Small shop that had several different bike racks built-up to test out the fit and style with my vehicle. I called ahead to find out what was available in the store ahead of time since Im out of town (Sherman Oaks is the closest location for me). I had a pleasant experience talking with the representatives who answered my questions and helped me load hitch racks on my car. They also helped with the installation and the rack has been great so far!

This is my go to for all things related to hitches and racks. Started with great Hitch Installation for my Wifes X3 this past summer that I used to attach a 5 Bike Thule Bike Hitch Rack that Ive used numerous times. Went back today and they helped me put on Thule Motion XT XL on my new 2022 Wilderness and rekeyed my crossbars as well. They showed me how to get the right distance between the two Subaru/Thule Cross Bars (had to buy these from Dealer since its 2022) I had just insalled myself earlier this morning. They rekeyed them so I can use same key for crossbars and cargo box. Nate and another person there were great as have all the people who work there. Will be back for more Bike/Surf gear and for their great service and knowldege. Would not hesitate to make this your 1st and last stop for all gear. 2023 edit: Just bought more crossbars for Jeep and rekeyed again so can use one set keys and put same cargo box or water shower on either vehicle.

Our newly purchased Thule Easyfold bike hitch rack from Rack Attack in Sherman Oaks is a fantastic addition to our Tesla Y vehicle. It helps us easily and safely to take our two bicycles to the beach for a wonderful ride on bike path along the beach. It easily gets connected and removed and it gets folded as well takes less space. Definitely recommended.

Jeffery and Mike were both nice and great help. Jefferey was my first and main point of contact while at the store. Jeffrey was clearly passionate and knowledgeable in their products and the nuances between the varying types and models along with the different ways they can be utilized.You could see he lit up at the opportunity to help with all of my questions and needs. I feel like he went above and beyond without detracting from any of his baseline duties. I walked out with a trailer hitch that I purchased and he made sure to beat me to the door so that he could open them both for me.As a bonus.. I was waiting for my part to be delivered to the store and had asked about a nearby hardware store. He googled it and gave me the name and directions which helped me a ton. This type of interaction helps makes someones day, ensures that they come back and stays loyal to the store and in my opinion is absolutely management quality.Ill be sure to recommend this store to all my friends and family. Incredible experience here at Rack Attack Sherman Oaks recently. Jeffrey was super patient, professional, and knowledgable. They didnt have parts for my cars specific kit initially, but when I found cross bars through my dealer, I headed back to Rack Attack for an install and to get a cargo box. I got there 10mins before closing, and the team was super helpful, got everything installed in 15mins or less, and didnt make me feel bad for the timing! Would 10/10 recommend heading to Rack Attack before you try anywhere else!

I feel like such a tool for not catching the guy’s name, but we came in to this Rack Attack to try and get keys for a couple of our Thule cargo carriers, and we more than succeeded. (6/14/23@3pm)This guy went above and beyond any idea you have of what great customer service looks like. Friendly and knowledgeable, for sure, but also the kind of person that makes you feel like you’re more than just a customer. Like an actual human being.We didn’t spend a lot of money, but we were treated like we spent thousands. Seriously, hats off to this employee for sure, and a heart felt thank you from a couple of North Dakotan transplants.Our only other experience with Rack Attack came from our purchase of these carriers in Denver a couple years ago, and the employees there were very much of the same cut. I get the feeling that Rack Attack just hires good people, and care about the people they come across. Great employees make a great complaint.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Rack Attack. I had misplaced the key for my cross bars and the person working around 1pm was extremely helpful and professional. He managed to find out what company the bars were from and located the key in less than 10 minutes! The level of service and help provided was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this place! They have literally EVERYTHING you could want or need in terms of vehicle racks of all kinds.Being a bike-rack “novice”, I was a little nervous before I went here (fearing I would be given a lot high pressure tactics). But it was a really great experience. I needed to have a new tow hitch installed on my car so I could have a solid bike rack for my E-Bike. But from the moment I entered, the entire staff made me feel welcome, and they were super helpful and knew exactly what I needed. I made an appointment and they installed my new hitch a day or two later…they did it very professionally….and in less time than they estimated (just about 2 hours total).I also decided to buy a high quality bike rack to hold my ginormous (and super heavy) E-bike. It was a sweet, top-of-the-line Thule folding rack, and I really wanted it to work out.….but after I got it home and tried to load my bike, I realized out that my bike’s extra long wheelbase (at 50.5”) was just a bit too long to fit on the rack, and it wouldn’t have been safe. I carefully saved all the boxes, and packed it back up, and I brought it back the next day. The guys at the store were super understanding, and they refunded my money without any problems or issues.If my bike wasn’t so freakishly big and heavy, I would definitely have bought another rack right then, but having just unsuccessfully tried the biggest Thule rack available, I think I’m going to have to try a motorcycle or scooter rack attached to my new tow hitch, and just use straps and such.Anyway, if you are located anywhere near the Valley and thinking of getting any kind of sports or storage rack for your vehicle, definitely head over to Rack Attack in Sherman Oaks. They are very friendly, super helpful, and won’t pressure you to get something you don’t need (and I think they’ll even price match other retailers — including Amazon — plus you get their great customer service at no extra charge!

If you want great customer service and your roof rack/box investment protected then this is the place to buy from. I purchased my roof crossbars from them and had ran into some issues with another product I had. Long story short rack attack went out of their way and was able to help me get sorted. Shout out to Miles and Jody (hope I spelled that right) who went above and beyond with helping me out. There are many places to buy your roof rack, cargo box, etc but few would provide the type of customer service you get here. I will definitely be returning here for my next setup!

