Beware booking with Chase points….. I booked a two bed suite with sofa bed. I had confirmation from Chase of my room choosing. The hotel said the reservation they received was for a one bed room. I showed them they didn’t care. I called Chase and they said either it’s their system but most likely the hotel bait and switched me. Room quality was old and weathered. Property was very dated. Breakfast was great though.I look forward to hearing from you. I have confirmation of the room type I booked.***update no one from hotel has called to follow up regarding this issue and it’s been ten days

A great place to stay in SLO. Been coming here since the 1990s. The newly renovated rooms are spacious, great for families. And the free breakfast is very good. Its right next to the Cal Poly entrance, and located on Monterey Street just a few blocks from downtown. I suggest arriving on a Thursday evening so you can enjoy the farmers market downtown. Also be aware that the property has two quads: one with a pool in the common area, and a second without. The rooms near the pool can get a little noisy during the day if there are lots of kids, so if thats a concern, ask for a room away from the pool.The only complaint I have is the new down pillows and duvet. That might be luxurious for some people, but Im allergic and was wondering why I was wheezing all night. We didnt figure it out until the last day when my wife noticed feathers on my clothes. They should make it more clear in the room descriptions (Expedia), and offer non-feather bedding.

We actually liked this place. Its a bit further from downtown but the happy hour bar was exceptional and the breakfast was really good. The rooms are clean and spacious. It was surprisingly quiet even if they are next to a major street. We didnt use the pool or jacuzzi but they were open and heated. Very nice service and extremely helpful staff. Thank you.

Not sure where my original post with photos went.Older hotel. Extremely dissatisfied with the smell of bug spray in the rooms. They kindly let me change rooms, but should have said the whole ground floor smells like that. We had to check out the next day, the chemical spray is too strong to breath in all night. Lost money from our booking.There is a pool for people to enjoy.

Great hotel. Everything has been thought through, hotel is good quality and the staff is mostly friendly. Laundry and swimming pool onsite are a clincher for the price. Would recommend at this price range.EDIT: docked 1 star for rude waitress in the breakfast area who rudely asked us to tidy our table because we had stayed beyond the closing time.

The rooms were recently renovated, reminded by the smell of fresh paint and sound of construction from a room above (during business hours). Rooms were clean but the quality of rooms felt questionable, the low ceiling above the showerhead gets wet during shower and it was already showing water damage.Breakfast was prepared by cooks, but some items were cold.

Fantastic Hotel. Rooms are big with 2 TVs, refrigerator and microwave. Pool areas is very nice. WiFi good enough to stream sports on any device and free drinks in the evening topped it all off. Breakfast is really good. Overall great value

I was in SLO on a business trip involving a local government client and decided to stay within close proximity to downtown. I found the rates to be good value for the location and amenities. The check-in was friendly and efficient. My third floor room was a clean and comfortable king suite. The location is very convenient, which allowed me to walk to restaurants and my clients offices in downtown SLO. I really appreciated the complementary cooked to order breakfast offered as well as the other breakfast offerings. I didnt get an opportunity to partake of the evening reception and the barbecue for purchase. Overall, my stay was quiet and comfortable.

Fantastic happy hour every night, complete with dinner options. Hot breakfast is made to order. Plenty of room to stretch out in your suite. Separate living room and bedroom. People are friendly and the pool area is made for lounging.

I lost my Airpods in my room, after calling the housekeeping staff they handled it immediately and shipped it out ASAP. Whoever handled my Arirpods even took the stime to add padding inside the package around the Airpods to ensure safe travels.Otherwise, the hotel offers free (and made on demand) breakfast, a cheaply-priced but worthwhile BBQ pit in the afternoon, and a free bar at night. The water pressure in the shower is also worth the price of stay alone.I dont usually write reviews, but I wanted to thank the staff for taking care of me even after checking out.

This place was such a treat to stay at. We had three nights here during the Christmas break and we loved it.Every night between 5.30-7.30 we had the “managers special”, which was free beer and wine (or sangria or mimosas) at the downstairs bar. We also tried their BBQ one night, which is a very chill and cheap option for onsite dinner.The staff was very friendly and the room was big and clean.The breakfast was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed all the options: breakfast plate, breakfast burrito, scramble with mushrooms and of course a lot of cereal, fruit, bread etc.At night we soaked in the hot tub, which was never crowded and it was the perfect temperature.I can confidently say that this is very high value for money. Would definitely recommend it.Ps: the pizza restaurant next door, Bennys, is amazing!

