No need to look further for feeders, supplies and fantastic customer service! This is my go-to place for mealworms, fruit flies and roaches. I even got a few pet anoles (adorable) from them😁 Everything always arrives as advertised and 100% alive and healthy. Customer service goes above and beyond even when it was my mistake in ordering! They are easily reachable whether it be on the phone or in a text. They have truly been there for me as a customer every time I had questions or needed to make changes. Highly recommend!!!

Its literally a one-stop shop, lol... They have pets, feeders, enclosures, and supplies. Ive been coming here since 2013. They have everything you can think of except live feeder mice. They do have frozen-thaw feeder mice, if thats what you need. The staff is always amazing!

If you have any need for feeder insects, Rainbow Mealworms is your best bet! As a keeper of several different reptiles, I purchase all my insects through RMW and am beyond satisfied every time. No dead bugs or excess poop, shipping is fast and convenient, and you cant beat the price. They provide plenty of food for the hornedworms which just a huge plus. They will continue to receive my business for years to come. Highly recommend!

DO NOT ASK FOR A REFUND EVER!!!! Sad customer service.Thank you for responding, however it was only 1 order that this was over. If I look at the other reviews it is a common thread through your business. Years of great service and then a bad order and banishment. Thats the returning customer part that seems to be lost.I was a longtime customer ordering frequently and had the same experience as so many others I see here. I had an order that was miss shipped and was sent on a long post office journey. When I did end up getting the poor crickets were dead or on deaths doorstop. My mistake came when I simply asked for a refund. Usually companies oblige and take care of their customers to maintain the relationship and future business.Since then over 10 times I have tried to order crickets and worms for my 9 yr old daughter, who is currently breading leopard geckos. Each time my order is cancelled and immediately refunded. I have called in to talk to someone to see if I could make it right and they put me on hold, hung up on me and permanently blocked my phone number.I am sure Fred took care of his clients in the past and from reading about the new ownership they wanted to take the customer service to a new level. After reading all the negative reviews I see this has sadly not happened. If anyone asks for a refund they begrudgingly do so and then refuse any further purchase. This is the complete opposite of what it means to take care of your customers and help generate future business. I do like their product and wish we could continue doing business but it is not the case. My advice again is DO NOT ask for a return or you will be banished to a life of hungry lizards.

Excellent customer service, although I never called or spoke to anyone, They made sure to send me multiple updates regarding my order via Email. (ie, when it shipped, eta of delivery, ect.) Received my order fast and on time! Packaging was very well done! Actually very impressed on how they took pride to insure everything made it safely. Each container was adequate size, not too small or too big, and even had tape to ensure the containers wouldnt break open (have had other companies poorly package and worms were all split in the box). Ordered some feeder lizards as well, slightly larger than i initially expected but thats OK!, and they arrived safe and sound, they even had some tissue balls to give them some added padding so they wouldnt get jostled around during shipping. Will definitely be ordering from this company again for my feeding needs!

If you didn’t select 1 or 2 day shipping, expect to get your package weeks after you place your order. The weather was not above 80 degrees around the time I ordered and obviously can’t check the weather weeks in advance. I don’t think it’s fair that you have to pay ridiculous shipping prices to guarantee your pet is going to get the food it needs on time. Tracking said it was supposed to be delivered yesterday... Still waiting. Going on 12 days since I placed my order. Have had nothing but bad luck with all of these local feeder companies.

I have never had a shipping delay or the arrival of dead feeders. Even though there are shipping costs, the good prices on all of the feeders makes up for it. So, this is one of the best places to order feeder insects if you are unable to breed them or purchase locally. Even then, Rainbow mealworms has amazing prices compared to some local stores. You can purchase 1000 mealworms for just $8! Thats less than what I pay for a 100 count at Petco.I raise praying mantises and so far, Rainbow mealworms has been the only reliable website that has the insects I need. Im unable to culture my own roaches right now so their flies and banded crickets are why I can own mantises in the first place. Mantises go bonkers for any flying food and banded crickets are a healthy cricket variety they can eat. Just always make sure to keep the cricket set up clean to prevent diseases!

