Race had a company come through in 2023 to install the conduit for the fiber. Signed up for race in Dec 2023. Race has yet to provide internet service to my area. I hope the fiber isnt as slow as the company. Had to complain the city as the box installed in my easement was crooked. Luckily, the city corrected the box the next day.Not impressed with Race so far. I am constantly getting mailers and door hangers to sign up. How about putting the resources into providing service.

Had AT&T and what a wonderful change when I went with Race Communications. Very few problems with Race and when I did have them they were addressed immediately and professionally.Even when I had a special request to setup a specific channel for my RC radio, they accommodated with the desired results immediately. Happy Camper.

I lost the internet signal once, and it turned out that my dog pulled on the cable outside. The internet guy came out and fixed it. The speeds are always good, and My Race TV works great on any device. So much cheaper than my old satellite service and I dont have to pay a huge extra fee for sports with my package. Im very happy.

Our house was already wired for Race 1Gb internet from the previous owner, but the technician who setup our equipment was quick and helpful, and our service has been great. We live in a fairly remote and rural location, so we were surprised to even have fiber internet available, much less to have it be so stable and fast. The couple of times we have had minor issues, the support people were helpful, and in our two years with Race we’ve had almost no outages. Overall, Race has been great — especially compared to the headaches we got from dealing with Time Warner and Spectrum in the past. We’re grateful to have such a great internet provider in our area.

7 years of service in rural Tehachapi, and I can recall two unscheduled outages, one restored within 30 min and the other within a day. Legit 1Gig up AND down, never throttled, always worked during our countless PSP and weather induced power outages (so long as you have power for your modem), and straightforward billing for the same price as the local 3Mb ASDL. Our install went great though I see not everyones will, but power through that if you have to and never look back.

I shopping at Walmart one day and a lady advertising another Internet provider that I had just cancelled because of terrible service I had, I told her that I had Race Communication and her relay was: THAT IS THE BEST INTERNET COMPANY in town!I have had some issues, but the service was quick to respond to my needs. I have recommended RACE to several perplex and they thank me for the recommendation, some were sad that RACE wasnt in their area.

Havent had any downtime to speak of with this service. Have had it over a year now. They are also very good about letting me know when they are going to service things (such as system updates). Over all superior to the prior company I was with who was also constantly raising rates and had a data cap.

The service was ok but then I moved and thats where the nightmare began. I shipped their equipment back and they claimed to have never received ALL of i.t yet, I sent them exactly what they gave me. I spoke with them about half a dozen times explaining that I shipped everything back to them: They then proceeded to charge me $1000!! Remember I sent modem and other devices back to them: it is now in collections (fraudulently) and now I have to work on removing from my report. Complete and under nightmare. I strongly discourage utilizing this company.

Reliable internet connection, with no throttling or dropped service!! Weve been with Race since 2023, and our experience in Ridgecrest, CA has been terrific. Email support is great, and their online help center answers most common questions youd call in for. We also enjoy that Race does not spam us, and simply delivers the product we requested. If they do any maintenance (either emergency or routine) we get emails notifying the time/duration/completion status. Also, check out their Instagram/Facebook pages, they are a joy to follow.

When we moved in the house was not connected to the internet. It took a while, but RACE hooked us up (trench) and now provide fast GB internet. For the last 3 years it has been rock solid and works perfectly. We use it 24/7 for everything. No complains, but prob spendy.

Race internet was fast, but the service was horrible and communication very poor. After a month of no service after a storm and no estimate of return of service we discontinued our contract with Race. No regrets and there are other great options out there.

Since the mandatory change from the boxes to the app, I have not been as satisfied. Getting to the app and selecting programs to watch on my smart TV take almost a minute.The channel times do not match up to the actual time so when I watch any program it is one minute behind. This is most apparent while watching sports programs. My brother has a different service and is telling me the outcome of plays before I see them. Occasionally, I have a problem with the lips synchronizing with words on programs.When I called to ask about the time lapse, the person was aware of all the problems with which I was concerned but basically told me there was nothing that could be done about it.

This company did work ok my property. They first jackhammered a half of a foot away from my vehicle after we had come out and asked if we needed to move it. They then damaged our sprinkler system and killed our grass even after we notified them that we had a system where they wanted to dig. Now its been four days and no one has contacted us(despite us contacting them) or fixed the issue. I have been jumping through hoops trying to fix the damage they made. Worst company I have ever come in contact with. Disappointed the city let them come onto peoples yards.

I come from a very populated city (Oxnard CA) and moved to a rural city (Pinon Hills, CA) recently. I expected that living a rural area, Internet will be slow, expensive and spotty but luckily, my cousin told me about Race. They brought in heavy equipment to connect the cables underground without charging me a dime. All I pay is $38 a month for internet that powers my whole house (tvs, multiple ring cameras, computers etc) without being slow, and I pay for the lowest option available. Highly recommend.

They were great while we had service. After we moved, we returned the equipment with a tracking number. We sent them the tracking number and after it was delivered, we had proof of delivery. They tried billing our account for several months after it was returned. I emailed them every time and sent them proof of delivery. They continued to try to bill us. We had to close that card so they couldnt try to charge us anymore. Then we got a call from a collections agency. We told them the entire situation and sent them proof of delivery. We thought it would have ended there. Nope. Two or three months later we get a call from a lawyer trying to sue us. We sent him the same info and apparently, that finally did it. It only took a year and a half to resolve this because they were too lazy to check the proof for themselves. Pathetic!