For a Quality Inn this is nice. Lovely grounds, great extras like the complimentary drinks at night and barbque (very affordable). Breakfast is a step up from what you’d expect. A bit of a walk to downtown proper but also nice cuz it’s away from all that. Not a fan of the room setup- bathroom sink in the bedroom area. Overall a good affordable option.

Room was large and comfortable. Enter room from outside...so more of a motel. We fronted a lovely courtyard. There is a pool/hot tub which looked very nice. Happy hour seemed very popular. Breakfast was excellent with a friendly staff.Only complaint is the electric outlets need replacing. The prongs on all my appliances fell out of outlets. Overall a very nice place to stay.

This place has it ALL.😁 amazing rooms... well kept, well put together, very spacious rooms. Tvs worked Great. Awesome pool/l AND hot tub!! They have everything you could want or need, on the property. Including Happy Hour/ free drinks(wines/beers as well as a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.) from 530-730pm, An outstanding bartender.They also BBQ during that time for a decent price, right on the patio, where they have several different places for people to sit and enjoy food and drinks. Theres a little snack shop inside as well. There breakfast covers such a large variety, both multiple hot and cold options to choose from.

We always stay in this hotel when we come to the central coast. The best quality inn we have ever stayed at. Staff keep great care of the grounds and are always cleaning, raking, gardening. Free breakfast is amazing with fresh made to order burritos, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, hash browns. Every night they have free wine and beer. There is also bbq served every night for a very reasonable price. $3 hot dogs, $6 burger and $8 chicken sandwich. The pool and hot tub are maintained well. This hotel is reinvesting in the property by making updates and renovations to the rooms. Never had a bad experience here. By far the best place to stay on the Central Coast.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Quality Suites Downtown San Luis Obispo and we were blown away by the exceptional service, fantastic amenities, and unbeatable location.The staff was super friendly, they made sure that we felt comfortable throughout our stay and offered many suggestions for things to see and do in the area.The complimentary breakfast was simply amazing. It had a great variety of options to choose from, including eggs, bacon, waffles, burritos, cereals, yogurt, coffee and much more. We especially loved the waffles and hash browns, which was a way to start to our days!In addition to the breakfast, the hotel also offers complimentary wine and beer in the evening, which was a lovely touch. It was nice to be able to unwind after a long day of exploring the area with a glass of wine in hand and chatting with my wife next to the fire pit.The room itself was also fantastic. It was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities one could need, including a comfortable bed, two flat-screen TVs, and high-speed internet. Initially we were seeking a boutique place to stay, but found this last minute. Included in your stay is happy hour beer and wine and an excellent made to order hot breakfast. The room was spacious (King suite), clean and very quiet. There are fire pits and really nice patio furniture in the courtyard, and there was a barbecue serving burgers for less than going out to eat. We were very impressed with the level of quality and service!

Pleasantly surprised. Great happy hour with good collection of free micro beers and wines. Great full breakfast. My wife sent me down twice for the #4 skillet with eggs, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. Room was large and very comfortable bed. Only a couple of nit-picking items. Pillows were a little hard and the bathroom sink was in the bedroom. Quite. Walkable to downtown.

This place is great for a trip to San Luis Obispo. We went for just a night recently and the stay was very good. Youre not going here for luxury, youre going here for location.The hotel is three levels and it didnt feel like there was a bunch of people there when we were there. Theres plenty of parking and its free. The internet is also free and it was working just fine.The rooms are in a word, quirky. There was one bathroom with just a toilet and a shower behind the closed door and then there was a sink in our bedroom as well as the sink in the front sitting room. It seems odd but it works!The website really makes it look a lot more luxurious though than it is. But again, its a perfect hotel. If youre not looking for luxury. I highly recommend it.There was a free breakfast in the morning that was very nice. A lot of choices.The staff was very friendly and helped us a couple times when we needed things. I felt safe in that area and there was no problems at all.

Outstanding!When I checked-in the reception area was very clean and picturesque & the hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly.The was an open bar which was wonderful to see. I must say their SANGRIA was excellent!! 🍇There was convenient free parking included, with “overnight security guard patrol.”The rooms were very clean, updated and lots of space. There was an elevator which was really helpful even though the hotel is only 3 floors.They also serve a FREE continental breakfast which was better than most hotel chains this size. I love that this hotel on the surface seems like a standard hotel but once you stay there, it feels like a mini resort. The breakfast is made to order and doesn’t feel like a standard breakfast bar. The rooms are large and feel like small apartments, the Lobby has a small library, a fountain, and a little snack shop, not to mention the beautiful pool and hot tub area that has an outdoor grill for burgers on selected nights of the week. This was my second time staying here and I will definitely stay again when I’m back in SLO.