I just ordered for the first time based upon recommendations from other customers. My order arrived in less than two days, all the worms were alive as promised. Also the pricing was fantastic. For what I normally pay for 100 super worms at Petsmart, I was able to get 500 on this website as well as the food/bedding for the Worms. Also everything is so convenient so now I no longer have to make trips to the pet store every couple of days to get food for my bearded dragon. I called to verify the time they close and was told the office closes at 3:00 p.m. but the store is open till 3:30 I clarified with her I will be helped if I make it before 3:30, she said yes. I got there at 3:10 p.m. and they were leaving. I told them I just drove an hour and was told over the phone that youd be open till 3:30. The guy couldnt care less, walked past me, and wouldnt even look me in the eye while walking to his Sonata saying I dont know who told you that, we always close at 3:00 p.m. I couldnt believe how inconsiderate and rude this guy was.

So I would give them a 5/5 they have the best prices and usually save me a lot of money...i places a order about two weeks ago I went back to order that same order and the shipping is more now at first i could or 50-60$ worth of bugs and only pay about 20$ for shipping i just tried to place a order that was 35$ and the shipping is $22. Two weeks ago that same order was $16 for shipping🤦🏽‍♂️ And i actually order less on this order. Bugs always come alive even the crickets which ever ones knows will die daily

Everything arrived in perfect condition.There was a glitch with FedEx and the package was delivered and held somewhere else. It worked out fine in the end. Ive heard from everyone that this website is so great, but Ive only ordered from them three times (today being the third time) because the first two times I had issues with them, and I had issues again today. The first time the package was dropped off at my BACK DOOR, instead of the front door like I was eagerly expecting, in the middle of winter, and I didnt find the box for two two days and of course all my bugs were dead.The second time, they were dropped off and held at a UPS post office almost AN HOUR away from where I lived. Im not sure why, as that wasnt the address I put and of course there was a closer post office near me.This time, I ordered them to be held for pick up at my nearest FedEx hub, where I have quite literally EVERYTHING shipped to with no issues. But for whatever reason that wasnt quite explained to me, my insects could not be shipped and held here unless I paid extra. So I switched my shipping method and am now having them shipped to my house, in the middle of summer, and Im fully expecting all my bugs to arrive dead.Ive had nothing but issues with this company and this website. I always argue against it when people tell me how great they are, and I always advocate NOT to order from them. This will most likely be my last time attempting to order from them, expecting to receive a good experience.

I have been a faithful customer for many years, but I never will be again! I take my business elsewhere now.I received 2 consecutive, BAD orders.After they interrogated me (literally) and ignored me for days, trying to prove that it was MY fault (not theirs, of course), they did finally replace them, but then they immediately, literally blocked me from their website...without even informing me or offering me an explanation, as to why.They wont even respond to me, when I asked why they blocked me. Apparently they have SO much business, that they dont need or want mine.Hows that for customer service???I am a business owner myself and would NEVER disrespect a customer or treat them that way.Their smaller sized crickets are always on the larger side, incorrect amounts (mostly shorted) and usually arrive with many, many dead crickets.Their dermestid beetles (cleaner crews) are completely and horribly out of control! They DO fly everwhere, even at low temperatures and theyre very hard to contain. I cant even open the colonys enclosure without them flying out by the hundreds!My other dermestid beetle colonies (purchased elsewhere) never fly at all, theyre perfectly normal.

The prices are amazing, I got the Bearded Dragon pack and my beardie loved the large variety. These guys are so awesome. If I have any questions, theyre quick to answer them even if its a general question like caring for Dubia roaches. Just got my first package in the mail (bearded dragon sampler pack), and not 1 dead insect.. I live in Florida and used FedEx standard overnight. Thank you and definitely will use again! The only thing I would say is if you advertise dont order past 3 weeks of bugs to give 3 weeks of food with order, even if it was more expensive. Which that comment will not be reflective of the review because it was clearly stated how much food would be in package.