I have seen the reviews about the work crews, I guess we had a better construction crew they were careful with all they did around our house, the Gentleman that installed our wire to the house was very courtesy and made sure to clean up after himself, For the way they worked and install at my house I would recommend them

Race just installed the service for me 2 days ago (Dec 13th) and they already sent me a bill (Dec 15th) for $129, in the account statement detail, it says that my cycle starts from Dec 1st. Charging for 2 weeks of a service that I did not receive? When I called and spoke to an agent, he told me that it was normal to charge in advance, I am canceling my service and I am going to get Starlink,

We have been without service for over a month because of storm damage. Race can’t tell us when it will be actually restored. Many stories but no commitments or actual servicefor our internet, TV, and telephones. We still have not seen a single Race truck in our area.The only thing we have been offered is a credit for the service they didn’t give us. Does Race even check their reviews?

Great service! The person that installed the equipment in our house was very professional and courteous. Race always lets us know when to expect outages due to maintenance or other issues. These outages never really effects us because Race does maintenance in the very early hours. The wifi is extremely fast and reliable.

My neighborhood just had your company come and install underground utilities that involved digging up my lawn, digging up my decorative rock hardscaping and cutting the sidewalks in front of my two driveways.The final result after the install is hydraulic oil stained asphalt, sidewalks, gutters, and rocks. I am missing several rocks in my decorative yard. My lawn is dry and wilting, and there are still small holes where it was dug up. The largest section of lawn that was removed was approximately 2 feet x 4 feet. I had to remove this section of lawn after the construction crew “finished” due to the lawn being extremely sunken and dangerous as it was a tripping hazard. I added three 5 gallon buckets full of dirt to get the lawn close to level. What happened to the missing dirt!? The sidewalk in front of both of my driveways has been cut open and refilled with asphalt instead of concrete.The utility company did repair a broken sprinkler but my neighbors still have broken sprinklers.I spend a lot of time and money keeping my yard manicured. I understand my lawn is destroyed and I will have to spend my time and money to restore it, I was told by the construction crew to “over water” my lawn to bring it back to life! It wasn’t dead to start with, why am I paying for more water due to this company disrupting my lawn! I am beyond upset that my entire curb appeal has been damaged as a result of your company’s work. I was guaranteed my home would be restored to pre-construction conditions. The oil stained concrete, rocks, and asphalt cannot be easily cleaned. There obviously was a large oil leak into the storm drain from your workers. I am just so disappointed every time I come home. All of my neighbors and friends comment and ask why my house was destroyed so much more than the rest of the neighborhood. I need immediate results. How can you help? Please contact me as soon as possible to resolve this.**** 6/15 update. The construction crew came back to my house after this post and my contact on the Race Communications website. They did pressure was the oil around the gutter. I still spend about 20 hours pressure washing all around my house afterwards. I am still missing rocks around my redwoods and now my trees are starting to die! I am beyond devastated and I cannot stress how poor the follow up has been from this ordeal. There has been zero attempt to compensate me for my time, supplies, missing yard hard scape and now dying trees. PROTEST THIS NEW UTILITY INSTALL IF IT REQUIRES INSTALL IN YOUR YARD!

This is the WORST internet/phone service in existence. They’ve left my elderly parents without service for over a month now. In addition to this month, their service is out about 20-25% of the time (so the storm cannot be blamed).My parents live in Grass Valley and we’re snowed in with NO way to call for help. It is a liability having this company. Do NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

Had techs come out 3 times now to drop fiber lines and left with the same issue, poles that need permits. Waited a month to hear back about permits to find getting permits can take over a year. So I said it was ok to drop lines from trees like they suggested...Third time out they said they had the same problem, poles that need permits... but we talked about this? Does no one communicate at Race Communications? So Im wondering when or if this will even happen because Im tired of wasting my time and energy with endless phonecalls with Race when that effort could go into finding another provider. This is getting beyond ridiculous. I started my order over 3 months ago. Ive talked to both the scheduling department and technical support department today. Neither could tell me anything and just tried to reschedule the drop for a 4th time. Whats the point? Another 2 weeks Ill hear the same thing. Ill change my review if I ever get service. And I already sent an email to support as well with the same remarks.Update: The day after I wrote my review I got a call saying techs could come out the next day when every other time Id have to wait a min of 2 weeks to reschedule again. They did actually drop the lines and the following day someone came to do the in home setup. The service has been amazing since it has been set up. Only outages have been during the middle of the night the only reason I know is because they sent emails when it started and was resolved. Was never very long. We can stream on multiple TVs and use laptops and devices. Never had a lag issue. Granted neither of us play video games or anything. We have a mesh extender for our shop and also works great. I have not gotten a follow up or update on poles being installed so we can take the lines off the trees, which we were told we would. Unfortunate that it took me complaining but I really needed it for work, I really cant complain about the internet since the setup though.

This has been the most difficult experience of trying to get internet service. I have trying to get a hold of someone who can make something happen for about 4 months and I am constantly told to call back next week. At this point I was just told the subcontracting manager I was waiting on is now out of state. This has been the worst customer service experience and I feel like I will never get internet if I keep waiting for Race to get on top of their game.UPDATE: Well, eventually got internet installed and its been working great. Keeping the review at 3 stars to balance out the service initiation experience.

I cannot yet rate Race Communications as a service as we are not fully up and running but I can and will gladly give a 5 Star rating to Eric Ownbey the technician who brought the service into our home. Eric was very friendly, very courteous and respectful, very knowledgeable and very patient to help us understand more fully this service that is new to us. If Race Communications as a service is as excellent as Eric Ownbey is as a representative of the company, then we will be extremely satisfied.

Had a problem with connection. Service sent technician out and he was above an A+. Ended up fixed the line issue for a temp fix until line gets replaced. Technician was fantastic cant say enough about him great experience. Thanks guys