Amazing hotel and stay for the price. The location is great, down the street from the main downtown area and the cal poly campus. The room was large, with a front guest room and a tiny balcony. Bed bugsWe checked in...went to our room, checked the beds and found bedbugs...I called the front desk to let her know we were not going to be staying...she apologized and put us in another room...we exchanged room keys...went to the new room, checked the bed and found more bedbugs...needless to say we checked out ( we took pictures of both instances of the bedding)

This is a beautiful property located in the very beautiful place, with lots of great restaurants, many other hotels, bars, breweries and is very close to the ocean. However, I will say that all of the service was great with the exception of the outside vendors selling hot dogs and hamburgers in the outside patio. When I politely asked where my order was after waiting approximately 15 minutes for a hamburger, and seeing other patrons being served before me who ordered after me. I was met with three heavy sighs, and a tremendous bad attitude by the male cook, chef, whatever it was, and when my order WAS ready he (it) just sat my order there without a word, Never mind I had just left him and his female partner a nice tip thinking what a nice place this was. A cool amenities they have there is to serve delicious wines and beers on taps free from 5:00 to 7:00 at the bar. The rooms are really big though a little bit dated, the size and all the amenities in the rooms makes up for it. I wish I would have taken some pictures to share with yall.

Stayed here for 3 nights this week. Wonderful hotel! Rooms are very good size; nice suites that can accommodate up to 4 people. Very clean, the staff is cleaning and hustling nonstop. The property is well maintained. Amazing to see. I sure hope the staff is treated well by management because they work their butts off. Amazing amenities, full breakfast, complimentary wine, beer, soft drinks every evening @ 5:30pm. Concession where they grill and sell hamburgers, hotdogs, grilled chicken sandwiches, cheese steaks and veggie burgers. Prices are reasonable. You can also order food and bring it in. Perfect pool area (pool is heated) and hot tub for families. Plenty of seating around the pool and patio with tables and chairs. A wonderful courtyard in the back with plenty of seating, tables, chairs, Adirondack chairs and music playing throughout the grounds. Location cant be beat. Less than a mile off of 101. Walk to downtown SLO, shopping, dining. Could also walk to CalPoly, less than a mile away. Highly Highly recommend this hotel.

My friend from SLO recommended this place and I’m so glad we took the locals advice.First and foremost, the complimentary breakfast was absolutely epic - everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start my day, and I looked forward to it every morning.The hotels location is also fantastic, as it is within walking distance of the best downtown eatery. This allowed me to easily explore the local dining scene and try out some amazing restaurants. (Firestone Grill, Goshi Japanese Restaurant, Lokum to name few)In the evening, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the hotel offered free wine and beer! I highly recommend their $3 hotdog.One of my favorite features of the room was the separate living room space with a large sofa and dining table, which allowed me to comfortably work from my room.Overall, my stay at the Quality Suites Downtown San Luis Obispo was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, the amenities were impressive, and the location was unbeatable. For a chain hotel it was a very nice hotel. Our room was nice and clean. The outside landscaping was beautiful, and they had a heated pool and jacuzzi. The best part was the free breakfast. There was plenty of food and the food tasted great. They also have a dinner BBQ that was very reasonably priced (around $10) and was well attend. Overall Id give them a 4.5 out of 5 and yes I would stay there again.

I was up working very late, and the night manager and security guard were extremely polite and helpful. The courtyard was lovely, and they left the fire table on for me so I could comfortably work outside, offered me free coffee and tea, and checked in regularly to make sure all was well into the early hours. The lobby was very nice and well maintained. Everything was clean, and pleasantly, unlike many public areas in hotels, didnt reek of industrial cleaners. The rooms are fine. Nothing spectacular but very clean and diligently maintained. 10/10. Will stay here the next time Im in SLO.

Really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are a little dated but are large, quiet and comfortable. I would have preferred a shower cubicle, rather than a shower with curtain over a bath. Also a safe in the room would be good. These are, however, minor issues.What makes this place great are the communal areas; the reception, bar, breakfast room and pool areas are all really well appointed. The complimentary drinks during ‘Happy Hour’ and the complimentary breakfast both exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff too. Definitely worthy of a 5-star review.