Got my first order today and am blown away by the customer service. Not a single dead bug, except half my hornworms, out of the 500 I bought and shipped to myself in Arizona. (It was 110 today by the way) storing at the post office is a must where I live and am so glad I had that option. I messaged the customer service letting them know half the hornworms had died and I just wanted to know the best way to keep the rest alive. They gave me some amazing information since I had never purchased them before and also refunded all the hornworms and my shipping!! Be aware of very poor shipping with this company. I have come across this company just by simply looking for feeders online. First couple times I ordered everything was great, order even came in early. One good thing that never failed is feeders were always healthy and never dead. Now for the bad parts, shipping and customer service. I think I have I want to say around 7 or 8 orders and roommate has done around that many and we have never had it be a problem being delivered. For the most part, its the post office that messes up. No knock, leaves it at random places. Sometimes even leaves it in the mailbox and hours later you will get an email or text from rainbow saying to pick up your order, hhhmmm. This time, it said it was out for delivery at 10am, by 3pm I should have messaged the company but waited til about 430 and right when I was contacting them I got a failed delivery email. Said specifically that they couldnt leave package in a secure area. Why is that? I dont live in a gated community and I never had that problem before being that they have no problems leaving packages in the mailbox that say LIVE ANIMALS!!! plus theres nothing blocking my condo and did I say I dont live in a gated community and had over 10 orders delivered to our house between my roommate and I. What makes me even more upset is that Gillian who I know is the owner because I had talked to her about an associate with poor customer service has the same service just doesnt acknowledged this time that she is the owner. Tells me that the mail person couldnt securely leave package and that the facility its at cant redeliver and that I would have to go pick it up. Um, I have lymphoma cancer and the whole reason of ordering online and sending it to my house was because I cant leave at times and Im home for almost all of it. One more thing, it said post man left a note to either get it redeliver or pick up. No note left, and telling all of this to Gillian, she doesnt care and almost made it seem like I was at fault; I was literally waiting in my living room all day with my screen door open so I could see when the order came in, as I always do because it just gets left outside. Even had my roommate check the mail to see if it was left in there and not even a note was in there so did the package even leave the post office!?Good thing I have a friend who works at the post office to help me. When she really looked into the placement of the package, it never even left the las vegas facility, it was being held for pick up all day and then because it was the post office mistake they acted like they tried to deliver it and alerted rainbow who in return emailed me about the failed delivery. My friend even said this is not the first time and companies in return just blame the customer because they dont have a back bone to get with a manager of usps!!!So, Gillian thank you for my return and I will let my friends who I have referred to your company the situation that I am in. I may even take it to channel 13, post offices are very poor now days, especially in vegas and then to have a company who does probably a big part of their business in shipping to not take responsibility is very sad. Like I said, I have lymphoma cancer and make orders like this to my house because of how hard it is to leave the house sometimes. Then to have my package not show up and be told that it was my fault and have to go pick it up is no where near customer service! I will also still be bugging you until I get my refund because after asking about 2 times for a refund I got no response from the owner on when its getting refund. Ive managed doors and windows for most of my life and even when i had to return things and bite my tongue i always responded to the customer to let them know what will be happening next. Been ordering from them for a while, this past order though I ordered 2000 mealworms and 1000 super worms. When I received the package, most of the mealworms were dead and all of the super worms were dead. I reached out to rainbow mealworms within the 24 hour mark and received a reply almost instantly. They insured that I would get a new shipment of the worms, and within 4 days, I received the new shipment. Thier customer service is amazing!

