction. I work in the store chain and I know how important it’s is to engage with the customers and leaving them with the most best posible experience ever. We had flown 5,000 miles, and driven another 100, to get here. It’s too bad California was in the middle of such a drought... I thought that the whole place might burn down at any minute. The breakfast at our hotel was barely a snack, so we stopped in to see what they had at Raley’s. What a joy! It’s nice to find something, anything nowadays, that hasn’t been sucked up by the huge chain stores. I bought some souvenir magnets here, California Bear Flag motif, and so on. My wife got in the express lane, and her service was good. When I tried it (I guess I’m not cute enough), the clerk gave me the cold shoulder instead of a paper bag. Then we went to get a turkey sandwich at the deli, but the wait was too long, so we just got coffee at Peet’s. That was the right choice! I recommend Raley’s to anyone seeking a decent supermarket in Tahoe.

It was Friday night and there was a rush to buy adult beverages. There was only one cashier open... You cant use self service for beer, wine, or liquor. There was almost a mini riot among the line of about 10 customers waiting, until a second register was opened.Otherwise, the place had everything we needed for our weeklong stay in South Tahoe.

Super nice store and friendly staff. Basically what you would expect from an uppercrust store like Raleys. The deli and premade food choices were really good. I got a baguette with prosciutto brie arugula and some sort of jam. It was super good and easy to grab and go. Definitely hit up this store if you are staying in Tahoe and get some good cheap grub. The restaurants arent very good in the area, so it is worth getting something from here.

We end up at Raleys for our grocery shopping every time were visiting Tahoe. They have everything you need and its a small enough store that it doesnt take forever to get around the place.They sell alcohol here as well so its easy to get all your vacation needs in one quick trip.Side note: you cant buy alcohol in the self-checkout lane and I forget every time which is frustrating.

One consistent element in my camping experience: after breaking camp, by the time Im ready to hit the road home its just about lunch time. Thats when this conveniently located Raleys deli department does great. I buy a beverage in the Supermarket (good beer selection) and warm up the meal deal in the microwave they provide. Raleys cafe is nicely redecorated but we took our meal deals to the rest stop -- still warm and tasty.

My 1st time here & Greg (I think his name was) was so rude. Ive worked in customer service for years! I politely asked him to hand me the stickers I was buying & he asked me why dont u hand me your stickers in a very rude way. This Raley store is more than just a supermarket. Not only does it have an extensive grocery items, it has had winter clothing and fun stuff for summer too. It also has my bank, Wells Fargo, and Peets coffee. Also, we are staying at the Marriott Grand Residence, so Raley is super convenient

Great place to shop in lake tahoe. They have a huge parking log and there are other businesses that share it as well. This store is right next to the heavenly village, but they have a lot of issues with people parking here to go to heavenly, so they have hired a parking officer who will give you a ticket and mark your tires so watch out!Huge selection of any food you need, and standard along the lines of the raleys/nob hill expectations.

So my husband and where staying at Harrahs and taking our Tahoe walk! I grew up in Tahoe so I knew Raleys was there but hadnt visited in 30 years. It was now located behind Starbucks....lol! I love that there is a supermarket close to many of the hotels in this area. They close at midnight too so if you want a late night snack you dont have to buy overpriced snacks from your hotel or convenience stores. We bought some fruit and gatorade here before hitting the slopes and saved so much money! We bought a large gatorade for 89 cents where Sierra was selling a small gatorade for $4.50!!