Soundproof rooms, virtually. The rooms are super clean and very spacious. Theres a courtyard to sit in with a little fountain and a gazebo. Its very cute. And they have a wonderful breakfast for you. I was expecting cereal and fruit... We had waffles, breakfast burritos, sausage, fruit, muffins. There was a lot to choose from. You dont leave hungry. Very nice experience for a really reasonable price. Especially for a suite. I recommend.

The location is great if youre planning to go downtown. Its a quick 5 minute Uber. The hotel was extremely clean and our room facing the courtyard was nice and quiet. This hotel was downright exquisite. We would happily have stayed there for a month. Most comfortable beds, softest sheets (my husband actually gasped when he got into bed and felt how soft the sheets were). The happy hour reception as well as bbq dinner every evening was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast that was cooked to order! We enjoyed the fire tables and outdoor heaters around the pool area every evening. I’ve never had such a good experience at a hotel and we are hoping to come back for a week in the future.

The photos dont do this place justice. The lobby is so beautiful. The stay was very pleasant. All the amenities you need are provided. The breakfast was great. We missed the happy hour but the food selection looked and sounded amazing. The room was clean and had so much extra space. The only thing that was a little strange was having the sink in the bedroom near the bed with no sound divider. The door into the bathroom is heavy; it dragged while retracting into the wall so it was loud/disturbing going in and out of the bathroom. Getting showered and ready with someone sleeping in the bed is not really possible. Besides that, we would still stay here again.

Great location, big comfortable rooms, friendly staff, a huge delicious breakfast included each morning, & a complimentary happy hour each evening that was great. There was a good little gym too with an elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, free weights, & a cable weight machine. We hiked each day & walked into downtown for dinner each night. The rooms are definitely a little more outdated. The first room I got didnt have hot water in the shower but I got a different room when I alerted the front desk which is nice. The second rooms outlet didnt work with the hair blow-dry. There isnt a door between the bathroom and the bedroom and the marble countertops combo with sink right across from bed is a little weird. Additionally, the heater/Ac was quite loud.However, the bedsheets are soft. Theres made to order breakfast each morning and free local beers and wine each day during happy hour. The lobby looks pretty nice and it has its own charm. Location is also spectacular and super close to downtown and cal poly. People were accommodating and lovely landscaping around the complex.

The rooms looks clean but the hallway is a bit outdated. The bathroom is clean. The sink is outside the bathroom and is facing the bed. The shower has a powerful water outlet.The toilet in our room was running water to the bowl. After we called the front desk, they sent the maintenance team within a few minutes and they fixed it very quickly (it was almost 8pm!).The free breakfast is great. The fresh made omelette is great, and the servers are nice. They also provide yogurt and bagel.Parking is free and it’s easy to find a parking space. Also got elevators for travelers with luggages.The room I stayed was quiet. Almost no traffic sound. The only issue is the tree outside the window will hit the balcony fences/bars when there’s wind, causing a loud sound occasionally. I have told the front desk and hope they can fix it.The vibe of the free happy hour liquor is also good, you can see people talking to each other like in a cocktail party.I would give it 4+ stars. And if the tree brach thing is fixed I would give it 4.5+.

Everything is very clean, comes with a fridge, microwave, and two tvs. They re taking an eco friendly choice and will only service your room once every 3 days, unless specific recommendations. They also do a daily happy hour with beer and wine, complimentary. The gym is very small and the pool looks nice and comfy.

Room was clean and staff friendly. It was during Covid and they did a great job to make us feel safe. The breakfast was handled really well. The took extra care to keep everyone separated and were still able to provide a great hot breakfast with sausage, eggs and bacon. Bacon always makes me happy! The grounds were well kept and landscaped beautifully with a lot of places to sit outside and relax. I highly recommend the stay.

I am there for business weekly so check in is fast under 2 minutes the rooms are really big. The pillows are fluffy too much for me so i bring my own. The pool area is big enough for at least 8 family groups that Ive seen. I stay in the back so it is really quiet. Ive often thought of going to another place but naw.

I stayed for 5 nights around Labor Day 2020. It was my first trip in the COVID era, and I was a bit nervous about traveling in general. The hotel seemed to handle guest safety extremely well, which was a big relief. The evening cocktail hour was fantastic, and being able to buy food from the grill was very convenient.The rooms are a bit dated, and the mattress could have been a bit more comfortable. Overall, the location worked out well, the price was nice, and everyone was friendly. I would gladly stay here again.