I stopped in for some feeder insects for my bearded dragons and frozen feeder rats for my ball python. They always have the best prices for reptile supplies and feeders. Their products are good but their customer service is EXTREMELY LACKING! second time ordering from them has not been pleasant they shipped on a Thursday when their site said mon-wed so the bugs got here to early and had to wait from sat to Tues to pick them up due to holiday. Then they were improperly packaged so most escaped (post office was mad and let me know). Then when I asked them to resend the crickets I was asked if they could do a store credit I said no I want my crickets. Then they magically said i didnt do live guarantee (which I did have live guarantee marked and I picked up at the post office) so they couldnt do anything for me. So I called yesterday they said they would send a new shipment to me and I would get tracking yesterday.Update they are doing their best to make it right. ( update below ) I have managed reptile stores for the past 8 years or so and now I finally own my own. Rainbow has some of the best prices on mealworms and super worms... hands down. But the crickets are high priced and in almost 10 years of dealing with them off and on, they have some of the worst cricket counts you can imagine. They say oh just let us know but after doing it so many times over and over I was loosing customers not having crickets. Also the way they price shipping is all over the place. They will just raise the shipping on you if you have issues with your order and not give you options.I do still order some things from them but I use Ghann’s for crickets because they live a long time and the counts are always over. I’m sorry for giving u guys 2 stars but I’ve never had such issues with crickets ( and Dubia ) with any other company.UPDATE :Response to owner below, I actually upgraded from 2 stars to 3 stars because you were helpful on the last order so it looked like I just made a review when In fact I was just giving u a better raising. About 1k super worms came in dead but I didn’t hold it against you because you helped me out by shipping it the way you did.

Horrible! We got the package as it was being delivered, and all 250 worms were already dead and crispy. They were dead way before they arrived at our house. The company said that there is no way they will survive in the Fed Ex truck on a warm day. So, do not think you can get the box straight from the delivery guy and think they are going to be alive. Very Disappointed!After this post, the owners did keep their word and refunded my money in the form of a store credit. I appreciate the prompt response from the owner. Thank you!

This last time they screwed up they actually accused the post office of stealing and said can no longer ship to me. 5 yrs of ordering from them, 10k+ a year spent. Never once has our post office tampered with our packages. The owner herself calls her employees stupid. Have several lies for excuses from this girl. This started with a screw up on their end that we called them out on. Now mind you nothing but professionalism was from our behalf but this classy owner since you know they werent in the wrong, went as far as blocking all 3 of our numbers, blocked us from facebook, blocked us from their biz page etc etc. I mean I am utterly blown away at how much of a child this 40yr old is. Butter worms arrived and were shoddy. Around 5 out of 25 were dead. And by dead I dont mean just not moving. They were brown, shriveled, and mushy. Theyd been dead awhile, and would have been even if I used the alive guarantee. Maybe unrelated but my hedgehog has no interest in any of the other ones in the container, even though he enjoys butters.Horn worms look great but dont seem to be a hit with him. Thats not their fault, of course, so the stars knock is for the quality of the butters. Those from Elliots are much better.

I have been doing business with rainbow mealworms since 2016. Currently I average purchasing 40,000 mealworms every 2 1/2 weeks. In the past this number varied from 10,000 to 40,000. They shipped it in a cloth bag, that the mealworms chewed out of by the way, and roamed around the box, almost half of them escaped because there are huge holes on the side of the box, easy escape for them. Our first 2 orders from this company were flawless. The third order, and subsequent replacement order...not so much. Our third order was supposed to be 7,000 1 mealworms and 1000 superworms. The container of mealworms were not 1, they were what appeared to be 3/4. On top of that, there was about 150 superworms mixed into the bag. (The bag was not torn or chewed). The bag of superworms, likewise, contained a large qty of the larger 1 mealworms mixed into them. This took lots of time to sort out into different bins. When we contacted Rainbow, they offered to re-ship us a new order of mealworms of the correct size. When they arrived......almost the entire 7,000 mealworms were completly inactive and dead. We gave it 24hours to make sure on alive/dead, and after sorting, theres maybe 1k alive, the rest had to all be thrown out. I cant say for the shippers end, but temps on our end were mellow in the high 70s, to low 80s. No reason for this