Came in very last minute to buy a rooftop cargo box for a road trip I was leaving on that evening. I had an idea of what I was looking for and the folks at Rack Attack Sherman Oaks showed me the options that would fit my car and made some great recommendations on features I would find useful.I ended up going with the Yakima Skybox 16. They didn’t have it at the store but because of when I needed it they had me drive to their storage facility a couple minutes away and included the installation at no extra cost.Can’t say enough about their customer service and friendliness, definitely stop by and check them out!

I had been looking for a roof rack/ cargo box set up for quite sometime among several retailers. I ended up coming across Rack Attack while continuing my search, this is when I contacted the Sherman Oaks location and Marcus answered. Marcus was awesome and maintained communication with me so I can find what I needed. Even though sometimes and maybe more lately due to global circumstances product availability can be an issue, Marcus’s time he invested in ensuring I had the right parts for my particular time line was fantastic! I was honestly blown away and it felt good to receive great customer service because it’s tough to come across sometimes and should be recognized! This resulted in me having all parts needed for the set up I wanted (Marcus educated me on some equipment that was actually a much better option for for my needs), including the purchase of a cargo box! Furthermore, with having purchased the cargo box at the Los Angeles location, the team over there was also great and were able to squeeze me in for same day install! I didn’t get their names, but they also helped me understand the cargo box options and functionality! A huge shout out to both locations and their customer service support, so cool to have started with the initial phone call and customer service/ continuous follow up and attention to detail from Marcus that got my family and I our road trip rack and cargo box set up!! Great experience here. Needed a ski/snowboard rack for an audi q7 on short notice. They had all the parts in stock and got me in within 24 hours. Took about an hour to do the installation. Pricing was in line with ordering online, install was ~$150 bucks. Totally pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

The best part of rack attack Tarzana are the employees. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. In fact, the rack I purchased was missing a part during installation, so I had to come back a few days later. In search of someone to install a hitch on my truck I stopped with these guys and got some direction. They were prompt in their assessments and quickly realized they couldn’t tackle the job. Which is understandable, because it’s a custom job, no dent to them. Rather, we greatly appreciated their honesty (u-haul just wasted the precious 3 days telling me they could do it when in the end, they weren’t capable). I dealt with Bailey. He referred me to a specialist who took care of my truck. I greatly appreciate these guys experience and honesty because I was at the end of my options for this hitch receiver. They helped me more than they even know and I got it done with their advice and assistance. You need a rack - go to these guys.

I went to Rack Attack a few weeks ago.I had bought a Thule Upride bike rack online and I just could not get it secured to my Subaru. The built in rack on my Outback was giving me problems.I went to Rack Attack and talked to Bailey. As previous reviews have noted, this store has great equipment and they are very knowledgeable. They also overcharge to a ridiculous extreme and some of the products they sell (namely tow hitches) are not refundable. Their installation prices are roughly twice the competition. If you want to be pay a fair price, you should probably look elsewhere.

I cant say enough about these guys! I had purchased a roof top tent for my Tahoe, and it was mounted on factory rails, which were not strong enough, and it didnt hold it properly, resulting in a 200 pound sliding weight on the roof of my car and a terrifying and unsafe driving experience. After spending HOURS online and calling other shops, I determined that my only option was a custom platform. This would be about $1200-$1500, minimum. This was frustrating since I had just paid quite a bit for my tent. After a few days (riding my motorcycle because car was unsafe), I became demoralized and figured Id have to sell the tent. Someone on a Facebook page recommended these guys-who just opened in Sherman Oaks. I called, and Bailey got me in within a few hours. They only charged me $125 to pull off and reinstall-a process that my husband, cousin and I had already done twice and spent hours on. I would have paid nearly any amount of money to not have to do that! They put on another rack, saving my hundreds if not thousands of dollars. AND-the installers Jody and Daniel were super personable, professional, helpful and FAST. They got me in and out, and helped other customers, in an hour and a half. They also helped me with my existing bike rack, which was pretty loose and missing a part. They are honest, hard working, and will get you on the road way faster than any other place. If you, like me, thought you could put a RTT on a factory rack and need a rescue-give them a call!

I’ve only left a few reviews in my life, but I wanted to leave a review for the rack attack in Sherman oaks . The guy who I dealt with over the phone and the manager were very patient and friendly with me yesterday and today and were very understanding of something I got that had a few missing parts . They were able to give me the parts I was missing without completely returning ( I already had 75% installed on my truck ) . I have been looking for a bike rack for quite awhile so that my daughter and I could go to the beach and other places and ride our bikes. Bike stores only had a small number of different racks and the sales people, although nice, had very limited knowledge. The Rack Attack had so many racks to choose from. For cars with trunks or SUVs with hitches or if you prefer racks for the roof. And the staff is very knowledgeable, not only with their items but racks in general and how they work for your specific ride. I bought the Thule Easyfold (perfect for my CX-9) but will definitely be going back to get an additional roof rack that will hold one additional bike but also cargo.

Installation was originally scheduled at Sherman Oaks location, and then, due to staff shortage, they rescheduled our installation in Pasadena. We agreed, but then we went back to the Sherman Oaks store so they could help us secure the hitch that they installed and said they did not have tools to help us.Totally disappointed