I liked this hotel a lot. The amenities far outweigh the minor negatives. Got the king suite. Clean and roomy with separate living space. Lots of room and comfortable bed. Where this place shines are the extras. They have a HUGE free breakfast from 6-930 with everything from eggs, bacon, waffles and everything in between. Also, from 530-730 they have a totally free beer, wine and snacks reception. Good beer like 805 and firestone, all free. Snacks on the tables in a very cozy atmosphere. A lot of extras that push this hotel above the normal Quality Suites. Would stay here again for sure.

Gym was way too small for the property size, people were literally standing waiting for equipment (any equipment) to come free. Although the free airport pick-up and drop off was great and all the employees were friendly so I would stay there again without hesitation.

This is my fourth stay at Quality Suites. Everytime I stay I am so impressed. The first thing you notice is that the whole place is squeaky clean - the pool area, the gazebos, the lobby, the rooms, etc. Ive had the pleasure of meeting the managers and they are gracious hosts that hire the best staff. This hotel was amazing! I will definitely stay there again in the future. The hotel looks and feels more like a resort than your typical Quality Suites location. The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and clean. I appreciated all of the little extras, like fire pits and heat lamps to gather around on chilly evenings. There is a very nice swimming pool and hot tub, fountains, beautiful landscaping and paths through and around the property, and a library to borrow a book for those who want some quiet. The staff were hosting a barbeque by the pool area when I arrived at the hotel in the evening, and guests were also gathered in the bar area for drinks and appetizers. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and I received a quiet, restful nights sleep. The hotels breakfast was just one more way that they went above and beyond for their guests. They provided made-to-order hot dishes, as well as a good selection of pastries, waffles, etc. that guests could help themselves to. I was extremely happy with my choice of hotel.

The rooms are old and dated with weird configuration (sink in the bedroom instead of bathroom). Service was marginal. However, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was great. Instead of a buffet line, they had a breakfast menu (fancy eggs, pancakes etc) which tasted really good. In the evenings, they had a counter at the patio which serves BBQ / grill (eg burritos, fajitas, hot dogs etc) at 2 to 5 bucks. There’s also alcohol and drinks (no payment required) served at the bar around 4-6pm (can’t remember exact timing). Free shuttle to and fro the farmers market was great.

I was visiting the hotel with a local running group. I had driven by the property 100s of times and never been in. They had an awesome open courtyard with a ton of tables and a pool it was really cool. They had a small bar area that seemed nice. By the pool they had the BBQ running selling burgers and since it was a Tuesday tacos. Not sure if this is a regular thing but it was really a nice touch. I rarely review places. Most hotels are average - not as bad or as good as the reviews say. This hotel was a surprise. The room was big, couch and bed were comfortable, location good, and it was dark enough in the room to sleep. We got a suite, so even though we could here people outside when we were sitting on the couch, once we closed the door to the bedroom, we didnt hear a thing.The most surprising part was breakfast. There were people constantly cleaning and cooking. We ate off real plates and had local strawberries! Two outstanding things for any hotel with a free breakfast. If I had one complaint, it would be that there were only styrofoam bowls (rather than reusable plastic).I would stay here again, and Im willing to try other Quality Inns to see if they are anywhere as nice as this one.

The first half of my 2 week stay here was really good.5 am: This morning at 5 am I woke up to loud noise and vibration coming from the roof that shook my windows. I called the front desk and was told the maintenance person would be here in an hour to take a look. They told me they would call me and let me know if there problem was fixed.5:30 pm: I arrived at the hotel and spoke with someone at the front desk. She had no information about the issue and couldnt get a hold of the maintenance person. Again I was told someone would call me with an update.8 pm: Again nobody called so I called the front desk. First they told me the maintenance person couldnt find anything wrong with the AC/heater. Well come back to this point later on. They offered to switch my room and I agreed. Without any offer of help, I moved all my stuff from the first room to the new room. My stay was for 2 weeks so I had a lot of things to move.8:30 pm: After I moved everything, I opened the closet to find the hanger bar at my waist level. There was no room to hang dress pants without touching the floor. Also, there was no iron or ironing board. I was really irritated and went down to the front desk again. The person who had changed my room said she didnt think it was a big deal. Maybe not to her, but I doubt she wears dress pants. I asked to speak with the manager and explained my frustrations. This time I was told the maintenance man was unable to test the AC/heater because they couldnt get a hold of the person in the next room to get their permission. First they said there was no issue and then they said they were unable to test the system.At this time I realized this was a waste of my time. The person I need to speak with is the actual hotel manager, not the night crew manager.ORIGINAL:This is a really nice hotel with friendly staff. Its well maintained and clean. Well...where to begin? My wife & I were greeted with kindness at the front desk along with Spanish style architectural flavor in the main foyer area. When we discovered the entire list of amenities and details offered, we were surprised to find so many offerings for the price of admission! Besides a very friendly & accommodating staff, I think the two most standout amenities were the nightly BBQ reception where you can choose an item listed on a small preset menu, or wait till the cook arrives and find out what the nightly special is. Also, the breakfast that is included with the room rate was very unusual in that not only do they offer a lot of choices in food & drink, they also have a walk up counter area with stove & grill where you can choose from a menu of breakfast combo selections😋. All in all, a very very surprising & unique experience compared to ANY other Quality Inn that we have ever experienced and would highly recommend a stay.

This hotel provides among the best value in SLO. Location with proximity to CalPoly and downtown makes it ideal. The rooms are more than adequate (though furniture and furnishings could use some modernization), and the grounds are great. Nice spot to stay while in SLO. Convenient for both Cal Poly and downtown - 1 mile to each location. They have a free shuttle to Cal Poly Performing Arts Center and downtown - so you can walk or ride. Right off the highway, so hard to get lost. They have good options for the (free) breakfast, a gym with the usual equipment found in a hotel, with pool and spa. They also have a quaint garden area in the back portion of the hotel property, if you dont want to be around the pool. The managers reception is always nice, with free beer and wine from 5:30p-7:30p and a BBQ meal (for purchase) if you decide to stay in. Room rates may be slightly higher then other hotels in the area, but I always choose Quality Inn Suites when in town and recommend to others - especially when coming down for work/recruiting at Cal Poly.

The rooms are composed id 2 beds in a room and a living room with ancouch the transforms into a bed. It can surely host 6 people at least but They do however charge you more if you bring more people. Online you are able to put less people and pay less but youll get charged more when you check in with more people.Service was great. No complains whatsoever.They also have free wine and beer,i believe, everyday at a dedicated time (530p.m.-730p.m.i think). They also have BBQ in the p.m. and they sell the bbq. BUT the rooms are set up extraordinarily well for families... there are two double beds in the back part of the room, a sliding door, and a sofa bed in the front part of the room so you can really separate the kids and the adults if thats what you need to do. Also it has an amazing breakfast! Cooked to order. You can get breakfast burrito scrambled eggs a side of bacon, sausage and potatoes all three or just whatever you want. And also yogurt, pastries, toast, Bagels, hot chocolate, and excellent coffee (and Im a total coffee snob! )In the evening, at least in the summer time they cook up hamburgers hot dogs and tri-tip next to the pool. We did not take advantage of this but I wish we did.The location of the hotel is a little bit far to walk to this super cute downtown, but would be about a $3 Uber ride so you could get pretty quickly.The location is also extremely close to the Amtrak station. If you are interested in taking the train from San Diego to San Luis Obispo it is a $100 round trip ticket.

Located on the main drag just outside of the center of downtown SLO, Quality Suites is a great value considering the size of the rooms and amentities. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms on the smaller side, couches and furniture were a little outdated but the two flatscreens make up for it. Each night theres complementary drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in the tavern plus a great made-to-order breakfast in the morning. On Tuesdays, they fire up the grill and feature a tasty taco Tuesday out by the pool with modern patio furniture and numerous fire pits surrounding the courtyard. I didnt make it to the fitness center, but Im sure its nice too. An added benefit is the hotels proximity to Central Coast Brewing Co., which makes some of the regions best beer; including a few that won medals at GABF. Overall, I would highly recommend Quality Suites to those who may be traveling on a budget but want all the amentities of a higher-end hotel.

I been here before and finally Im back again for I believe a second time. My last stay was excellent. The Only issue I experienced today was a cleaning lady entered my room #313 without knocking entered my room soon after I had checked in. I was on my laptop, the curtain opened, I could see her carrying a bed sheet, I expected a knock at least, and she entered the room, saying sorry as soon as she saw me and then stepped out. I stayed there last week in room 146, I noticed that there were mosquitos in the room and thought nothing of it. The second day I notice bite marks on both of my arms and figured it was mosquito bites.I stayed there for 5 days. As the days went by I kept getting itchier and itchier. Once I got home, I looked up mosquito bites and bedbug bites. It was confirmed, I was bitten by bedbugs. I dont think I would stay at this hotel ever again, I had never experienced anything like this. Its Thursday of the following week and I still cant get rid of these bites and they itch like crazy.
